Due to global climate change, mega-droughts have occurred frequently. Since long-term droughts make it difficult to secure the water resources, water supply needs to be restricted in a reasonable manner. In the event of limited water supply, the waterworks need to develop a restricted water supply strategy. This study showed that analyzing daily water supply could be used to respond to the first stage of a drought. According to an analysis of Korea's major water authorities, there was about 7~21% of room for daily minimum water supply in case of a drought. Restricting the water supply by lowering pressure is a good strategy for local water authorities with high water leakage rate since leakage is inversely dependent with pressure. For this method, it is necessary to quantify water deficiency and pressure at each node using a simulation. Since DDA-based software is not possible to predict changes in demand at nodes with pressure reduction, WaterGEMS, a PDA software, was used to quantitatively predict water shortages and pressures at each node. Locations where water is deficient need to install booster pumps or to be dispatched with water tank truck and bottled water. Without these support, lowering pressure could not be an option for water works. This paper suggests a method for waterworks to plan a drought by lowering pressure to restrict water supply using daily water supply analysis and PDA based simulation.

In order to cope with the rapidly changing market, smal and medium-sized manufacturing companies are planing for introducing colaborative robotsuitable for automated asembly. Thistudy analyzes and evaluates the work of existing proceses and designs and implements aplications that provide quantiative expected efects after introduction of colaborative robots. The aplication is designed on the basis of digital twins, using motion capture sensors to synchronize the actions of workers in the physical environment to the cyber environment and analyze the work. The implemented aplication is aplied to the asembly proces to measure and analyze the working time and dificulty, verifying the efectivenes.

Recently, many production lines are becoming more automated and smarter by Industry 4.0 by Germany. However, human workers still make up a large portion of production lines that do not have automated facilities and/or require high skills for complex assembly operations. To analyze workers’ jobs faster and more efficiently, the recent researches have been using a digital human model that digitized worker’s postures and movements using motion capture technology during productions. Digital twin models are constructed using various IoT technologies including motion capture are used for analysis of work. This data collected from digital twin models including worker can be an important measure of productivity evaluation. In this study, we designed architecture for cyber physical system of workers, developed software, and validated its usefulness by applying into assembly lines of electronic products.

Since aged water treatment facilities could threaten the sustainable water supply, asset management system has been adopted for their systematic management. Level of Service(LoS) is one of critical components of asset management and could be quantified through benchmark index(BMI). Water supplier could estimate consumer’s satisfaction and their performance through BMI to improve the LoS. We developed BMI for water treatment facilities from customer’s satisfaction survey. BMI, represented with the Total Service Score(TSS), was assessed with water quality, water pressure, taste and odor, water rate, and service quality with weighing factors. BMI could, further, be used to assist the analysis of the life cycle cost to increase the unit of LoS.

This study was carried out to compare the textural properties of crab-flavored sausage manufactured with six different formulations. We prepared crab-flavored sausage from Alaska pollack surimi as a control by the washing method, and various mixtures of surimi and chicken breast meat were manufactured (pH 11.0) with 33.33% chicken breast meat (CBM) (T1), 50% CBM (T2), 66.66% CBM (T3), 100% CBM (T4) and 20% commercial mechanically deboned chicken meat (MDCM) (T5). Brittleness, gumminess, chewiness, breaking force, gel strength, jelly strength, sensory flavor. texture, and overall acceptability were significantly lower in the formulations containing chicken meat in proportion to the % CBM (p<0.05). However, cohesiveness and springiness were significantly higher in the formulations containing chicken meat in proportion to the amount of CBM (p<0.05). Folding test and deformation values were significantly lower in the surimi manufactured with CBM at pH 11.0. although T5 showed no significant differences relative to the control. Overall, these results indicate that similar textural properties in the crab-flavored sausage were attained when surimi was prepared with 20% CBM and MDCM.
