      • Morphine의 血漿 Corticosterone 增加作用에 미치는 副交感神經系藥物의 影響

        Buckingham suggested that the effects of opioid substances on CRF secretion are probably due partially to direct actions on the hypothatamus and partially to alterations in the activity of cholinergic and noradrenergic neurons in the central nervous system. In this paper, the influences of cholinergic and anticholinergic drugs on the morphine-induced increase of plasma corticotserone level was studied in male mice. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. The dose-dependent increasing effect of morphine on plasma corticosterone was significantly inhibited by naloxone. 2. Pilocarpine (0.1-2.0㎎/㎏), physostigmine(10-200㎍/㎏), carbachol(10-200㎍/), and nicotine(0.1-2.0㎎/㎏) induced the dose-dependent increase of plasma corticosterone level. Particularly, the increasing effect of physostigmine and carbachol was marked. 3. The increasing effect of morphine on plasma corticosterone was markedly enhanced by pilocarpine, physostigmine or carbachol and was slightly enhanced by nicotine. The combined effect of morphine with pilocarpine or nicotine showed a tendency to be strengthened by atropine. But the combined effect of morphine and physostigmine was little changed by atropine and the combined effect of morphine and carbachol was inclined to be decreased by atropine. 4. Atropine(1.0㎎/㎏)and hexamethonium(10㎎/㎏)induced the marked increase of plasma corticosterone level. But by the combined treatment of them, the plasma corticosterone level showed the initial marked increase followed by the abrupt decrease downward to the control level. The increase induced by the combined treatment of atropine or hexamethonium with morphine was rather lower than that induced by a single treatment of atropine or hexamethonium. These results suggest that the increasing effect of morphine on plasma corticosterone level is mediated rather by its direct action on hypothalamus and its indirect action on central noncholiergic neurones than by its action on central cholinergic neuronal function.

        If electron density ρ(xyz) in a single crystal is known, structure factor F(hkl) can be calculated and, on the contrary, electron density map can be drawn if the structure factor including its phase is known. Therefore the functions ρ(xyz) and F(hkl) are said to be Fourier transforms of each other.

      • 방사선치료 조사영역 내에 발생한 설암 환자에서 입체조형방사선치료 경험 : 증례보고

        Objectives : We report an interim result of conformal radiotherapy in a patient with early stage cancer at the base of the tongue, which developed in a previously irradiated area. Materials and Methods : A 64-year-old male patient was diagnosed with T4NOMO supraglottic cancer. He received 72Gy of radiation therapy from 21 November 1988 to 24 February 1989. He had local failure and underwent a salvage total laryngectomy on 28 August 1989. Subsequently, he did well. In early 1999, he suffered from throat pain. He had a 2.5cm ulcerative mass at the base of his tongue, in the area that had been irradiated previously. Biopsy showed squamous cell carcinoma. After workup, he was diagnosed with base of tongue cancer with T2NOMO. Surgery was not feasible because the morbidity was not acceptable. Since it was difficult to re-irradiate the area with a curable dose using conventional 2D radiation therapy with an acceptable morbidity, we decided to try conformal radiotherapy. We used 7 static beam ports with field sizes from 7×6.4 to 8×8㎠, using 6 and 10MV photons. The fractionation regimen was 1.8Gy, 5 times per week. He received 64.8Gy in 36 fractions from 9 April 1999 to 1 June 1999. Results : In the 21 months since radiotherapy, the patient has not experienced any acute or chronic complications, such as xerostomia. He experienced relief of pain shortly after the start of radiotherapy, showed a complete response, and is still doing well. Conclusion : Conformal radiotherapy can be used to treat cancer that develops within a previously irradiated field, with curative intent.

        This research is based on the transits of bus movement in the residence area around the center of Pohang city to estimate the future bus traffic volumes individual transits of each area that is those of living area, non living area, the number of students, and workers are investigated, 22 out of 25 zones, which intend to be more residential are selectedby the motheds of cluster analysis, stepwise regression and multi regression, in order to find out the relation between the bus traffic volume and the individual transit the analysis of the relation, which put the value of the zone transit on the formula as a variable, can formulate its influence on the bus traffic volume. if this analysis is applied to the future residential development area if will contribute to calculation of the number of bus users and the decision of allocation interval of buses and the number of bus lines

