비스판 변이주인 Bacillus polyfermenticus KD21의 주요 생균제 특성
정민용,정황영,하정욱,백현동 慶南大學校 附設 基礎科學硏究所 2002 硏究論文集 Vol.16 No.-
Bacillus polyfermenticus SCD which is commonly called as Bispan strain are being used for functional foods using the treatment of long-term intestinal disorders, since the live strains in the form of active endospores can successfully reach the target intestine in both humans and animals. B. polyfermenticus KD21 was obtained for higher sporulation through the NTG mutagenesis. The cells of B. polyfermenticus KD21 was treated for 24 h in artificial bile after incubation for 2 h in artificial gastric juice and final number of the strain was reached to around 10^8 CFU/㎖. In test of API ZYM kit, β-glucuronidase or β-glucosidase were not produced by B. polyfermenticus KD21. B. polyfermenticus KD21 was resistant to antibiotics such as nisin, tetracyclin, streptomycin, and rifamycin. B. polyfermenticus KD21 was shown to inhibit the growth of Listeria monocytogenes ATCC 19111 completely within 24 h of incubation, which indicates its bactericidal nature.

Neonatal lupus is a rare syndrome occurring In neonates with tranplacentally acquired maternal autoantibodies, In particular anti-SSA/Ro-SSB/Ra antibodies. Manifestations include congenital heart block, cutaneous lesions, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, pulmonary or neurological disease and hepatitis. The non-cardiac manifestations resolve by 6 months of age, congenital heart block is irreversible. We experienced a case of neonatal lupus with congenital complete heart block in a newborn of asyptomatic mother with anti-SSA/Ro-SSB/Ra antibodies.
Phase-model analysis of coupled neuronal oscillators with multiple connections.
Hwang, Dong-Uk,Lee, Sang-Gui,Han, Seung Kee,Kook, Hyungtae Published by the American Physical Society through 2006 Physical review. E, Statistical, nonlinear, and so Vol.74 No.3

Synchronization of the coupled neuronal oscillators with multiple connections of different coupling nature is analyzed using the phase-model reduction method. Each coupling connection contributes to the dynamic behavior of the system in a complex nonlinear fashion. In the phase-model scheme, the contribution of the individual connections can be separated in terms of the effective coupling functions associated with each connection and a linear superposition of them provides the total effective coupling of the coupled system. The case of multiple connections with various conduction time delays is also examined, which is shown to be capable of promoting synchronization over an ensemble of spatially distributed neuronal oscillators in an efficient way.

Eavesdropping on Message Signals Masked by Hyperchaos in Secure Communications
Dong-Uk Hwang,김칠민,박영재 한국물리학회 2003 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.42 No.1
We report the method of eavesdropping on message signals masked by hyperchaos without a receiver in secure communications. When an attractor of the transmitting signal is spread on the surface of an n-dimensional return map, the surface uctuates according to the message signals. By detecting this uctuation, we show that message signals can be eavesdropped on. The method is demonstrated in the hyperchaotic Rossler system.
Primary Paraganglioma Causing Spinal Root Compression: A Case Report
Kim Dong Uk,Hwang Hee-Jong,Kim Dong Won,Ryu Kyeong-Sik,Chang Jae-Chil 대한말초신경학회 2020 The Nerve Vol.6 No.1
Paragangliomas can generally develop at various body sites, but spinal paragangliomas are rare cases in which radiculopathy occurs in the lumbar lesion. We evaluated 2 cases of intradural extramedullary tumor associated with gait disturbance and radiating pain in both lower extremities. We performed surgical resection and biopsy of the masses. Although our first impression was schwannoma for one and ependymoma for the other, pathologic diagnosis was paraganglioma for each. Symptoms were relieved after surgery.
Protective Effects of Kamidojuk-san on the Nervous Systems
Hwang Chang Ha,Nam Gung Uk,Park Jong Oh,Lee Yong Koo,Choi Sun Mi,Kim Dong Hee The Physiological Society of Korean Medicine and T 2004 동의생리병리학회지 Vol.18 No.2
Kamidojuk-San (KDJS) is known to be effective for treating cardiovascular diseases such hypertension, and clinically applied for the treatment of cerebral palsy or stoke patients. Yet, the overall mechanisms underlying its activity at the cellular levels are not known. Using experimental animal system, we investigated whether KDJS has protective effects on cells in cardiovascular and nervous systems. KDJS was found to rescue death of cultured primary neurons induced by AMPA, NMDA and kainate as well as BSO and Fe/sup 2+/ treatments. Moreover, KDJS treatment promoted animal's recovery from coma induced by a lethal dose of KCN treatment, and improved survival in animals exposed to lethal dose of KCN. Neurological examinations further showed that KDJS reduced the time which is required for animals to respond in terms of forelimb and hindlimb movements. To examine its physiological effects on cardiovascular and nervous systems, we induced ischemic injury in hippocampal neurons and cerebral neurons by middle cerebral artery (MCA) occlusion. Histological examination revealed that KDJS significantly protected neurons from ischemic damage. Thus, the present data suggest that KDJS may play an important role in protecting cells of cardiovascular and nervous systems from external noxious stimulations.
A Seasonal Indoor Thermal Conditions of a Newly-launched Training Ship
Hwang, Kwang-Il,Shin, Dong-Keol,Lee, Jin-Uk,Lee, Sang-Il Korean Institute of Navigation and Port Research 2009 한국항해항만학회지 Vol.33 No.4
The living performances of crews and passengers in cabins have been less received attention, while Korea is a top leading country in ship building industry. To develop a high value added ships like 5-star cruisers, researches on the comfort and productivity in cabins should be carried out with urgent. The purpose of this study is to measure and analyze of the ship's indoor thermal conditions in spring, summer and winter, and also to compare the seasonal differences, of which conditions are supplied from and controlled by marine HVAC The temperature, humidity and air supply volume of 5 different needs of cabins on a training ship were measured through a year, which was launched at Dec. 2005 and totally 246 crews can go on board for education. The following results were obtained: (1)In the spring, the temperature in cabins was measured as $20{\sim}25^{\circ}C$ and humidity was below 30%. (2)In the summer, the temperatures was controlled at $21{\sim}27^{\circ}C$ in almost cabins and humidity was between $40{\sim}60%$ which is known as comfort conditions. (3)In the winter, temperature and humidity was maintained between $19{\sim}26^{\circ}C$, and humidity was between $10{\sim}50%$. (4)It is clear that the humidity conditions in cabins are not properly controlled at all through a year to satisfy the Comfort Standards provided by ASHRAE and/or ISO, In conclusion, humidification and dehumidification of cabins must be treated with importance for more comfort living and working environments for crews and passengers.
