This research set the big three research-questions in order to find out how sister-relations influence on clothing-consumer sentiment and behavior. The purpose of this study was to analyze the difference of clothing-consumer sentiment and behavior according to Sisters` order of birth; toanalyze sister-relations` influence on the sharing of clothes; to analyze the extent of sisters` sharing clothes and ownership. As a result, when they have older sisters, sister-dependence of decision making is high and attitude about sharing is positive. Also the actual number of sharing clothes is more than the case of having younger sisters. Moreover when intimacy of sisters is high and their body-shapes and styles are similar, they share clothes more. Also sharing extent of outers and accessaries is high according to the less gap between sisters` age. Sharing clothes of sisters is high in T-shirts, accessaries and outer wear and ownership is indefinite when they share clothes a lot. In short, it shows that sister relations and clothing-consumer sentiment and behavior are related.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference in body fat mass and skeletal muscle mass during walking and running after resistance training based on healthy college student. One male college student (age = 25 years, Height = 175.0 cm, Weight = 86.9 kg, Body fat = 27%) volunteered to participate in the study. Body composition was assessed by bioelectrical impedance (Inbody 270, Korea). Walking exercise (4.8 km/hr, 60 min) was performed for 3 weeks, followed by running exercise (7.0 km/hr, 26 min) for 3 weeks. The experimental results are as follows. Running was more effective at dropping body weight and BMI than walking, however walking was more effective at reducing body fat (%) and increasing skeletal muscle mass (kg) than running in male college student. In conclusion, both walking and running provide benefits for body composition, and the best exercise for weight and body fat loss is the one that it actually do on a regular basis.

<P>We evaluated the clinical characteristics, cytokine/chemokine concentrations, viral shedding and antibody kinetics in 30 patients with Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS), including 6 non-survivors admitted to 3 MERS-designated hospitals. Old age, low albumin, altered mentality and high pneumonia severity index score at admission were risk factors for mortality. In addition, severe signs of inflammation at initial presentation (at hospital days 1-4), such as high inducible protein-10 (p=0.0013), monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (p=0.0007) and interleukin 6 (p=0.0007) concentrations, and poor viral control (high viral load at hospital days 5-10, p<0.001) without adequate antibody titres (low antibody titre at hospital days 11-16, p=0.07) during the course of disease, were associated with mortality.</P>

Background: Endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) is a technique developed to allow mediastinal staging of lung cancer and also to evaluate intrathoracic lymphadenopathy. In a tuberculosis-endemic area, tuberculosis should be considered as an etiology of mediastinal lymphadenopathy. The aim of this study was to investigate the utility of the routine culture for tuberculosis from specimens of EBUS-TBNA. Methods: We prospectively performed routine culture for tuberculosis from aspiration or core biopsy specimens got from 86 patients who had undergone EBUS-TBNA due to mediastinal lymphadenopathy between March 2010 and March 2011. Results: A total of 135 lymph node aspiration and 118 core biopsy specimens were included in this analysis. We confirmed the malignancy in 62 (72.9%), tuberculosis in 7 (8.1%), sarcoidosis in 7 (8.1%), asperogillosis in 2 (2.3%) and pneumoconiosis in 2 (2.3%) patients. One lung cancer patient had pulmonary tuberculosis coincidentally and 5 patients had unknown lymphadenopathy. The number of positive culture for Mycobacterium tuberculsosis by EBUS-TBNA is 2 (1.5%) from 135 lymph node aspiration specimens and 2 (1.7%) from 118 core biopsy specimens. Out of eight patients confirmed with tuberculosis, only one patient had positive mycobacterial culture of aspiration specimen from EBUS-TBNA without histopathologic diagnosis. Conclusion: These results propose that routine culture for tuberculosis from EBUS-TBNA may not provide additional information for the diagnosis of coincident tuberculous lymphadenitis. However, if there is any possibility of tuberculous lymphadenopathy or pulmonary tuberculosis, it should be considered to perform EBUS-TBNA in patients who have negative sputum AFB smears or no sputum production.

Objective To determine the immediate and short-term impact of the application of wearable balance compensation system (BCS) on balance impairment in patients with spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA). Methods The study enrolled 6 participants with SCA with varying degrees of balance impairment. After adjustment for individual fitting, wearable BCS with up to 3% body weight was placed in a garment on the trunk. Sway direction and magnitude were measured with sensors placed posteriorly at the lumbosacral junction, immediately before and after, and at day 1, day 2, and day 7 after wearing the BCS. Timed Up & Go test (TUG) and 25-foot timed walk test were performed, and static foot pressure was measured. Results A significant improvement in static and dynamic balance was found during the 25-foot timed walk and in static foot pressure measurement results after wearing the BCS, when compared with that at baseline (p=0.044 vs. p=0.011). Anterior and posterior sway showed improvements from baseline after wearing the BCS. Improvement in the lateral swaying movement control was also seen. Conclusion Application of the BCS might be beneficial in the improvement ofthe static and dynamic balance in patients with SCA. Further research on long-term effects and with a larger sample size is indicated.
Gender Differences in Susceptibility to Smoking among Patients with Lung Cancer

Background/Aims: To determine whether female smokers are more or less susceptible to the detrimental pulmonaryfunction effects of smoking when compared to male smokers among patients with lung cancer. Methods: Pack-years and pulmonary function indices were compared between 1,594 men and women with lung cancer who were smokers or had a history of smoking. Differences in individual susceptibility to smoking were estimated using a susceptibility index formula. Results: Of the patients, 959 (92.8%) men and 74 (7.2%) women were current smokers. Common histological types of lung cancer were squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, and small cell carcinoma, among others. Women had a lower number of pack-years, forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1, liters), forced vital capacity (FVC, liters), and total lung capacity (TLC, liters) compared to those of men (25.0 ± 19.2 vs. 42.9 ± 21.7 for pack-years; 1.4 ± 0.5 vs. 2.0 ± 0.6 for FEV1; 3.0 ± 0.7 vs. 2.0 ± 0.6 for FVC; 4.5 ± 0.8 vs. 5.7 ± 1.0 for TLC; all p < 0.001). The susceptibility index for women was significantly higher compared to that of men (1.1 ± 4.1 vs. 0.7 ± 1.1; p = 0.001). A significant inverse association was shown between the susceptibility index and TLC and FVC (r = -0.200 for TLC, -0.273 for FVC; all p < 0.001). Conclusions: The results suggest that the detrimental effects of smoking on pulmonary function are greater in women, as compared to those in men, among patients with lung cancer.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>We have developed an improved analytical method for the determination of sugar phosphates using sodium carbonate (Na<SUB>2</SUB>CO<SUB>3</SUB>) for high-performance anion-exchange chromatography–pulsed amperometric detection. The target analytes were separated completely within 10min using eluent containing 20mM NaOH and 35mM Na<SUB>2</SUB>CO<SUB>3</SUB>. The limit of detection (S/N=3) and quantitation (S/N=10) for analytes were 10–30ng/mL and 35–100ng/mL, respectively. Linear dynamic range was 1–30μg/mL (<I>r</I><SUP>2</SUP>≥0.9998). The RSDs for intra- and inter-day assays were found to be of satisfactory results (0.23–3.09%), and the recoveries from blood spots were 97.62–99.69%.</P>
