      • 현대건축에 나타난 생태적 디자인의 경향과 방법론에 관한 연구

        환경패러다임이 주요이슈로 부각되어지고 있는 현실에서, 현대건축과 실내디자인에 있어 생태적 디자인이 요구되고 있다. 21세기 급변하는 사회 속에서 환경 친화적 가치추구는 더 이상 전문가의 영역이 아닌 일반적 인식의 저변확대와 인간환경과 관련된 전 분야의 적용으로 나아가고 있다. 이러한 환경 패러다임으로부터 오는 변화를 받아들여 디자이너가 생태적 실내환경의 가치향상을 의식적으로 추구함으로서, 삶의 품질과 가치 향상에 대한 욕구를 충족시켜주고 차별화 된 메시지를 가진 생태디자인의 필요성도 증가 될 것이다. 따라서 디자이너가 생태적 지식들을 건축에 적용시키기에 앞서 생태디자인의 최근 이슈들과 현대건축가들의 경향과 방법론을 이해하는 것이 필요하다고 본다. 이에 본 연구는 생태적 공간을 디자인하기 위한 방법론의 경향과 이슈들을 연구하고자 한다. 본 연구의 의의는 환경 친화적 경향의 영향을 받은 생태건축을 실내외 디자인에서 실천하기 위한 방법론의 변화과정을 살펴보고, 이러한 이해를 바탕으로 21세기의 디자이너가 의사결정 단계에서 이를 실천 할 수 있는 방법을 모색하여 디자인 과정에서의 대안으로 도출이 이루어 질 수 있도록 하는데 있다. As the environmental paradigm is the major issue today, the guideline of the ecological design in the contemporary architecture and design is needed. Pursuing of the environmentally friendly value in this 21st century’s ever-changing society is no longer limited to the professional field. It is rather belong to the overall realm of human environments and their related areas. Therefor the changes, which is coming from the environmental paradigm, should be accepted by the designers. The designers should intentionally pursue the increased value of the ecological interior environments in order to satisfy the needs for the better quality and value of life. Thereby the needs for the eco-design with its distinctive messages would be increased. In this matter, prior to apply the ecological knowledge into the architecture as a designer, the understanding of the current issues of eco-design and the trendy methods of contemporary architects is required. In this paper, the issues & trendy methods to design the ecological space are studied. The significance of this study would be achieved from the understanding of these changing methodology of ecological architecture and their application by the 21st century designers in their design process of interior and exterior spaces.

        가스크로마토그래피를 이용한 요중 마뇨산 측정시 새로운 시료 전처리 방법의 검증

        Urinary hippuric acid was analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry method. A simple and economical derivatization procedure using excessive methanol in acidic condition was adopted to esterify hippuric acid. Quantitative analysis was performed with two internal standards, heptadecanoic acid and hydrocinnamic acid, to evaluate the derivatization procedure as an analytical method. Using the standard addition method, linear and reproducible calibration curves were obtained for both internal standards. Calibration experiment showed that good quantitative result could also be obtained with the calibration curve obtained without urine matrix. Recovery rates for the urine samples were in the range of 95.6∼111.4%. Using hydrocinnamic acid as internal standard, analysis time could be reduced.

      • 식이 중 인동초를 섭취한 당뇨유발 흰쥐의 혈당 및 지질대사

        The purpose of this study was to invesgate the effect of L. japonica tumbo(P) on blood glucose level and lipid metabolism in streptozotocin(STZ) induced diabetic rats. Male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing(180~200g)were divided into four groups: control(C), STZ-control(CD), and two experimental groups(P and PD). Diabetes mellitus were induced by single injection of the streptozotocin at tue dose of 60mg/kg B.W. The experimental groups were fed a AIN-76 recomendation diet mixed with the P powder(5%/kg diet). The diet and water were intake determined everyday. The blood glucose level was determined everyweek, and the serum cholesterol was determined every two weeks. After 5 weeks, the rats sacrificed and the blood glucose, serum cholesterol. triglyceride, HDL-cholesterol concentrations were determined. LDL-cholesterol concentrations was calculated by eqation. Diabetic rats showed the lower weight gain compared to the normal rats. The serum glucose level of PD was not lower than C group. However, the serum cholesterol, triglyceride and HDL-cholesterol level of CDI and PD group were heigher than C group. Diabetic rats showed that the hepartic glutathione reductase(GR) was sighificantly heigher than C group, but malondialdehyde level was significantly decreased. P supplymentation was reduced the hepartic malondialdehyde(MDA) level. The glutathione reductase(GR) and HDL-cholestrol level were increased in the diabetic experimental groups compared C group. In comculusion, showing the possibility of preventive and therpeutic use of the wild edible plant(Indong- Cho) to the diabetes mellitus.

