데이터 글러브를 이용한 손 제스처 기반 3차원 게임 구현

데이터 글러브(Data Glove)는 손 제스처를 정의하여 시스템을 제어하는 입력장치로 가상현실기술 및 교육, 의료, 산업분야에서 많이 사용되고 있다. 이는 가상현실 속에 존재하는 사물을 현실에서 제어하게 함으로써 사용자에게 마치 현실 세계의 사물을 제어하는 느낌을 주는 장점을 가지고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이러한 데이터 글러브의 장점을 이용하여 3차원 게임에 적용시키는 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 데이터 글러브로 제스처를 정의하고, 트래커(Tracker)와 연동하여 시스템을 구현한다. 구현된 시스템을 실험하기 위해서 OpenGL로 인형 뽑기 게임을 구현하고 사용자가 데이터 글러브를 착용 후 정의된 제스처를 통해 게임을 제어하도록 한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법은 사용자들에게 좀 더 높은 몰입감을 제공하며, 향후 게임 산업 발전에도 많은 영향을 줄 것으로 기대한다.

Muscle fatigue is a symptom that decreases your muscles’ ability to perform over time. It can be associated with a state of exhaustion, often following excessive sports activity or exercise. While exercise is a common cause of muscle fatigue, this symptom can be the result of other health conditions. Muscle fatigue caused by excessive activity limits activities of daily living and difficult to maintain a stable posture. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of stretching, icing, and sports massage on muscle fatigue recovery.

자연의 아름다움과 고급스러움이 공존하는 마임 비에타 쇼룸 제안 -오감 (시각, 청각, 후각, 촉각, 미각)을 중심으로-

본 연구는 국내 브랜드 ‘마임'의 뷰티와 연계한 뷰티 쇼룸을 제안함에 있어서 공간속에 오감을 담아내는 일련의 프로세스를 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 이는 브랜드가 소유하고 있는 다양한 감각과 가치가 결여된 채 시각적 요소만이 담긴 브랜드 뷰티 쇼룸이 대다수를 차지하는 오늘날, 이에 대한 문제를 해결하기 위해 ’융합 연출 디자인'적 시점에서 폭넓게 바라보고 브랜드의 정신과 오감의 결합을 통해 이를 해결하고자 하였다. 이에 본 연구는 2017년 3월~6월 15주간 숙명여대 환경디자인학과 <융합연출 디자인>수업에서 진행된 수업의 결과물로서 산학 연계된 화장품 브랜드의 쇼룸디자인 개발 프로세스를 제안한다. 또한 본 연구의 범위는 오감을 담고 있는 뷰티 쇼룸(4D)이 되기까지의 과정 전체로 한다. 그 결과, 마임 뷰티쇼룸은 공간 디자인과 오감을 융합하여 영상에서 공간에 이르기까지 오감의 조화와 브랜드의 정신을 녹여내고 확장시켰다. 끝으로 본 연구는 뷰티 쇼룸 공간 디자인을 제안함에 있어서 오감을 활용하여 통합된 시점에서 그래픽·제품·공간을 개발 및 제시한 것에 의의가 있다. 또한 향후 이와 관련된 쇼룸 공간 개발에 있어서 기초 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

The causes of pyogenic liver abscess has been known as biliary tract disease or intrabadominal infection but the large proportions of the patients has no apparent underlying disorders. Recently colonic mucosal lesions were reported in patients with cryptogenic liver abscess and it has been suggested that colonic mucosal break may play a role in developing liver abscess in otherwise healthy patients. We experienced a patient of severe recurrent liver abscess complicated with endophthalmitis only 3 months after successful treatment of initial cryptogenic liver abscess and a polypoid colon cancer was discovered by chance. It seems prudent to proceed colonoscopic examination in patients with cryptogenic liver abscess especially when it is recurrent.

