      • 대학생집단의 뇌기능 특성화 경향에 대한 연구

        체육학과 학생 163명과 국가대표선수 211명을 포함한 체육 전공자들과 의과대학생 282명, 문과대학생 101명, 신학전공학생 96명 그리고 간호학과 전공학생 100명, 계 953명을 대상으로 남녀 대학생들의 대뇌반구의 특성화, 편재화 경향을 시나가와 ( 品川)질문지 법을 이용하여 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 체육과 남학생은 우뇌형 45.6%, 좌우뇌형 47.4%, 좌뇌형 7%로 나타났으며, 여학생의 경우 우뇌형 41.6%, 좌우뇌형 44.3%, 좌뇌형 14.2%로 나타났다. 2. 대표선수의 경우 우뇌형과 좌우뇌형에서 일반 체육학과 학생과 유사한 분포를 보였으나, 좌뇌형이 남자 12.9% 여자 12.6%로 남녀 고른 분포를 나타냈다. 3. 의과대학생의 경우 남학생은 우뇌형 63.5% 좌우뇌형 24.9% , 좌뇌형 11.6%인 반면, 여학생은 우뇌형 50%, 좌우뇌형 22.9%, 좌뇌형 27.1%로 나타났다.. 4. 문학은 전공하는 남녀학생과 신학을 전공하는 학생은 우뇌형, 좌우뇌형, 좌뇌형의 순으로 유사하게 나타났다. 5. 간호학전공 학생의 분포는 우뇌형42.0% 좌우뇌형 38.0% 좌뇌형 20%였다. Many Studies have demonstrated that the two hemispheres are functionally specialized in the majority of individuals, so that the left hemisphere regulates verbal-analytic cognitive abilities while the right hemisphere predominates in spatial-synthesis abilities. This research program have proceeded about the tendency of hemisphere specialization in sportsmen and variable subject classes in university. Sinagawa's questionnaire method was used as the instrument for this study . The results obtained were as follows: 1. In the physical education class(163subjects) 45.6%(male) and 41.6%(female) of the subjects were regarded as the left hemisphere dominant type, 47.4%(male) and 44.3%(female) of them were bilateral and 7%(male) and 14.2%(female) of them were regarded as left hemisphere dominant type. 2. In the representatives (mational players) group, very similar frequencies were shown except in the left hemisphere dominant type, whose percentile distributions appear as 12.9% in males and 12.6% in females. 3. Extremely higher frequency was shown in right hemisphere dominant type in the male students of medical science class : 63.5% of them were right, 24.9% were bilateral and 11.6% were left hemisphere dominant type. 4. The frequencies of the literature class also were shown very similar patterns with those of other female classes.

      • 점토굴착 사면의 거동에 관한 원심모형실험 및 수치해석

        This paper is the results of experimental and numerical works on analyzing the geotechnical engineering behavior and characteristics of excavated clay slope formed by the method of excavated replacement which is one of treatments in soft soil ground. For the centrifuge model tests, models of excavated clay slope were prepared by remolding the marine clayey soil sampled from the field. Tests were performed with changing the slope to investigate the behavior of them. On the other hand, numerical analyses were carried out to analyze the change of safety factor against instability of slope with time. Changes of pore water pressure, shear strength and displacement were also investigated. As results of centrifuge model tests with slopes of 1:1.5 and 1:3 using the confining body of simulating the effect of excavation, for the case of 1:1.5, slope failure occurred right after remove the confining body whereas relatively small displacements within the range of 3.2mm, implying to maintain the stability of slope, were observed for the case of 1:3 slope. From the results of numerical analyses using the software of PLAXIS to investigate the stability of slope after excavation, the minimum safety factor against slope failure was 1.28 for the case of 1:3 slope. The further researches in the future are required with considerations of build up of static pore water pressures during acceleration of centrifuge, depth of excavation influencing the behavior of the slope and permeability of the slope since excavation of the slope was not simulated well resulted from the limitations of apparatus at the stage of excavation during the centrifuge tests.