        자색고구마가 사염화탄소 투여에 의한 흰쥐의 간손상 보호에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of dietary purple sweet potato(lpomoea batatas) powder on serum lipid levels and antioxidative enzymes in normal and pretective effect on hepatotoxicity rats induced by carbon tetrachlolide. Four groups of rats (3-week-old inbred Sprague-Dawley male rats) were normal rats fed control diet(C)_(1) induced hepatotoxicity rats fed control diet(EC)_(1) normal rats fed purple sweet potato diet(P), and induced hepatotoxicity rats fed purple potato sweet diet(EP). Rats were induced by single injection of 50% carbon tetrachloide(0.1 mL/100 g B.W., i.p.). The rats were fed ad libitum each of the experimental diet for 5 weeks. After 5 weeks the rats were sacrificed and activities of antioxidant enzymes and lipid peroxidation products were determined in their liver homogenates. But serum concentrations of lipid was not significant in all groups. Serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT/GPT) and aspartate aminotransferase(ALT/GPT)of the EC and EP groups were heigher than the C and P groups. The hepatic glucose 6-phosphatase(G9Pase) activity of the group fed purple potato diet(P) was lower than the other groups(p<0.05). However, The glutathione peroxidase(GPx) activities was not statistically different between the groups. Renal glutathione S-transferase(GST) activity of the EC and EP groups were lower than the C and P groups(p<0.05). In conclusion, these results suggest that purple sweet potato is believed to be possible protective effect on hepatotoxicity rats induced by carbon tetrachlolide.

        당뇨 유발쥐에서 인동초의 섭취가 혈청지질과 혈당 및 항산화효소계에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of dietary Indongcho(L. japonica Thunb) powder on blood glucose, serum lipid levels and antioxidative anzymes in normal and streptozotocin(STZ)-induced diabetic rats. Four groups of rats(2-week-old inbred Sprague-Dawley male rats) were normal rats fed control diet(NC), diabetic rats fed control diet(DC), normal rats fed Indongcho powder diet(NI), and diabetic rats fed Indongcho powder diet(DI). Diabetes was induced by single injection of streptozotocin(60mg/kg BOW., i.p.). The animals were fed ad libium each of the experimental diet for 5 weeks. Food and water intakes were determined everyday. Blood glucose and serum total cholesterol levels were determined every week. After 5 weeks the animals were sacrificed and activities of antioxidant enzymes and lipid peroxidation products were determined in their liver and kidney homogenates. We also determined serum concentrations of total lipid(TL), total cholesterol(TC), triglycerides(TG) and HDL-cholesterol(HEL-C).Blood sugar and water intake were higher in decreased by dietary Indongcho intake, Body weight gain and FER(feed efficiency ration) were reduced by STZ treatment. But, Final body weight was recovered by Indongcho-contained diet. LHR(LDL-cholesterol/HDL-cholesterol) of the DI group was significantly lower than the other experimental groups(NC, NI and DE groups). The hepatic glucose 6-phosphatase(G6Pase) activity of the groups fed Indongcho diet(NI and DI group) was lower than the groups fed control diet(NC and DC group) and the G6Pase activity of NI group was recovered to the normal levels(p<0.05). However, The glutathione peroxidase(GPx) and glutathione reductase(GR) activities in liver and G6Pase activity in kidney were not statistically different between the control and diabetic control groups. Renal GST activity of the DI group was recovered by Indongcho intake. In conclusion, these results confirm oxidative stress in the liver and kidney of rats with STZ diabetes and antioxidative effect of Indongcho.

