황토의 식이 내 첨가에 의한 돼지의 생리적 특성과 등급판정에 미치는 영향

본 연구의 목적은 황토의 식이 첨가에 의한 돼지의 성장 특성과 혈중 조성물의 변화를 규명하는 것이다. 총 153마리의 돼지(1주령 자돈 60마리 및 성돈 93마리)를 공시하였다. 자돈군은 일반사료 식이군, 0.5% 황토 + 일반사료 식이군, 1% 황토 + 일반사료 식이군으로 무작위로 3군으로 재배치하였다. 각 군간 증체량을 비교하였을 때 1% 황토가 포함된 사료를 식이한 군에서 일반사료와 0.5% 황토 + 일반사료 투여군에 비해 체중 증가가 관찰되었으나 통계적으로 유의하지는 않았다. 혈액학적 분석을 실시한 결과, 총 백혈구 수, 총 적혈구 수, 헤모글로빈 수, 혈액 중 혈구용적율, 평균 세포용적율, 평균 세포 내 헤모글로빈량, 평균 세포 내 헤모글로빈 농도, 평균 적혈구 폭, 혈소판 수치 등에서 각 군간의 유의한 차이가 없음을 확인하였다. 성돈군은 일반사료 식이군과 1% 황토 + 일반사료 식이군으로 구분하였으며, 혈청학적 분석에서 혈청 알부민의 농도는 1% 황토 + 일반사료 투여군에서 다른 군에 비하여 유의하게 증가하여 있는 것을 확인하였으나(p<0.01), 다른 지표들에서는 유의한 차이를 발견할 수 없었다. 황토가 포함된 사료를 투여한 군에서 획득한 분변의 조지방 함량은 다른 군에 비하여 유의하게 감소하는 것을 확인하였으며(p<0.001), 조단백 함량 및 조회분 함량은 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 도체의 무게와 등지방 두께의 측정 결과 각 군간의 유의한 차이는 발견할 수 없었으나, 도체의 등급 판정 결과 황토를 투여한 군의 도체 등급은 비투여군에 비해 유의하게 등급이 향상된 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 황토의 식이 첨가는 돼지의 영양소 흡수를 개선시킴으로서 도체의 등급을 향상시키는 것을 확인하였다. This study was conducted to examined the effect of dietary supplementation of yellow loess on the growth performance and blood component profiles in pigs. A total of one hundred fifty three pigs (60 one weeks old piglets and 93 adult pigs). Piglets were randomly divided into 3 groups which were control, control + 0.5% yellow loess, control + 1% yellow loess. We measured body weight and weight gain among treatment group. Indeed, we obtained hematological data with WBC, RBC, Hb, Hct, MCV, MCH, MCHC, RDW, and PLT in all loess supplemented group compared to the control. Adults were divided into 2 group (control and control + 1% yellow loess) and serum albumin levels in 1% yellow loess supplemented group was significantly higher than the control group (p<0.01). Amount of crude fat in feces was significantly reduced in yellow loess supplemented group (p<0.001), but no differences were observed at crude protein and crude ash in both groups. In carcass weight and back fat thickness, no significant differences were observed between control and yellow loess supplemented groups. The carcass grade was improved by the dietary supplementation of yellow loess compared to the pig fed control. As a results, dietary yellow loess improves nutrient absorption and carcass grade.
야콘 추출물이 Streptozotocin으로 유도된 당뇨 동물모델에서 혈당강하에 미치는 효과

This study was performed to investigate improvements in diabetes mellitus by extracts of yacon in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats. Fifty rats were divided into a normal group and four experimental groups. STZ (45 ㎎/㎏) was injected intraperitoneally to induce type I diabetes in the four experimental groups. Yacon extracts were administered for 5 weeks. Forty-five ICR mice were also divided into one positive control group and four experimental groups for the oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) after fed yacon extract. The control group did not eat any yacon extracts, while Group 1 (GI) was fed 125 ㎎/㎏ of yacon extracts, Group 2 (GII) was fed 250 ㎎/㎏ of yacon extracts, and Group 3 (GIII) was fed 500 ㎎/㎏ of yacon extracts. After treatment for 5 weeks, blood glucose in GIII group showed decreased tendency at the 5 week. In OGTT by glucose, the glucose level of yacon treatment group in diabetic rats was significantly decreased compared to the glucose level of the control group, but there was no difference in OGTT by maltose. In ICR mice, the glucose level of the experimental group in OGTT by maltose was significantly decreased compared to the control group. The area of the islets of Langerhans was increased by yacon treatment in a dose-dependent manner on diabetic rats. Insulin concentration of the GIII group was also decreased compared to the control group, while the concentration of fructosamine, total cholesterol, and triglycerides in serum showed no difference. OGTT by glucose or maltose in ICR mice or diabetic rats, area of the Islets of Langerhans, and insulin concentration improved. Yacon treatment may be a useful therapeutic and preventive strategy for diabetes mellitus.

