A Study on the Functionality of Halophytes from Coast area of Jeollanam-do

This study was undertaken to improve the perceived value of halophytes and contribute to the activity of the local economy by analyzing the antioxidant activity and mineral content of Suaeda japonica, Tetragonia tetragonoides, and Spergularia marina that grow wild on the mud flats and coastal areas. The total phenolic compound content found in each order is as follows: Suaeda japonica (3.674∼5.989 mg TAE/g dry wt.), Tetragonia tetragonoides (2.515∼4.471 mg TAE/g dry wt.), and Spergularia marina (2.450∼4.067 mg TAE/g dry wt.); DPPH radical scavenging and ABTS cation radical scavenging activities were also recorded in the same order. In the case of minerals, Iron(Fe) was relatively high in Suaeda japonica (960.1∼1,346.7 mg/kg), Manganese(Mn) in Tetragonia tetragonoides (197.1∼574.8 mg/kg), and Zinc(Zn) was relatively high in Spergularia marina (63.19∼216.56 mg/kg). It was confirmed that the mineral content of Suaeda japonica, Tetragonia tetragonoides, and Spergularia marina was significantly higher than that of Chinese cabbage, lettuce, leek, and spinach.

Effect of Body Condition Score (BCS) on In Vivo Embryo Production and Pregnancy Rate Following Superovulation in Hanwoo

Body condition score (BCS) is a useful management tool for distinguishing differences in nutritional needs of cows in the herd. Although it is not always possible to quantify the nutrient content of the feed supplied to the donor cow, the nutritional status can be determined by the BCS. The objective of this study was to evaluate in vivo embryo production, return to estrous of donor and pregnancy rate of recipients following BCS in Hanwoo superovulation. Sixty nine Hanwoo donor cows were flushed on day 7 of estrus cycle with same FSH and artificial insemination by the same technicians. Embryos were recovered on 7 days after the third insemination by flushing the uterus with Embryo Collection Medium. The results obtained were as follows: No differences were observed in the efficiency of superovulation rates regardless of BCS (≤2.0, 2.5 to 3.0, and ≥3.5). The mean number of total embryos was each 5.20±0.86, 11.56±1.04, and 6.23±1.07. The mean number of transferable embryo from ≤2.0, 2.5 to 3.0, and ≥3.5 of BCS was 2.60±0.87, 7.94±0.89, and 4.75±1.32, respectively (p<0.05). Return to estrous regardless of donor BCS was no difference. The pregnancy rates of recipient were BCS ≤2.0 11.76%, 2.5 to 3.0 40.79%, and ≥3.5 11.11%, following transfer of fresh embryos produced in vivo, respectively. These results indicate that if the Hanwoo with BCS 2.5 to 3.3 are used for donor and recipient, the embryo production and the conception rate will be greater.

태권도선수의 호흡순환능력에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the anaerobic thresold and EPOC(Excess post-exercise Oxygen Consumption) in treadmill exercise of taekwondo players(n=7),and group of controls college students(n=7). The started treadmill exercise with speed of 120m/min and within treadmill 5% slope. Especially the treadmill speed was increased with 20m/min per two minutes and subjects were finally led to exhaustion. The results obtained from this test were as follows: 1. The VO₂max( /min), VO₂ max(kg) showed significantly higher differences taekwondo group than control group in maximum exercise. 2. The ventilation volume showed significant difference taekwondo group than control group in maximum exercise. 3. The anaerobic threshold showed significant difference taekwondo group than control group in maximum exercise. 4. The EPOC showed significant difference taekwondo group than control group in maximum exercise.

