      • 약용식물 17종 메탄올 추출물의 유기질문화재 생물학적 열화원에 대한 항진균 및 살충활성 조사

        To investigate bioactive materials for development of natural conservative agent on organic cultural heritage, methanol extracts from 17 medicinal plants were screened for antifungal and insecticidal activity against 6 wood rot fungi and adult of Lasioderma serricorne. Antifungal activity of extracts was tested by using paper disc soaking method against wood-rot fungi. Among these extracts, the most significant antimicrobial activity was observed from the extract of Coptis japonica at 5 mg/disc against all wood rot fungi tested. The insecticidal activity of extracts was examined by topical application against L. serricorne adults. The extracts from Asarum sieboldii gave 83.3 % mortality at $25{\mu}g/adult$ for 24hr. From these result, the methanol extract from C. japonica and A. sieboldii described could be useful for conservation of organic cultural heritage against biological deterioration by wood rot fungi and L. serricorne.

        국내산 수목 추출물의 항진균 및 살충활성

        유기질 문화재 보존 천연 살생물제 개발을 위한 후보물질 조사를 위해 국내 자생하는 11종 수목을 대상으로 각 수목 메탄올 추출물의 9종 목재오염균과 궐련벌레 성충에 대한 항진균 및 살충활성을 조사하였다. 항진균 활성은 목재부후균과 표면오염균에 대해 각각 paper disc soaking 방법과 feeder strip 방법으로 측정되었다. 그 결과, 수목 중 황벽(Phellodendron amurense) 메탄올 추출물은 5 mg/disc에서 Coniophora puteana, Lentinus lepideus, Tyromyces palustris 그리고 Aspergillus niger에 대해 우수한 항균활성을 나타냈다. 또한, 수목 메탄올 추출물의 살충활성은 topical application 방법에 의해 측정되었으며 특히 주목(Taxus cuspidata)과 전나무(Abies holophylla) 메탄올 추출물을 궐련벌레 성충에 25 ${\mu}g$/adult의 농도로 24시간 처리했을 때 56.7%의 치사율을 보였다. 위의 결과로부터 주목과 전나무 그리고 황벽 메탄올 추출물은 각각 충과 목재오염균에 의해 야기되는 생물학적 열화에 대한 유기질 문화재 보존을 위해 유용하게 사용가능할 것으로 사료된다.         영어 어중 폐쇄음의 선행 모음 길이 분석을 통한 영어 재음절화 연구

        This study argues that resyllabification in English only takes place when the vowel preceding the intervocalic consonant is a stressed lax vowel by conducting a production experiment with 6 English native speakers. The experiment analyzed duration of the vowels before voiced and voiceless stops in English. The data consisted of monosyllabic and bisyllabic nonce words in English. The results revealed that the vowels were longer before voiced stops than before voiceless stops in monosyllabic words(CVC). As for bisyllabic words(CVCVC), however, the lax vowels [ɑ] and [ɪ] were significantly longer before voiced consonants only when they got stressed. In contrast, the diphthong [ɑɪ] and the tense vowel [i] were not longer before voiced consonants regardless of their stresshood. These results suggest that resyllabification in CVCVC occurs only when the first syllable contains a stressed lax vowel in English. These results will be discussed in light of the syllable structure in English against a superheavy syllable.

        세계 낙농산업 동향-3. World Dairy Situation 2015 액상우유 및 유제품 생산을 중심으로-

        The international dairy federation`s main objectives are to enhance the international dairy market and industry by producing an annual world dairy situation report. The IDF National committee and other international contributors provide a questionnaire to be completed for the country reports on top of other various official studies. Through this report, one can understand the full overview of the global dairy market and specified dairy studies across the world. Due to the economic boom of many developing nations, in 2014 the dairy market saw great increase in the total milk production. The estimated volume is at 802 million tons which is a 3.3% increase from the previous year. The world dairy trade states that due to the abundance of milk, other bi-products such as dairy powder and butter production increased as well. Generally, there is an increasing trend for the demand and supply of milk and all dairy products in the international dairy market.