      • 유리단 국소의치 장착 후 M.K.G.에 의한 하악운동 형태 및 속도의 변화

        The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of distal extension partial denture on the mandibular movement patterns and velocity. The subjects are 10 patients who have unilateral or bilateral distal extension edentulous area in maxillary and/or mandibular arches. Their mandibular movement patterns and velocity had been measured by Mandibular Kinesiograph(M.K.G.-K6 diagnostic system, Myo-tronics Inc. Seattle. WA. U.S.A.) once just before the treatment and 8 times every week since the dentures were placed. The data have been analyzed statistically by means of ANOVA and Tukey test. The results have been obtained as follows : 1. The placement of the dentures has reduced the amount of vertical and antero-posterior displacement in the habitual mandibular movement significantly(p<0.01). 2. The maximum opening and closing velocity and the mean opening and closing velocity showed no significant change with the placement of the partial dentures(p>0.01). 3. The velocity trace of maximum opening-closing movement has been more regularized and well-coordinated, and the number of clicks decreased continuously after placement of the dentures and showed stable patterns since the 5th week(p<0.01). 4. The left deviation has been decreased significantly after the placement of the dentures and showed no significant change since the 4th week. The right deviation has also been reduced, but there was shown no difference after the 1st week(p<0.01). 5. The crossover pattern has been most frequently observed in the frontal plane and the sagittal plane. It has not been changed with the denture placement and stabilized uniformly.

      • Propylthiouracil에 의한 중증 급성간염 1예

        PTU에 의한 간염의 발생은 매우 드물게 발생하는 것으로 알려져 있으나 저자들은 Graves씨 병으로 진단 받고 propylthiouracil 투여를 받고있던 환자에서 중증의 급성 간염이 발생한 1예를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. Propylthiouracil is widely used to treat patients with hyperthyroidism. This drug has been associated with severe hepatotoxicity rarely. We presented the case of jaundice and profound liver dysfunction from a 23-year old woman treated with propylthiouracil for hyperthyroidism. Viral, metabolic, and autoimmune liver disease could be excluded and liver biopsy revealed a pattern of acute hepatitis. After discontinuing the drug, there was a progressive resolution of hepatic symptoms and decrease in biochemical data of the liver. Despite propylthiouracil induced hepatitis in rare case, patients receiving propylthiouracil are exposed to develope severe hepatotoxicity. Therefore it might be advisable to monitor level of the transaminase on regular base from patients receiving propylthiouracil.

      • 고도비만 환자에서 복강경 위소매절제술 후 발생한 누공의 내시경 치료 1예

        Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy can reduce morbidity and mortality in patients with morbid obesity, but it can cause complications such as a gastrointestinal leak. A 30-year-old morbidly obese female who had type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension with estimated body mass index of 40.2 kg/m2 was admitted. Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy was performed. On postoperative day 19, a leak was suspicious on physical examination and radiologic findings. Conservative management was performed, but the patient was hemodynamically unstable and imminently septic. After laparoscopic drainage procedure, esophagogastroduodenoscopy was performed and revealed the fistula opening at staple line just below gastroesophageal junction. Fibrin tissue adhesive was injected around the fistula and the esophageal covered stent was inserted to cover the leak. At 14th days after stent insertion, the barium study confirmed no more leak. In this case, we experienced that the esophageal stent insertion with fibrin tissue adhesive injection may reduce recovery time of the fistula developed after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy

        Targeted, Stimuli-Responsive, and Theranostic <sup>19</sup>F Magnetic Resonance Imaging Probes

        <P>Unlike conventional <SUP>1</SUP>H magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), <SUP>19</SUP>F MRI features unambiguous detection of fluorine spins due to negligible background signals. Therefore, it is considered a promising noninvasive and selective imaging method for the diagnosis of cancers and other diseases. For <SUP>19</SUP>F MRI, fluorine-rich molecules such as perfluorocarbons (PFC) have been formulated into nanoemulsions and used as its tracer agent. Along with advancements in other types of nanoparticles as targeted theranostics and stimuli-triggered probes and combined with the advantages of <SUP>19</SUP>F MRI, PFC nanoemulsions are being empowered with these additional functionalities and becoming a promising theranostic platform. In this Review, we provide an overview of fluorine-based materials for sensitive <SUP>19</SUP>F MRI of biological and pathological conditions. In particular, we describe designs and applications of recently reported stimuli-responsive and theranostic <SUP>19</SUP>F MRI probes. Finally, challenges and future perspectives regarding the further development of <SUP>19</SUP>F MRI probes for their clinical applications are described.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>