사무직 근로자의 수면의 질 및 직무스트레스와 우울과의 관련성

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the degree of depression, sleep quality, job stress and their association among office workers. Method: A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to 147 workers employed in 5 big enterprises, and 5 small and medium enterprises from October 21 to November 21, 2012. The questionnaires included socio-demographic and health-related characteristics, job-related characteristics, sleep quality, job stress (KOSS) and depression (CES-D). Result: Among all subjects, 23.1% was in the depression group (21 points and over in the CES-D score). Depressive level was positively correlated with job stress and quality of sleep. The adjusted odd ratio for the effects of sleep quality and job stress on depression significantly increased in the depression group compared to that of the normal group. Multiple regression analysis revealed that the following factors of influence had combined explanatory powers on depression: BMI, life satisfaction, quality of sleep, and job stress. Conclusion: The study revealed that complicated influences were exerted on the level of depression by variable factors, as well as socio-demographic characteristics, health-related characteristics, quality of sleep, and job stress. Specifically, the level of depression was influenced by the quality of sleep and job stress.

Sebaceous carcinoma arising from sebaceoma

Sebaceous neoplasms are rare adnexal tumors that can present a challenge to clinicians. Only four cases of sebaceous carcinoma with sebaceoma have been reported in the literature. Herein, we describe the case of a sebaceous carcinoma originating from a sebaceoma in a solitary nodule of the posterior neck. Immunohistochemically, the tumor cells were strongly positive for epithelial membrane antigen and p53. It is possible that adnexal carcinomas may arise from malignant transformation of their benign counterparts as well as de novo. Malignant transformation was likely in this case because the lesion was composed of distinct benign and malignant components, and the benign component showed the typical histopathological features of sebaceoma. This case underscores the fact that partial and superficial biopsies sometimes may not provide the correct diagnosis. If a surgeon suspects malignancy based on a clinical examination, then it is mandatory to perform a deep biopsy.

Bidirectional Transcriptome Analysis of Rat Bone Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells and Activated Microglia in an <i>In Vitro</i> Coculture System

<P>Microglia contribute to the regulation of neuroinflammation and play an important role in the pathogenesis of brain diseases. Thus, regulation of neuroinflammation triggered by activated microglia in brain diseases has become a promising curative strategy. Bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) have been shown to have therapeutic effects, resulting from the regulation of inflammatory conditions in the brain. In this study, we investigated differential gene expression in rat BM-MSCs (rBM-MSCs) that were cocultured with lipopolysaccharide- (LPS-) stimulated primary rat microglia using microarray analysis and evaluated the functional relationships through Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA). We also evaluated the effects of rBM-MSC on LPS-stimulated microglia using a reverse coculture system and the same conditions of the transcriptomic analysis. In the transcriptome of rBM-MSCs, 67 genes were differentially expressed, which were highly related with migration of cells, compared to control. The prediction of the gene network using IPA and experimental validation showed that LPS-stimulated primary rat microglia increase the migration of rBM-MSCs. Reversely, expression patterns of the transcriptome in LPS-stimulated primary rat microglia were changed when cocultured with rBM-MSCs. Our results showed that 65 genes were changed, which were highly related with inflammatory response, compared to absence of rBM-MSCs. In the same way with the aforementioned, the prediction of the gene network and experimental validation showed that rBM-MSCs decrease the inflammatory response of LPS-stimulated primary rat microglia. Our data indicate that LPS-stimulated microglia increase the migration of rBM-MSCs and that rBM-MSCs reduce the inflammatory activity in LPS-stimulated microglia. The results of this study show complex mechanisms underlying the interaction between rBM-MSCs and activated microglia and may be helpful for the development of stem cell-based strategies for brain diseases.</P>

Interacelluar reprogramming of expression, glycosylation, and function of plant-derived anti-virus therapeutic monoclonal antibody

