The purpose of this study was to investigate a study on awareness attitudes of mathematics education in elementary school. This study was conducted with 152 W elementary school of Gwang Ju, 105 H elementary school of Gyeong Ju making up 257 in total. Mean, standard deviation, t-test were done to draw out the conclusions according to different study purposes. The findings of this study were as follows; First, the awareness attitudes of mathematics education was non-significant compared to those in the male-female group. Second, it can be said that the awareness attitude of Gwang Ju toward the elementary students was more positive compared to the Gyeong Ju elementary students. Third, it can be said that the awareness attitude of mathematics attend a lecture group toward the elementary students was more positive compared to the non-mathematics attend a lecture group. 본 연구는 초등학교 3학년 학생들의 수학에 대한 인식태도를 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 광주광역시 W초등학교 3학년 152명과 경주시 H초등학교 3학년 105명이며, 연구결과를 알아보기 위하여 기술통계와 t검정을 하였으며 연구결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 3학년 학생들의 수학에 대한 인식태도에서 남녀 간의 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 그러므로 수학에 대한 자신감이나 흥미에서 남녀 간에 차이를 보이지 않았다. 둘째, 지역별로 대도시에 사는 초등학교 3학생들이 중소도시에 사는 초등학교 3학년 학생들보다 인지적 영역에서 차이가 있었으며, 더 긍정적인 인식을 가지고 있었다. 셋째, 수학학원에 다니고 있거나 다닌 경험이 있는 초등학교 3학년 학생들이 학원에 다니지 않은 초등학교 3학년 학생들보다 수학에 대한 인지적 영역, 정의적 영역, 전체인식태도에서 더 긍정적인 인식을 가지고 있었다.

GPS는 전세계 측위 시스템으로 근래 측위뿐만 아니라 표준시각용으로도 많이 쓰이고 있다. 본 논문은 GPS 수신기에 필수적인 시간간격계수기의 개발을 한 것으로 실험결과 양호한 특성을 얻고 있다. 앞으로 고급 소자를 사용하면 더 높은 확도를 얻을 수 있을 것이다.
FEA와 다이나모메터를 이용한 자동차 디스크 브레이크의 열적 거동에 관한 연구

While braking cars, a large amount of energy is taken into the brake system in a short period of time. This leads to some problems ; cracking of the disc, non-uniform wear of pad and disc, fade. Thus it is important to measure the contact thermal behaviour precisely between disc and pad. The measurements must be considered to design the brake system. The paper describes methods to analysis the problem of the thermal behavior on the ventilated disc with ANSYS-a program of FEA and a brake dynamometer. According to this way, the paper can present the error between the data by the dynamometer and the results of analysis by ANSYS.
소모성 질환에 이환된 이유자돈에 대해 Porcine cytomegalovirus DNA Polymerase 유전자 검출과 분석

Porcine cytomegalovirus (PCMV) causes piglet deaths, runting, inclusion body rhinitis, respiratory and reproductive disorders in swine herd, resulting in the significant economic losses in the swine industry. Recently, in the field of pig-to-human xenotransplantation, PCMV has been indicated as a potential xenogeneic pathogen with the risk for infection transmitted from the xenograft donor to the recipient. In this study, PCMV DNA polymerase gene was detected in the sera and nasal swabs from 30 heads of the weaned piglets affected with various wasting diseases and 10 heads of normal healthy piglets using polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and the diagnostic efficacy of PCR was evaluated. The prevalence of the PCR-positive by specimens from the diseased piglets were 83.3% in sera and 33.3% in nasal swabs. In the normal healthy group, the PCR-positive rates of sera and nasal swabs were 40% and 30%, respectively. Ten piglets (25.0%) out of 40 showed the simultaneously positive results in both of sera and nasal swabs. According to this result, it was found that the serum specimen was the most appropriate sample for detection of PCMV by PCR. The nucleotide sequence homology of DNA polymerase gene of PCMV KS1 as compared with the reference strain of PCMV (GenBank accesson no.AF027217) was 99.0%.

