Camera panning or shaking can degrade the quality of acquired images. Removal of such motion blur is typical an ill-posed problem. The existing blind deconvolution methods based on frequency-domain constraints have difficulties in seriously blurred images or overly simplified parametric forms. In order to solve this problem, we present a novel deblurring method using appearance information in the regularization space. An arbitrary point is used to estimate the point spread function (PSF) that defines the extent and the direction of motion blur. The proposed method can be applied in a variety of digital photographs because it uses a simple, robust estimation algorithm.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Constitutive heterochromatin undergoes a dynamic clustering and spatial reorganization during myogenic differentiation. However the detailed mechanisms and its role in cell differentiation remain largely elusive. Here, we report the identification of a muscle-specific long non-coding RNA, ChRO1, involved in constitutive heterochromatin reorganization. ChRO1 is induced during terminal differentiation of myoblasts, and is specifically localized to the chromocenters in myotubes. ChRO1 is required for efficient cell differentiation, with global impacts on gene expression. It influences DNA methylation and chromatin compaction at peri/centromeric regions. Inhibition of ChRO1 leads to defects in the spatial fusion of chromocenters, and mislocalization of H4K20 trimethylation, Suv420H2, HP1, MeCP2 and cohesin. In particular, ChRO1 specifically associates with ATRX/DAXX/H3.3 complex at chromocenters to promote H3.3 incorporation and transcriptional induction of satellite repeats, which is essential for chromocenter clustering. Thus, our results unveil a mechanism involving a lncRNA that plays a role in large-scale heterochromatin reorganization and cell differentiation.</P>
노인 류마티스 관절염 환자에서의 요양급여심사기준 변경에 따른 TNF-α 억제제 약물사용양상

In January 2014, there was a change in the reimbursement criteria of TNF-α inhibitor (TNFi) for RA patients. The new reimbursement criteria require DAS28 of a patient to assess disease activity, while previous reimbursement criteria required laboratory data and several subjective assessments. We examined the effect of a change in reimbursement criteria on the utilization of TNFi in RA patients. Data sources were 2013-2014 Aged Patient Sample data of Health Insurance Review and Assessment. Monthly trends in prescription and consumption of TNFi were estimated using segmented regression of interrupted time series. The consumption of TNFi was measured in terms of Daily Defined Dose per 1,000 RA patients per day. Subgroup analysis was conducted by the types of institution. There were increased baseline trends in prescription and consumption of TNFi, which were not significant. In subgroup analysis, tertiary hospital showed a significant increase in prescription and consumption immediately after the change in reimbursement criteria, while general hospital, hospital, and clinic showed a significant decrease in prescription and consumption. These trends were consistent throughout one year after the change in reimbursement criteria. This study shows that the change in reimbursement criteria of TNFi in RA patients had little impact on the overall utilization of TNFi. However, the change in reimbursement criteria significantly affected the pattern of TNFi utilization by the types of institution. Further research is needed to examine whether this change improved the accessibility to TNFi in RA patients.

디지털 영상이 멀티미디어의 핵심 매체로 자리를 잡게 되면서 영상의 열화요인을 제거하여 원래의 품질에 가깝게 개선하는 영상복원기술의 활용분야가 더욱 늘어나고 있다. 그러나 영상복원을 수행할 때 영상의 열화(degradation)가 선형공간불변이라고 가정하기 때문에 주파수영역에서 영상복원을 수행하면 그 결과 에지와 같이 밝기값의 변화가 큰 영역 주변에서 물결현상(ringing)이 나타나는 단점이 있다. 본 논문은 물결현상 제거를 위해 새로운 적응적 후처리 필터링 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 웨이블릿 변환을 사용하여 영상을 해석하고 에지맵을 추출하고 영역을 나누어 에지영역과 물결현상을 검출한 후 이를 쌍방향필터(bilateral filter)를 이용해 제거한다. 실험결과를 통해서 제안하는 방법이 효과적으로 물결현상을 제거하는 동시에 중요한 에지를 보존할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있다. Digital image find own level core media in multimedia as image restoration technology fields, which remove degradation factor for image enhancement, have been growing. Linear space-invariant image restoration algorithms often introduce ringing artifacts near sharp intensity transition areas. This paper presents a new adaptive post-filtering algorithm for reducing ringing artifact. The proposed method extracts an edge map of the image using wavelet transform. Based on the edge information, ringing artifacts are detected, and removed by an adaptive bilateral filter. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can efficiently remove ringing artifacts with edge preservation.
Static Analysis of a Small Scale Ducted-Fan UAV using Wind Tunnel Data

This paper discusses the mathematical modeling of a small scale ducted-fan UAV and examines its results in comparison to the wind tunnel test. A wind tunnel test is first performed, producing a substantial amount of test data. The acquired set of wind tunnel test data is then categorized and approximated as mathematical functions. Finally, the mathematically modeled forces and moments acting on the UAV are compared with the acquired wind tunnel data. The analysis involves a gradient-based algorithm and is applied to extract trim states with respect to various flight conditions. Consequently, a numerical analysis demonstrates that there exists a reasonable flight status with respect to airspeed.

A clinical practice guideline for patients in the dying process in general wards and their families, developed through an evidence-based process, is presented herein. The purpose of this guideline is to enable a peaceful death based on an understanding of suitable management of patients’ physical and mental symptoms, psychological support, appropriate decision- making, family care, and clearly-defined team roles. Although there are limits to the available evidence regarding medical issues in patients facing death, the final recommendations were determined from expert advice and feedback, considering values and preferences related to medical treatment, benefits and harms, and applicability in the real world. This guideline should be applied in a way that takes into account specific health care environments, including the resources of medical staff and differences in the available resources of each institution. This guideline can be used by all medical institutions in South Korea.

Nowadays, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) blockers are used for treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel diseases, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, and psoriasis. Paradoxically, there are some reports on the appearance of psoriasis after administration of TNF-α blockers. Here, we report on a patient with monoarthritis in a knee joint who experienced psoriasis after TNF-α blocker therapy (adalimumab and etanercept). Oral medication was not a treatment option due to patient intolerance; thus, we tried ustekinumab, an anti-interleukin (IL)-12/23 monoclonal antibody used for treatment of psoriasis. Following ustekinumab injection, psoriatic skin lesions and joint symptoms were much improved. However, in the following period, joint pain and swelling became aggravated and synovial fluid cytokine levels including IL-6 and IL-17 were elevated. The treatment was changed to tocilizumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody against IL-6 receptor. After injection, knee joint swelling rapidly subsided without worsening of psoriatic skin lesions.
