        증상 안정기의 노년기 우울증에서 심혈관 위험과 인지기능 장애 간의 관련성 : 예비연구

        Objective:The purpose of this study was to test the hypothesis that cardiovascular risk is associated with cognitive impairments in clinically stable late-life depression. Methods:A total of 59 clinically stable late-life depression patients over age 60 were enrolled in a cross-sectional study. Evalu-ation tools used in this study include Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression, Geriatric Depression Scale, State-Trait Anxiety Inven-tory, the Framingham general cardiovascular disease risk profile and the cognitive function battery designed for this study. Corre-lation analysis, analysis of variance and analysis of covariance were performed. Results:Patients with higher cardiovascular risk performed significantly poorer in the domains of executive function and short-term or long-term memory. In models adjusted for age, sex, education, 10% higher cardiovascular risk was associated with poorer executive function. Conclusion:Our findings suggested that cardiovascular risk could be a significant factor associated with poor executive func-tion in clinically stable late-life depression and the management which is necessary as a component of treatment planning. This pi-lot study provided good prospects for future studies to document this relationship on larger samples.

        스크린골프장의 물리적환경이 여가몰입 및 고객만족에 미치는 영향

        This study is to identify the relationship among physical environment, leisure flow and consumer satisfaction in screen golf. As for the research method, an offline survey and an online survey were conducted, and the data of 499 people were finally used for the analysis. SPSS 21.0 program was used. Frequency analysis, internal consistency, exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used. The results of this study are as follows: First, it was found that the physical environment of screen golf had a partial influence on leisure flow. Second, it was found that leisure flow affects customer satisfaction. Third, it was found that the physical environment of screen golf partially affects customer satisfaction. The results of the research are summarized as follows. The physical environment of screen golf affects leisure immersion and customer satisfaction. Therefore, a strategy for the physical environment of screen golf is necessary.

        Glatiramer acetate 투여에 의한 자가면역성 뇌척수염 마우스의 중추신경계에서의 NFκB 활성 억제

        Glatiramer acetate (GA; Copaxone) has been shown to be effective in preventing and suppressing experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), the animal model of multiple sclerosis (MS). It has been recently shown that GA-reactive T cells migrate through the blood-brain barrier, accumulate in the central nervous system (CNS), secrete antiinflammatory cytokines and suppress production of proinflammatory cytokines of EAE and MS. Development of EAE requires coordinated expression of a number of genes involved in the activation and effector functions of inflammatory cells. Activation of inflammatory cells is regulated at the transcriptional level by several families of transcription factors. One of these is the nuclear factor kappa B ($NF{\kappa}B$) family which is present in a variety of cell types and involved in the activation of immune-relative genes during inflammatory process. Since it is highly activated at site of inflammation, $NF{\kappa}B$ activation is also implicated in the pathogenesis of EAE. In this study, we examined whether the inhibition of $NF{\kappa}B$ activation induced by GA can have suppressive therapeutic effects in EAE mice. We observed the expression of $NF{\kappa}B$ and phospho-$I{\kappa}B$ proteins increased in GA-treated EAE mice compared to EAE control groups. The immunoreactivity in inflammatory cells and glial cells of $NF{\kappa}B$ and phospho-$I{\kappa}B$ significantly decreased at the GA-treated EAE mice. These results suggest that treatment of GA in EAE inhibits the activation of $NF{\kappa}B$ and phophorylation of $I{\kappa}B$ in the CNS. Subsequently, the inhibition of $NF{\kappa}B$ activation and $I{\kappa}B$ phosphorylation leads to the anti-inflammatory effects thereby to reduce the progression and severity of EAE.