An analysis of the relationship between a linear amplifier chain and an analog-to-digital converter(ADC) in a digital microwave wideband receiver, with respect to sensitivity and dynamic range issues, is presented. The effects of gain, third-order intermodulation products and ADC characteristics on the performance of teh receiver are illustrated and design criteria for the linear amplifier chain are developed. Simulated results are also presented and compared with theoretical values. If there are two signals with frequencies very close, an FFT operation may generate one peak containing both signals. Therefore, high resolution spectrum estimation may need ot separate the two signals.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>We report on a molecularly tailored 1:1 donor–acceptor (D‐A) charge‐transfer (CT) cocrystal that manifests strongly red‐shifted CT luminescence characteristics, as well as noteworthy reconfigurable self‐assembling behaviors. A loosely packed molecular organization is obtained as a consequence of the noncentrosymmetric chemical structure of molecule <B>A1</B>, which gives rise to considerable free volume and weak intermolecular interactions. The stacking features of the CT complex result in an external stimuli‐responsive molecular stacking reorganization between the mixed and demixed phases of the D‐A pair. Accordingly, high‐contrast fluorescence switching (red↔blue) is realized on the basis of the strong alternation of the electronic properties between the mixed and demixed phases. A combination of structural, spectroscopic, and computational studies reveal the underlying mechanism of this stimuli‐responsive behavior.</P>

The previous study reported the biological effect of magnetic field exerted by acting on endocrine and anti-oxidant system. The present study aims to study whether ELF-MF (extremely low frequency magnetic field) affects the physiological endocrine systems such as thyroid and whether ELF-MF affects the defense system against oxidative stress when it alters the function of thyroid. Finally, we correlate the effects of MF on oxidative stress, and adrenal and thyroid with an environmental stress factor. We exposed sham or MF to rats for 5 or 25 days. After the exposure, we determined pain sensitivity, level of TSH, $T_3$ and free $T_4$ in plasma. We also assayed in whole brain, lipid peroxidation, the activity of enzymatic anti-oxidant defense including superoxide dismutase(SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx), and non enzymatic defense such as reduced or oxidized glutathione contents. MF induced the hypersensitivity to thermal stimuli with the reduction of latency. $T_3$ and $T_4$ levels were also increased by the exposure of MF. In addition, we observed the rise of MDA level in rat brain by MF although the MF did not change superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase activity. The effect of MF on both reduced and oxidized glutathione results in decrease in reduced or oxidized glutathione in whole brain. In every experiment, there was no significant difference in MF influence between short term (5 days) and long term (25 days) exposure. Taken together, MF exposure affects the thyroid hormonal control in brain. The elevated thyroid hormone acts on brain, leading to hyper-utilization of oxygen. This phenomenon may be correlated with oxidative stress resulting from MF exposure. In conclusion, we suggest that MF exposure may be an environmental stress by exerting oxidative stress.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The application of insect evidence to forensic investigations is mainly based on the estimation of postmortem interval and the identification of insect species from samples that are collected from the crime scene. Due to the limited number of expert taxonomists, species identification is one of the major barriers for crime scene investigators to utilize forensic entomology. Therefore, the molecular identification of species, using mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene, has been suggested as an alternative strategy. However, in some cases, these maternally inherited markers cause confusion; hence, nuclear DNA markers such as ITS2 are also required as supporting tools. Eleven Calliphoridae and 5 Sarcophagidae fly species collected from Korea were utilized for PCR amplification and nucleotide sequencing of ITS2 locus. Species Identifier software was used for sequence analysis and comparison. The results demonstrated that 11 Korean Calliphoridae and 5 Korean Sarcophagidae fly species could be distinguished using ITS2 nucleotide sequences. In particular, the sister species, <I>Lucilia illustris</I> and <I>Lucilia caesar</I> were also distinguished, despite the very low level of interspecific diversity. However, when compared with previously reported ITS2 nucleotide sequences, several identification failures were noted. This is the first study that widely analyzed nucleotide sequences of the ITS2 locus from Calliphoridae and Sarcophagidae fly species collected in Korea.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> 11 Calliphoridae and 5 Sarcophagidae fly species were distinguished using ITS2 locus. </LI> <LI> <I>Lucilia illustris</I> and <I>caesar</I> were distinguished, despite low interspecific diversity. </LI> <LI> It is the first study using Calliphoridae and Sarcophagidae collected in Korea. </LI> </UL> </P>
A White-Light-Emitting Molecule: Frustrated Energy Transfer between Constituent Emitting Centers

<P>White-light-emitting single molecules are promising materials for use in a new generation of displays and light sources because they offer the possibility of simple fabrication with perfect color reproducibility and stability. To realize white-light emission at the molecular scale, thereby eliminating the detrimental concentration- or environment-dependent energy transfer problem in conventional fluorescent or phosphorescent systems, energy transfer between a larger band-gap donor and a smaller band-gap acceptor must be fundamentally blocked. Here, we present the first example of a concentration-independent ultimate white-light-emitting molecule based on excited-state intramolecular proton transfer materials. Our molecule is composed of covalently linked blue- and orange-light-emitting moieties between which energy transfer is entirely frustrated, leading to the production of reproducible, stable white photo- and electroluminescence.</P>
