다수고객을 서비스하기 위한 설비의 입지선정문제는 현 기업환경 하에 많은 분야에서 광범위하게 응용되고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문은 사전 공개된 입지후보지와 관련비용을 근거로 하여 기업의 입장에서 이윤을 최대화하기 위한 입지선정문제를 다룬다. 고객은 도시공학 분야에서 잘 알려진4개의 도시공간구조 이론에 근거하여 분포시키고, 이러한 고객의 모든 수요를 만족시키면서 용량제약을 갖지 않는 매장의 입지를 선정한다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 각 도시공간형태별로 상이한 고객의 분포형태와 계층별 거주지역의 밀집도가 매장의 입지에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 고객에게 제품을 직접 배송하는 형태의 매장을 가정함으로서 운송비의 변화와 각 모형별 입지와의 민감도를 확인한다. 또한 입지선정문제는 잘 알려진NP-hard 문제임에 따라 합리적인 시간에 근사 최적해를 도출하기 위하여 유전자 알고리즘을 적용하고, 인구가 지속해서 유입되는 상황과 인플레이션이 발생하는 현실 상황을 반영하여 기간의 변화에 따라 고객 수와 각종 비용요소를 확률적으로 변화시켜 도시 형태별로 다 기간에 걸친 최적의 설비 수와 위치를 결정할 수 있는 모델을 제시하였다. Facility location problem is an important subject in many areas of modern business environment. In this paper, we deal with uncapacitated and multi-period facility location problem where the object is a maximization of total profit within predetermined cost. We assume that all demand have to be met. Particularly, we represent various types of customer based on four well-known urban spatial structures to represent a spread of customers. Those are concentric zone model, sector model, multiple nuclei model and star model respectively. We apply to the genetic algorithm to simulate a large scaled problem and develop simulator. We analyze both optimal numbers and locations of facilities for each urban structure. Furthermore, we examine the appropriate time to further expansion of the facilities in the planning horizon. The experimental results show that the developed algorithm can be applied effectively to the facility location problem in the various types of urban area.

Background/Aims: Anti-HCV positivity has been estimated mainly in selected population such as volunteer blood donors or patients with various liver diseases. However, up to date, little has been known about anti-HCV positivity in the general population. Methods: We selected 6,790 adults who visited for health screening at Chonnam National University Hospital. Then, we evaluated anti-HCV positivity and examined the relationship between this positivity and various clinical parameters including HBV markers and geographic area. Results: The positivity of anti-HCV, HBsAg and anti-HBs was 2.1, 6.3 and 62.9%, respectively. Anti-HCV positivity was higher in Chonnam area than in Kwangju area. Especially, anti-HCV positivity was higher in coastal area than in inland area. However, HBsAg positivity had no geographic difference. The positivity of anti-HCV and HBsAg were higher in male than in female. Anti-HCV positivity increased with age, but the positivity of HBsAg and anti-HBs did not increase. The positivity of anti-HCV and HBsAg were higher in people with abnormal ALT level than in people with normal ALT level. Especially, the titer of anti-HCV increased steadily with that of ALT. Conclusions: Anti-HCV positivity was high in Chonnam area (especially, in coastal area), in male, and in old age group. High titer of anti-HCV correlated with high ALT level. The positivity of HBsAg was high in male, but there were no geographic and age-specific variation. (Korean J Gastroenterol 2001;38:177-184)

The risk management is a method to identify and to handle risk factors. In this paper, we introduce a methodology that can be used to measure of system's performance risk by combining system's TPM(technical performance measures) in the R&D(research and development) program for defense acquisition. By applying the suggested procedure, we can monitor risk trends in R&D program by calculation of system's overall TPM and find out where management should target to reduce or remove the system's performance risk.