        C57BL/6 마우스에서 Retroviral 벡터를 이용한 Foxp3 유전자의 도입에 의한 Foxp3 단백의 발현 양상

        The maintenance of peripheral immune tolerance and prevention of chronic inflammation and autoimmune disease require $CD4^{+}CD25^{+}$ T cells (regulatory T cells). The transcription factor Foxp3 is essential for the development of functional, regulatory T cells, which plays a prominent role in self-tolerance. Retroviral vectors can confer high level of gene transfer and transgene expression in a variety of cell types. Here we observed that following retroviral vector-mediated gene transfer of Foxp3, transductional Foxp3 expression was increased in the liver, lung, brain, heart, muscle, spinal cord, kidney and spleen. One day after vector administration, high levels of transgene and gene expression were observed in liver and lung. At 2 days after injection, transductional Foxp3 expression level was increased in brain, heart, muscle and spinal cord, but kidney and spleen exhibited a consistent low level. This finding was inconsistent with the increase in both $CD4^{+}CD25^{+}$ T cell and $CD4^{+}Foxp3^{+}$ T cell frequencies observed in peripheral immune cells by fluorescence-activated cell-sorting (FACS) analysis. Retroviral vector-mediated gene transfer of Foxp3 did not lead to increased numbers of $CD4^{+}CD25^{+}$ T cell and $CD4^{+}Foxp3^{+}$ T cell. These results demonstrate the level and duration of transductional Foxp3 gene expression in various tissues. A better understanding of Foxp3 regulation can be useful in dissecting the cause of regulatory T cells dysfunction in several autoimmune diseases and raise the possibility of enhancing suppressive functions of regulatory T cells for therapeutic purposes.

        자가면역성 뇌척수염을 유도한 C57BL/6 마우스 큰포식세포에서의 Galectin-3의 과발현

        Experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) is an inflammatory disease in the murine central nervous system (CNS) and has long been used as an animal model for human multiple sclerosis. Development of EAE requires coordinated expression of a number of genes that are involved in the activation and effector functions of inflammatory cells. Galectin-3 (Gal-3) is a member of the betagalactoside- binding lectin family and plays an important role in inflammatory responses through its functions on cell activation, cell migration or inhibition of apoptosis. We investigated the functional role of Gal-3 in EAE mice following immunization with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein $(MOG)_{35-55}$ peptide. During the peak stage of EAE, the localization of Gal-3 in inflammatory cells markedly increased in subarachnoid membranes and perivascular regions of CNS. In contrast, Gal-3 was weakly detected in cerebrum and spinal of the recovery stage of EAE. Consistent with this finding, western blot analysis revealed that Gal-3 expression was significantly increased at the peak stage while it was slightly decreased at the recovery stage in the CNS. In addition, the population of $CD11b^{+}$ macrophage expressing Gal- 3 in spleen of EAE mice was markedly increased compared with control mice. In fact, most of activated macrophages isolated from spleen of EAE mice expressed Gal-3. Taken together, our results demonstrate that the over-expression of Gal-3 in activated macrophages may play a key role in promoting inflammatory cells in the CNS during EAE.

        방사선을 조사한 마우스의 소장 음와세포에서 DNA 수복을 위한 PCNA와 p21의 발현 양상

        The irradiation of radioactive ${\gamma}-ray$ induces apoptosis of radiosensitive organs for homeostasis. In this study, we investigated the repair mechanisms for homeostasis in the small intestine after cell damage by $^{60}Co\;{\gamma}-ray$ irradiation. The apoptosis was most frequently observed in the crypt cells of the small intestine after four and six hours by radioactive ${\gamma}-ray$ irradiation, and the frequency of apoptosis was proportional to the amount of irradiation. Also, the number of apoptotic cells was coincident with expression pattern of p53. Interestingly, PCNA (proliferating cell nuclear antigen) which is engaged in DNA replication and repair was expressed in apoptotic cells of small intestinal crypts. Also, it was observed that cell-cycle regulator p21 which is known to induce cell-cycle arrest is co-expressed in the same apoptotic cells of irradiated small intestinal crypt cells. These findings suggest that the co-expression of PCNA and p21 proteins, which may lead to resistance to DNA damage through cell-cycle arrest is closely associated with repair of damaged gastrointestinal cells after ${\gamma}-ray$ irradiation.