        This study investigates stop epenthesis occurring in nasal-fricative sequences in English to shed light on dialectal differences between American English and British English, differences in duration between the underlying /t/ and the epenthetic [t], and correlation between duration of /t/ and perception of epenthetic stop. We discuss whether fricative voicing, tautosyllabicity of the /ns/ cluster, and the position of stress have an affect on stop epenthesis. This study conducted production and perception experiments. In a production experiment, five American speakers and two British English speakers produced real English words with /nts, ns, ndz, nz/ clusters. The results showed that stop epenthesis occurred more frequently in American English than in British English. The closure duration of the underlying /t/ was significantly longer than that of the epenthetic [t]. The stop [t] was more frequently epenthesized in the /ns/ cluster than in the /nz/ cluster. It was also more frequently inserted when /n/ and /s/ belong to the same syllable than when they are heterosyllabic. Stress had little affect on the duration of the epenthetic [t]. Subjects identified the epenthetic stop in a perception experiment where the closure duration of the epenthetic stops was manipulated with seven steps ranging from zero to 30ms. The results revealed that tautosyllabicity of the /ns/ cluster was the primary cue in perceiving the epenthetic [t] but voicing of fricatives and the position of stress did not have an affect on the perception of the epenthetic [t].         다제내성 Acinetobacter baumannii 의 항생제 내성 유전자분석

        Acinetobacter baumannii는 병원환경에 광범위하게 분포하고 있으며, 원내감염의 중요한 원인균으로 병원에서 집단감염 일으키고, 중증의 기저질환을 가진 환자에게 감염되면 감염환자의 사망률이 다른 환자에 비해 월등히 높은 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구는 충청남도 천안시에 소재한 대학병원 두 곳의 진단검사의학과에 의뢰된 가검물에서 분리한 다제 내성 A. baumannii 85주의 항생제내성률과 내성유전자 양상에 대해 조사하였다. Carbapenemase와 Class B .-lactamase의 생성균주를 선별하기 위하여 modifiedHodge test (MHT)와 IMP-EDTA double-disk synergy test를 실시하였다. 항생제 내성을 유발하는 carbapenemases, 16S rRNAmethylases, aminoglycoside-modifying enzymes (AMEs)을 확인하기 위하여 PCR을 시행 하였으며, A. baumannii가 분리된 두대학병원간 분리균주의 유전학적인 근연도를 확인하기 위해 REP-PCR을 시행하였다. 실험결과 3균주를 제외한 82균주(96.5%)에서 bla<sub>OXA-23-like</sub>과 bla<sub>OXA-51-like</sub>이 검출되었다. bla<sub>OXA-23-like</sub>유전자가 검출된 균주에서는 bla<sub>OXA-23-like</sub> 유전자 상부에 ISAba1유전자가 확인되어 carbapenemase에 대한 내성을 유도하는 것으로 확인 되었다. Aminoglycoside에 대한 내성을 유발하는 16SrRNA methylase 유전자인 armA는 A병원에서 분리한 38균주 중34균주(89.5%)에서, B병원에서 분리한 47균주 중 40균주(85.1%)에서 확인되었고, aminoglycoside modifying emzyme 유전자는 A병원 유래 38 균주 중 33 균주(70.2%)에서, B병원 유래 47균주 중44 균주(93.6%)에서 aac(3)-IIa/ant(2 ````)-Ia/aac(6 ``)-Ib가 확인됨에 따라 천안지역에서 분리되는 대부분의 다제 내성 A. baumannii균주는 acethyltransferase와 adenyltransferase를 동시에 발현하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 실험 결과는 충청남도 천안시에서 분리된 MDR A. baumannii를 대상으로 한 보고서로서, 항생제 내성유형과 내성 유전자의 분포를 확인하여 MDR A. baumannii 균주에의한 감염증의 치료 지침과 내성세균 확산 방지를 위해 필요한 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. Acinetobacter baumannii (A. baumannii) is prevalent in hospital environments and is an important opportunistic pathogen of nosocomial infection. It is known that this pathogen cause herd infection in hospitals, and the mortality rate is remarkably higher for patients infected with this pathogen and already have other underlying diseases. Herein, we investigated the antibiotic resistance rate and the type of resistance genes in 85 isolates of multi-drug resistant A. baumannii from the samples commissioned to laboratory medicine in two university hospitals.in hospital A and hospital B.located in Cheonan and Chungcheong provinces, respectively, in Korea. As a result, bla<sub>OXA-23-like</sub>-like and bla<sub>OXA-51-like</sub>-like were detected in 82 stains (96.5%). These 82 strains of bla<sub>OXA-23-like</sub> producing A. baumannii were confirmed with the ISAba1 gene found at the top of the bla<sub>OXA-23-like</sub> genes by PCR, inducing the resistance against carbapenemase. The armA, AME gene that induces the resistance against aminoglycoside was detected in 34 strains out of 38 strains from Hospital A (89.5%), and in 40 strains out of 47 strains from Hospital B (85.1%), while AMEs were found in 33 strains out of 38 strains from Hospital A (70.2%) and in 44 strains out of 47 strains in Hospital B (93.6%). Therefore, it was found that most multi-drug resistant A. baumannii from the Cheonan area expressed both acethyltransferase and adenyltransferase. This study investigated the multi-drug resistant A. baumannii isolated from Cheonan and Chungcheong provinces in Korea, and it is thought that the results of the study can be utilized as the basic information to cure multi-drug resistant A. baumannii infections and to prevent the spread of drug resistance.

