「템페스트」에 나타난 기독교적 교의의 형식으로서의 환상

In this article I wish to explore Fantasy as Christian & Philosophical patterns reflected in The Tempest. I mean that a Christian Pattern or a philosophical one is a system of presuppositions or beliefs about man's inner being and his relation to the ruling cosmic powers. The Tempest is a remarkable drama in that it is based not only on one philosophical pattern but also on one Christian Premise. I found convincingly that Prospero's command of the elements (fire, tempest water soil) through Ariel and his mastery of other human beings on the island of his exile are reflective of the Neoplatonic concept of white magic, the object of which is the elevation of the intellectual soul by way of the study of divine signatures in the world sense. This christian theological (philosophical) pattern provides a basis for understanding and judging the actions of Prospero and also tells us much about the nature of Ariel and Caliban, but it does rot touch on the other characters and actions in the play. As you know, This play reminds me that the world is not an end itself but only a means of ministering to the world of experience, by buying his staff and drawing his book Prospero completes the regeneration of his subject-actors and liberates them to return to the world of experierce. And he also acknowledges the social imperative, the necessity of living on even terms with other human beings in the experimental world.

「겨울이야기」에 반영된 Hermiones의 부활

  In this essay I shall discuss the resurrection of Hermione reflected in The Winter"s Tale. I venture to discuss here some dominating elements of restoration in the play. As soon as we see Hermione in The Winter"s Tale(5.3), standing (in the words of Folio Stage direction) "like a statue"; Accordingly spectators may be struck by this apparent cold pastoral that extracts out of thought as "doth eternity". Under the guidance of Paulina the artifact of Hermione becomes the reality of the woman supposed dead for 16 years. There is small miracle responded to this startling event, which is unique in all of Shakespeare. And I also support Shakespeare"s scholars" conjectures of the first original form of The Winter"s Tale, and then I suggest dramatic and historical sources affected Shakespeare"s final design of The Winter"s Tale, and consider the nature of the statue of Hermione.<BR>  In the introduction to The Winter"s Tale (Arden shakespeare"s edition) Frank Kermode observes that "the play" may have been without the statue in its original dramatic text. On the other hand Kenneth Muir not only believes that the restoration of Hermione must have been part of Shakespeare"s original plan, but also allows that it is possible that Hermione was not restored to life.<BR>  Accordingly I do believe that the 1611 Lord May"s Show has incipient dramatic elements suggested to shakespeare a means of renewing Hermione"s life : the first is the theme of restoration(5.2) ; the second is the renewal of father(Leontes) and daughter(Perdita) and reconciliation of friends. Paulina (5) is in charge, and she may seen as the agent of "Time" or the analogue to "Time" of the pageant; she calls Hermione from apparent death.<BR>  In the pageant there is an actual tomb which dramatic spectators see, and The Winter"s Tale in Paulina"s chapel temple the visitors find the statue on some kind of tomb device. And miracles also happen in both pageant and The Winter"s Tale. All attention focuses on Farrindon"s tomb in the pageant and on Hermione"s statue in The Winter"s Tale"s final scene. In a memorable dramatic gesture "Time presence" summons Farrindon from the tomb, and correspondingly Paulina brings the presumed statue of Hermione to life in a deliberate and distinctive act : "Paulina call out" ; "Music! Awake her! strike! Tis time; descend; be stone no more; Approach" (Act 5. S.3. 98-99).<BR>  It seems to me that Shakespeare"s artistic treatment is the more profound; here "Art and Nature" come together beneficially.

Hamlet에 나타난 기억의 극적기능

At the close of the First Act, Hamlet received his change from the spirit of his father, looking like the late king of Denmark; and his condition was vividly depicted in the fact that, within an hour of receiving this charge, he relapsed into that weariness of life or longing for death which is the immediate cause of the Second At, Accordingly Hamlet′s attitude now receives strong dramatic support with the entry of Horatio, Maucellus, and Bernardo. Hamlet might be isolated in the court but his remembrance did not seem most absurd to those who have seen the armed ghost of his father. The half-joke was deliberately placed in order to draw attention to the fact that Hamlet′s own memory was about to be stirred not only by the mind′s eye of memory but by all his faculties of eyes and ears(Ⅱ.ⅱ. 559). The guard now summoned him to the dark of the battlements to look upon his likeness. Horatio, at the beginning of the first scene, associated Hamlet with the colors of the dawn. This symbolism was sharply reversed during the first court scene.

