        The real-time pattern recognition is widely used in the image recognition or auto sentry systems to be implemented by the DSP chip which is adequate for real-time processing. The pattern recognition can be performed by two methods, i.e. the feature-based matching and template one mainly. Generally, the feature-based matching, such as DLM(dynamic linking matching), is very difficult to utilize as a software for the development of real-time processing system. So as to be possible for real-time processing is the template matching desirable. In this paper, we have proposed the image acquisition and processing system for face detection. By applying the PCA(principal component analysis), we made the template to be matched with the input image acquired by the implemented system. And then the face region could be extracted from the input image by the computations of the Euclidean distances between the template and the sub-images. The system, which is based on the TMS320C31 DSP chip, consists of the video signal A/D, D/A converter, image acquisition part, and DSP part.

        Enhanced electrochemical performance of LiFe<sub>0.4</sub>Mn<sub>0.6</sub>(PO<sub>4</sub>)<sub>1-x</sub>(BO<sub>3</sub>)<sub>x</sub> as cathode material for lithium ion batteries

        A potential cathode material for lithium ion batteries has been developed using a boron polyanion substituted lithium iron manganese phosphate, LiFe<SUB>0.4</SUB>Mn<SUB>0.6</SUB>(PO<SUB>4</SUB>)<SUB>1-x</SUB>(BO<SUB>3</SUB>)<SUB>x</SUB> (x=0 to 0.03). Without any external carbon source, the material has been synthesized by solid-state reaction using ball-mill and was subsequently characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, electron energy loss spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, and galvanostatic charge-discharge measurement. The LiFe<SUB>0.4</SUB>Mn<SUB>0.6</SUB>(PO<SUB>4</SUB>)<SUB>1-x</SUB>(BO<SUB>3</SUB>)<SUB>x</SUB> samples show a single-phase crystalline nature with X-ray diffraction analysis, and enhanced discharge capacity at various C-rates as compared to that of pure LiFe<SUB>0.4</SUB>Mn<SUB>0.6</SUB>PO<SUB>4</SUB>. Among several LiFe<SUB>0.4</SUB>Mn<SUB>0.6</SUB>(PO<SUB>4</SUB>)<SUB>1-x</SUB>(BO<SUB>3</SUB>)<SUB>x</SUB> samples, LiFe<SUB>0.4</SUB>Mn<SUB>0.6</SUB>(PO<SUB>4</SUB>)<SUB>0.995</SUB>(BO<SUB>3</SUB>)<SUB>0.005</SUB> demonstrated the best cycleability, exhibiting an initial discharge capacity of 159.4mAhg<SUP>-1</SUP> at 0.1C and 113mAhg<SUP>-1</SUP> at 3C. LiFe<SUB>0.4</SUB>Mn<SUB>0.6</SUB>(PO<SUB>4</SUB>)<SUB>1-x</SUB>(BO<SUB>3</SUB>)<SUB>x</SUB> demonstrates enhanced electrochemical properties with excellent reversible cycling via boron polyanion substitution.

        소프트웨어 개발 기법 중 객체지향 기법은 二 특성으로 인해 소프트웨어 생산성 증진에 많은 도움을 주고 있다. 그러나, 객체지향 기법의 특성 중 상속성 및 다형성은 복잡한 메시지 전달의 원인이 되어 프로그램 이해에 어려움을 준다. 이런 단점을 극복하기 위해 C++ 언어로 작성된 프로그램을 동적 분석을 통해 메시지 전송 객체와 메시지 수신 객체간의 구조를 계층적으로 가시화 시켜주는 구조도 생성 도구의 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 구조도 생성 도구를 설계하고 구현한다.

      • 여대생의 월경불편감 정도와 식습관에 관한 연구

        Purpose: This study was done to identify the correlation between the menstrual discomforts and dietary habits of young university women in order to provide the basic needs and make improvements on the quality of life for women. Method: The Menstrual Discomfort Questionnaire (MDQ) and Nutrition Diagnosis for Health were the tools used. The participants were 279 female university students in Seoul. Result: Factors related to MDQ were found to be the VAS scores (r=.361, p=.002), menstrual discomfort according to stress consciousness (F=3.756, p=.025), experiences of taking medicine (F= 4.130 p= .043), the types of residential forms (F=6.197, p=.000), recognition of menstrual period (F=5.466, p=.020), eating breakfast, the frequency of carbohydrates intake (F=5.28, p=.006), the frequency of vegetable intake, seaweed and mushrooms (F=4.98, p=.008). As a result of the study, there is a correlation between menstrual discomforts of female university students and dietary habits. Conclusion: In order to decrease the discomforts of the menstrual cycle that usually includes pain and bloating a well-balanced dietary habit is needed. A balance diet includes grain, vegetables, and mushroom should be taken in normal meals. We should confine the dietary habits that form severe menstrual discomfort in people and give them recommendations for ideal dietary habits that would ideally decrease the pain caused by menstruation. Therefore it is necessary that the education program and nursing mediation should be developed as a program that would aid in decreasing menstrual discomforts. In future studies, a similar study with at a larger scale should be conducted with more recommended specified nutritional assessment.