Plant genetic engineering has led to production of plant-derived mAb (mAbP), which can provides a safe and economically effective alternative to the conventional antibody expression methods. In this study, the expression levels of mAbP SO57 with or without ER-retention peptide extensions signal (Lys-Asp-Glu-Leu; KDEL) in transgenic tobacco plants were analysed in transgenic plant. The expression levels of mAbP SO57 with KDEL were significantly higher than that without KDEL regardless of transcription level. mAbP SO57 with KDEL localized surround to the nucleus suggesting that the mAbP with KDEL is localized in ER. The mAbP without KDEL and mAbH had mainly Golgi type glycans, whereas the ER-localized mAbP with KDEL had glycan profile with both oligomannose type (47.6%) and Golgi type (52.4%). The Fc domains of both purified mAbP (with and without KDEL) and human-derived mAb (mAbH) had similar bingding activity to the Fcγ RI receptor (CD64). Both mAbP (with and without KDEL) had a shorter half-life than mAbH. However, both mAbP with and without KDEL was as effective at neutralizing activity of the rabies virus CVS-11 as the mAbH. These results suggest that ER localization of recombinant mAbP by KDEL reprograms glycosylation and enhances production of the functional antivirus therapeutic antibody in the plant.

A Study on the Spectral Transmittance of UV-Blocking Contact Lenses

목적 : 국내에서 유통되고 있는 하이드로겔 콘택트렌즈의 광투과율을 측정하여 가시광선 및 자외선 차단 기준 규격에 부합하는지 알아보고자 하였다. 방법 : 자외선 차단 표시가 있는 콘택트렌즈를 포함한 하이드로겔 콘택트렌즈 14종을 임의로 선정하였다. 실험 렌즈의 광투과율 측정범위는 가시광선, UV-A 및 UV-B로 하였다. 가시광선은 ANSI Z80.20:2004를 참고하였고, 자외선은 ISO 와 FDA 기준을 참고하여 비교하였다. 자외선 차단 표시가 있는 렌즈의 경우 기준에 따라 Class 1, Class 2로 분류하였다. 결과 : 실험렌즈 14종의 가시광선 광투과율 측정결과 투명 콘택트렌즈 7종 중 4종의 렌즈는 88% 이하로 나타났 으나, 범위에 크게 벗어나지 않았다. 그리고 컬러 콘택트렌즈는 7종 모두 70% 이상으로 나타나 기준규격에 부합하 였다. 자외선 투과율 측정결과 자외선 차단 표시가 있는 콘택트렌즈 10종 중 3종(UD-4, 5, 6)은 UV-A에서 86.67~ 88.59%, UV-B에서 82.41~83.72%로 나타났다. 이 렌즈들의 자외선 광투과율 값은 ISO 및 FDA 기준규격에 부 합하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 : 국내 유통되고 있는 자외선 차단 콘택트렌즈 중 ISO 및 FDA 기준규격에 부합하지 않은 제품이 존재하 는 것으로 나타났으며, 모두 국내제품인 것으로 나타났다. Purpose : The purpose of this study was to measure the spectral transmittance of domestic hydrogel contact lenses, and to find out if they meet the standards of visible light and UV-blocking spectral transmittance. Methods : Hydrogel contact lenses including UV-blocking contact lenses were randomly selected in this study. The range of spectral transmittance measurement in the experimental lenses was set to visible light, UV-A and UV-B. Visible light transmittance was based on ANSI Z80.20:2004. And the UV spectral transmittance was compared to the UV-blocking contact lenses standards applied by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). UV-blocking contact lenses were classified as Class 1 and Class 2 according to the standards. Results : As a result of measuring visible light transmittance of 14 types of experimental lenses, 4 transparent contact lenses showed 88% or less, but did not deviate significantly from the range. And all 7 types of color contact lenses were measured to be over 70% and met the standards. In the spectral transmittance of UV, the UD-4, 5, 6 lenses among the 10 types of UV-blocking contact lenses showed the range of a spectral transmittance of 86.67~88.59% and 82.41~83.47% for UV-A and UV-B, respectively. These UV wavelength values were found to be non-compliant with ISO and FDA UV-blocking standards. Conclusion : It shows that some UV-blocking contact lenses do not meet ISO and FDA UVblocking standards, and they were all domestic products.