      • 방사선 조사에 의한 phospholipase D 활성화 연구

        Activation of oleate-dependent phospholipase D (PLD) isozyme by irradiation was reported previously. However, the effects of irradiation on other PLD isotypes (PLD1 and PLD2) have not been studied. There are several kinds of PLD isozymes in a cell. Therefore, it is difficult to study PLD isotype-specific activation in a cell by irradiation. We tested which isotype of PLD responds to irradiation. We used the fibroblasts cell lines overexpressing PLDl or PLD2 by introducing recombinant PLD1 or PLD2 cDNA. Phospholipids in cells were labelled with [(3)^H] myristic acid. Before irradiation, l-butanol was added. After irradiation with doses of 1, 2, and 10 Gray, we measured the formed phosphatidylbutanol containing [(3)^H] myristic acid. The overexpressed PLD isotypes were functional in those cell lines. PLD2 activity was enhanced by irradiation when we compared the PLD activations between control and PLD1 or PLD2 overexpressing cells. However PLD1 was not activated by irradiation. PLD2 isozyme, but not PLD1, was activated by irradiation. One Gray irradiation showed the maximal effect on PLD2 activation. The activation mechanism and physiological significance of PLD2 activation by irradiation remain to be uncovered.

      • Ni-Cr계 내열주강의 천이액상접합에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 MBF-50 삽입금속을 이용한 Ni-Cr주강(HP)의 천이액상접합시의 접합계면의 거동에 대해서 조사하였다. 접합은 진공분위기에서 1100℃∼1200℃의 온도 범위로 0∼60분 동안 행해졌으며 접합압력은 1MPa였다. 본 실험에서 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 1150℃에서 접합한 결과 반응층 내에는 Cr계 탄화물의 생성을 확인할 수 있었다. 2) 유지시간의 증가와 함께 등온응고는 매우 빠르게 일어나 20분 이내에 반응층이 거의 소멸되었으며 성분원소의 균일화도 거의 이루어진 상태였다. 3) 등온응고가 일어나기 이전의 접합부의 경도는 모재에 비해 높게 나타났으나, 유지시간이 증가하면서 균일화와 함께 반응층의 경도는 모재와 같게 나타났다. 4) 접합계면부의 각도를 달리하여 접합한 시편의 creep 특성을 조사한 결과 접합계면각도가 작을수록 creep 특성이 우수하게 나타났다. Transient liquid phase(TLP) bonding of Ni-Cr heat resisted casting alloy(HP) was investigated using of the insert metal MBF-50. TLP-bonding was carried out at 1100℃∼1200℃ for 0∼60min in vacuum atmosphere and bonding pressure was 1MPa. The results of this study are, 1) Microconstituents such as Cr-carbide were formed in the bonded interlayer. 2) Isothermal solidification process was very fast at the bonding temperature of 1150℃ with increasing bonding time, the reaction layer disappeared and homogenization was almost over at the bonding time of 20min. 3) The hardness of reaction layer was higher than that of base metal before isothermal solidification, as time increased the hardness was almost same as that of base metal with homogenization of chemical composition. 4) In case of sample with different bonding interface angle, the smaller bonding interface angle, the better creep property.

      • 진행암 환자에서 Cisplatin 병용화학요법 시 Ondansetron의 오심 구토 조절 효과

        Ondansetron is a novel agent that selectively binds to the 5-hydroxytryptamine_3 receptor, and has been reported to have a prominent effect in the prevention of anti-neoplastic agent induced nausea and vomiting. Twenty solid tumor patients who were scheduled to receive cisplatin containing combination chemotherapy participated in a prospectively open-labeled study to evaluate the antiernetic efficacy and safety of ondansetron. The male to female ratio was 11 : 9 and median age was 49(16-70). The sites of primary neoplasms and number of patients were as following : head and neck 4, metastatic carcinoma of unknown primary site 3, stomach 3, osteosarcoma 2, ovary 2, esophagus 1, melanoma 1, penile 1, bladder 1, cervix 1, and extragonadal germ cell 1. Ondansetron was given as an 8mg loading dose IV before chemotherapy followed by 8mg IV every 8 hours until 24 hours after chemotherapy completion. Complete or major control(0 to 2 emetic episodes) of emesis was achieved in 17 of 20 patients(85%;complete 50%, major 35%) receiving ondansetron during the first 24hrs of chemotherapy. During the period of day 2 through clay 5 of chemotherapy, 14 of 20(75%) patients had complete or major control of emesis(complete 35%, major 35%). No severe side reactions were recorded in ondansetron treated patients, while mild to moderate headache was noted in 20% of patients. These results show that ondansetron is effective in the control of cisplatin induced nausea and emesis, and can be administered safely with minimal side effects.