부신피질 자극호르몬 단독결핍 1례

부신피질 자극호르몬 단독결핍은 국내에서 7례만이 보고된 희귀 질환이며 병인 및 경과 등 아직 불분명한 측면이 많다. 이는 질환지체의 희귀성도 있지만 치료후 자연경과에 대한 장기적인 추적검사가 이루어진 경우가 드물기 때문이기도 하다. 저자들은 비특이적인 전신증상을 주소로 내원한 폐경기후의 56세 여자 환자에서 자가면역질환의 증거없이 고프로릭틴혈증을 보인 부신피질 자극호르몬 단독결핍 1례를 경험하고 1년간의 부신피질호르몬 대치요법후 추적검사를 실시하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Isolated ACTH deficiency is a rare disorder which shows secondary adrenal insufficiency with normal states of other pituitary hormones. A 56-year-old postmenopausal woman complaining general weakness and intermittent mental confusion presented negligible serum cortisol and ACTH level with hyperprolactinemia and mild hyponatremia. Rapid ACTH stimulation test did not show significant increase of serum cortisol level. Combined pituitary stimulation test showed negligible response of cortisol and ACTH, and slightly decreased response of prolactin and gonadotropin. But the responses of TSH and GH were normal. There was no evidence of organic pituitary of hypothalamic lesion in brain MRI and antithyroid autoantibody was not detected in serum. After receiving 12 months of glucocorticoid replacement therapy, she skipped the medicine for 3 weeks and we performed follow-up endocrinologic tests. Serum ACTH and cortisol level was also negligible and prolonged ACTH simulation test showed normal response of serum cortisol. CRF stimulation test showed no response of serum ACTH. Basal prolactin level was decreased to near normal and combined pituitary stimulation test showed normal response of prolactin with slightly blunted response of TSH and GH. We concluded that the case was nonautoimmune origined isolated ACTH deficiency which was accompanied by hyperprolactinemia and resultant deficiency of gonadotropin, so we report this case with review of literatures.

民間資本의 社會間接資本 投資事業參與에 대한 硏究 : 社會的 割引率 方法을 中心으로

민간자본은 사회간접자본확충을 위한 공공투자사업에 참여시키는 기준으로서 사회적할인율을 적용하는 방법을 제시하기 위해 이론적인 틀을 다루는 것을 주요한 내용으로 삼고 있다. 현재 정부가 수행하고 있는 모든 투자사업이 공공재에 가까운 재화의 공급에서부터 경우에 따라서는 민간재에 가까운 재화를 공급하기 위한 투자사업등 매우 다양한 특성과 광범위한 투자사업들을 구성하고 있다. 단일의 사회적 할인율 대신 정부투자사업의 특성을 고려한 다단계의 사회적 할인율을 적용하는 경우, 공공성이 낮고 시장성이 높은 민간재에 가까운 재화의 공급을 위한 투자사업부터 민간부문에 이양할 수 있는 이론적인 근거를 제공할 수 있게 된다.

흰쥐의 대동맥의 수축반응과 열충격단백질에 대한 비소의 영향

In order to examine if arsenic, one of environmental stresses, contributes to hypertension as one of cardiovas cular pathological factors, this study was performed in vivo and in vitro, using intacted or pithed rats and aorta ring preparation, respectively. And also the relationship between expression of heat shock protein (HSP) 90 and vasoactives-induced contractile response was elucidated. To measure blood pressure, the carotid arterial pressure was recorded on physiograph(Grass Co. 79E) connected to strain gauge. On the other hand, contractile response of vascular ring preparation isolated from rat was determined in organ bath and was recorded on physiograph connected to isometric transducer. And HSP was detacted by Western blotting whole cell lysis. Preganglionic nerve stimulation was increased by 26.0% in arterial pressure of rat treated with arsenic. Vascular contractile response was monitored and HSP were measured by Western blotting of whole lysis prepared from samples exposed with 0, 0.5, 1, 2 and 4 mM of arsenic for 8 hours. The dose-vascular responses of potassium chloride were augmented by increasing dose of arsenic in the strips exposed to arsenic for 8 hours, and were not augmented for 1, 3, 5 hours. And the response of relaxation of rat aorta induced by histamine was not influenced by arsenic stress. The increase of HSP 90 expression in rat aorta was pronounced at 8 hours after 4 mM of arsenic treatment, but HSP 60 expression was not. Arsenic stress not only increased the expression of HSP 90 in the rat aorta, but also augmented contractions to potassium chloride. These results indicated that arsenic stress was sufficient to induce heat shock protein 90, resulting in increased vascular contractility in rat aorta.

