        Electrical resistance tomograpy(ERT) maps resistivity values of the soil subspace and characterizes buried objects. The characterization includes location, size, and resistivity of buried objects. In this paper, we have made numerical experiments to compare the performance of the Wenner, Schlumberger, pole-pole, and dipole-dipole electrode arrays for two-dimensional resistivity measurement in ERT. In general, the SNR(signal to noise ratio) of resistivity measurement is directly to the measurement voltage level. The pole-pole and Wenner arrays can give the highest signal level. Results of numerical experiments in ERT solved by four electrode array types are presented and compared using Gauss-Newton inversion algorithm.

      • Co^60-r선 조사에 따른 이축연신 폴리프로필렌 필름의 열자격전류 특성 변화

        In order to investigate the Co^60-γ ray irradiation effects on the thermally stimulated current(TSC) characteristics of the biaxially-oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films, TSCs on the 15㎛ thick BOPP films before and after irradiation were observed in the temterature range of -120∼120℃ and at the forming electric field of 10, 30 and 60MV/m. Two distinguished peeaks such as β peak and α peak, the former was regarded as the depolarization process of dipoles on a amorphous region and the latter was attributed the thermally excited detrapping process of the trapped ions on a crystaline region in BOPP, were observed in the TSC spectra. From the observed results, the physical properties of γ-ray irradiated BOPP that are activation energy and relaxation time of charged particles, moment of dipole and forming field dependencies on TSC characteristics were analyzed and discussed.

      • 건설현장의 GPR 탐사 활용 사례 분석

        최근의 국내 건설 현장은 토목 구조물의 대형화와 더불어 지하화가 급속히 진행되고 있다. 이러한 대형 토목구조물의 성공적인 수행을 위해서는 안전하고 정확한 지반조사가 절실히 요구된다. 그러나 기존의 지반조사 방법으로는 보다 더 정확한 지반조사는 물론 지반 굴착시 주의해야 할 다양한 종류의 지하매설물을 정확히 탐지하는데는 한계가 있다. 뿐만아니라, 정확한 사전조사 없이 굴착 또는 시공을 실시함으로 인하여 종종 지하매설물의 파손이나 대형 사고를 유발시키기도 한다. 이러한 이유로 최근에는 지반조사와 더불어 지하매설물을 보다 더 정확히 탐지하면서, 착공전부터 구조물 축조 후의 안전진단까지 병행할 수 있는 비파괴조사(Non Destructive Test, NDT) 기술이 국내 건설 현장에 많이 이용되고 있다. 따라서 본 사례연구에서는 최근에 국내에서 많이 사용하고 있는 NDT 기법 중의 하나인 GR 탐사법과 Pipe Locator 탐사법을 소개하고 건설 현장에서 실시한 결과를 사례별로 분석 검토하였다. In present, civil engineering structures are getting rapidly larger and deeper in domestic construction fields. Due to this reasons, safe and accurate site investigations are urgently requested for underground excavations. Howerever, conventional method of site investigation has been limited to probe various underground utilities. Therefore, Non Destructive Test (NDT) is popularly applied not only in geologic site investigation but also in diagnosis of constructing structures due to its ability to investigate without any hurts to the tested structures. This case study introduces a GPR method and a Pipe Locator methods among NDT techniques and analyzes results obtained from them in domestic construction fields.

      • 이중면 불연속 구형 도파관의 특성 해석

        Double-plane steps discontinuity in rectangular waveguide is investigated with ?? mode analysis. This method accounts for the influence of evanescent fields and power transmission due to higher order modes. For these discontinuites the electromagnetic fields are derived and the scattering matrix is derived by applying the continuous condition in discontinuity. The scattering coefficients of a X-band to Ku-band waveguide transition as well as of resonant iris with finite thickness(t=2.0㎜) are calculated and compared with Patzelt's result. The scattering coefficients of the resonant iris(a=7.112㎜, b=3.556㎜, a₁=4.0㎜, b₁=1.0㎜, t=0.5㎜) are calculated and compared with Bornemann's results.

      • 유전알고리즘을 사용한 대지의 다층구조 분석

        In this paper, a methodology has been proposed according to which, after carrying out a set of soil's resistivity measurements, one can compute the parameters of the multilayer earth structure using a genetic algorithm(GA). The results provided by the GA constitute the indispensable data that can be used in circuital or field simulations of grounding systems. The methodology allows to proceed toward a very efficient simulation of the grounding system and an accurate calculation of potential on the ground's surface.