      • 전국 주요 시장에서 시판 중인 진주담치에 함유된 마비성 패독에 관한 조사 연구

        마비성 패독(paralytic shellfish poison)은 강력한 자연계 신경독으로 먹이연쇄를 통해 패류에 축적되며 이를 인간이나 동물이 섭취할 경우 마비성 패류 중독(paralytic shellfish poisoning)을 발생하게 된다. 마비성 패류 중독은 미국, 캐나다 및 일본 등지에서 비교적 호발하고 있으나, 우리나라의 경우 최초의 공식 보고는 1986년 4월 부산지역에서 발생된 집단 중독례로 원인 패류는 진주담치(blue mussel, Mytilus edulis)였다. 본 조사자들은 1989년 4월부터 7월까지 전국 주요 시장 38개소에서 시판 중인 진주담치를 수거하여 mouse bioassay를 이용하여 마비성 패독 함유량을 산정하였기에 보고하고자 한다. Bioassays on paralytic shellfish poison(PSP) in blue mussels(Mytilus edulis) were earned out. The subject matters were collected from 38 markets of 26 places throughout the country, during the period of April to July, 1989. At the time of collection, they were classified into two groups by their sites produced either natural or cultured. As a result, it was identified that two subject matters which were collected from markets of both Boryong and Chinhae contained PSP. The PSP toxicity scores were 47.97㎍/100gm meat in Boryong, 48.84㎍/100gm meat in Chinhae respectively, which are much lower than the level of lethal dose. Hewever it is noticeable that blue mussels in markets contained PSP, which may increase the risk of paralytic shellfish poisoning. From the view point of public health, control measures for preventing paralytic shellfish poisoning are necessary.

        Fe-3 % Si 단결정의 (001) 과 (111) 면에 대한 Nd:YAG 레이저 펄스 조사와 기계적 압입에 의한 변형기구 비교

        In order to compare the slip deformation modes of Fe-3%Si singe crystals created by mechanical indentation and Nd : YAG laser pulse, they were indented with the Rockwell diamond brale and irradiated with the Nd : YAG laser pulse. The slip traces generated on (111) and (001) surface planes were analysed by trace analysis method. The microstructures in both deformed specimens were observed by Nomarski microscope and TEM. Mechanical indentation on (111) and (001) surface planes resulted that the slips had taken place on {110} and {112} planes along $lt;111$gt; direction. Meanwhile laser irradiation showed that the slips had also taken place on {123} planes in addition to {110} and {112} planes due to thermal effect. It seems that a strain rate had larger effect on the spacing of slip bands in Fe-3% Si single crystal compared with temperature increase. Dislocation density was higher in mechanically indented specimen and they were tangled each other. Mean while dislocation density was lower in laser irradiated specimen and the were aligned along the characteristic orientation.

        복합 생균제 첨가가 육계 생산성, 유해가스 발생량 및 맹장내 균총에 미치는 영향

        This study was carried out to investigate the effect of probiotics on the performance, nutrients digcstibility, noxious gas emission and microflora population on the cecum of broilers. A total of 120 broilers, consisted of 4 treatments X 3 replicates X 10 broilers per replicated, were fed the experimental diets containing 0, 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5% probiotics for 5 weeks. Broilers fed the diets containing 0.1 and 0.3% probiotic had higher (p<0.05) body weight gain and feed conversion than those of the others from the 3rd to 4th week. Broilers fed 0.3% probiotic had higher (p<0.05) body weight gain and feed conversion than those of the other levels from the 5th to 6th week. Broilers fed the diets containing 0.1% and 0.3% probiotic had higher (p<0.05) body weight gain and feed conversion than those of the others from the 2nd to 6th week. Dry matter digestibility was significantly (p<0.05) improved with 0.3% probiotic. Emission of ammonia and sulfate hydrogen gas was significantly (p<0.05) decreased at 6th week. However, there was no (p<0.05) difference at the levels of 0, 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5% at the 4th weeks. There was an increase in the lactobacillus sp, but there was decrease in the microflora population of coliforms in the cecum of broiler with 0.1% and 0.3% probiotics. These results indicated that the compound probioties of 0.1 ~ 0.3% were effective in the body weight gain, feed conversion, nutrients digestibility, noxious gas emission and microflora population on the cecum in broilers.

        쑥분말 급여가 이유자돈의 생산성과 분의 유해가스 발생량에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary wormwood powder (Artemisia montana Pampan; WP) supplementation on growing performance and fecal nexious gas cmission in weanling pigs. One hundred and twelve pigs were alloted into four treatments and offered for 4 weeks one of the diets supplemented with 0% (control), 0.5% (0.5), 1.0% (1.0) and 2.0% (2.0) WP. Each treatments has four replicate with 7 pigs per replicate. ADG, ADFI and F/G were improved by 1.0 and 2.0 WP supplementation during 0d ~ 14d feeding. Feed intake of 1.0 WP diet was higher (P<0.05) than any other diet during 15d ~ 28d feeding. But there were no differences among the other treatments in the weight gain and feed conversion. During the whole feeding period, daily weight gain and feed intake of pigs fed 1.0 and 2.0 treatments were higher than those of pigs fed control and 0.5 diet. DM digestibility was significantly (p<0.05) higher in weanling pigs fed 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 WP than that of the control. The protein digestibility was significantly improved in 1.0 wP treatment and the phosphorus digestibility was improved in 2.0 WP treatment. Excretion of nitrogen and phosphorus was significantly (P<0.05) decreased by 2.0 treatment than control. Emission of fecal ammonia after 48 hours storage in viny1 bag dramatically decreased by all the treatments except control. However, there was no statistical difference in fecal hydrogen sulfide emission among treatments. In conclusion, this study suggested that the dietary 1.0∼2.0 supplementation of WP can improve productivity of pigs decrease fecal NH_(3) and H_(2)S gas emission.