금연이 재입원한 정신병 환자의 약물용량에 미치는 영향에 대한 예비 연구

본 연구는 30명의 정신병환자를 대상으로 하여 동일환자에서 일정 간격을 두고 원주기독병원 정신과 병동에 흡연이 허용되던 시기에 입원했을 때와 금연병동 때 재입원했을 때 투약된 항정신병약물 용량과 항정신병약물의 부작용에 따른 benztropine과 propranolol 처방용량을 비교하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1) 평균 입원기간은 금연병동 입원동안은 46.0일로 흡연병동 입원동안의 61.1일과 비교하여 감소되었다. 평균 입원기간은 통계적으로 유의하게 감소되었고(p<0.05). 약 2/3의 환자가2일에서 92일간의 입원기간의 감소가 있었다. 2) Chlorpromazine 등가량으로 환산한 항정신병약물 용량은 흡연병동 입원시기 동안의 395.0mg과 비교하여 금연병동 재입원시기 동안에는 296.8mg으로 통계적으로 유의하게 낮았다(p<.01). 3) 정신분열증 환자(n=13)에게 투약된 benztropine 용량은 금연병동 재입원시기 동안에는 0.56mg으로 흡연병동 입원 동안의 0.14mg과 비교하여 통계적으로 유의하게 용량이 높았다(p<.05). 4) Propranolol 용량은 흡연병동 입원동안과 금연병동 재입원 동안에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 결론적으로, 흡연해온 정신병 환자는 금연함으로써 입원기간의 감소가 있었으며. 항정신병약물 용량이 줄어드는 반면 정신분열중 환자에서는 추체외로계 증상은 증가할 가능성이 있으므로 이에 대한 대비가 있어야 할 것이다. 그러므로 환자의 흡연상태는 항정신병약물의 용량과 부작용에 관한 고려에서 반드시 평가해야 할 중요한 변수중 하나임을 강조하고자 한다. This study was designed to investigate the effect of no-smoking on the pattern of medication for 30 re-admitted psychotic patients in the no-smoking(smoking-prohibited) ward, who had been admitted and medicated previously in the smoking(smoking-allowed) ward, in Wonju Christian Hospital, by comparing daily mean dosage of antipsychotics, benztropine mesylate, and propranolol administered in smoking state and in no-smoking state of the same patients. The results were as fo11ows : 1) The mean hospital stay was reduced to 46.0 days in no-smoking ward compared to 61.1 days in smoking-allowed ward. This means mean admission period was reduced significantly(p<0.05) and over two thirds of all subjects experienced reduction of hospital stay from 2 days to 92 days. 2) A statistically significant difference was found in the dosage of antipsychotics in all subjects. Calculated in terms of chlorpromazine equivalent the daily mean was 296.8 ± 180. 7mg in no-smoking state, and.395.0±232.2mg in smoking state(p <.01). 3) In schizophrenics(n= 13), the daily mean dosage of benztropine mesylate was 0.56±0.62mg in no-smoking state and 0.14±0.21mg in smoking state, showing a significant difference(p <.05). In bipolar group, the mean dosage in no-smoking ward was also smaller than in smoking ward, though not significant. 4) The difference of the daily mean dosage of propranolol between two states was not significant. In conclusion, in no-smoking state psychotic patients required less hospital stays and significantly lower dosage of antipsychotics, and the schizophrenics required significantly higher dosage of benztropine mesylate for extrapyramidal symptoms. The authors suggest that psychiatric patients should be encouraged to stop smoking and recommend that psychiatrists monitor smoking state of their psychotic patients for proper and efficient drug therapy.

