General components and detergency of commercial shampoos have been investigated and the results are summerized in the following. Shampoos were analyzed for surfactants and additives by KS method and surfactants were confirmed by T.L.C. Considerable differences in amounts of non volatiles and surfactants were found. Three of them contain either lanoline or sterols as additives and in the three, propylene glycol was found in their liquid part. It was shown that predominant sufactant was anionic and in all, except one, a little ampholytic surfactant was detected. But, contrary to forecast, in only one a little of nonionic surfactant was detected. Detergency of shampoos was examined using artificially soiled wool muslin. Considerable difference was found, and all shampoos showed higher detergency than a synthetic powder type detergent for textiles. There were no significant correlation between detergency and amount of surfactants or suspending power of detergents.

In this paper, a sequential detection scheme is proposed as a combination of a novel weak-signal and a locally optimum(LO) detection schemes. In Part 1, we propose a novel sequential detection scheme for weak signals and show some interesting threshold properties and examples. In Part 2, the performance of the proposed sequential detection scheme is compared with that of the fixed sample size(FSS) test, sequential probability ratio test (SPRT), and truncated sequential probability ratio test(TSPRT). 이 논문에서는 새로운 약신호 검파 기법을 얻어, 그 기법과 국소 최적 검파 기법을 바탕으로 순차 검파 방식을 이끌어낸다. 먼저, 1부에서는 새로운 약신호 검파 기법을 제안하고, 흥미로운 문턱값 성질을 몇가지 밝히며, 여러 가지 잡음 분포에서 문턱값 보기를 다룬다. 한편, 2부에서는 제안한 순차 검파 방식의 성능을 고정 표본 검파 방식, 순차 확률비 검파 방식, 끝을 자른 순차 확률비 검파 방식의 성능과 견주어 본다.
減壓 貯藏中 Tomato果實의 Ribonucleic Acid와 Ribonuclease 活性의 變化

The process of ripening and senescence of tomato fruits has been studied in terms of storage temperature and pressure. Ribonucleic acid(RNA) content, Ribonuclease (RNase) activity, RNase properties and electrophoretic pattern of RNase were investigated during the storage. Total RNA content was decreased during ripening and senescence. The decreasing rate was greater at room temperature (R) than at low temperature (L), and under normal atmospheric pressure (NAP) than under sub-atmospheric pressure (SAP). RNase activity was increased during the period of climacteric rise and in accordance with developing color score. RNase activity was obviously higher at R than L, and under NAP than SAP. Consequently, RNase activity of NAP-R treatment was the highest among the treatments. The optimum temperature and pH of RNase activity were 70℃and pH 6.7, respectively. RNase activity was the most stable at pH 5.0 and retained 50% of its activity when treated at 90℃ for 10min. RNase activity was inhibited by cations and, markedly by zinc. Both treatment of NAP-R and SAP-L showed one band of RNase on gel electrophoresis in the early stage of storage. With the lapse of storage, the number of RNase band increased, showed 3 bands in the 7th day of NAP-R treatment and 2 bands in the 34th day of SAP-L treatment.
중・고등학생들의 태권도 수련만족도가 스포츠 자신감과 사회성에 미치는 영향

This study was conducted aiming to find out the relationship between satisfaction experienced through Taekwondo training and confidence in sports and sociality on the part of middle and high school students with following results. Firstly, satisfaction experienced through Taekwondo training has a positive effect on sports confidence. In other words, psychological satisfaction turned out to have a positive effect on their ability demonstration and physical and mental readiness. Educational satisfaction also has a positive effect on their physical and mental readiness. And physical satisfaction turned out to have a positive effect on their ability demonstration, physical and mental readiness, and social support. Secondly, the satisfaction experienced through training has an effect on their sociality. In other words, educational satisfaction turned out to have a positive (+) influence on their sociality and dominance, and physical satisfaction on their autonomy. Thirdly, confidence in sports has an influences on their sociality. In other words, ability demonstration turned out to have a positive (+) effect on their sociality, dominance and autonomy. All these results taken together, it can be concluded that the satisfaction that middle and high school students experience through Taekwondo training influences their confidence in sports and, in turn, the confidence in sports affects their sociality. 본 연구는 중・고등학생들의 태권도 수련만족도와 스포츠 자신감과 사회성에 어떠한 관계가 있는지를 규명하는 데 목적이 있으며, 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 태권도 수련 만족이 스포츠 자신감에 영향을 미친다. 즉, 심리적 만족이 능력입증과 신체・정신적 준비에 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 교육적 만족이 신체・정신적 준비에 그리고 신체적 만족은 능력입증, 신체・정신적 준비와 사회적 지지에 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 수련 만족이 사회성에 영향을 미친다. 즉, 교육적 만족이 사교성과 지배성에 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 신체적 만족은 자율성에 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 스포츠 자신감이 사회성에 영향을 미친다. 즉, 능력입증은 사교성, 지배성과 자율성에 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 종합해 살펴볼 때, 중・고등학생들의 태권도 수련 만족이 스포츠 자신감에 영향을 미치고, 나아가 스포츠 자신감이 사회성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단할 수 있다.

Phenolic compounds in safflower seeds were recently found to stimulate bone formation and increase plasma HDL cholesterol levels in estrogen deficient rats, and to inhibit melanin synthesis. Nine phenolic compounds: N-feruloylserotonin-5-O-β-D-glucoside, 8'-hydroxyarctigenin-4'-O-β-D-glucoside, luteolin-7-O-β-D-glucoside, N-(p- coumaroyl)serotonin, N-feruloylserotonin, 8'-hydroxy arctigenin (HAG), luteolin (LT), acacetin-7-O-β-D-glucuronide (ATG) and acacetin (AT), were quantified by HPLC in safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) seeds during growth and processing. During growth, levels of the nine phenolic compounds in the seeds increased progressively with increasing growth stages, reached a maximum on July 30 (42nd day after flowering), and then remained relatively constant. During the roasting process, levels of phenolic compounds, except HAG, LT and AT, generally decreased with increased roasting temperature and time, whereas those of HAG, LT and AT increased progressively with increased roasting temperature and time. During the steaming process, levels of other phenolic compounds except HAG and AT generally tended to increase with increased steaming time, whereas those of HAG and AT were scarcely changed. During the microwave treatment, quantitative changes of phenolic compounds were similar to the roasting process, although there were some differences in levels of phenolic compounds between two heat treatments. These results suggest that the steamed safflower seeds after harvesting on late July may be useful as potential dietary supplement source of phenolic compounds for prevention of several pathological disorders, such as atherosclerosis and osteoporosis and aging.
