Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the CRB-65 score as a prognostic predictor in acute heart failure (HF) patients who visited the emergency department (ED). Methods: This study was performed retrospectively on HF patients over the age of 19 years admitted to the ED between August 2018 and July 2020. The patients who met the Framingham criteria, including acute pulmonary edema, were classified by the CRB-65 score and compared with previous HF prognostic predictors (Acute Decompensated Heart Failure National Registry, Get with The Guidelines-Heart Failure and Enhanced Feedback for Effective Cardiac Treatment). We defined the primary outcome as 30-day mortality and secondary outcomes as hospitalization days (HD), admission to intensive care unit (ICU), length of stay (LOS) in the ICU and mechanical ventilation (MV). We conducted linear regression and logistic regression with these outcomes and obtained the area under the receiver-operating characteristics (AUROC) curve to compare the predictive power of the primary outcome. Results: A total of 462 patients were included in the study, and their mean age was 80 years. According to the linear and logistic regression analysis results, the CRB-65 score was significantly correlated with HD (P<0.001), admission to ICU (P=0.014), LOS in ICU (P<0.001) and MV (P=0.004). The AUROC curve of CRB-65 was not higher than the other previous prognostic predictors (AUROC, 0.69), but the result was not different from the predictors. Conclusion: The CRB-65 score is one of the prognostic indicators of acute HF in the ED. However, its prognostic predictive power remains limited.
Time Perspective in Individuals with Sluggish Cognitive Tempo

Individuals with sluggish cognitive tempo (SCT) experience difficulties in achieving goal-directed behaviors. As time perspective (TP) helps elaborate problems in goal pursuit, this study aimed to identify the TP of individuals with SCT and compare it to individuals with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The screening was performed using the Barkley Adult ADHD Rating Scale-IV, and participants were divided into the following groups: SCT & ADHD (n= 20), SCT only (n= 46), ADHD only (n= 22), and healthy controls (n= 28). To assess TP, participants also completed the Swedish Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory. After controlling for depression and anxiety, the SCT only group showed higher present-fatalistic and future-negative TP compared to healthy controls. The ADHD only group showed higher present-hedonistic and futurenegative TP when compared to healthy controls. These results indicate that individuals with SCT have a generally fatalistic attitude and an aversive view of the future, possibly associated with low engagement in social and academic activities. On the other hand, individuals with ADHD have a present-oriented view and an aversive view of the future, possibly related to impulsivity.
재진입 캡슐용 열보호 시스템의 열분해 및 삭마 거동 분석

본 논문에서는 열보호 시스템과 하부 구조체로 구성된 재진입 캡슐의 초기 형상을 설계하였으며, 재진입 시 배터리와 GPS 안테나 등 전자 부품의 운용 온도를 고려하여 하부 구조체의 온도 요구 조건을 333 K 이하로 설정하였다. 경계 조건으로 재진입 비행 궤도에 따라 최대 12.4 MW/m2의 열유속을 부여하였으며, 재진입 캡슐의 전체 온도 분포와 함께 열보호 시스템의 열분해 및 삭마 거동을 분석하였다. 표면 온도는 최대 3,227 K까지 상승하였으며 열화학적 삭마로 인해 7.412 mm의 표면 침식이 발생하였으나 하부 구조체는 온도 요구 조건을 충분히 만족하였다. 이와 같은 결과는 예비 설계 관점에서 열보호 시스템의 두께 마진을 감소시켜 추가 경량화할 수 있음을 의미한다. 이를 통해 다양한 삭마 재료를 적용하고 신뢰성 있는 재진입 캡슐을 설계하기 위한 해석 절차를 확립하였다. The initial configuration of a reentry capsule composed of thermal protection system (TPS) and substructure was designed. The temperature requirement of the substructure was set below 333 K, considering the operating temperature of electronic equipment such as batteries and GPS antennas during reentry. A maximum heat flux of 12.4 MW/m2 was applied as a boundary condition. Furthermore, the overall temperature distribution of the reentry capsule and the pyrolysis and ablation behavior of the TPS were analyzed. The surface temperature increased up to 3,227 K, and the surface recession of 7.412 mm occurred due to thermochemical ablation, but the substructure met the temperature requirements. These results imply that the thickness margin of the TPS can be reduced in the preliminary design phase, enabling further lightweighting. In conclusion, the analysis procedures were established to apply various ablative materials and design the reliable reentry capsule.
김(Pyropia yezoensis) 물 추출 천연 색소의 첨가에 의한 수리미 혼합물의 특성 변화

We investigated the physical properties and color values of surimi mixtures with added natural red pigments from laver Pyropia yezoensis. After adding the natural red pigment from seaweed extract to surimi, the hardness, gumminess, and chewiness of the surimi decreased compared to the negative controls. The L* color value was lower for the surimi mixture than the negative controls, but the a* and b* color values were higher. After cold storage for 7 days, the unheated surimi mixture showed increased firmness, but decreased adhesiveness. Moreover, the gumminess and chewiness of the surimi mixture stored after heating were increased compared to the pre-storage values. These results indicate that seaweed extract pigments may be used as additives for surimi, to increase the color preference, with little effect on the physical properties.