타원편광해석법에 의한 MOCVD-Nb₂O5 박막의 성장과정과 내식특성에 관한 연구

Nb(OC₂H?)?를 원료로 하여 AP-MOCVD에 의한 N₂O?박막의 성장과정을 기판온도, carrier gas유량, 원료온도, 반응 O₂gas의 함수로 in-situ Ellipsometry에 의해서 조사하였다. 실험결과 얻어진 Δ-Ψ곡선은 투명균질막의 이론적 Δ-Ψ곡선에 잘 일치하였으며 성장과정은 473∼673K의 저온영역에서는 1단계적 직선 성장거동을 나타내었고 673∼753K의 고온영역에서는 2단계의 직선적 성장거동을 나타내었다. 석출된 박막의 밀도를 의미하는 굴절율은 기판온도 673K까지는 증가하나 그 이상의 온도에서는 감소하기 시작했다. 그리고 산소를 첨가하지 않았을 경우는 723K에서 석출된 박막이 가장 뛰어난 내식성을 나타내었는데 이것은 이 온도에서부터 석출박막이 δ-Nb₂O?로 결정화하기 때문이라 사려된다. By the Nb(OC₂H?)? source, Growth process of Nb₂O? films formed by AP-MOCVD has been examined by in-situ Ellipsometry as a function of the substrate temperature, carrier gas flow rate, source temperature and reactant O₂gas flow rate, Δ-Ψcurve obtained in experimental results corresponded to the theorical Δ-Ψcurve of transparant homogenious film, and showed a rectilineal growth behaviour of the one stage at a low temperature range of 473∼673K and indicated a rectilineal growth behaviour of the two stage at the high temperature of 673∼753K. A refractive index meaning density of the deposited film increased until 673K of the substrate temperature but decreased above 673K. In the absence of oxygen, The thin film deposited at 723K showed the most excellent corrosion resistance, because the deposited film was crystallized into the δ-Nb₂O? above 723K.

This study aimed first to correctly understand informationalization of distribution, that is POS System, EDI, EOS, and distributing VAN, second to observe the present condition and preceeding examples of construction of informationalization of distribution in our country and to execute analysis of corroborative evidence regarding informationalization of distribution centered on distributing companies in Pusan and Taegu districts, third to grasp the impeding primary factors when informationalization is built up, and fourth to present effective building up lans of informationalization of distribution in Pusan and Taegu districts which will be the foundation of informationalization of distribution in the distributing business circles. The writer studied, for the method of study, by dividing into theoretical study, research portion of the present condition and preceeding examples of building up informationalization of distribution, and analysis of corroborative evidence. For the theoretical study portion and analysis examples, the study method by documentary records was applied, and domestic and foreign books, theses and periodicals related to the informationalization of distribution were consulted. For the analysis of corroborative evidence, the writer studied by questionaires regarding opening of distributing markets, distriubuting environment and distributing information system of the distributing market by the retail dealers as its objects, and selected research by questionaires to collect information by personally visiting each company. About 15 universities and junior colleges related to the distributing industry in our country produce about 1,280 of fundamental manpower related to distrribution every year, and a portion of large-sized distributing companies established and are managing even inter-company colleges, but it is the real situation that these are not sufficient in quality and quantity. In order to cultivate manpower specialized in distribution, the industry, universities and government, forming a trinity, should cope with the matter jointly, and especially, the government level should newly establish subjects of study related to the distribution drastically and political and financial support should be necessarily followed. Also, if POS system is induced, as the source of tax revenue is completely exposed, compared with those companies which do not induce POS System, they will suffer disadvantage, so preferential treating method is necessary in case of application of valued added tax or income standard. The customary practice of dealing without data harmful to normal commercial transaction order and against equity is pointed out as the most fundamental problem point being held by the distributing business circle in our country. For the sake of effective building up the distributing information system, the source making rate shall be raised, the ratio of domestic made instruments of POS System shall be increased, by developing EOS System which can be connected with manufacturing companies, POS System shall be utilized effectively by connecting with the management information system of the whole enterprises, EIS (Executive Information System) and various data base, and shall be connected with EOS with other components of distributing channel and EOS and EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) system shall be connected through EDI or VAN. Such distributing information system can accomplish composite distribution information systematization, so it can promote greatly the management power not only of distributing business but manufacturing business.
