        동물과 사람유래 Vancomycin 내성 장구균의 항균제 감수성 비교

        It has been recently reported the possibility in the bansfer of antimicrobial resistance to other animals and humans. In particular, vancomycin resistant enterococci (VRE), which have been known as a principal antimicrobial resistant bacteria in humans, have been increased as a pathogen of nosocomial infections. And then animal VRE were suspected as an origin of human VRE. In this study, we isolated Enterococcus spp. from animals, identified by bio- chemical tests, examined for antimicrobial susceptibility, and then compared the antimicrobial susceptibility of VRE among each other as well as human VRE. Enterococcus iecium (29%) was predominant in Enterococcus species (n=122) isolated from animal feces in this study. E. hirae, E. iecalis, E. casseliflam and E. gallinarum were also isolated as rates of 24%, 21%, 16% and 7%, respectively. The resistance of enterococci to penicillin and tetracycline were 66% and 78%, respectively, and the susceptibility of them to chloramphenicol was 66%. Antimicrobial susceptibility test has shown that 91% of VRE from humans (n=11) was susceptible to chloramphenicol and all resistant to penicillin, rifampin and streptomycin. Seventy-five percentage of VRE from chickens (n = 12) was susceptible to rifampin and resistances of them to penicillin, tetracycline and sbeptomycin were 75%, 83%, and l00%, respectively. Therefore, we confirmed the difference of antimicrobial susceptibility from animals and humans, and the antimicrobial susceptibility test could be one of the simple and useful methods for the epidemiological survey of VRE.

        Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA Typing에 의한 동물과 사람 유래 Vancomycin 내성 장구균의 유전학적 비교

        It has been recently reported the possibility in the transfer of antimicrobial resistant to other animals and humans. In particular, the occurrence of vancomycin resistant enterococci (VRE), which have been known as a principal antimicrobial resistant bacteria in humans, has been increased as a pathogen of nosocomial infections. And then animal VRE were suspected as an origin of human VRE. In this work, we investigated the relatedness between VRE from animals and humans through random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) typing. The genetic relatedness of vanA, vanB, vanC-1 and vanC-2 genotypes was examined by RAPD typing, respectively. van4 genotypes have not been shown high genetic relationship each other, containing VRE from humans (n = 8) and chickens (n = 5). In vanB genotypes from humans (n = 3), 2 isolates were made up one cluster, shown 77.8% homology. Chicken isolates of vanC-1 genotypes (n = 11) were constituted 2 clusters and the homology of 2 clusters was 81.8% and 80.0%, respectively. In case of vanC-2 genotypes (n = 19), 2 isolates from pigs have been shown 76.9% homology. But, between VRE from animals and humans, the isolates of high genetic relationship could not be found and RAPD typing was a useful epidemiological method that could be confirmed the genetic relationship among VRE.

      • 숯첨가 사료투여가 넙치의 면역반응에 미치는 영향

        숯첨가 사료 투여가 넙치에 미치는 영향을 알기 위하여, 넙치에 숯 1%, 3%, 5% 첨가사료를 8주간 투여하면서 성장, 혈액성분, 비특이적면역능을 분석하였으며 어병세균인 Edwardsiella tarda 균의 공격 시험에 대한 방어능을 조사하였다. 숯 첨가 사료 투여는 넙치의 성장과 라이소자임 활성에서는 유의적인 차이를 나타내지 못했지만, 5% 숯첨가구에서 혈액 중의 total protein과 cholesterol의 농도가 대조구에 비하여 낮게 나타났다. 그리고, 숯 3% 첨가구에서 두신 식세포의 활성 및 병원성 세균인 E. tarda에 대한 방어능도 가장 높게 나타났다. The charcoal effects on the immune responses of flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus were studied. Fish were fed an experimental diet supplemented with 1%, 3% or 5% of charcoal to a commercial diet. Several factors such as weight gain, hematological parameters, nonspecific immune responses and resistance against Edwardsiella tarda were evaluated 4 and 8 weeks after the administraion. The changes of body weight and lysozyme activities were not signigicant among tested groups. But cholesterol and total protein concentration in the blood were significantly lower in the 5% supplemented group than in the control. The production of superoxide by macrophage from the head kidney, examined by NBT reduction, was significantly higher in the 3% charcoal supplemented groups than in the control. The survival rate after an artificial challenge with 1×10^exp(7) cells of E. tarda per fish was significantly the highest in the 3% charcoal supplemented group.

      • 空氣中 正極性 Spark Channel의 磁氣場에 의한 影響

        The influences of magnetic field on the positive spark channel of point-to-rod gap under steady potentials in air were studied by means of two cameras and an oscilloscope. The direction of magnetic field was perpendicular to the gap axis, and the magnetic field strength ranging from 0 to 6.6kG was applied. The positive spark channel was deflected in the direction of the Lorentz force. Therefore, it was confirmed that the positive streamer model, which says the streamer is progressing with positive space charge on its tip, is reasonable. The first step length of the spark channel was increased as the magnetic field strength was increased, but it was abruptly decreased at about 4kG. Then, it showed constant above 5kG. However, it first step deflection length was increased at about 3kG. But it was decreased from 3kG to 4kG. It was unchanged above 5kG.