본 연구에서는 4주간 혼합곡 식이를 공급하여 treadmill을 통한 운동시간과 glycogen 저장능력 변화를 관찰함으로써 지구력 개선에 대한 평가를 하였다. 7주령 SD rats은 정상군 (Nor, 정상식이, n=6), 대조군(Con, 20% 정상식이+80% milled rice, n=6), GⅠ(혼합곡 식이 Ⅰ, n=6), GⅡ(혼합곡 식이 Ⅱ, n=6), GⅢ(혼합곡 Ⅲ, n=6)와 GⅣ(혼합곡 식이 Ⅳ, n=6) 으로 임의 군배정을 하였다. 지구력 시험은 24일간의 적응 훈련과 혼합곡식이 공급을 한 후 실시하였다. 운동 지속 시간과 glycogen 저장능력은 혼합곡식이 공급에 의해서 증가하였다. 더욱이 25 min 운동 그리고/또는 탈진 시까지의 운동 후에서 혈액 내 무기질인, CPK와 lactate의 농도는 혼합곡 투여에 의하여 감소하였으나, GOP, GTP, lactate LDH의 농도는 군간 차이는 보이지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 4주간의 혼합곡 식이가 운동 지속 시간과 glycogen 장 능력이 증가되었으며, 피로물질인 무기질인, CPK와 lactate의 농도가 감소시킴으로써 지구력 개선에 도움을 줄 것으로 생각된다. This study evaluated the effect of multigrain supplementation on exercise-related changes in running time and glycogen storage capacity of male SD rats engaged in treadmill exercise. Thirty-six 6-week-old rats were divided into six groups: normal (Nor) fed normal feed, control (Con) fed with 20% normal feed and 80% milled rice, test group one (GI) fed with multigrain feed I, test group two (GII) fed with multigrain feed II, test group three (GIII) fed with multigrain feed III, and test group four (GIV) fed with multigrain feed IV. Endurance tests by treadmill machine were administered after 24 days of multigrain feed supplementation and adaptive training. Running time was extended and glycogen storage capacity increased in the multigrain-treated group compared to the non-treated group. Also, the fatigue indicators of inorganic phosphorous, CPK, and lactate concentration were all reduced in the multigrain feed group compared to the control group after 25 min and/or exhausted exercise. But there was no difference in GOP, GTP, lactate, or LDH concentrations between the groups. Our results demonstrated that endurance improved with multigrain feed in rats. Specifically, running time, glycogen storage capacity, inorganic phosphorous, CPK, and lactate serum concentration increased. Importantly, the improvements in endurance brought about in the GII group fed with waxy barley was the greatest among the experimental groups.

이 연구에서는 SD rat과 Mongolian gerbil에서 실험적으로 HCl-ethanol(150 mM HCl+60% ethanol)을 투여하여 급성 위염을 유발하고, H. pylori 감염시켜 만성 위염, 위궤양을 유발한 후, 건해삼을 투여하여 건해삼에 의한 항위염, 항위궤양 효과 및 H. pylori 감염 경향성 및 치료율을 검토하였던바 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 7주령 SD rats와 H. pylori에 감염시킨 7주령 Mogolian gerbils를 정상군(Nor, n=6)과 대조군(Con, 60% HCl-ethanol+증류수(vehicle), n=6)에 비하여 실험군 Ⅰ(DSD Ⅰ, 60% HCl-ethanol+건해삼 30 ㎎/㎏, n=6), 실험군 Ⅱ(DSD Ⅱ, 60% HCl-ethanol+건해삼 100 ㎎/㎏, n=6), 실험군 Ⅲ(DSD Ⅲ, 60% HCl-ethanol+건해삼 300 ㎎/㎏, n=6)에서는 건해삼 투여 용량에 따른 항위염, 항위궤양 및 항헬리코박터 효과를 육안적 소견, CLO test 및 병리조직학적 검사를 통해 확인할 수 있었다. 이상의 결과를 종합해볼 때 건해삼이 새로운 위염 및 위손상 치료제와 기능성식품의 개발에 활용할 수 있음을 확인하였다. Sea cucumber, Stichopus japonicus, is used not only as an outstanding tonic food but also as a traditional medicine for the treatment of asthma, hypertension, rheumatism, anemia, and sinus congestion. The purpose of this study was to examine sea cucumber as an anti-gastritis and anti-gastric ulcer in HCl-ethanol-induced gastric and H. pylori-infected animal models. Thirty 7-week-old SD rats and Mongolian gerbils were divided into normal (Nor, n=6), control (Con, 60% HCl-ethanol+water, n=6), groupⅠ (DSCⅠ, 60% HCl-ethanol+sea cucumber 30 ㎎/㎏, n=6), groupⅡ (DSCⅡ, 60% HCl-ethanol+sea cucumber 100 ㎎/㎏, n=6), and group Ⅲ (DSCⅢ, 60% HCl-ethanol+sea cucumber 300 ㎎/㎏, n=6). Sea cucumber significantly suppressed gastric lesions and ulcers in the 60% HCl-ethanol-induced gastric model. Especially, 100 ㎎/kg of sea cucumber showed significantly inhibitory effects. In histopathological analysis of the H. pylori model, we found that sea cucumber augmented the eradication rates of H. pylori and attenuated gastric ulcer formation. Our results suggest that sea cucumber has inhibitory effects on gastritis and gastric ulcers. In addition, sea cucumber can be applied for the treatment of H. pylori.

