임신성고혈압에서 Caspase-related M30 CytoDeath 발현을 이용한 영양막세포고사 연구

Pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) is a multi-system disorder unique to human pregnancy. Although theetiology of PIH is still unknown, there is a large evidence suggesting that abnormal trophoblast invasion is occurring inearly pregnancy and that this may contribute to relative placental hypoxia and oxidative stress that may furtherexacerbate placental pathology. This study was undertaken to determine placental Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase (SOD)and Mn SOD activities and evaluate the use of M30 CytoDeath antibody to assess trophoblasts apoptotic activity innormal and PIH pregnancies. We also compared apoptotic rates as detected by M30 and TdT-mediated dUTP nickendlabelling (TUNEL). Placental expression of Cu/Zn SOD and Mn SOD were reduced in PIH as compared to normalpregnancies. M30 immunoreactivity occurred predominantly in the syncytiotrophoblasts, and a significantly highernumber of M30 positive cells in the preeclamptic placentas were found when compared with normal placentas. Primary Bronchial Granular Cell Tumor in an Adult Male

We report a rare case of granular cell tumor arising in the left lower lobe (LLL) bronchus with secondary obstructive change in a 60-year-old male. The patient was found to have a nodule in the LLL on a computed tomography scan, three months prior to his presentation to the Asan Medical Center. Bronchoscopic biopsies revealed a granular cell tumor. After undergoing LLL lobectomy with bronchoplasty, the patient has not experienced any tumor recurrence.
Naturally Occurring Mediastinal Teratoma with Malignant Transformation in an Adult Male

We report a rare case of rhabdomyosarcoma spontaneously arising in an anterior mediastinal teratoma in a 47-year-old male. The patient was found to have an anterior mediastinal mass on a chest X-ray, which was taken two months before his presentation to Asan Medical Center. A subsequent computed tomography scan revealed an 8.9×7.1×8.0 cm heterogeneous mass in the anterior mediastinum. He underwent an excision via median sternotomy. The histopathologic study identified a mature teratoma with embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma.
홍삼가공품의 Ginsenoside 함량 규격기준 개선방안 연구

Red ginseng is a widely used dietary supplement and medicinal herb, and there are so many forms of ginseng products including tea, extract, capsule and jelly. The purpose of the present study was to propose some amendments on ginsenoside content of red ginseng products in Korea. For this purpose, we analyzed red ginseng products for simultaneous determination of 26 ginsenosides by ultra performance liquid chromatography with diode array detector. Some developmental aspects of Korea’s ginsenoside content standard regulations for red ginseng products are needed to be examined as follows : Firstly, we proposed that four ginsenosides (Rb1, Rg1, Rf and Rg3) would be detected in red ginseng products. Secondly, in case of red ginseng extracts, the sum of Rb1, Rg1 and Rg3 would be 4.0 mg/g. The two proposals are helpful to comprehensive evaluation of quality of red ginseng products. In conclusion,the scientific studies on amendment scheme of ginsenoside content standard regulation of red ginseng product are very important to fortify quality control.
사회인 야구 동호인들의 커뮤니케이션이 응집력 및 운동지속에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study is to pursue good use of leisure through communication between club members who participate in team sports by investigating the effects ocf ommunication of social baseball club members on cohesiveness and exercise persistence. To this end, the study conducted a survey on players who are participating in community baseball in Gyeonggi-do. Questionnairew as used as a research tool which consisted of 4 questions on demographic characteristic, 16 questions on communication, 30 questions on cohesiveness, and 6 questions on exercise persistence. There were 291 copies of valid questionnaire except for 9 copies of incomplete questionnaire or unreliable response. Frequency anaylsis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted based on the final questionnaire. First, according to the result of investigating the effects of communication of baseball club members on cohesiveness, it was identified tha t sub-factors of cohesiveness as interpersonal factor and environmental factor make partially a significant effect on sub-factors of personal social cohesion, group social cohesion, personal task cohesion, and group task cohesion factors. Secondly, for effects of cohesiveness of social baseball club members on exercise adherence, it was identified that only task cohesion and group task cohesion make significant effect on exercise adherence among sub-factors of cohesiveness. Thirdly, for effects of communication of social baseball club members on exercise adherence, environment factors were verified to make significant effect on exercise adherence among sub-factors of communication. To conclude, communication is playing an important role for social baseball club members and team players unite to accomplish common goalsth rough communication. Also, members achieve desired goals through cohesiveness because communication makes great effect on exercise adherence as it increases satisfaction in baseball.
