In general, circuit board assemblies experience various mechanical loadings during assembly and in actual use. The repeated cyclic bending can cause electrical failures due to circuit board cracks, solder interconnects cracks, and the component cracks. In this paper, we report on the failure characteristics of board level flip chips under the repeated cyclic bending. We first describe a new 4-point bending tester, which is developed according to JEDEC standard No.. 22B113. The performance of the tester is then estimated through actual experiments . Test results reveal that the cracks first occur on the outer balls around 20,000 cycles and gradually propagate to the inner balls where cracks are found around 70,000 cycles.

요꼬가와吸蟲症 治療에 있어서 Praziquantel(Distocide^(�))의 效果

國産 praziquantel(Distocide^(ⓡ))의 요꼬가와吸蟲感染에 대한 治療效果를 알아보기 위하여 전라남도 강진군 탐진강 流域의 住民 중에서 68名의 蟲卵陽性者를 색출하고 體重당 100㎎/㎏의 praziquantel을 單回 투여한 후 70일에 追跡大使檢査를 실시하여 驅蟲效果를 判定하였다. 結果는 다음과 같다. 1. 총 45名의 追跡檢査者 중 41名이 蟲卵陰轉되어 91.1%의 治療率(care rate)을 보였으며 이들의 投藥前 E.P.G 合計가 125,600이었던 것이 投藥後 800으로 減少되어 99.4%의 蟲卵率을 보였다. 2. 驅蟲效果는 投藥前 感染强度(E.P.G)에 따라 다소 다른 것으로 나타났으며 輕感染者일수록 높은 效果를 보였다. 3. 藥劑服用에 의한 副作用은 2例에서 가벼운 頭痛이나 현기증을 호소한 이외에는 전혀 문제되지 않았다. 이상의 結果로 볼 때 國産 praziquantel(Distocide^(ⓡ)) 요꼬가와吸蟲症에 대하여 10㎎/㎏ 單回投與로 매우 우수한 驅蟲效果를 보이는 것이 立證되었고 效果, 投藥法, 副作用 등을 감안할 때 집단치료 약제로서 손색이 없을 것으로 생각되었다. Among them 25 heavy infection cases were purged ~ i t l 20-20g of magnesium sulfzte(MIgS04) one hour after the treatrcent. Follow up stool exammztion was done after 70 days and the drug efficacy was estimated in terms of cure(=egg negati7-e conversion) and egg reduction rates. The results were as follows: 1. AIiong 45 follm- up cases 41 were cured(91.1% in cure rate) and the pre-treatment E.P. G.(eggs per gram of feces). 125,600, was reduced to 800 after the treatment(gg.4X in egg reduction rate). 2. The cure rates x-ere dependent upon the degiee of E.P.G.; the lower the intensity of infection before treatment, the higher the cure rate was obtained. 3. There x-ere nearly no side effects due t o drug administration except f o r slight degree of headache and dizziness in 2 cases. From these results, it is concluded that lOmg/kg single dose of praziquantel (Distocide") is highly recommendable in treatment of M. gokogawat infection.

Circuit board assemblies experience various mechanical loadings during assembly and in actual use. The repeated cyclic bending can cause electrical failures due to circuit board cracks, solder interconnects cracks, and the component cracks. This paper presents a cylic bending tester developed especially for evaluating the reliability of board level flip chips under the repeated cyclic bending. The tester employs the concept of 4-point bending test and complies to JEDEC standard No. 22B113 that is intended to evaluate and compare the performance of surface mount electronic components in an accelerated test environment. The performance of the tester will be estimated through the cross check of the test results in the future work.

은행의 위험선호 변화가 은행성과에 미치는 영향

1990년대에는 금융시장의 환경변화로 인하여 대출금리가 예금금리보다 낮아지는 등 은행의 전통적인 이윤창출기능에 근본적인 변화가 발생하고 있다. 이러한 환경변화는 각 국의 감독기관이 제시한 은행의 건전성 기준과 국제결제은행의 위험가중자본비율기준의 영향과 관련이 있는 것으로 일시적인 현상으로 보기 어렵다. 금융시장의 발전으로 기업은 자금조달을 위하여 은행차입보다는 주식발행을 선호할 유인이 생겼으며, 가계부문 역시 제2금융권과의 거래가 활발해지고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 상황에서 은행 역시 자금운영을 대출위주에서 다양한 금융상품에 대한 투자로 확대하고 있다. 본 연구는 은행의 자산운영 변화로 인한 위험수준의 증감이 수익성에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하고 있다. 분석결과에 의하면 은행의 위험수준 변동과 수익성 변화는 무관하지 않은 것으로 보인다. The purpose of this study is to empirically examine bank behavior with respect to observed changes in risk-taking and performance. Under Basle Accord these variables are related to capital ratio and bank lending. Lending is influenced by any environment where changes in economic conditions cause changes in the probability of insolvency. If the probability of borrower default increases and hence the probability of bank failure increases, banks want to reduce their default risk and thus will reduce lending under the norm. The same with this case, If the cost of lending increases and hence the profit of bank reduces, banks will reduce lending under the norm. To complete the purpose of this study. the simultaneous equations model developed by Shrieves-Dahl(1992), and later modified by Aggarwal-Jacques(1998) to study the impact of risk-based capital, is used to examine how capital regulations simultaneously influenced bank risk-taking and performance. This study analyzes the annual data on domestic banks for the period from 1988 to 2000 and divided the period into two sub-periods, period I(1988-1992)·period II (1993-2000). Data were obtained from KIS-FAS database and Korea Bank annual reports. The main results of this study can be summarized as this. I find some evidence that supports significant relation between changes of ROA and risk-taking in period II. But I couldn't find any relationship in period I. The different result between periods maybe imply some effect of capital regulation.

