융합교육(STEAM) 운영 현황 실태 조사 및 미래형 융합교육(STEAM)에 대한 인식 조사

In this study, the current status of implementation of STEAM education was investigated, and the perception of future STEAM education was investigated. A survey was conducted for teachers of the STEAM Teacher Research Group, and frequency analysis and word cloud keyword analysis were performed on the response data. The key findings are as follows. With respect to current status of implementation of STEAM education, first, the reason for implementing STEAM education was teachers' voluntary efforts and the necessity for future talent cultivation for all elementary, middle and high school teachers. Second, the difficulties in implementing STEAM education are heavy workload, adjustment of class hours, difficulties in securing budget, and lack of understanding of STEAM education for elementary schools. For middle schools, the answers are difficulties in curriculum restructuring and collaborating with other teachers, and the lack of program dissemination, while high schools responded to the lack of curriculum reorganization, administrators' understanding and educational expectations. Third, as a learning method for STEAM classes, the student participation type in which students directly solve problems was mainly used, and the student-led type emphasized in future STEAM education was already applied. Regarding the perception of future STEAM education, first, they were well aware of the main contents of future STEAM education, such as nurturing future talent, chemical fusion, student-led, real-life problem solving, and sympathized with the necessity. Second, difficulties related to the implementation of future STEAM education were teacher competency, teacher understanding, culture creation, and realistic burden. Finally, by synthesizing these opinions, the goals for revitalizing future STEAM education are summarized as strengthening teachers' professionalism, forming a consensus, and creating an environment inside and outside the school. As a specific way to achieve this, professional support for teachers, research and selfdevelopment, change of perception, administrative and financial support, and institutional support were suggested.
Pluronic Nanoparticles do not Modulate Immune Responses Mounted by Macrophages

Nanomaterials have been developed for the target delivery of medicine because they show the characteristics of selective emission or controlled release. Although accumulated data suggest the efficacy of these materials for the target delivery, it still remains to be determined whether they modulate immune responses to pathogens or foreign materials. In this study, we examined whether Pluronic nanoparticles (NPs), a type of nanomaterial, alter immune responses mediated by macrophages. When RAW 264.7 cells (RAW cells) were treated with Pluronic NPs in the presence or absence of lipopolysaccharides (LPS), they produced normal levels of nitric oxide (NO). Furthermore,the treatment with Pluronic nanomaterials did not induce cytotoxicity with or without LPS. Further, LPS-stimulated RAW cells expressed comparable levels of proinflammatory cytokine genes, such as interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, with or without treatment by Pluronic NPs. These data suggest that Pluronic NPs do not modulate immune responses mediated by macrophages.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the differences of traumatic experience according to menstrual regularity among North Korean woman refugees in South Korea. Methods: This study used a sample of convenience consisting of 131 women in 5 government resettlement centers throughout South Korea. The traumatic experiences scale for North Korean defectors was used for identifying traumatic experience. Data were collected between June 2012 and December 2012. Data was analyzed using mean, percentage, and t-test. Results: The rate of irregular menstruation was 35.1%. Irregular menstruation group had more traumatic experiences than regular one (t=-1.78, p=.038). Conclusion: This study demonstrates that their reproductive health promotion was necessary regarding menstrual problem. Also, their severe traumatic experiences were considered into healthcare program. 본 연구는 131명의 북한이탈여성을 대상으로 월경 규칙성 문제와 북한 내와 탈북과정에서 겪은 외상경험의 실태를 조사하고, 월경규칙성에 따른 외상경험의 차이를 조사하기 위한 서술적 연구이다. 연구결과 불규칙 월경은 35.1%로 나타났다. 대상자의 외상경험은 북한 내와 탈북과정에서 각각 성학대가 6.9%와 5.3%, 인신 매매가 27.5%와 22.9%, 식량과 물 부족으로 생명의 위협을 느낀 경험이 42.7%와 27.4% 등 인권이 심각하게 유린된 상태였다. 대상자의 월경 규칙성에 따라 외상 경험의 차이를 보였다. 즉 불규칙월경이 있는 대상자에 게서 외상경험정도가 높게 나타났다. 본 연구의 의의는 북한이탈여성의 생식건강을 도모할 수 있는 프로그램의 기초자료를 제공하였다는데 있다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 제언을 하고자 한다. 첫째, 북한이탈여성의 심각한 외상경험을 세심히 고려하며, 월경규칙성의 문제를 감소시키기 위한 생식건강 프로그램을 제안한다. 둘째, 북한이탈여성의 월경 규칙성에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 연구를 제안한 다.
Physiological Functionalities and Anti-oxidant activity of heated radish extract

This study proceeded an experiment that can increase such physiological properties of heated radish extract. During the extraction of radish, including the byproduct, an increase in antioxidant properties of radish according the heating temperature was performed. Upon the extracts of radish bark and radish green extract(mucheong), the physiological functionalities and antioxidant activity were investigated. As a result, the color of radish ethanol extract in dependence of heating temperature, showed light brown color at low heating temperature and black color from 150℃ . The total polyphenol content significantly increased as a result of heat treatment; 6.7 times and 22 times higher than the control at 110℃ and 150℃ , respectively. DPPH radical scavenging ability and antioxidant property increased with increasing heating temperature; in comparison to heat-treated radish at 110℃ and 150℃ , IC50 decreased by 1/22 times. IC50 of the control was 23times higher than 150℃ heat treated radish (Control IC50:130.305). According to the graph that represents ABTS activity, antioxidant activity increased in dependence of heat treatment likewise to the total polyphenol content and DDPH radical scavenging activity. Upon heat treatment at 150℃ , antioxidant activity in consequence of ABTS assay increased 23 times higher than the control.