지식기반산업의 집적경제가 지식기반산업고용성장에 미치는 영향 - 경기도를 중심으로 -

본 연구는 경기도를 대상으로 하여 지식기반산업의 집적이 지식기반산업의 고용성장에 미치는 영향의 원인을 외부효과를 바탕으로 규명하고자 하였다. 연구 방법은 규모의 경제와 집적의 경제에 대한 외부효과의 정도를 검증한 Glaeser, Kallal, Sheinkman and Shleifer(1992)의 연구를 바탕으로, 동적외부효과(dynamic externality)가 도시성장의 주요 요인이라는 관점들을 실증 분석하였다. 종속변수로는 경기도 지식기반산업의 고용성장률을, 설명변수로는 동적외부효과를 나타내는 MAR효과(특화), Porter효과(경쟁), Jacobs효과(다양성) 3개의 변수를 정량화하였으며 분석 결과, 지식기반산업의 집적경제 요인 중 다양성 변수는 유의하지 않으며 특화와 경쟁은 지식기반산업의 고용성장과 유의한 음의 관계를 가지는 것으로 나타나, 동적외부효과 중에서 고용성장에 양의 영향을 주는 것은 없었다. 그 밖에 지역구분, 생산자 서비스 특화도 역시 고용증가율과 유의한 음의 상관관계를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. Based on Glaeser et al.(1992), this study examines the cause of effect of agglomeration of knowledge-based industry on employment growth using a new data set of regional specialization, diversity, and competition in 31 cities in Gyeonggi. Also this study analyzes the view which explains that dynamic externality is the major factor of urban growth. We establish control variables such as knowledge-based industries in 2000, human capital, producer service concentration, and geographical dummy. In terms of the externality variables, we set them as specialization, competition, and diversity. The results suggest that diversity seems not to have a significant effect while urban specialization and competition seem to have negative effects on employment growth. The evidence suggests that important knowledge spillover might occur between industries rather than within industry, being consistent with Porter's theories. But the other variables are not significant, then Jacobs's theory does not receive any empirical supports. Producer service concentration and geographical dummy are all significant and negative.

비와호 유역하수도 사례분석을 통한 일본 유역하수도계획의 소개

일본의 「유역별 하수도정비종합계획」(이하 ‘유총계획’) 및 비와호 유역하수도를 소개하고 이를 바탕으로 국내에서 2013년도부터 수립ㆍ시행되고 있는 「유역하수도정비계획」의 발전방향 등을 제시하였다. 일본의 유총계획은 환경기본법에서 정하는 수질환경기준을 준수하기 위한 계획으로 비와호의 경우는 지자체의 조례에 의한 가중 배수기준보다 더 엄격한 기준을 적용하여 수립ㆍ시행하고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 특히 비와호의 경우는 응집제첨가다단소화탈질법 등의 고도처리공법을 건설초기단계부터 적용하여 방류수의 수질항목별 농도가 BOD 0.9 mg/L, SS 0.6 mg/L, T-N 5.5 mg/L, T-P 0.06 mg/L였으며 BOD의 처리효율은 99.5%로 매우 높았다. 도입초기단계인 국내 유역하수도계획의 발전을 위해서는 평가항목의 다양화, 비용최소화, 건설 및 유지 보조금제도 개선, 경제적 개념의 배출부하량조정시스템의 도입, 유역하수도 개념 적립 등의 적용방법 등을 장기적인 관점에서 연구할 필요가 있다. We investigate the Japan’s Master Plan of Comprehensive Sewerage System (JMPS) and Lake Biwa basin sewerage and suggest future development direction of the Watershed Sewerage System Maintenance Plan in Korea enforced on February 2, 2013. The JMPS is designed for compliance with the environmental standard for water quality under the Environmental Policy Act. The effluent standards applied in the master plan of Lake Biwa’s Sewerage Plan for the Lake Biwa is tougher than the national standards. Therefore the Lake Biwa Baisn Sewerage System was the first in Japan to adopt facilities that perform advanced treatment for nitrogen and phosphorus removal. BOD, SS, T-N and T-P concentrations of discharge water of sewage are 0.9, 0.6, 5.5, 0.06 mg/L, respectively. Especially removal efficiency for BOD is 99.5 percent. It is necessary to study the diversification of the evaluation criteria, cost minimization approach, subsidy system improvement, economic concept of discharge load adjustment system and establishment of basin sewerage concept for the development of the basin sewerage plan in Korea.

