This study aimed to investigate the effects of amino acid complex additives, such as protected vitamin C (VC) or detoxified sulfur (DS), on the growth and metabolism of Hanwoo cattle under high-temperature conditions. Accordingly, farms in Temperature-Humidity Index (THI) regions ranging from 78 to 89 for over 100 days were selected. The experimental groups were control, T1 (lysine + methionine + VC, 50 g/head/day), and T2 (lysine + methionine + DS, 50 g/head/day) with 70, 77, and 71 animals each. The range of the THI for 115 days was 78-89, and this occurred in most of the experiment days. The results showed that there was no significant difference in rectal temperature among the groups. The body weight increased to 786.4 and 809.0kg in the T1 and T2 groups, respectively, compared to the control group (p<0.05). Linoleic acid showed a high result of 2.01% in the T1 group compared to the control group (p<0.05). Unsaturated fatty acids were higher at 55.70 and 56.54% in the T1 and T2 groups, respectively, compared to the control group (p<0.05), and the omega 6/3 ratio was reduced to 20.10% (p<0.05). These findings indicate that T1 has a positive impact on growth, meat quality, and fatty acid composition compared to the control group. In conclusion, amino acid complex with VC improved the body weight of Hanwoo steers and the unsaturated fatty acids and essential amino acids of their meat; however, further research is needed to clarify this impact on carcass performance.
이동통신용 전압제어 발진기(VCO)의 구성 및 발전 동향

최근 몇 년 동안 이동통신에 대한 시장 규모는 급성장을 보여왔다. 이러한 시장규모 성장에 힘입어 단말기에 사용되는 RF부품 제작 기술 또한 급진전됐으며 이동통신용 RF부품은 과거에 비해 놀라울 정도로 소형 경량화 되어 단말기의 휴대성을 더욱 높이고 있다. 특히 전압 제어 발진기의 경우 지난 10년 사이에 1/30 정도로 크기가 축소 됐으며 향후로도 계속적으로 축소되어 좀더 휴대하기 간편하고 편리한 다 기능의 단말기를 가능하게 할 것이다. 본 고에서는 과거 10년 동안의 전압제어발진기의 발전동향 및 추세를 살펴보고 현재 사용되는 전압제어 발진기의 구조 및 회로 동작 원리를 설명하고자 한다. 또한 향후 계속되어야 할 전압제어 발진기의 발전 방향을 전망해 보고자 한다.
사료섭취량에 따른 육성기 한우의 반추위 융모 발달 및 사양성적에 미치는 영향

사료섭취량에 따른 반추위 발달에 관한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 사료섭취량의 수준이 반추위 융모 길이의 변화와 사양성적에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위해 진행하였다. 실험 1에서는 동일한 사양조건에서 10개월령 한우 거세우 28두를 대상으로 연령에 따른 반추위 융모 길이의 변화를 조사하였으며, 실험 2에서는 서로 다른 수준의 건물섭취량이 6개월령 육성기 한우의 반추위 융모 길이 및 기타 성적에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 68마리의 육성기 한우를 사료섭취량에 따라 4개의 처리구로 구분하여 실험을 진행하였다(T1: 5kg 이하, T2: 5-6kg, T3: 6-7kg, T4: 7kg 이상). 한우 거세우의 반추위 융모의 길이는 월령이 증가할수록 감소되었다(P<0.05). 본 연구결과에서 다른 처리구들에 비해 T3구에서 일당증체량 및 사료요구율이 개선되었다(P<0.05). 육성기 한우의 반추위 융모 길이는 다른 처리구들에 비해 T4구에서 낮은 결과를 보였다(P<0.05). 사료섭취량의 증가는 육성기 한우의 사양성적 및 반추위 융모 발달에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 생각되나, 조사료/농후사료 비율의 차이는 육성기 한우의 부정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 판단된다. Studies on rumen development according to feed intake levels are scarce. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of feed intake levels on changes in rumen papilla length and growth performance in Hanwoo steers. In experiment 1, we investigated changes in rumen papilla length according to age in 28 10-month-old steers. In Experiment 2, the effects of different levels of DMI on ruminal papilla length and growth performance of 6-month steers were evaluated. Sixty-eight growing Hanwoo were divided into four treatment groups according to daily DMI consumption, viz., T1: 5kg or less, T2: 5-6kg, T3: 6-7kg, T4: 7kg or more. Rumen papilla length decreased with increasing age (P<0.05). Average daily gain and feed conversion ratio were greater in the T3 group than in the other groups. (P<0.05). Furthermore, average ruminal papilla length in growing Hanwoo was significantly lower in the T4 group than in the other treatment groups (P<0.05). Although an increase in feed intake is considered to influence growth performance and rumen papilla development positively, the study shows that a higher forage/concentrate feed ratio can negatively affect growing Hanwoo steers.
사료용 복합생균제가 브로일러의 생산성과 닭고기 품질에 미치는 영향