抗精神病藥物이 血淸 Dopamine-β-Hydroxylase 活性度에 미치는 影響 : 慢性 精神分裂病患者를 中心으로

To investigate the effect of antipsychotic drugs directly, the serum dopamine-beta-hydroxylase activty was measured before and after three weeks' washout period in chronic schizophrenics. Total number of subjects were eighty-two chronic schizophrenics, consisting of forty-eight male and thirty-four female patients. The diagnostic criteria was based on DSM-Ⅲ and duplicated assay was applied by modified Udenfriend method. The results were as follows; 1. After three weeks' washout period, the serum dopamine-beta-hydroxylase activity was 13.50±2.12 in male, 11.72±2.12 in total patients. Serum dopamine-beta-hydroxylase activity of female patients were significantly lower than in male patients.(p<0.001) 2. The range of serum dopamine-beta-hydroxylase in total patients was from 8.45 to 18.45㎛ol/min/1, which is relatively small compared with previous reports in the literature. 3. During the three weeks' washout period, the percent change was -8.81±17.35% in male (p<0.01), 1.94±20.92% in female(N.S), and -4.35±19.64%(p<0.05) in total patients compare to the serum dopamine-beta-hydroxylase activity of three weeks' washout period. The difference between male and female(p<0.02) is not clear. 4. During the three weeks' washout period, the absolute value of percent change was 16.48±10.36% in male, 17.71±13.93% in female, and 16.57±11.40% in total patients. (all, p<0.001) 5. The percent change of serum dopamine-beta-hydroxylase activity did not seem to be related to the type of drugs, dose of drugs, age, hospital duration, duration of illness, and the presence of active symptom. 6. In summary, the current findings suggest that the interpretation of data indicating low serum dopamine-beta-hydroxylase activity in medicated schizophrenics should be made with caution.

加味鷄血藤湯이 Glutamate receptor와 Free radical 및 뇌손상 보호에 미치는 영향

This study was investigated to prove the effect of GMGHT on the gultamate receptor, free radical and brain damage in rats sujected to Brain Ischemia The results were as follows ; 1. GMGHT showed significant inhibitory effect of GMGHT on LDH release induced by NMDA, AMPA, and kinate. 2. GMGHT showed significant inhibitory effect of GMGHT on LDH release induced by BSO and Fe^2+. 3. GMGHT decreased coma duration time in a infatal dose of KCN and showed 30% of survival rate in a fatal dose. 4. GMGHT decreased ischemic area and edema incited by the MCA blood flow block. 5. GMGHT showed improvement of forelimb test after MCA occulusion in neurological exemination. 6. GMGHT showed no significant change after MCA occulusion in pathological observation as normal group. These results indicate that GMGHT can be used in the brain damage sujected to Brain Ischemia. Further study will be needed about the functional mechanism and etc.

國産 Praziquantel (Cestocide^(�)의 無鉤條蟲 및 廣節裂頭條蟲에 對한 治療效果

Praziquantel(Cestocide^ⓡ), Korean product, was tested for its efficacy in the treatment of Taenia saginata and Diphylobothrium latum infection during the period from May 1983 to October 1985, A total of 30 patients were treated with 10~30㎎/㎏ single dose of praziquantel and purged with 20~30g of magnesium sulfate to recover the worms. The results were as follows: 1. The patients were 26 cases of T. saginata and 4 cases of D. latum and after the treatment all of them discharged tapeworm segments with or without their scolices. The scolex recovery rate was 43.3%(from 11 and 2 cases of T. saginata and D. Iatum respectively). 2. The follow[up examination for eggs and/or proglottides performed 2~3 months later or 11 out of 17 scolex-unidentified cases gave all negative results. From the results it is concluded that praziquantel(Cestocide^ⓡ) in 10㎎/㎏ single dose is highly effective in treatment of these tapeworm infections.

Sn-xAg-0.5Cu 무연 솔더 볼의 파단특성 연구

This paper presents a study on the failure characteristics of SnAgCu lead-free solder balls. To estimate the effect of Ag, three types of SnAgCu balls are first prepared by varying the weight percent of Ag (1.0, 3.0, 4.0 wt%) and then analyzed by reliability tests such as thermal shock, high speed ball shear, and drop tests. Thermal shock test reveals that the higher the weight percent of Ag is, the longer the fatigue life becomes. To the contrary, high speed ball-shear test and drop test show that the shear strength and the fracture toughness of solder balls are inversely proportional to the weight percent of Ag, respectively. Reasons for these observations will be further investigated in the future work.
