Local injections of botulinum toxin A have been reported in the treatment of neurogenic bladder dysfunctions including detrusor sphincter dyssynergia and detrusor overactivity. We reports a case of intradetrusor injection of botulinum toxin type A in acervical cord injured patient with neurogenic overactive detrusor refractory to high dose anticholinergic medication. Botulinum toxin A (200 units) was injected cystoscopically into the detrusor in 40 sites over the bladder with sparing the trigone. Urodynamic studies were performed at baseline, and eight days, four weeks, and eight weeks after intradetrusor injection. There was marked improvement of the urodynamic parameters including maximum cystometric capacity and maximum detrusor pressure after intradetrusor botulinum toxin injection.

Purpose: Numbers and severity of the injured segments and neurological recovery patterns are both vague and confused following cauda equina syndrome (CES). We evaluated the characteristics of CES according to the causes of the injuries resulting in CES. Subjects and Methods: Thirty-nine cases of CES diagnosed by clinical features and electrophysiological studies were recruited. We investigated segments or roots involved, muscle strength grades of key muscles, external anal sphincter tones, and changing patterns of theses findings. Their characteristics were compared according to the traumatic and non-traumatic lesions. Results: In traumatic lesions, lower segments, such as sacral roots, were involved more frequently and severely (p<O.OOl). In non-traumatic lesions, L5 and Sl roots were more injured and S2,3,4 roots were less injured (p<O.05). However, there was no significant difference of severity among the injured segments in non-traumatic disorders. There was no typical recovery pattern in both traumatic and non-traumatic cases. Conclusions: In traumatic CES, lower segments or roots were injured more prevalently and severely. Relatively, upper segments were more affected in non-traumatic CES.

This paper studied the relationship between customer intention and behavior in multiplex, and empirically compared four multiplexes with regard to customer behavior, where the four multiplexes were objects of our research. For our study a hypothesis were suggested about the relationship and tested. The number of subjects in this study was 346 persons stayed at four multiplexes, among which we obtained valid responses from 326 persons through questionnaire investigation. For the testing, used methods are Spearman's correlation, Mann-Whitney test, etc. Thus, we found statistically significant results. The relation between customer's intention and customer's real behavior is positive, where the behavior means that there has been real facts that he/she has revisited, informed by word of mouth, and stayed at multiplex in the past. Here only the relation was a little weak(p<0.1) between the revisit intention and facts that he/she has revisited in the past.

응급센터에서의 의료소송 판례 분석과 향후 과제 : Analysis of Medical Malpractice Claims and Future Object in the Emergency Department

Background: lawsuits associated with medical troubles are increasing rapidly. Beginning with 69 cases in 1989, the annual rate of increase has reached above 36%. After the system of emergency medical specialist was born in 1995, it was expected that medical lawsuit cases would increase due to the importance of the emergency medical specialist's role to the emergent patients. Methods: A database was established for medical lawsuits(1982~1998, n=254), and lawsuits involving the emergency department(1982~1998, n=16) were selected from that database. Results: In criminal cases, the prosecutor's win rate was one out of four(25%). In civil cases, the prosecutor's win rate was 8 out of 10(80%); that is, the rate was higher than in general medical cases. Conclusion: To reduce the number of lawsuit following medical troubles in the emergency department, we should give careful attention and appropriate cure to patients who visit the emergency center.

Lately, with Korean movie industry's development as well as people's more spare time, people's interest in multiplex grows higher. This paper is interested in relationships between service quality and customer's satisfaction in multiplex. The relationships are studied in the form of empirical hypothesis testing. The number of subjects in this study was 346 persons stayed at four multiplexes, among which we obtained valid responses from 326 persons through questionnaire investigation. Reliability was checked using Chronbach's alpha. For the hypothesis testing, used methods are Spearman's correlation, Mann-Whitney test, etc, and for statistical analysis, SPSS 10.1 software was used. Thus, we found statistically significant results : the relation between service quality and customer's satisfaction is positive, that is, the higher is customer's satisfactory evaluation in service quality which is measured by tangibleness, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy, the higher is customer's satisfaction level. In addition, we evaluated service quality level of four multiplexes, then we could know which multiplex was better and which was worse. With the information given in this paper we can attain higher customer satisfaction and notice how to operate multiplex effectively regarding service quality.

전공별 무용 상해에 관한 조사 연구

The studies is aimed to find out the problems and to devise its proper measure for prevention by reviewing and by analyzing the information derived from questionnaire method regarding the injury situation. At the result of survey conducted subject to the current 301 student dancer who are sampled from Universities throughout the seoul by random sampling. 1. It was found that 95% of dancer experienced injury while they play the dance and 63.5% of dancer experienced frequently 2. As the term of major is longer, the more the probability of injury, and the mortal the injury. 3. 66.1% of dancer had sawn the other dancer stop major because of injury. As we found in this article, in spite of the many studios on dance injury in many aspects, Injury prevention and self-cure was very lack. I conclude that more studies on prevention dance injury must be carried and most important thing is that dancer must take care oneself whenever dance and exercise.

Non-destructive test on the size and depth of cracks has been required for the safety evaluation of structures. Ultrasonic method based on laser techniques is one of the most popular non-destructive methods which overwhelm PZT based tests. In the present paper, ultrasonic was generated by high powered Q switching Nd:YAG pulse laser. Experiments were carried out using Fabry-Perot interferometer which was intensively discussed in the present study.

보신 관광에서 감염된 수입성 Sparganosis 1예 : Intake of Thailand Snake during Trip

Human sparganosois was reported more than 100 cases in Korean population. However no case reported yet in Korea as a patient was infected by sparganum from other geographical area, such as Thailand. The case we are reported here is a 38 year-old Korean male who had been suffered from mass being a small, round and soft consistance in upper portion of his right thigh. The patients stated that he had an opportunity to eat living snake in Bangkok, Thailand during trip. As therapy praziquantel (75㎎/㎏/day) was given p.o. for 14 days, but in vain to cure. Following medical treatment, surgical exicision was performed to remove a alive, soft, whitish-milky, mobile and elongated sparganum. Serlogical test by micro-ELISA for sparganum-specific antibody revealed a high serum antibody level of absorbance 0.67 (positive criterion: absorbance 0.22).
