Relief of residual stresses in 2024 aluminum alloy bars developed by quenching in hot water (68℃) from a solution treating temperature of about 490℃ has been studied. Various combinations of solution treatment, uphill quench, T-6 and T-4 aging treatments have been examined to find out a optimum relief condition. A new method of uphill quench has been developed, which uses boiling trichloroethylene instead of conventional high pressure vapor. The best result, in which 80% of the residual stress was relieved, has been obtained when solution treated specimen was immediately uphill quenched to boiling trichloroethylene, followed by T-6 aging. Plastic stretching :as a method of stress relief has also been studied.

In this paper we propose the several relational algorithms, which are the select, project, join and aggregation operations, for very large databases on a hypercube muliprocessor architecture in which disk and processor are distributed. Because of this architecture, data redistribution operations are employed to improve the performance of the various database operations. Database processing requires vast I/0 and data-access bandwidth and computational resources. Hypercube multiprocessor systems are very useful for these requirements.

Multimedia database systems contains thousands of hours of video, image, audio, text and graphics that need to be stored, retrieved and presented in a very large multimedia database. Such a system should provide efficient access this information. So we need efficient indexing technique that is essential to allow content-based image databases using similarity-based retrieval to scale to large databases. This paper proposes the hierarchical multi-dimensional indexing technique and clustering segments with index which is partitioned by quantile selection.
A Study on the Contamination of D.I. Water and its Effect on Semiconductor Device Manufacturing

We analyzed the D.I. water used in wet cleaning process of semiconductor device manufacturing both at the D.I. water plant and at the wafer cleaning bath to detect the impurity source of D.I. water contamination. This shows that the quantity of impurity is related to the resistivity of D.I. water, and we found that the cleanliness of the wafer surface processed in D.I. water bath was affected by the degree of the ionic impurity contamination. So we evaluated the cleaning effect as different method for Fe ion, having the best adsoptivity on wafer surface. Moreover the temperature effect of the D.I. water is investigated in case of anion in order to remove the chemical residue after wet process. In addition to the control of D.I. water resistivity, chemical analysis of impurity control in D.I. water should be included and a suitable cleaning an drinsing method needs to be investigated for a high yielding semiconductor device.

1960년대 이후 경영환경의 변화에 따라 가치위주 경영이 새롭게 강조되고 있는데 이를 위한 관리기법으로 경제적 부가가치(EVA)에 의한 성과평가 및 투자결정이 재무 및 회계분야에서 논의되고 있다. 본 연구는 EVA 측정치외 전통적인 회계이익 측정치의 정보내용을 자본시장에 기초하여 실증적으로 비교 분석하였다. 누적초과수익률을 종속변수로 회계이익과 EVA를 독립변수로 하여 다중회귀분석을 통한 EVA의 추가적인 정보내용을 검증하였다. 또한 사건연구를 하였는데 사건일은 개별기업의 감사보고서일로 하였으며, 기업규모에 따라 정보내용에 차이가 있는지도 비교분석하였다. 실증분석결과 EVA의 추가적인 정보효과는 누적기간에 걸쳐 부분적으로 확인되었으며, EPS 등과 같이 EVA도 개별기업이 측정하여 공시할 필요성을 제기하였다.