국내의 경우 IT 분야에 있어 세계적으로 기술력을 인정받고는 있으나, 어선을 중심으로 형성되어 있는 국내 레저선박 시장에는 아직까지 그 기술력이 미치지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 우리나라의 국민소득이 이미 22,000 달러를 넘어선 시점에서는 중소형 레저 보트와 관련된 상품에 대한 수요가 점진적으로 증가하고 있으나 고 부가가치 제품에 있어서는 대부분 미국과 유럽 등으로 부터 수입에 의존하고 있고 자동차의 경우 Car Navigation 보급을 시작으로 사용자의 다양한 요구사항들을 충족시켜 주는 제품이 쏟아져 나오기 시작했으며, 이제는 자동차에 있어서 IT 기술은 없어서는 안 될 필수 사항이다. 이에 신뢰성 있는 임베디드 하드웨어 기술과 Mapping 기술을 활용하여 국내 중소형 레저선박을 대상으로 육상에 적용된 최신 ICT 기술을 접목시킨Digital Ship Navigator를 개발하여 보급할 경우 그 동안 침체되어 있었던 중소형 선박 IT관련 산업을 성장 시킬 수 있는 계기를 마련할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 해외 시장에 대한 수출까지 기대해 볼 수 있다. In the domestic case, although technological capabilities are recognized globally in the IT field, it is actually that the technical capabilities of the domestic leisure ship market which is formed mainly by fishing vessels are not beyond their technical capabilities At the point where the GNP of our country already goes over 22,000 dollars, the demand for the products related to the middle and small leisure boats is gradually increasing, but most of the high added value products depend on the imports from U.S.A. and Europe. And in case of the cars, with the Car Navigation as the start, products which satisfies various demands of the users are coming out in large quantity and now the IT technology is the necessity which can not be lived without in the car industry. Thus, if the digital ship navigator which jointed the recent ICT technology which was applied to the land for the domestic middle and small leisure ships by utilizing the embedded hardware technology and mapping technology which are credible is developed and distributed, it will become not only the opportunity to improve the industry related to middle and small ship IT, but also, the export about overseas market can be expected.
고지방식이에 의한 비만 동물모델에서 유산균 마분말의 항비만 효과

The purpose of this study was to examine the antiobesity effects of lactic acid bacteria-fermented Dioscoreae Rhizoma powder (LDR) in Sprague-Dawley rats with high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obesity. Rats were divided into 5 groups: normal diet group, control (high fat diet-vehicle) group, 0.4 g/kg LDR (high fat diet + 0.4 g/kg lactic acid bacteria-fermented Dioscoreae Rhizoma powder) group, 1 g/kg LDR (high fat diet + lactic acid bacteria-fermented Dioscoreae Rhizoma powder) group, 2.5g/kg LDR (high fat diet + lactic acid bacteria-fermented Dioscoreae Rhizoma powder) group. Our results indicate that LDR administration has effects on decreasing of body weight, fat weight, blood parameters and adipocyte size in the obesity animals. In addition, verified that fat degeneration and ballooning degeneration were alleviated in the experimental group fed on a high fat diet combined with LDR groups. These results indicate that lactic acid bacteria-fermented Dioscoreae Rhizoma powder may reduce elevating body weight and lipid accumulation in rat fed a high fat diet, suggesting its usefulness as a functional food for reducing body fat and obesity.
유산균제제(Lactobacillus helveticus HY7801)의 경구 투여가 아토피 피부염 동물모델의 면역 반응 및 피부 개선에 미치는 효과

Probiotics improve the immune system. However, the effects of its lactic acid bacteria on atopic dermatitis relief and inflammation improvement is not fully understood. Recently, one of the probiotics, Lactobacillus helveticus HY7801 (HY7801), was found to have an anti-inflammatory effect. In this study, we investigated the effects of HY7801 on atopic dermatitis-induced animal models. After four weeks of oral administration, the group treated with HY7801 showed amelioration of the atopic dermatitis compared to the group receiving placebo. In the HY7801 treated group, the epidermal hyper-proliferation and collagen deposition were inhibited compared to the placebo group, and the secretion amount of the inflammatory factors, such as TNF-α, IL-4 were reduced. In conclusion, these results suggest that HY7801 acts as a functional probiotic via amelioration of the atopic dermatitis such as a decrease of epidermal hyper-proliferation, and collagen deposition and anti-inflammatory effects.