An experiment was conducted with 240 broiler chickens (ROSS 308) to evaluate the influence of supplementation of a probiotic feed mixture (PFM) including Bacillus subtillus, Streptomyces galilaeus, and Sphingobacteriaceae on growth performance and quality of chicken meats. Broiler chickens were randomly allocated to one of four treatment groups: 1) CON (no PFM as control), 2) CP3 (0.3% commercial probiotics), 3) PFM3 (0.3% PFM), and 4) PFM5 (0.5% PFM 0.5). They were then reared for 35 days. Body weight was significantly increased in CP3, PFM3, and PFM5 compared to that in CON (p<0.05). In addition, PFM3 and PFM5 had higher body weights then CP3 (p<0.05). Weights of F-sac, thymus, and spleen and IgG levels were significantly higher in CP3, PFM3, and PFM5 than those in CON (p<0.05). In addition, they were higher in PFM3 and PFM5 than those in CP3 (p<0.05). Broiler chickens fed diet with PFM3, PFM5, and CP3 also had higher numbers of Lactobacillus in cecum than broiler chickens fed CON diet (p<0.05). However, their numbers of E. coli, Salmonella, coliforms, and total aerobic bacteria were significantly reduced (p<0.05). Water holding capacity of breast meat was significantly improved in PFM3 and PFM5 compared to that in CON and CP3 (p<0.05). These results suggest that dietary 0.3% probiotic feed mixture including Bacillus subtillus, Streptomyces galilaeus, and Sphingobacteriaceae may improve growth performance and meat quality of broiler chickens.
가축에 대한 보조사료 규산염제로서 포졸란의 in vitro 항균 효과

The purpose of this study was to investigate in vitro antibacterial activities of pozzolan against super bacteria and intestinal bacteria. There were four treatment groups: 1) CON, pozzolan free control group; 2) DP0.3, microbial culture medium prepared by mixing distilled water and 0.3% of pozzolan powder; 3) DP0.5, microbial culture medium prepared by mixing distilled water and 0.5% of pozzolan powder; and 4) PE, microbial culture medium prepared with pozzolan powder extracts without adding distilled water. The count of Lacctobacillus casei was significantly higher in the DP0.3 group compared to CON (P<0.05). However, it showed no significant difference compared to other treatment groups. Numbers of Clostridium butyricum, Escherichia coli, and Salmonella typhimurium were significantly lower in pozzolanic treatment groups compared to CON (P<0.05). Clostridium butyricum and Salmonella typhimurium counts were significantly different among DP0.3, DP0.5, and PE groups (P<0.05). Counts of E. coli were also significantly between DP0.5 and PE groups (P<0.05). Counts of MRSA and VRE were significantly lower in pozzolanic treatment groups compared to CON (P<0.05). MRSA counts were significantly different among DP0.5, DP0.3 and PE groups. VRE counts were significantly higher in the order of PE > DP0.3> DP0.5> CON (P<0.05). These results suggest that pozzolan could be used as a dietary silicate supplement and a natural antibacterial agent for livestock if its antimicrobial activity against super bacteria and harmful bacteria in the intestine is confirmed.