        발달 중인 생쥐 뇌에서의 Osteopontin 발현

        This study was undertaken to examine the developmental expression of osteopontin(OPN) in the mouse brain. In Western blotting analysis, the expression of OPN was noted initially at embryonic stage and increased gradually after birth and decreased at postnatal day 60(P60). In immunohistochemistry, OPN expression was found in the interstitial nucleus Cajal and the substantia nigra reticularis in anterior part of the brain and in the inferior olivary complex, the parabrachial nucleus, the facial nucleus, the gigantocellular reticular nucleus, the trigeminal nucleus and the anterior interposed nucleus in posterior part of the brain at P31 and P60. In addition, OPN expression in widespread neurons appeared during the period of neuronal differentiation, increased just after birth and decreased with maturation. These results suggest that OPN contributes to developmental processes, including the differentiation and maturation of specific neuronal populations.

        원주역사박물관 소장 근 · 현대 목칠공예품의 재질분석 및 보존처리

        This study is consisted of analyzing materials and conservation treatment relating modern wooden lacquered craftworks. The subjects are small wooden lacquered tables, two are ‘Seokryumuntongyeongban’ and ‘Seokryumungujokban’ made by Lee Hyung Man (intangible culural asset, lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl) and one is ‘Najeonchilghi-nanjukmunsang’ estimated to be crafted in the late Joseon Dynasty. As a result of wood species identification, the leg of ‘Seokryumungujokban’ is Diospyros spp. and the leg of ‘Najeonchilghi-nanjukmunsang’ is Abies spp. And the lacquered surfaces are made up various overlapped layers from the foundation layer to the coating layer. Using the results of research, applied conservation treatment to the craftworks. Cleaning, joining and restoration was proceeded causiously in the order using several natural materials not injuring the original parts. Specially many holes in upperside of ‘Najeonchilghi-nanjukmunsang’ were found through X-ray radiography. The upperside was too weak to stand much stress so focusing on the restoration only the surface. This is expected to be basic data, applied to make understand the materials and the conservation treatment of modern wooden lacquered craftworks.

        청주 송상현 충렬사 요여는 조선 중기 문신 송상현(1551∼1592)의 위패를 이운한 목제 가마이다. 목재에 금속 장석이 결구되어 있고 지붕 안쪽에는 묵서가 확인되었으며, 이외에도 적색 도료와 지류, 섬유가 관찰되어 과학적 조사·분석을 실시하였다. 요여는 피나무속과 가래나무속을 사용하여 제작한 것으로 확인되며 금속 장석 결구부에서 철(Fe)과 주석(Sn)이 검출되어 철심에 주석도금을 한 것으로 판단된다. 적색 도료는 진사(HgS)로 확인되었으며, 층위 분석 결과 목재 위로 1∼3회 칠한 것으로 관찰되었다. 지붕내부의 섬유는 모두 면이었으며 지류는 닥섬유로 관찰되었다. 좌∼우측 문에서 관찰된 지류의 경우 닥섬유 외에 침엽수의 가도관이 함께 관찰된 것으로 보아 후대에 전해지면서 부분적으로 수리·복원이 진행된 것으로 판단된다.

        COVID-19 확산이 승마이용에 미친 영향과 승마산업의 발전방향

        The purpose of this study is to provide materials necessary for expanding and activating the equestrian base by comparatively analyzing data related to the use of horseback riding in the era of COVID-19. To this end, the following conclusions were drawn focusing on horse industry statistics, support projects and funds. First, due to the spread of COVID-19, the number of horseback riders decreased, but most of them were just someone who enjoys going out on the occasional riding rather than regular riders. Second, as a result of low execution rate of the government plans for students to experience horseback riding, the regular riders decrease about 25% in 2020. Third, the sales of equestrian facilities decreased by 28.5%, the number of employees at equestrian facilities decreased by about 12.5%, and the total number of horses decreased by about 6.4%. Fourth, for people who rides horses both in 2019 and 2020, the number of ridings decrease about once a year, but the impact from COVID-19 was only 0.4 times. As for the considerations to ride, tourism purpose was 44.6% in 2020, (in comparison 66.2% in 2019), and the proportion of environmental factors (location, facilities) increased by about 3 to 14%. In addition, the proportion of regular horseback riders in 2020 increased by 3.3%.
