This study was done to find out the effect of seeding seasons of rice varieties on the occurrence of sheath blight caused by Corticium sasakii. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. The percentage of infected stems and susceptibilities to sheath blight wered ecreased as the transplanting dates were delayed. 2. The susceptibilities to sheath blight of early maturing varieties were high, medium maturing varieties were intermediate and late maturing varieties were least. 3. The percentages of infected stems of Indica X Japonica varieties checked on 28th July were lower than those of Japonica varieties, but the susceptibilities were not significant between them. 4. At all varieties, highly significant correlation was recognized between the susceptibilities and the heading dates. Also relatively high correlation was appeared between the susceptibilies and the accumulated temperatures from 10 days before heading date to 30 days after it. This indicates that te susceptibility was much influenced by high temperature of the latter part of the rice plants growth.

1. Chemical properties of soils and inorganic compositions of rice plants were analysed to explain the acute wilting occurred in the late stage of rice variety, Yusin. The results obtained were summarized as follows. 1) The amount of K and S_iO_2 of soils where severe rice wilting occurred was lower than that of soils where rice wilting didn't occurred. 2) The amount of N and FeO of wilted rice plants was higher than that of normal rice plants while the amount of K_2O and SiO_2 and the ratio of K_2O/N of former were lower than that of letter. 2. Severe wilting was occurred only in the rice variety, Yusin, when three varieties… Yusin, Milyang #15, Milyang #23……were interplanted. The amount of organic and inorganic compositions of three varieties and chemical properties of rhizosphere soils were analysed. 1) The rice variety, Yusin, was the lowest and that of the rice variety, Milyang #15, was the highest in the level of total carbohydrate and hemicellulose. 2) Comparatively higher levels of K were observed in rhizosphere soil where Yusin was planted, while the level of the K in the plant of Yusin was the lowest.

Diesel particulate trap is a core technology for the reduction of PM from diesel vehicles. This study presents the features and the characteristics of DPF system when using pellet type filters. In comparison with wall-flow filter, the pellet filter has the advantages of cracking free during regeneration and shape flexibility. Experiments are conducted in a test bench simulated as diesel engine exhaust condition. Pressure drop and particle loading rate was compared by using two pellet filters having the porosity of 70% and 0%. Also its regeneration was tested.

Eisenmenger's syndrome describes a situation in which the left-to-right intracardiac shunt is reversed as a result of increased pulmonary vascular resistance. The patients with Eisenmenger's syndrome are poorly tolerated and markedly increased maternal mortality to 30 - 50% during pregnancy, Physiological change of pregnancy decreases systemic vascular resistance that further aggravates the bi-directional or left shunt associated with Eisemnenger's syndrome. We report a case of 37 weeks a pregnant woman with an urgent cesarean section under general anesthesia for preterm labor. She was a pregnant patient with Eisenmenger's syndrome and did not receive antenatal care during pregnancy. Anesthesia was induced with ketamine-midazolam-fentanyl and maintained with ketamine-midazolam. The patient was ventilated with 100% O₂. Blood pressure was maintained with intravenous phenylephrine, crystalloid solution, and blood. Phenylephhne was used to maintain systemic vascular resistance (SVR). Even though the patient was carried rapid and adequate medical management, the patient was transferred to the ICU in an intubated state and died 2 days after surgery. We conclude that the parturients with Eisenmenger's syndrome require more regular, careful antenatal care, monitoring, and adequate management.

To develop and aceclofenac soft capsule, four preparations with various solubilizers were prepared and their dissolution test was carried out. Among four preparations tested, a preparation with ethanolamine was selected a formula of aceclofenac soft capsule (Clanza S^(™), since it showed the fastest dissolution rate. Bioequivalence of aceclofenac tablet, Airtal^(™)(Dae-Woong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) and aceclofenac soft capsule, Clanza S^(™)(Korea United Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) was evaluated according to the guideline of KFDA. Fourteen normal male volunteers (age 20-25 years old) were divided into two groups and a randomized 2×2 cross-over study was employed. After oral administration of one tablet or capsule containing 100 ㎎ of aceclofenac, blood ws taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentration of aceclofenac in plasma wa determined with an HPLC method under UV detector. The pharmacokinetic parameters (C_(max), T_(max) and AUC_(t)) were calculated and ANOVA was utilized for the statistical analysis of parameters using logarithmically transformed AUC_(t), C_(max) and T_(max) between Airtal tablet and Clanza soft capsule were 2.89%, 0.18% and 43.0%, respectively. There were no sequence effects between two formulations in these parameters. The 90% confidence intervals using logarithmically transformed data were within the acceptance range of log(0.8) to log(1.250(e.g.log(0.81) - log(1.23) and log(0.89) - log(1.14)) for AUC_(t) and C_(max), respectively. Thus, the criteria of the KDFA guidelines for the equivalence was satisfied, indicating that Clanza S^(™) soft capsule is bioequivalent to Airtal^(™) tablet.

Zinc oxide (ZnO) is a commonly used electron transport layer in quantum-dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs). In this study, we used a highly conductive ZnO film via a low-temperature process to improve the electron transport behavior of the QLEDs. The electron transport behavior of ZnO film was investigated from the electron only device, and the origin of high conductivity was figured out using x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. We found that the oxygen vacancy, which can improve the carrier transport in ZnO film, was increased according to reduce the process temperature of ZnO. Meanwhile, the hydroxyl group, which contribute to the quenching effect, was decreased according to reduce the process temperature of ZnO. Therefore, high-performance QLEDs were fabricated using the low-temperature processed ZnO, and it showed an improved luminance and current efficiency in a full current range. The maximum luminance and current efficiency of the devices were measured as 65,391 Cd/m2 and 2.48 Cd/A, respectively. Moreover, the lifetime of the device was improved due to the low-temperature process. Therefore, we suggest that a highly conductive ZnO film could be formed through a lowtemperature process, and it can improve the performance of QLEDs.

일반적으로 소프트웨어 개발교육은 해당 분야의 비전문가일 경우 교육활동을 진행하기 어려운 점이 있다. 이러한 점을 고려하여 최근 피지컬 컴퓨팅 기반의 소프트웨어 교육에 관심이 증가되고 있다. 피지컬 컴퓨팅은 전기회로와 공학적인 기술이 필요로 하는 것이어서 어렵다고는 하지만, 학생들이 쉽게 다룰 수 있고 사용하기 편리한 아두이노를 활용할 경우 학생들로 하여금 주도적인 소프트웨어 개발 교육을 이끌 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 오픈소스 하드웨어인 아두이노를 기반으로 피지컬 컴퓨팅을 활용한 소프트웨어 개발 교육의 결과물로서 센서, 아두이노, 스마트폰 어플리케이션과의 상호 연동을 통해 실시간으로 화재를 감지하는 시스템을 구현해 보았다. 초기 발견이 늦어 큰 피해가 발생할 수 있는 화재 사건에 정확한 화재의 감지를 위해 아두이노 기반의 피지컬 컴퓨팅을 활용하여 정확성, 접근성과 확장성 면에서 큰 효과를 볼 수 있었다.