      • 경유양동상미로접근법에 의한 안면신경감압술 16례

        With increase of traffic accidents, the otologic problems including facial palsy with skull fracture are more concerned. This paper is report our experiences with 16 cases of traumatic facial nerve palsy which have been employed transmastoid supralabyrinthine facial nerve decompression during last four years. The results are as follows: 1. Of the 16 patients, 13 patients(81.3%) were men and 3 patients (18.8%) were women. And sex ratio was 1.4:1 (male predominent). 2. In fracture type, longitudinal fracture was 10 cases (62.5%), transverse fracture was 1 case(6.3%) and mixed fracture was 2 cases(12.5%). 3. Cerebral contusion was combined in 8 cases(50%) and facial bone fracture was combined in 6 cases(37.55). Because of these combined lesions, otologic diagnoses and treatment was delayed. 4. The most common physical finding on clinical examination were a bloody otorrhea(75%) and hearing impairment(75%). 5. In frequency of lesion in facial nerve, tympanic segment(35.7%) was the most common site, followed by geniculate ganglion(14.3%). Suggested mechanisms in facial palsy were nerve compression(57.1%), granulation tissue and congestion. 6. There were improvment of House-Brackmann grades in 13 cases after decompression. 7. Incudostapedial separation was found in 4 cases and incus fracture was found in 2 cases. Hearing improvement was found in 3 cases being ossiculoplasty.

        산계령 일대의 분수계와 지형 경관 분석

        This work concerns with the drainage patterns in the karst region and aims to establish the divide line between two tributaries where stream piracy and the limestone solution are now recognized as greatly active. The divide is delineated from (1) the analysis of lineament on the landform, (2) the analysis of rock bedding, jointing and fractures, and (3) the linear pattern analysis and mapping of karst geomorphic elements like dolines and cockpits in the field survey and from the previous studies. Both the overland flow and the ground water flow are connected as the drainage system of the karst region. Assuming the water flows on to the sea-level, the main divide of mountain system can be drawn from the geomorphic divide and the phreatic divide concepts. The drainage patterns of the ground water are reflective of the fractures and strata of the rocks and the structural arrangements. The linearly distributed geomorphic elements of the karst region like sinkholes, dolines, cockpits can be viewed as the linear drainage patterns of the ground water. In San-Gae-Ryung karst region of the mid of Tae-Baek mountain system in Korea, the main geomorphic divide line differs from the administrative boundary line which defines the boundaries of ecoregions of the slip-face intermontane region to the east and the high flat region to the west. The geomorphic divide of the San-Gae-Ryung region is actually located to the south of the administrative boundaries according to the divide by connecting the highest points of the mountain system. The ground water of the independent karst drainage is considered to flow northward into the tributary of Joo-Soo river toward the East Sea. The movement of the geomorphic divide will happen in the future because the headward erosion of the tributary of Im-Gae river, one of tributaries of Han river, acts primarily on the deeply weathered southern slope of the main divide line. But the solution or collapse events of limestones under the northern divide of the independent drainages may offset the drainage direction change of main ground water flow by the headward erosion on the southern divide line and will keep the divide of the San-Gae-Ryung region. More quantitative analyses of solution rates and headward erosion rates on the slopes are needed to estimate the development of the divide in the future.

        Received field strength in land mobile-radio communication must consider characteristics besides. This paper analysis propagation chracterics to multipath and then compute theoretical value of field strength which vectorial compose and compared with measured value. Seorm base station is to unity south area of Cheju by single propagation area. But Gunwelak base station cause a weak and impossible received field area to increase obstruction. In order to replace it, we necessary technique study of new mobile communication propagation environment. For take a accuracy received field strength, the first thing field strength of a point must measure many times and calculate mean value of it. The second we must suggest and analytical modeling to compose to these measured values.

      • 백모동에 의한 IgE 생성의 증가

        We determined for IgE in serum based on the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) in vivo after intraperitoneal injection of Solanum lyratum extract for 14 days. The experiment showed as well whole spleen cells that Solanum lyratum extract enhanced IgE production in vivo. Solanum lyratum extract significantly facilitated the production of IgE by LPS-stimulated murine spleen cells. Solanum lyratum THUNB. also enhanced IgE production from mouse whole spleen cells. Lypopolysaccharide(LPS) stimulated IgE production was enhanced 1.4-fold to 2.7-fold by the addition of Solanum lyratum extract over a period of 7 days.