      • 교대말뚝기초의 측방유동에 관한 원심모형실험

        This paper is an experimental result of investigating lateral soil movements at piled bridge abutments by using the centrifuge model facility. Three different centrifuge model experiments, changing the methods of ground improvement at bridge abutment on the soft clayey soil (no improvement, preconsolidation and plastic board drain (PBD), sand compaction pile (SCP) + PDB), were carried out to figure out which method is the most appropriate for resisting against the lateral soil movements. In the centrifuge modelling, construction process in field was reconstructed as close as possible. Displacements of abutment model, ground movement, vertical earth pressure, cone resistance after soil improvement and distribution of water content were monitored during and after centrifuge model tests. As results of centrifuge model experiments, preconsolidation method with PBD was found to be the most effective against the lateral soil movement by analyzing results about displacements of abutment model, ground movement and cone resistance. Increase of shear strength by preconsolidation method resulted in increasing the resistance against lateral soil movement effectively although SCP could mobilize the resistance against lateral soil movement. It was also found that installment with PBD beneath the backfill of bridge abutment induced effective drainage of excess pore water pressure during the consolidation by embanking at the back of the abutment and resulted in increasing the shear strength of clay soil foundation and eventually increasing the resistance of lateral soil movement against piles of bridge abutment.

      • 식물플라크톤의 세포외배출유기물을 고려한 소양호의 1차생산과 유기물 부하

        The autochthonous and allochthonous organic carbon loading were measured in Lake Soyang, to estimate the amount of carbon loading into the lake and the contribution of their sources to the lake's carbon loading. Autochthonous carbon loading was estimated from phytoplankton primary production with the extracellular organic carbon(EOC). Allochthonous loding was determined by measuring dissolved organic carbon(DOC) and particulate organic carbon(POC) concentration in the main inflowing Soyang River. Both autochthonous and allochthonous organic carbon loading were high during the summer, from July to September, and accounted for 43.2% and 71.7% of the annual loading, respectively. Primary productivity was elevated up to 1,000 mgCm^(-2)d^(-1)during summer and lowest in winter. EOC production from phytoplankton was also large in summer, resulting in a high DOC concentration in the lake water. Primary production of phytoplankton and allochthonous organic matter loading from the watershed contributed to 53.6% and 46.4% of total loading, respectively. The EOC production accounted for 4.4~21.2% of POC primary production, implying that EOC production of phytolankton must be considered in estimation of primary production.

      • 양식 넙치(Paralichthys olivaceus)에서 발생한 랩도바이러스성 질병의 병리조직학적 특징

        2000년 4월경부터 (수온7-13℃) 우리나라 동해안과 남해안 육상 수조에서 사육되던 넙치에서 체색흑화, 복수저류, 비장종대의 육안적 소견을 보이는 질병이 발생하여 대량폐사를 불러왔다. 병리조직학적 소견으로, 비장과 신장의 조혈조직에서 괴사병변이 주로 나타났다. 비장과 신장의 간질조직에서 괴사소가 관찰되었으며, 임파구, 괴사세포의 침윤이 나타났다. 비장 조직의 전자현미경적 관찰에서 변성혈구 내 세포질에서 탄환형의 바이러스 입자가 관찰되었는데 직경과 길이가 각각 약 50nm, 170nm였다. 이상의 결과로 본 질병은 rhabdovirus에 의한 질병으로 판단되었다. On April of 2000 and February of 2001, a disease characterized by darkening, ascites and enlargement of the spleen occurred in flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus, farmed near northern and eastern coasts of Korea. Various degree of necrosis including liquefactive-type was observed mainly in hemopoietic tissue of spleen and kindney. Certain tissue such as branchial soft tissue including epithelium showed a similar necrotic findings. But some tissues such as intentine had several necrotic clusters of wandering cells, being possibly leukocytes. Necrotic evidences of blood cells were evident in various tissues including hemopoietic tissues. Necrobiotic bodies were frequently encountered in blood smear preparations. Bullet type-virious were detected in the spleenic cells. Each virion was about 500 nm in diameter and 170nm in length. From these results, this disease was thought to be a rhabdoviral disease.