This study investigated action mechanism and biological effect of Jijang-kimch, including its anti-obesity effect and blood lipid-decreasing effect in a high-fat diet-induced obese model animals. There were four treatment groups: CD (chow diet as normal control), HFD (high fat diet as obesity control), HFDCK (HFD plus commercial kimchi extracts), and HFDJK (HFD plus Jijang-kimchi extract). Kimchi extracts were orally administered for 28 days. Body weight, liver, and adipose tissue weight declined in HFDJK compared to those in HFDCK(p<0.05). Blood triglyceride, total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C), and glucose level decreased in CD, HFDJK, and HFDCK compared to those in HFD(p<0.05). Those in HFDJK were lower than those in HFDCK(p<0.05). Sizes of liver and adipose cells increased in HFD, HFDCK, and HFDJ that those in CD(p<0.05). Those in HFDJK were greatly decreased than those in HFDCK(p<0.05). These results indicate that ingestion of Jijang-kimchi in obese model animals has anti-obesity effect by lowering blood lipid and glucose levels and decreasing adipocyte size compared to that of commercial-kimchi.

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the mechanism of metabolic partitioning between oxidization and esterification of liver fatty acids synthesized and secreted by the liver from egg yolkfed laboratory rats. Animals were divided into four groups and orally administered egg yolk daily for 30 days: CON (control group, 1.0 g of saline solution), T1 (1.0 gof pork belly oil), T2 (1.0 g of egg yolk), and T3 (1.0 g of pork belly oil and 1.0 g of egg yolk, alternatively each week). The accumulation rate of [ 14 C]labelled lipid in liver was lowest in T2 among all treatments (P<0.05). Phospholipid secretion was higher in T2 than other treatments (P<0.05). The triglycerol secretion was highest in T1 and higher in the order of CON, T3, and T2 (P<0.05). Metabolic partitioning rate of phospholipid from total glycerolipid was highest in T2, followed by T3, CON and T1 (P<0.05). The 14 CO 2 production from total glycerolipid was the highest in T2 and showed a high oxidation rate compared to CON, T1, and T3 (P<0.05). Metabolic partitioning of glycerolipid from the liver decreased in triglycerol of T2 compared to CON, T1, and T3, whereas phospholipids of T2 increased (P<0.05).
복합생균제가 산란계의 생산성, 계란품질 및 악취저감에 미치는 영향

The objective of the present study was to evaluate effects of probiotic mixture (PM) including Bacillus subtillus, Streptomyces galilaeus and Sphingobacteriaceae on egg production, egg quality, and eliminating odor in laying hens. A total of 240 Hy-Line Brown laying hens (50 wks of age) were divided into four treatment groups (60 replicates of birds, each) in completely randomized design. Groups were assigned to four experimental diets: CON (a basal diet of no PM additive as control), basal diet supplemented with either CP3 (0.3% commercial probiotics), PM3 (0.3% PM), or PM5 (0.5% PM 0.5). Data of egg production and egg quality were obtained during 6 weeks of experimental period. Egg production, Haugh unit, shell thickness, breaking strength, yolk color, and albumin high were significantly increased in CP3 and PM3 compared to those in CON and CP3. Ammonia levels and numbers of E. coli, total aerobic bacteria, Coliform, and Salmonella in feces were significantly increased in order of CON>CP3>PM3>PM5. The present study indicates that addition of 0.3% probiotic mixture including B. subtillus, S. galilaeus and Sphingobacteriaceae to diets may improve egg production, egg quality, and eliminate fecal ammonia of laying hens.
조셉슨 전압 표준을 위한 극저온(4.2K) X-밴드 HEMT 발전기의 설계

A new oscillator configuration is presented and tested for Josephson voltage standard operated at the cryogenic(4.2K) temperature. Features of active devices are investigated in aspects of 1/f noise, output power, and current collapse at low temperature. The output power of oscillator is optimized by a nonlinear design approach called Harmonic Two Signal Method(HTSM). The embedding newworks of the generalized six oscillators with tow loads are derived. A HEMT oscilliator is designed in X-Band for the Josephson voltage standard and tested at room and cryogenic(4.2K) temperatures. Oscillation frequency, output power, C/N ratio, and fequency stability are compared at room and low temperatures.
