In order to suggest the proper optimal conditions of the CNC milling machining for the Thin-wall surface, some experiments were carried out. The process was applied in the aerospace industry for the machining of light alloys, notably aluminium. In recent year, however, the mold and die industry has begun to use the technology for the production of components, including those manufactured from hardened tool steels. And the end mill is an important tool in the milling process. A typical example for the end mill is the milling of pocket and slot in which a lot of material is removed from the work piece. Therefore the proper selection of cutting parameter for end milling is one of the important factors affecting the cutting cost. 100X110μm² micro mirror array의 제작과 실험

A 100 x110μm^(2) aluminum micro structure is fabricated using thick photoresist as sacrificial layer and mold for nickel electroplating. The micro structure is composed of aluminum plate, hinge, nickel support post, and address electrode. The aluminum plate is overhung about 10 μm above the silicon substrate supported by two nickel posts. The hinge connects the aluminum plate and the support post and works as a torsional spring. We used thick PR as 10 μm thick sacrificial layer and nickel electroplating mold and electroplated nickel for 10 μm high post. The aluminum plate is actuated by electrostatic force between the aluminum plate and the address electrode. The aluminum micro structure is finally released by reactive ion etching (RIE) using O_(2). The micro mirror is actuated at 35V.

<P>The effect of Al-barrier layer-mediated Fe-catalytic deactivation in vertically aligned carbon nanotube (CNT) growth was studied. The substrate surface morphology, catalytic diffusion and barrier layer oxidation were found to be dependent on the annealing temperature of the barrier layer, which ultimately affects CNT growth. The annealed barrier layer without complete oxidation was found to be suitable for top to bottom super aligned CNT arrays. The highest average CNT growth rate of up to 3.88 µm s<SUP>−1</SUP> was observed using this simple approach. Details of the analysis are also presented.</P>

<P>(-)-6 '-beta-Fluoro-aristeromycin (2), a potent inhibitor of S-adenosylhomocysteine (AdoHcy) hydrolase, has been synthesized via stereoselective electrophilic fluorination followed by a purine base build-up approach. Interestingly, purine base condensation using a cyclic sulfate resulted in a synthesis of (+)-5 '-beta-fluoro-isoaristeromycin (2a). Computational analysis indicates that the fluorine atom controlled the regioselectivity of the purine base substitution.</P>
임부의 연령에 따른 보완대체요법에 관한 인식 태도 경험 비교 연구

Purpose: This study aims to test if the age of pregnant women affects the perception, experience, and attitude towards complementary alternative therapy (CAT), by investigating the perception, experience, and attitude of pregnant women under the age of 35, and above 35 (Advanced Maternal Age). The study will 1) find the general characteristics of pregnant women under and over the age of 35 2) compare the perception, behavior, and experience of pregnant women under and over the age of 35, and 3) find the comparison of the perception, behavior, and experience according to the general characteristics of pregnant women under and over the age of 35. Method: The subjects of this study are composed of 44 women under the age of 35 and 44 women above the age of 35, totaling 88 pregnant women visiting midwiferies, obstetrics and gynecology, and baby fairs in Seoul and Gyeong-Gi area. Data for this study was collected from November 28, 2015 to January 6, 2016 for 40 days. The collected data analyzed mean, standard deviation, t test, ANOVA, and chi-square by using SPSS 23.0. Result Results show that there is a significant difference in the perception, attitude, and experience of the two-sample groups in the use of CAT. The question of “what is most necessary when applying CAT in a hospital clinical environment” for the perception criteria came out with the results of t=9.980, p<.05. For the attitude, results showed that the answers of pregnant women under the age of 35 displayed a more positive attitude towards CAT. (t=2.421, p<.05) Lastly, in the experience section, pregnant women under the age of 35 showed more CAT use than the other sample group. Conclusion Results have shown that there is a difference in the perception, behavior, and experience between the two sample groups. Therefore further research on the efficacy and the adverse effects of CAT needs to be done.
Genetic analyses on rice blast resistant alleles derived from mutant rice lines of Namil

