        정상 한국인에서 연령증가에 따른 혈장 Dehydroepiandrosteronesulfate ( DHEA-S ) 농도 및 DHEA - S / cortisol 비의 변화

        Backgroud: DHEA-S is the most abundant steroid hormone in circulation, and primarily secreted from the adrenal cortex, but its physiological role is little known. One of the characteristic features of DHEA-S is progressive decrement of plasma DHEA-S level with advancing age, in contrast, plasma levels of other adrenal hormones are not chaging or littie decreasing. To grasp the trends of plasma DHEA-S level and DHEA-S/cortisol ratio by age in healthy Korean, we measured the plasma DHEA-S levels and DHEA-S/cortisol ratios in healthy Korean. Methods: Healthy Korean(men: 99, women: 102, age range: 15-97 year old)were studied. Subjects were not taking drugs(such as glucocorticoid or androgenic medication) or cigarettes known to modify the plasma level of DHEA-S and cortisol, and had no evidence of hepatic, renal disease or hyperlipidemia as determined by serum lipid, bilirubin, SGOT, SGPT, BUN, creatinine. Data were analyzed by 10-year age group for men and women: i.e, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40- 49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89 and 90 year or more. Plasma DHEA-S levels were measured by using a commercially available RIA kit with 125I labeled-DHEA-SO4(Coat-A Count DHEA-SO4), and for the measurement of plasma cortisol levels, commercial Gamma Coat TM[125I] Cortisol Radioimmunassay Kit was used. Results:. 1) In both men and women, plasma DHEA-S level showed high interindividual variation within the same age group. 2) There were individual sex differences in plasma levels of DHEA-S, in all age groups, plasma DHEA-S levels were significantly higher values for men than for women. 3) Maximum plasma DHEA-S levels(men; 237+-3.35 ug/dL, women; 108+-17.5 ug/dL) were at third decade in both men and women. 4) Both men and women showed the continuous decline in plasma DHEA-S level with age. These age-related decline was more prominent in men than in women(men; y= -3.152 * +292.6, r2= 0.8459, P$lt;0.05, women; y= -1.417 * +143.3, r2 = 0.7278, P$lt; 0.05). 5) As an index of aging, there was no stastical difference between DHEA-S and DHEA- S/cortisol ratio. Conclusion: In healthy Korean, there were high interindividual variation of plasrna DHEA-S levels. In both men and women plasma DHEA-S level was peak at third decade, and from when it declined progressively with age. These results suggest that although the reliability of single plasma DHEA-S measurement are limited, the decline of DHEA-S with advancing age might be a specific marker of endocrinologic hormonal milieu(aging index). Also, concerning to individual adrenal secreting capacity, we measured DHEA-S/cortisol ratio. But we did not found that plasma DHEA-S/cortisol ratio is superior to the plasma DHEA-S level as an aging index. (J Kor Soc Endocrinol 12:245-254, 1997)

        The studies on the design and application for a ballast by means of the mathematical formula, and on the fabrication of a electronic stater are performed. As a results, many different types of ballasts have been designed and examined in a comparison with the values calculated by design formula. For example, the ballast for managing 20W power was designed and fabricated by using these design concepts. It could be found out that the formula for designing ballast was very useful. The initial characteristics of the electronic starter fabricated were better than those of the existing glow starter at the time of turn-on. It was expected the electronic starter to extend the life time of a fluorescent lamp by means of turn-on/off test.

      • A Study on Storage of Major Herbal Medicine Materials, Zingiberis Rhizoma

        To develop optimal storage method of root of Zingiberis Rhizoma, which has been grown as major cultural herbal medicine materials, root of Zingiberis Rhizoma, was stored for 10 months with different packing materials and sealing methods. The loss in dry weight as influenced by packing materials and sealing methods was the lowest at vacuum packing and followed by complete sealing methods with transparent polyethylene film. The ratio of root rot during the storage period was not significantly different between packing materials but was significantly different between sealing conditions. Conclusionally, vacuum packing and complete sealing with polyethylene film appears to be optimal for storage of Zingiberis Rhizoma.