        螢光像 測定法으로 分析한 HUMACTBP2 遺傳座位에 대한 韓國人의 遺傳的 多樣性과 法醫學的 有用性

        The HUMACTBP2 locus was investigated to collect population genetic data in the Korean population and to evaluate the applicability for the forensic field. An Automatic fluorescent-based sequencer (377 automatic DNA sequencer, ABI) was used to detect amplified fragments of the HUMACTBP2 locus electrophoresed on 4% denaturing polyacrylamide sequencing gels. ACTBP2 allelic ladder consisting of different sizes of 18 alleles was constructed and employed as an internal size standard in combination with a GS-350 size standard for precision of allele-band sizing. By utilizing different fluorescent dyes, both the allelic ladders and samples were able to be analyzed in the same lane by 99% precision of allele-band sizing. Among the Korean population (n=224), 26 alleles in the range of 239-313 bp are determined. Allele No. 6 is found 45 times (0.100) which is mostly frequent, and the rest of allele is distributed with their relative frequency of 0.112-0.100. The comparison between observed and expected numbers of homozygous and heterozygous individuals confirms that ACTBP2 locus is in the state of Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium among the Korean population. The heterozygosity is 0.9389±0.0034(93.89%), and the power of discrimination)PD) and power of exclusion(PEX) are calculated to be 0.991(99.1%) and 0.890(89.0%), respectively, showing the high informativeness for individual identification. Thus, these results mean that the HUMACTBP2 locus can effectively be used for the forensic application.

      • 계열별 고등학생집단의 뇌기능특성화 경향에 대한 연구

        본 연구에서는 계열에 따른 고등학생들의 대뇌반구기능의 특성화 또는 편재화의 경향을 알아보고, 전공분야에 대한 적응력과의 상관관계를 검토하고자 했다. 일반고등학교 인문계열 학생 359명, 자연계열 학생 371명, 음악과 미술전공 학생을 포함한 예능계열 196명, 체육특기자를 포함한 체육계열 학생 151명 등 1,077명을 대상으로 각 계열별, 남녀별, 성적별 고등학생 집단들의 대뇌반구의 특성화, 편재화 경향을 시나가와(품川)질문지법을 이용하여 분석하였으며, 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 인문계열 고등학생의 뇌기능의 편재화 경향은 우뇌형 54.3%, 양쪽뇌형 32.6% 및 좌뇌형 13.1%였다. 남녀별로는 남학생은 우뇌형 62.9% 양쪽뇌형 27.9% 및 좌뇌형 9.5%로 나타났으며, 여학생은 각각 43.7%, 38.6% 및 17.7%로서 여학생이 남학생에 비하여 죄뇌화 경향을 보였다. 2. 자연계열 고등학생의 경우는 우뇌형 56.9%, 양쪽뇌형 29.9% 및 좌뇌형 13.2%로서 인문계열 고등학생과 비슷한 분포를 보였다 이를 남녀별로 구별하여 보면 남학생은 62.2%, 27.1% 및 10.2%, 여학생은 51.5%, 32.5%및 16.0%의 분포를 보여, 역시 여학생의 좌뇌화 경향이 뚜렷했다. 3. 예능계열 고등학생의 경우는 우뇌형 56.1%, 양쪽뇌형 35.2% 및 좌뇌형 8.7%의 분포를 보였으며, 이를 전공별로 세분해서 살펴보면 음악전공학생의 경우 53.7%, 35.5% 및 10.7%로서 전체 평균과 거의 비슷한 분포를 보였으나, 미술전공학생의 경우 60.0%, 34.7% 및 5.3%로서 , 특히 좌뇌형의 경우 음악전공에 비해 절반수준에도 못 미치는 경향을 보였다. 4. 