진위천 수계의 수질오염총량제 시행에 따른 지역개발과 삭감계획 평가

본 연구에서는 2012년부터 수질오염총량관리 시행계획이 시행중인 진위천 수계의 연차별 지역개발 및 삭감계획을 평가하여 최종년도 할당부하량 및 목표수질을 만족하기 위한 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 진위천 수계 8개 자치단체의 시행계획을 분석한 결과, 대부분의 지자체에서 삭감계획보다 개발계획의 연차별 진행률이 빠른 경향을 보였다. 군포시, 용인시, 화성시는 2020년, 평택시는 2018년, 안성시는 2015년, 오산시는 2019년이 되어서야 삭감계획 진행율이 개발계획 진행율 보다 높거나 같아졌다. 주요 삭감방법은 하수처리시설 신증설, 방류수질 개선, 축산폐수 및 고형물의 자원화, 비점저감시설 확충 등 이었으며, 특히 축산산업이 활발한 지역의 특성이 반영되어 총 삭감률 중 가장 높은 비율을 차지하는 삭감방법은 축산폐수 및고형물의 자원화로 삭감률은 34.1%에 해당되었다. 진위천 수계의 수질오염총량제가 성공적으로 정착하기 위해서는 삭감계획및 지역개발계획의 체계적인 관리를 포함하여 기초자치단체의 적극적인 의지가 무엇보다 중요할 것으로 판단된다. The development and reduction scheme under implementation plan of TMDLs were performed in the Jinwi watershedincluding 8 cities (Gunpo, Yongin, Suwon, Anseong, Osan, Uiwang, Pyeongtaek and Hwaseong) since 2012. Progress of the annualdevelopment schemes was faster than the reduction schemes in most of the cities during the planning period. Main load reductionmethods included establishment and enlargement of sewage treatment plants, resources of livestock excretions, and introduction ofbest management practices of non-point source pollution. Especially, reduction load using recycling and composting of livestockexcretions comprised 34.1% of all reduction load. It is necessary to implement methodical development and reduction scheme formaking of successful performance of TMDLs and water quality improvement in the Jinwi watershed.

Advanced Sectioned Images of a Cadaver Head with Voxel Size of 0.04 mm

Background: The sectioned images of a cadaver head made from the Visible Korean project have been used for research and educational purposes. However, the image resolution is insufficient to observe detailed structures suitable for experts. In this study, advanced sectioned images with higher resolution were produced for the identification of more detailed structures. Methods: The head of a donated female cadaver was scanned for 3 Tesla magnetic resonance images and diffusion tensor images (DTIs). After the head was frozen, the head was sectioned serially at 0.04-mm intervals and photographed repeatedly using a digital camera. Results: On the resulting 4,000 sectioned images (intervals and pixel size, 0.04 mm3 ; color depth, 48 bits color; a file size, 288 Mbytes), minute brain structures, which can be observed not on previous sectioned images but on microscopic slides, were observed. The voxel size of this study (0.04 mm3 ) was very minute compared to our previous study (0.1 mm3 ; resolution, 4,368 × 2,912) and Visible Human Project of the USA (0.33 mm3 ; resolution, 2,048 × 2,048). Furthermore, the sectioned images were combined with tractography of the DTIs to elucidate the white matter with high resolution and the actual color of the tissue. Conclusion: The sectioned images will be used for diverse research, including the applications for the cross sectional anatomy and three-dimensional models for virtual experiments.
