Stenosis of central vein is a common complication arising after percutaneous subclavian vein catheter insertion performed for temporary vascular access in chronic renal failure patients undergoing hemodialysis. There are several treatment methods for the condition like percutaneous angioplasty(PTA), stent insertion, and surgery, but recent trend is toward PTA and stents. Among the patients diagnosed with chronic renal failure from March 1993 to May 2002 and undergoing hemodialysis through AV fistula, the 14 Patients in whom central vein stenosis arose were selected for the study. A total of 28 percutaneous interventions(5 PTA and 23 stent placement) were performed, and restenosis rate and the time taken till the restenosis in de novo lesions and instant lesions were compared. All 28 cases were operated successfully. The 14 cases that received both anigioplasty and stent placement initially. (de novo lesion : 14 cases), Among the 10 cases with de novo lesion that followed up more than 1 year, 3 cases are currently undergoing hemodialysis without restenosis, and the remaining 7 cases have recurred stenosis with the mean time to restenosis of 10.9 months. In the 7 cases in whom stenosis recurred, 11 interventions were done(instent lesion: 11 cases). 4 of these were using only ballon angioplasty with 100% restenosis rate and the mean time of 3 months until restenosis. The remaining 7 cases were using both balloon angioplasty and stent placement, also with 100% restenosis rate but with the mean time of 12 months until restenosis, which was later than the group receiving only balloon angioplasty. In treating the patients with central vein stenosis, stent placement seems to be more advantageous over PTA in terms of restenosis rate and the mean duration of patency. In the case of instent lesion, inserting the stent for the second time after stenosis recurred lengthened the duration of patency compared to performing balloon angioplasty alone.

During the investigation of Korean indigenous fungi from Seoul, three genera-Fuscoporia, Porostereum, and Trametopsis, and four species-Fuscoporia senex, Phlebia acerina, Porostereum spadiceum, and Trametopsis cervina were found. Their morphological characteristics were examined and their identification was confirmed by molecular analysis based on internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and nuclear large subunit ribosomal DNA region sequences. These fungi are new to Korea and registered here with descriptions.
Electrochemical Properties of Ionic Conjugated Polymer with Azobenzene Moieties

<P> The electrochemical and electrooptical properties of an ionic conjugated polymer, poly[2-ethynyl-N-(p-cyanophenylazophenyl)oxyhexylpyridinium bromide] (PCEPB) were studied. The cyclovoltamograms of this polymer exhibited the irreversible electrochemical behaviors between the doping and undoping peaks. The oxidation current density of PEPB versus the scan rate is approximately linear relationship in the range of 30 mV/sec ∼ 120 mV/sec. The exponent of scan rate, x value of PEPB, is found to be 0.6. The absorption spectrum starts around 800 nm and shows a strong absorption band at visible region due to the π → π*interband transition of the polymer backbone, which is a characteristic peak of the conjugated polyene backbone system. The photoluminescence spectrum showed that the PL peak is located at 542 nm corresponding to the photon energy of 2.29 eV.</P>

<P> Poly(phenylacetylene)[Poly(PA)] was prepared by the polymerization of phenylacetylene with the catalyst of (NBD)PdCl2. The instrumental analysis data on the polymer structure revealed that the poly(PA) have the conjugated polyene backbone structure with phenyl substituents. The band gap energy of poly(PA) was estimated to be 2.51 eV and the photoluminescence spectra of poly(PA) showed that the photoluminescence peak is located at 439 nm, corresponding to a photon energy of 2.82 eV. The cyclovoltamograms of poly(PA) exhibited that the irreversible oxidation and reduction were occurred at 0.38 V and -0.93 V, respectively (vs Ag/AgNO3). The redox current value gradually increased as the scan rate increased.</P>

대규모 사업비가 소요되는 U-City 사업의 특성상 객관적인 사업성 평가는 매우 중요하다. 사업성 평가를 위해 일반적으로 사용되는 산업연관분석을 U-City에 적용하기 위해서는 우선적으로 U-City 산업에 대한 적절한 분류가 선행되어야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 법률에서 규정된 정의를 중심으로 U-City 산업을 분류함으로써 U-City 산업 분류에 대한 객관적이고 적절한 대안을 모색해보고자 한다. 이 분류안은 다양한 U-City 사업의 장기적 산업파급효과 측정을 위한 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

외국어 능력이 현대 사회에서 요구하는 필수적인 요소 중에 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 외국어 능력을 평가하는 능력 시험이 아닌 언어심리학적 관점으로 외국어 능력을 평가하는 방법을 제안한다. 외국어를 처리하는데 있어서 외국어를 모국어를 바꾸는 언어인지 과정이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 언어 인지 능력을 측정하는 Reading LDT, Listening LDT, Verbal Span, Yes-No task(Semantic), Same-Different task실험을 제안한다. 해당 과제들은 각각 피험자의 읽기, 듣기, 기억, 의미적 결정, 변환 능력을 측정하는 과제이다.
컴퓨터활용교육 : 소셜 러닝 플랫폼에서의 학습자 활동 데이터 분석

본고에서는 다양한 웹 기반의 학습 시스템에서 학습자들에게 효과적이고 효율적인 학습을 제공해주기 위해 학습자들의 데이터를 분석하는 것에 대한 중요성과 필요성에 대해서 설명한다. 그리고 우리 연구팀이 자체적으로 개발한 소셜 러닝 플랫폼인 Colla에 대한 간략한 소개와 기능설명을 하였다. Colla에서 수집한 데이터를 분석하여 시스템에서 학습자들이 가장 많이 사용한 시간, 그 시간 대역에서 가장 많이 나타난 행동, 날짜에 따른 학습자들의 행동 유형 패턴, 학습자들의 프로파일 사진 변경 여부에 따른 학습자 그룹에서 나타난 행동 차이를 찾아냈다. 분서 결과는 학습자들에 대해서 이해하고 서비스를 개선하는 정보로 사용된다.

본 논문에서는 분산되어 있는 콘텐츠 공유 환경에서 사용자들의 콘텐츠 선택 정보를 활용하여 HMM 기반의 학습 코스 자동 생성 모델을 제안하였다. 본 연구에서는 교육 정보를 포함하고 있는 콘텐츠의 질이 사용자의 콘텐츠 선택을 반영한다고 가정한다. 또한 사용자의 콘텐츠 선택 순서에 대한 정보는 콘텐츠의 지식정보를 습득하기 위한 학습 순서 정보를 반영한다고 가정한다. 이러한 가정에 따라서 HMM모델에 적용하여 해당 도메인을 대표할 수 있는 모델을 제안하였다.

<P>The activated polymerization of 2-ethynylpyridine by using 2-thiophenecarbonyl chloride yielded the corresponding conjugated ionic polymer, poly[2-ethynyl-N-(2-thiophenecarbonyl)pyridinium chloride] (PETCPC). The polymerization proceeded well to give high yield of polymer without any additional initiator or catalyst. The instrumental analysis data on polymer structure indicated that the present ionic polymer have a conjugated polymer backbone system having N-(2-thiophenecarbonyl)pyridinium chloride as substituents. The photoluminescence maximum peak of PETCPC was located at 573 nm, which corresponds to the photon energy of 2.16 eV. The aromatic functional substituents in the conjugated backbone system shift PL maximum values because it makes different molecule arrangement. The cyclovoltamograms of PETCPC exhibited the electrochemically stable window at −1.24 to 1.80 V region. It was found that the kinetics of the redox process of polymer might be controlled by the reactant diffusion process from the experiment of the oxidation current density of polymer versus the scan rate. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