Narrow genetic diversity of Korean commercial rice lines have been a major limit factor in breeding new breeding lines having resistance and tolerance against biotic and abiotic stresses. Introducing novel favorable allele types could be possible through crossing with wild relatives, it demands additional tedious efforts to restore the unique genetic background of the recurrent parents, which determine commercial value in the market. Our study is preliminary based on the mutation breeding, by which agronomic traits could be acquired with the least impact on the unique haplotype of the wild type. Through screening and evaluating more than 7,000 mutant lines of Namil, a high yielding Korean japonica cultivar, several dozens of mutant lines expressing improved performances in terms of resistance or tolerance against biotic or abiotic stresses. One Sodium azide treated mutant line, Namil(SA)M2-1063-11-1-1-1-1-1-1, designated as ‘Namil(SA)-bl5’ performed high level of resistance against rice blast as well as reduced culm length. Two mapping populations, to dissect genetic basis of the blast resistance and short culm length, were constructed by using F2 progenies derives crosses between Namil(SA)-bl5 and Milyang23 and Namil(wild type) and Milyang23. Each progenies were evaluated in terms of DNA marker genotype as well as basal agronomic traits including blast resistance by using F2:3 seeds. Association analysis between marker genotype and evaluated phenotype of progeny lines were adopted to localize the putative chromosomal locations involved to culm length and blast resistance. The putative locations unique to Namil(SA)-bl5 were then elucidated through the comparisons with those of Namil x Milyang23 reference population. Tentatively, the genetic factors for reduced culm length and blast resistance were identified on chromosome 7 and chromosome 12, respectively.

Kaposi`s sarcoma (KS) is an unusual multifocal neoplasm of vascular endothelial cell origin. The trunk, arms, head, and neck are the most common sites. It is common in men and has four distinct variants: classic, Africa-endemic, immunosuppressive drug-associated, and acquired immunodeficiency syndromeassociated KS. KS appears to develop immunosuppressed patients, but is uncommon in patients on dialysis. A 79-year-old man on hemodialysis for 2 months presented with pruritus over the entire body and multiple, discrete, variable-sized, dark blue papulonodules (papuloplaques, maculopapules) on the left arm and shoulder. A biopsy specimen form the left arm showed spindle cells with slit-like spaces and extravasated red blood cells. The specimen was positive for CD 34 antigen, and human herpesvirus 8 was detected. We report a case of KS that occurred in a 79-year-old patient on hemodialysis.

Brown planthopper (BPH) is a destructive insect pest of rice in Korea. Identification and the incorporation of newBPH resistance genes into modern rice cultivars are important breeding strategies to control the damage caused by BPH. To expand genetic resource against BPH in Korea, we screened more than 2,500 mutant lines, which were derived from EMS treatment on Namil, a high yielding Korean japonica cultivar. One mutant line, Namil(EMS)M2-1463-1-1-1-1, designated as ‘Namil(EMS)-bl10,bph1’ performed high level of resistance against BPGH and rice blast, while the wild type, Namil, performed highly susceptible to rice blast as well as BPH. A mapping population was constructed by using F2 progeny lines derived from cross between Namil(EMS)-bl10,bph1 and Milyang23, a BPH susceptible Tongil type cultivar. DNAs prepared from F2 individuals were used for SSR marker based linkage map skeleton, and F2:3 seeds were subjected to BPH infestation to infer resistance level of corresponding F2 plant. Association analysis between marker genotype and evaluated survival ratio of each progeny line were used to localize the putative chromosomal location(s) involved to BPH resistance. The location was initially located on the subterminal region of the long arm of chromosome 12 flanked by the SSR markers RM1337 and RM277, where at least three BPH resistance genes, Bph1, Bph18, and Bph21, were localized previously.