      • 일측성선조체의 6-OHDA손상 후 도파민효능약물 투여로 발현된 회전운동의 특성

        The present study examined the characteristics of behavior induced by dopamine agonists following treatment with 6-hydroxydopamine(6-OHDA) unilaterally into left striatum in rats. 6-OHDA was administered at doses of 8.16 and 24 ㎍/2㎕(in 0.1% ascorbic acid) into dopaminergic neurons in left striatum of 7 weeks old rat under anesthetic. Locomotor activity was significantly decreased at 1 week following 6-OHDA-administration in 7 weeks old rats. The contralateral circling behaviour was inducd by apomorphine(5 ㎎/㎏, I.p.) after 1 week following 6-OHDA(24 ㎍/2㎕) treatment, and was further increased by repeated administration of apomorphine at 2, 3 and 4 weeks. The contralateral circling behavior was also induced by lisuride and 1-dopa in a dose dependent manner, but not by SK & F 82526 in 7 weeks old rats treated with 6-OHDA, The contralteral circling behavior ws significantly higher in 21 weeks old rats but significantly lower in 35 weeks old rats when compared with 7 weeks old rats. The contralateral circling behavior induced by apomorphine did not differ significantly in and 35 weeks old male and female rats. These results suggest that 6-OHDA treatment into left striatum causes remarkable destruction of intrastriatal dopaminergic neurons leading to dopaminergic receptor supersensitivity. Thus, the contralateral circling behavior induced by apomorphine may be used as indicator for neurodegenerative diseases.

        The characteristics of corona onset of point-to-plane gap under positive steady potentials in air were studied by means of a quartz-lens camera and an oscilloscope. A Van de Graaff generator which could produce a potential of 350 kV as maximum was used for the high potential source and various point electrodes whose tip radii ranging from 0.5㎜ to 5㎜ were used as anode. The results show that the frequency of corona was decreased as the gap length was increased and the frequency of corona was increased as the radius of anode tip was increased. As to the corona figure, it was known that the axial length of streamers were proportional to the radius of anode tip, and the distance to the maximum radial spreading point of streamers along the gap axis became smaller to the anode tip as the radius of anode tip was decreased.

        The characteristics of the corona onset of point-to-plane gap under negative steady potentials in air were studied by using a quartz-lens camera, an electrometer, a Van de Graaff generator and an osilloscope. The results indicated that the larger the point radius was, the more irregular corona observed. As the gap length increases, the corona onset potential increased exponentially in the short range and increased linearly for the constant point radius and as a funtion of point radius for the fixed gap length. The corona current decreased as the gap length increased for the constant point radius while it increased as the point radius increased with the fixed gap length. As to the corona figure, we have also found that the axial length of streamers increased slowly for the increase of gap length.

      • Lichtenberg Figure法에 의한 電氣絶綠材料의 開發

        The characteristics of Lichtenberg Figures on X-ray films and electrical insulators, and their breakdown processes under positive impulse potentials were investigated using two photomultipliers and an oscilloscope. The results are follows; (1) It was found that two kinds of streamers are appeared in coplaner mode, that is air streamers and film streamers. The former travels with a speed of about 10°cm/sec while the later about 10^7cm/sec. (2) The length of film streamer is not proportional to the applied voltage but to the streamer onset voltage. The current of Lichtenberg Figure on X-ray is increased as an exponential function of the onset voltage. (3) The spark breakdown process of Lichtenberg Figure on X-ray film is similar to that of air, regarding the voltage, current and light pulse oscillograms when the spark is occurred. The spark follows a leader channel which is formed by steps after the primary type streamers were appeared several times. (4) On the surface of solid insluators, the streamer onset voltage is increased as the surface resistivity of insulator is increased. The length of Lichtenberg Figure is proportional to the relative permittivity of insulator and is inverse proportional to the thickness of insulator.

      • 低氣壓放電에 있어서 初期電離波의 特性

        Characteristics of the initial ionizing waves under impulse voltages at a point-to-plane gap in low pressure discharge were studied by using two photomultiplier tubes and an oscilloscope. The results are as follows; 1. The onset voltage, current and time lags of the ionizing waves are exponentially increased as the pressure is increased which ranges from 9.0 × 10 exp (-2)torr to 1.8 × 10 exp (-1)torr. 2. There are two sorts of ionizing waves which were named as the 1st and the 2nd ionizing waves respectively. Velocities of the 1st ionizing waves are about 4.6 × 10 exp (6)㎝/sec∼2.0 × 10 exp (7)㎝/sec and those of the 2nd ionizing waves are about 1.6 × 10 exp (6)㎝/sec∼1.3 × 10 exp (7)㎝/sec. Their velocities are increased as the pressure is increased. 3. In lower pressure, the shapes of the ionizing waves are spread out in all the region of gap. Long positive column is developed from the anode to the cathode in higher pressure.