      • 天然記念物 指定樹의 現況과 管理實態 및 그 對策에 關한 硏究 : 全北地方의 天然記念物을 中心으로 Special reference to trees designated as natural monuments in Chonbuk Province

        This study was carried out the learn present status of trees designated as natural monuments and how those are managed in Chonbuk Province. The trees of natural monument in Chonbuk Province belong to 9 families and 15 species located in 17 districts. Growth condition was relatively good, but not the management condition requiring protection and better management services. The results of this study suggest a countermeasure limiting the land use and protecting the plant ecosystem near natural monuments, thus demanding to study those natural monuments further scientifically and also to inform the importance of natural monuments to the public.

      • 甲川 水質汚染이 錦江本流에 미치는 影響 調査硏究

        大田圈 河川의 汚染狀態가 錦江水質에 미치는 影響을 調査하기 위하여 1988年부터 1989年까지 2년간에 걸쳐 水系別로 13個地點을 選定하여 水質項目을 測定分析하였으며 그 結果를 要約하면, 大田市民의 生活下水가 흐르는 大田川, 柳等川 流域은 下流로 갈수록 汚染實態는 惡化되었으며 特히 삼성橋는 가장 높은 汚染度를 나타내고 있다. 流域에 汚染源이 적은 甲川은 錦江水系의 等 1支流로 汚染源이 적어 水質汚染度가 輕微하였으나 下流에서 大田川과 柳等川이 合流하므로서 水質汚染狀態가 높아졌고, 錦江水域에도 影響을 주었다. 甲川과 合流되는 錦江水域은 水質環境基準 Ⅲ等級을 維持하고 있다. 營養 類는 전 調査地點이 高富營養化狀態로 매우 높게 나타났고 大田川, 柳等天은 담수어 勤告基準을 超過하여 棲息을 不可能한 것으로 나타났다. 汚染物質變化는 外的要因으로 月別과 年度別로 큰 差異를 보이고 있으며 豊水期인 7∼8月에는 汚染度가 크게 減少함을 알 수 있다. This study is to research the effect of water pollution in the stream of Taejon basin on Kuem River. Water conditions were measured and analyzed, which were classified by 9 items on 13 sampling area of the water systems for 2 years from 1988 to 1989. The condition of water pollution gets worse as goes to the downstream since most of sewage of Taejon city is discharged mainly to Taejon Cheon and Youdueng Cheon areas and, therefore, the water of these streams was found as not suitable for service water. Water pollution indicates the worst in the water supplied from samsung bridge Basin. Kab Cheon, the lst tributary of Keum River water system, contains more portion of natural stream water than that of sewage. The condition of pollution showes low level in the area of the Great Daeduk Bridge, but high in the downstream where Taejon cheon meets with Youdueng Cheon, and it severely, affects the Keum River basin. The water quality of the Keum River basin, where the river joins with Kab Cheon, constantly shows the 3rd grade by the standard of water environment level. All the sampling areas show high-eutrophication in the level of trophic salts and, therefore, freshwater fishes can not inhabitate in Taejon Cheon and Youdueng Cheon since the level of pollution indicates over its recommendational standard. The condition of pollution changes monthly and yearly to the great value by the cause concerned indirectly. It showes that the pollutants can be decreased by the control of water volume since the contaminants were diminished in the rainy seasons July and August.