        Potassium L-lysine을 이용한 연소 후 이산화탄소 포집

        지구온난화 주요 원인 중에 하나인 이산화탄소의 효율적 저감을 위해 새로운 흡수제인 아미노산염 흡수제를 개발하여 이산화탄소 연속공정을 연구하였다. 이산화탄소 포집 및 저장에 소요되는 비용 중 약 70%는 이산화탄소 포 집비용이며, 이산화탄소 포집 공정 중에서 이산화탄소 흡수, 재생, 열화 등 흡수제에 의한 공정유지 비용이 대부분을 차지한다. 따라서 연속공정을 통한 흡수제의 특성 평가는 새로운 흡수제 개발에 매우 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구에서 는 potassium L-lysine 흡수제의 이산화탄소 흡수·재생 연속공정을 평가하여 공정 스케일업에 필요한 엔지니어링 자료 를 도출하고자 하였다. 흡수제와 이산화탄소 농도 변화 등 다양한 조건에서 아미노산염 흡수제의 최적 조건을 평가하 였다. 동일한 조건에서 L/G가 커질수록 이산화탄소 제거율이 높게 나타났으며, L/G 3.5에서 흡수탑과 재생탑 공정이 안정하게 유지되었다. 또한 아미노산염 흡수제는 유량 1.5 Nm<sup>3</sup>/h인 상태에서 L/G 3.5, 이산화탄소 농도 10.5 vol%의 공정 조건일 때 가장 높은 이산화탄소 제거효율이 나타내었다. Carbon dioxide is one of the main causes of global warming. In order to develop a novel absorbent, the characteristics of amino acid salts solution as a solvent for CO₂ capture in continuous process were investigated. The cost of CO₂ capture is almost 70% of total cost of CCS (carbon dioxide capture and storage). In the carbon dioxide capture process, process maintenance costs consist of the absorbent including the absorption, regeneration, degradation, and etc. It is very important to study the characteristics of absorbent in continuous process. In this study, we have investigated the properties of potassium L-lysine (PL) for getting scale-up factors in continuous process. To obtain optimum condition for removal efficiency of CO₂ in continuous process by varying liquid-gas (L/G) ratio, concentration of CO₂ and absorbent (PL) were tested. The stable condition of absorber and regenerator (L/G) ratio is 3.5. In addition, PL system reveals the highest removal efficiency of CO₂ with 3.5 of L/G and 10.5 vol% CO₂ (1.5Nm<sup>3</sup>/hr).

        월트 휘트먼의 「나 자신의 노래」 속의 성서의 유산: 미국신화의 새로운 신성한 텍스트

        This research will attempt to find a biblical legacy in Walt Whitman`s “Song of Myself” and demonstrate that he had a poetic vision of his writings being used as the new sacred text of American myth. The American myth was based on the Puritan heritage and the Bible had become an essential part of the American myth. With the vision of writing a new American Bible, Whitman fused into his poetry two great themes - the ongoing story of a country and a story of a complete man, Christ. Some biblical messages and functions are found in “Song of Myself”: from the Law, the Prophet, and the Wisdom Literature of the Old Testament and from the Gospel, the Letters, and the Revelation of the New Testament. Northrop Frye insists that the Bible is the story of “revelation.” With the vision of writing a New Sacred Text, Whitman himself became a new sacred text of a new American Bible by using Jesus as his poetic model, by being the light of revelation himself, as Christ became the new sacred text by the typological fulfillment of various Old Testament symbols.