체능계열 고등학생 집단의 경우 우뇌형 50.3%, 양쪽뇌형 37.7% 및 좌뇌형 11.9% 분포를 보였다. 5. 성적별로 보면 일반고등학교 학생 가운데 성적 우수 집단은 뚜렷하게 좌뇌형 경향(25.6% 및 25.0%)을 보였다. 6. 예능계열의 우수집단은 양쪽뇌형의 분포비율(50.0% 및 44.4%)이 특히 높았다. 7. 체육계열의 우수집단은 좌뇌형 분포(21.6%)가 높았다. According to the advanced study on differential theory of brain function, the left hemispheric functions are concerned more on the verbal, logical, sequential and arithmetic abilities, whereas the right hemisphere has characteristics of non-lingual, general, creative and aesthetic abilities. The authors compared the tendency of hemispheric specialization in high school students with different educational condition and facilities. Sinakawa's questionnaire method was the instrument for this study. The results obtained were as follows: Among 1,077 of whole subjects, right hemispheric dominant type was 55.0% (59.1% in male, 51.0% in female), bilateral type was 32.9% (10.6% in male, 35.1% in female) and left hemispheric dominant type was 12.2% (10.4% in male, 13.9% in female). 1. Of the 359 subjects in the field of humanity science, right hemispheric dominant type was 54.3% (62.9% in male, 43.7% in female), bilateral type was 32.6% (27.9% in male, 38.6% in female) and left hemispheric dominant type was 13.1% (9.5% in male, 17.7% in female). 2. Of the 371 subjects in the field of natural science, right hemispheric dominant type was 56.9% (62.2% in male, 51.5% in female), bilateral type was 29.9% (27.1% in male, 32.5% in female) and left hemispheric dominant type was 13.2% (10.2% in male, 16.0% in female). 3. Of the 196 art school students, 56.1% was regraded as right hemispheric dominant type, students majoring music was 53.7%, 35.5% and 10.7%, respectively, whereas the frequency for students majoring find art was 60.0%, 34.7% and 5.3%. 4. In students majoring physical education, 50.3% were shown in right hemispheric dominant type, 37.7% were bilateral type and 11.9% were left hemispheric dominant type. 5. Laterality patterns of students who adapt more successfully to their specific studying fields show following characteristics; Successful students of general high school show pronounced left shift in their laterality pattern, whereas successful students of art school exhibit more bilateral type. And successful students of physical education school show left shift in their laterality patterns.

