원격탐사에 사용되는 편미분방정식을 고속으로 풀기 위한 기법을 프로그래밍하고 성능을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법을 제시했다. 미지수가 30만개 이상되는 복소수(non-Hermitian) 행렬의 해를 구하는 프로그램을 작성했다. 이 프로그램은 C와 PVM에 기반을 두고 있다. 수렴속도를 향상시키기 위해 대각 스케일링을 이용했다. 통신속도의 개선을 위해 데이터 압축 기법을 이용했다. 수렴속도를 측정 제시함으로써 실제 문제 적용에 참고할 수 있다. Network-based computing with cluster of personal computers or workstations recently has become an important and successful technique. Network-based computing enables fast computation and resolves short of storage with computers on the desks. Cluster of inexpensive computers offers them aggregated computing power and storage to challenge very large-scale problems. Iterative solvers are used for the large sparse linear systems. Preconditioners accelerate the rate of convergence of the iterative solvers. However, parallelization accelerate the rate of convergence of the iterative solvers. However, parallelization of preconditioners is far from satisfaction so far. Thus, the simplest diagonal scaling is a good alternative for improved convergence and easy parallelization. In order to reduce communication overhead, a data compression technique is considered. Data communication time can be reduced at the cost of convergence rate. MATLAB simulation result is given in this paper. This method is effective to cluster of computers connected through slow networks.
Effects of Phenytoin and Diazepam on the Seizure Activity in the Cortical Dysplasia Animal Models

Dysplasia-associated seizure disorders are markedly resistant to pharmacological intervention. Relatively little research has been conducted studying the effects of antiepileptic drugs(AEDs) on seizure activity in a rat model of dysplasia. We have used rats exposed to methylazoxymethanol acetate(MAM) in utero, an animal model featuring nodular heterotopia, to investigate the effects of AEDs in the dysplastic brain. Pilocarpine was used to induce acute seizure in MAM-exposed and age-matched vehicle-injucted control animals. Field potential recordings were used to monitor amplitude and numbers population spikes, and paired pulse inhibition in response to stimulation of commissural pathway. Two commonly used AEDs were tested: diazepam 5, 2.5mg/kg;phenytoin 40, 60mg/kg. Diazepam(DZP) and phenytoin(PHT) reduced the amplitude of population spike in control and MAM-exposed rats. However, the amplitude of population spike was nearly eliminated in control rats as compared to the MAM-exposed rats. Pharmaco-resistance was tested by measuring seizure latencies in awake rats after pilocarpine administration(320mg/kg, i.p.) with and without pretreatment with AEDs. Pre-treatment with PHT 60 mg prolonged seizure latency in control rats, but not in MAM-exposed animals. The main findings of this study are that acute seizures initiated in MAM-exposed rats are relatively resistant to standard AEDs assessed in vivo. These data suggest that animal model with cortical dysplasia can be used to screen the effects of potential AEDs.
Floristic study of Jang-do (Isl.) in Korea

We investigated the flora of Jang-do (Isl.), an island of the Heuksan archipelago, located in Heuksan-myeon, Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do and discussed the remarkable plants found there. Thirteen-field trips (total 27 days) were completed from May of 2004 to May of 2013. As a result, we identified the distribution of 423 taxa in Jang-do (Isl.), comprising 104 families, 285 genera, 335 species, 78 varieties and 10 forms. There are a total of 95 taxa of floristic regional indicator plants. The floristic regional indicators are as follows; four taxa of level V such as Impatiens furcillata, four taxa of level IV such as Hosta yingeri, 14 taxa of level III such as Ophioglossum vulgatum, 5 taxa of level II, and 58 taxa of level I. In addition 10 red data plants, 2 vulnerable species (VU) including Calanthe striata for. sieboldii, and 4 least concern species (LC) like Ardisia crenata, 2 not evaluated species (NE) such as Hosta yingeri, were found in the investigated area. An unrecorded species, Fragaria (Rosaceae), was found in a forest of Jang-do (Isl.) for the first time in Korea.

지도 영상에서 기호를 자동으로 인식하는 작업은 종이지도 제작 및 스캐닝 과정에서의 왜곡으로 인해 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 논문에서는, 지도 영상을 조사하여 기호일 가능성이 높은 후보 대상물들을 고립된 경우와 중첩된 경우로 분리하여 처리하는 방법을 제안한다. 고립된 후보 대상물들은 전 처리 과정을 거친 후 기호로 인식하며, 중첩된 후보 대상물들은 위치만을 자동으로 추출한 후 사용자가 효율적으로 입력할 수 있도록 한다. 해상도 400dpi 등고판 영상에 대한 실험을 통하여, 본 논문에서 제안한 기호 추출 및 인식 방법의 타당성을 검증하였다. It is very difficult to recognize the symbols within map image automatically because of the distortion taking place through the process of producing or scanning the paper map. In this thesis, specific method is proposed to divide objects theat are highly possible to become symbols in the map image. The symbols are treated either as isolated or as overlapped symbols, and processed separatively. In case of isolated symbols, they are recognized as symbols through preprocessing, however, in case of isolated symbols, they are recognized as symbols through preprocessing, however, in case of overlapped symbols, just their location are extracted automatically and then shown to users, who are made to input them effciently. Appropriateness of the proposed method on extracting and recognition of symbols is verified through the experiment in scanned map image(400dpi).
효율적인 수치지도 오류 검사 및 수정 방안에 관한 연구

수치지도는 지리정보시스템의 기본 공간자료로서, 정확성과 일관성에 문제가 있는 수치지도 데이터를 응용분야에 도입하여 사용할 경우에는 심각한 문제를 초래할 수 있다. 따라서, 수치지도에 존재하는 오류를 효율적으로 검출하고 수정할 수 있는 도구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는, 점과 선간의 위상적 특성을 지닌 내부 자료구조, 특정 지형·지물에 대해 규정된 표현 정보, 기존 도면 영상 등을 활용하여, 수치지도의 오류를 자동으로 검출하고, 오류 유형에 따라 자동 편집 및 사용자 판단에 의한 대화형 편집을 수행할 수 있는 수치지도 오류 검사 및 수정 방안을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법은 수치지도 오류 검사 및 수정작업의 시간과 비용을 줄이고, 작업자의 숙련도에 관계없이 품질의 일관된 유지를 가능하게 한다. Digital maps are the basic spatial data for Geographical information system(GIS). If digital maps that are incorrect and have a few problems in consistency, are used to GIS application, they may caused the serious problems. Therefore in order to detect and correct the errors included in the digital maps to the development of the efficient error checking and correcting tool for digital maps is required. In this paper, using the internal data structure to describe the topology between points and lines, specification of description for the specified terrain and spatial objects and existing map images scanned, error checking and correcting method is proposed. This tool decreases the time and expenses to correct digital maps and guarantees the good quality of digital maps disregarding the qualification of the users.
