For the adequate treatment of deperssion psychiatrist must know the typical symptoms of depression and the target symptoms of pharmacotherapy and the profile of adverse effects, the genetic inforamtion of individulas. The selection of antidepressant according to the indvidual variation of genetics will be very improtant.
Si Bulk Micromachining을 위한 Wafer Rolling Etching 및 그 특성

A wafer rolling etching system for the silicon bulk micromachining has been designed and fabricated. The silicon diaphragms were anisotropically etched in a 24.5 weight percent KOH solution. Compared to the conventional KOH etching systems, pyramidal hillocks, and wave-shaped structures on the etched surfaces were greatly reduced by using this system. After etching for time of 438 minutes, the average etched depth and the etch-rate were measured to be 537μm and 1.22μm/min, respectively. The average etching uniformity of etching depth was 0.87% in 5-inch wafer. Our results showed that the wafer rolling method enhanced etch uniformity and etch rate.

Objectives:This study was to identify weight & metabolic changes in first-episode psychotic patients with antipsychotics use and investigate the differences of weight & metabolic changes between first-episode psychotic patients and controls with antipsychotics use. Method:In this retrospective study, twenty eight first-episode psychotic patients and twenty eight controls with schizophrenia, schizoaffective or bipolar disorder defined by DSM-IV criteria were included. Information about demographic and clinical characteristics of the subjects was gathered from the medical records. Also body weight, sBP, dBP, fasting glucose, lipid profile and WBC count were evaluated before and after antipsychotics use. Rogistic regression was conducted to assess factors associated with weight gain. Results:First-episode psychotic patients showed more weight and BMI changes than controls after antipsychotics use, and these changes continue over 12 months. On the other hand, there were no significant factors associated with weight gain. Conclusion:The results of present study suggest that antispychotics is one of the major causes inducing weight gain of psychotic patients and antipsychotics-induced weight gain is more vulnerable to drug-naive first-episode psychotic patients.

Objectives : This open prospective study was performed in order to evaluate the efficacy and extrapyramidal adverse effects of nemonapride in the schizophrenic patients, and was compared wit one of typical antipshchotics. haloperidol and one of atypical antipsychotics, risperidone. Methods : Thirty male and female schizophrenic patients(DSM-Ⅳ) were treated for 12 weeks with haloperidol(n=10), risperidone(n=10) and nemonapride(n=10). The overall efficacy was assessed at baseline, 1st week, 2nd week, 4th week, 8th week, and 12th week by the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale for Schizophrenia(PANSS). Also the overall safety was assessed in the same time period by the Extrapyramidal Symptom Rating Scale(ESRS). Results : There were no significant differences in PANSS scores(total, positive, negative, and general psychopathology subscale) among haloperidol, risperidone, and nemonapride groups, Treatment responders, defined as at least 20% reduction of baseline total PANSS score, were achieved by 8 patients(80%) in haloperidol group, 10 patients(100%) in risperidone group, and 8 patients(80%) in nemonapride group. And there were no significant differences in ESRS total scores among haloperidol, risperidone, and nemonapride group. Inter-group comparison among haloperidol, risperidone and nemonapride group, as assessed by the ESRS, revealed no significant differences in the shifts to the maximum score, 9.4(±9.4), 6.2(±8.4), and 11.3(±8.1) respectively, and also revealed no significant differences in the mean time reaching the maximum score, 4.5(±4.5) week, 7.8(±4.8) week, and 4.6(±4.4) week, respectivily. Conclusion : There wee no significant differences in the efficacy and extrapyramidal adverse effects among haloperidal, rispecridone and nemonapride groups. These results suggest that nemonapride was as efficacious and safe in he treatment of schizophrenia, as well known and widely used antipsychotics, haloperidol and risperidone.
Effects of ZnO Template Thickness on the Synthesis of 1-D ZnO Nanostructures

1-D ZnO nanostructures were fabricated by the thermal evaporation method on ZnO templates which were thin films with a preferred orientation along the c-axis and were prepared by magnetron sputtering. These ZnO nanostructures were synthesized by direct reaction between metallic Zn powder and oxygen gas on ZnO templates of various thicknesses at a reaction temperature of 700 C. Although at a template thickness of <300 nm ZnO nanorods grew in a slightly inclined manner, vertical well-aligned ZnO nanorods were produced on 360-nm ZnO film. However, when template thicknesses were increased, the ZnO nanostructures produced adopted a network-like rather than a rod configuration. The origin of this configurational change is ascribed to variations in preferred orientation along the c-axis and in the grain size of ZnO templates, depending on the thickness of the ZnO templates.

<P>ZnO epitaxial layers were grown on GaN underlying films by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition at various temperatures. An increase in growth temperature led to morphological changes from a smooth film with hexagonal-shaped surface pits to honeycomb-like nanostructures with deep hollow, and additionally resulted in a decrease in dislocation density in the interfacial layers. The reduced dislocation density at the higher growth temperature was attributed to an increase in the size of the critical nucleus and the low nucleation density at the initial stage. The shifts in the peak positions in the X-ray diffraction and photoluminescence were also observed in the samples grown at different temperatures, and were caused by the variation of residual strains after the complete coalescence of the nuclei.</P>