        정밀부품 및 기기에 대한 환경시험기술

        정밀부품이나 기기는 개발과정이나 완료단계에서 부적절한 설계에 의하여 발생할지도 모르는 잠재적인 결함을 방지하기 위하여 시험평가를 실시하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 신뢰성 기술 분야의 기초가 되는 환경시험기술을 소개 하였으며 엔코더, 교통신호제어기, 계측기기 및 위성항법 수신기 등 제품단위의 대상품에 대한 시험조건 및 방법 등을 기술하고 시험사례를 보고하였다. 이러한 사례를 통하여 제품의 신뢰성 향상을 위한 복합환경시험의 중요성을 강조하였고 최근 환경시험기술에 대한 인식이 날로 증대되면서 시험기술자 양성, 지그설계기술 그리고 고장해석 및 대책기술의 확보가 매우 필요함을 제안하였다. Precision parts and instruments are tested to evaluate performance in development-process and product-step to prement a potential defect due to a failure design. In this paper, Environmental test technology, which is the basis of reliability analysis, is introduced with examples of test criterion, test method for products, encoder and traffic signal controller, and measuring instruments. Recently, as the importance of the environmental test technology is recognized, It is proposed that tranining of test technician and technology of jig design and failure analysis are very essential.

      • 6주간의 淸暑益氣湯 經口投與가 에너지대사 및 호르몬 변화에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of chung-seo-ik-gi -tang administration on the metabolic responses and hormones in 18 healthy-male elite boxes. All subjects were divided randomly with two groups, Chung-sea-ik-gi-tang Group(N=18) and placebo group(N=18) and perfored with 70% of HR max using bycicle ergometer unfil exhaustion. During the submaximal exercise, heart rate was maesured every two min. The blood samples were collected from antecubital vein by 10ml syranges(6ml/each) before immediately after exhaustion, recover-10 min, recover-20 min and recover-30 min. The samples were to analyzed for the level of glucose, lactate, TG, TC, HDL-C, insulin and catecholamine. The results of various blood parameters were summarized as follow; l. Energy substrates (plasma glucose, TG, TC, HDL-C) changes in group C were significantly different from group P. Plasma glucose in group C was significantly lowered at recover-10 min compared to group P (P<0.05). and also TG, TC and HDL-C in group C were significantly increased after 3 weeks compared to group P (P<0.05) whereas. Lactate accumulation in group C was significantly decreased after 3 weeks compared to group P (P<0.05). 2. Plasma insulin level was not showed significant difference between two groups. But insulin depression tendency after 3, 6 weeks in group C was allevated compared to group P. Increasing rate of norepinephrine in group C at Post-exhaustion after 3weeks lowered compared to group P. Norepinephrine in group C at rest periods after 3 weeks showed significant difference compared to group C. The results indicated that Chung-seo-ik-gi-tang had the effects of ergogenic aids on fatigue resistance and recovery from exhaustive exercise at the level of 70% HR max.

These characteristics of the ?? photoconductive Layer depend on the structure that is mainly effected by the fabrication condition of it. When the fabrication condition of this Layer are R.F.Power 600W, ?? Pressure 10mm Torr and substrate temperature 100℃, Photosensitivity γwill be 0.7. The dominant structure and the orientation of this Layer ae red (tetragonl) form and (101), (110) direction under the suitable deposition conditions. The Crystallite size is 1㎛×0.1㎛ and its form is needle Like.

        A residential enviroment have a role as important space in which men are live. This study is focussed to compose the space of individual housing garden through a field survey and questionaires. This paper is intended to provide the basic research materials that presents the direction of composition of traditional korean housing garden. The results of the study were summarized as follows; 1) Through comparing western house style with korean's, housing width per a person is in rank of below and further, density of building is in high level. Therefore, it is difficult to make composition of variety as to outdoor space. 2) As to concern about space composition of individual housing garden, in korean style everyone wants a garden with many trees, western and japanes's does one with lawns. 3) The most used materials at individual housing garden appeared that by orders tree, garden stone and water etc. 4) Recently, an individual housing garden trends to make a space composition of singular. As show above, gradually the composition of individual housing garden loses his tradition and identity and also, is changed as a singular space. So, this related much studies will be pursued in the field of landscape architecture.

      • 螢光放電菅의 設計

        The parameters that determine the characteristics of the fluorescent discharge tube are Ar pressure p, discharge-path l, inner diameter ø, lamp current I and lamp voltage Vt. It was finded out that these parameters had a functional relations. Discharge-path and Ar pressure can be determined by using this design rule. The effectiveness of the proposed design rule was proved by appling it to the fabrication of a 18W fluorescent discharge tube.