      • 바나듐 산화막을 활용한 습도센서의 제조에 관한 연구

        Vanadium oxides have been widely used in a variety of technological applications such electrochromic devices as infrared detectors and are expected as a material suitable for gas sensing applications. Thin films of Vanadium oxide (VOx) have been deposited by r.f magnetron sputtering under different oxygen partial pressure ratios(0%, 10%) and substrate temperatures(27℃, 400℃). Humidity-sensitive properties of resistive sensors having interdigitated electrode structure are characterized. Our sensors show good response to humidity over 20%RH to 80%RH Vanadium oxide films deposited with 0%O2 partial pressure at 400℃ exhibit greater sensitivity to humidity change than others.

      • 과량의 방사선에 머리부분이 노출된 흰쥐 망막의 속핵층과 신경절세포의 미세구조변화

        이 실험은 머리부분이 많은 양이 방사선에 노출되었을 때, 망막 속핵층과 신경세포의 미세구조적 반응을 관찰하기 위하여 시행하였다. 실험동물로는 체중200-250g의 흰쥐를 사용하였으며, 마취상태에서 머리부분에만 방사선을 조사였다. 방사선조사는 선형가속기(Mitsubishi Linear Accelerator, ML-4MV)를 이용하였으며 1분당 200rad씩 연속 조사하여 3,000rad 또는 6,000rad를 조사한 후 6시간, 2일, 6일에 희생시켰다. 각 동물은 1% glutaradehyde- 1% paraformaldehyde액으로 관류고정한 다음, 안구를 적출하여 톱니둘레를 따라 절단한 후 망막의 일정부위에서 조직을 떼어내었다. 떼어낸 조직은 2.5% glutaradehyde- 1.5% paraformaldehyde 액에 일차고정한 다음 1% osmium tetroxide액에 이차 고정하였다. 고정된 조직은 수세와 탈수과정을 거쳐 araldite혼합액에 포매한 다음 얇은 절편을 작성하여 uranyl acetate와 lead citrate로 염색한 후 전자현미경으로 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 무축삭신경원은 세포질의 전자밀도가 높은 어두운 세포(type 3)와 전자밀도가 낮은 밝은 세포로 구분되었으며, 밝은 세포는 핵의 윤곽이 매끄럽고 둥근 세포(type 1)와 핵막의 함입현상이 뚜렷한 세포(type 2)로 구분되었다. 2. 3,000rad의 X-선을 조사한 후 6시간군의 경우, 속핵층을 구성하는 세포들과 신경절세포에서는 속핵층을 구성하는 세포들과 신경절세포에서는 사립체와 세포막이 파괴되는 모습이 관찰되었는데 2일군의 경우 그 경향이 가장 심했다. 3. 3,000rad의 X-선을 조사한 후 6일군의 경우, 부챗살아교세포의 영역이 넓어져서 전체적인 모습이 2일군의 것에 비하여 많이 회복되어 보였다. 4. 6,000rad의 X-선을 조사한 후 6일군의 경우, 속핵층을 구성하는 세포들이 기저복합체 근처에서 관찰되었다. 5. 6,000rad의 X-선을 조사한 후 6시간부터, 부챗살아교세포는 미세사가 많고 전자밀도가 높은 변성된 세포들이 자주 관찰되었다. 이상의 결과를 고찰해 보면 머리부분이 3,000rad의 X-선에 노출되면 망막의 속핵층을 구성하는 세포들과 신경절세포는 처음에는 새포질소기관들과 세포막이 손상을 받으나, 6일 후에는 부챗살아교세포의 영역이 넓어져서 전체적인 구조가 많이 회복된다. 그러나 6,000rad정도의 방사선에 노출되면 부챗살아교세포도 변성되어 속핵층과 신경절세포층의 구조가 변성된다고 생각된다. This experiment was performed to study the morphological responses of the cell of the inner nuclear layer and the ganglion cell of the rat retina following X-ray irradiation. Male rats were divided into normal and experimental groups. The heads of the rats, under sodium thiopental anesthesia, were exposed to 3,000rads or 6,000rads of radiation in a single dose, respectively. The source was a Mitsubishi linear accelerator ML-4MV. The target to skin distance was 80cm, and the dose rate was 200 rads/min. The experimental groups were sacrificed on 6hour, 2 and 6 days after X-ray irradiations. Under anesthesia, 1% glutaraldehyde-1% paraformaldehye solution was perfused through the heart. Pieces of the tissue taken from the posterior region of the retina were fixed in 2.5% glutaraldehyde-1.5% paraformaldehyde, and in 1% osmium tetroxide, and embedded in araldite mixture. Ultrathin sections were stained with uranyl acetate and lead citrate solutions and were observed with JEM 100CX-II electron microscope. The results were as follow: 1. Three type of amacrine cells were found, according to their electron densities and nuclear shape, i,e,dark amacrine cell with invaginated nucleus(type 3), light amacrine cell with round nucleus(type 1) and light amacrine cell wit invaginated nucleus(type 2). 2. Six hours after exposure to 3,000 rads of X-ray, morphological changes were observed in cytoplasm of the cells of the inner nuclear layer and the ganglion cell: i.e., edematous changes, fragmentation of mitochondria, breakdown of the plasma membrane, etc. 3. Six days after exposure to 3,000rads of X-ray, many of the malformations were seen to be repaired, except the territory of activated Muller cell. 4. Six days after exposure to 6.000 rads of X-ray, cells of the inner nuclear layer were observed near the Bruch's membrane. 5. Six days after exposure to 6.000 rads of X-ray, darkly degenerated Muller cells were frequently observed. From the above results it wluded that 3,000rads of head-irradiation induces damages to the cell organelles in the cells of the inner nuclear layer and the ganglion cell during the first few days, but many of the malformations can be repaired within six days. And 6,000rads of head irradiation leads to renaturation of the inner nuclear layer and the ganglion cell layer of the retina, since the most of the Muller cells are degenerated within a few days following irradiation.
