K. pneumoniae의 nif 유전자 발현에 미치는 glnA산물(GS)의 영향을 살펴보기 앞서 K. pneumoniae의 GS를 분리·정제하여 그 성질을 조사하였다. K. pneumoniae의 GS는 분자량 약 600,000의 12개 동일 subunit으로 구성되어져 있으며 최적 반응 pH 및 온도는 각기 pH 7.0, 37℃였고 pH5∼8 사이에서 활성의 변화가 크지 않았으며 57℃에서 10분간 열처리할 때 50%의 활성 감소가 나타났다. 또 암모니아 농도의 변화에 따라 adenylylation-deadenylylation 기작에 의한 활성조절기작이 E. coli GS와 동일 했으며 anti-E. coli GS 항체를 이용한 immunodiffusion에서도 K. pneumoniae GS가 E. coli GS와 혈청학적으로 매우 유사함이 드러났다. Glutamine synthetase (GS) of Klebsiella pneumoniae was purified and identified it's properties. It was determined to be composed of 12 identical subunits and it's molecular weight was about 600,000. It's optimum pH and temperature were identified as pH 7.0 and 37℃ respectively, and also there was no considerable variation of activity between pH 5 and 8. When GS was incubated at 57℃ for 10 min, it's activity was decreased to half of maximum activity. It was observed that K. pneumoniae has adenylylation-deadenylylation system which regulates activity of GS according to the quality and quantity of nitrogen source like GS of E. coli. Also it's GS was very similar to that of E. coli. in structure deduced from the immunodiffusion experiment using anti-E. coli GS antibody.

Based on a sample of 310 Chinese and South Korea employees of 70 teams or departments in one Korean transnational corporation in China, this study was designed to examine the influence of benevolent leadership on employee engagement, and investigate the mediating role of perceived organizational support as well as the moderating role of locus of control in the linkages between benevolent leadership and employee engagement under the cross-cultural context by structured questionnaires. Results of hierarchical regression analysis revealed that benevolent leadership existed among South Korean leaders under cross-cultural context. In particular, it had a significant positive influence on employee engagement. And this influence was partly mediated by perceived organizational support. In addition, results of moderated path analysis suggested that employees` locus of control significantly moderated the relationship between benevolent leadership and employee engagement. Meanwhile, the whole indirect effects of benevolent leadership on employee engagement mediated by perceived organizational support and the total effect were also higher when employee was prone to be external locus of control.

A chemical investigation of a Korean marine sponge, Phorbas sp., yielded unprecedented sesterterpenoids phorone A (1) andisophorbasone A (2) along with ansellone B (3) and phorbasone A acetate (4). Their complete structures were elucidated by the combination of spectroscopic data and chemical manipulation. Phorone A (1) and isophorbasone A (2) have the new "phorane"(5) and "isophorbasane"(6) sesterterpenoid carbon skeletons, respectively. Ansellone B (3) and phorbasone A acetate (4) exhibited potent inhibitory activity on nitric oxide production in RAW 264.7 LPS-activated mouse macrophage cells with IC(50) values of 4.5 and 2.8 μM, respectively.

Carrier injection and charge loss characteristics of nonvolatile memories with chemically-synthesized (CS) and vacuum-deposited (VD) gold nanoparticles (Au-NPs) have been investigated. Compared to CS counterparts, the memories with VD Au-NPs exhibit a higher dot density of 3.77 × 1011 cm-2, leading to a larger memory window. Further, the energy from valence-band edge to vacuum level (EVB_vac) of tunneling oxide for the samples with CS and VD Au-NPs is found to be 9.04 and 9.85 eV respectively. The small EVB_vac value of the memories with CS Au-NPs is resulted from the formation of a thin chemical oxide (SiOx) on thermally-grown SiO2 tunneling layer during the chemically synthesized process, contributing to a slow erasing behavior. Besides, the programming of the memories with VD Au-NPs is saturated at high gate bias, which has been well-explained by the electrons induced potential coupling between Au-NPs. Superior data retention property and high temperature dependence of charge loss are observed for the memories with CS Au-NPs, which can be ascribed to the thick tunneling oxide layer by the additional SiOx film.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to explore non-steroid anti-inflammation drugs (NSAIDs) potency for pelvic floor muscle pain by measuring local concentration in a rat model. Materials and Methods: We used nine NSAIDs, including nabumetone,naproxen, ibuprofen, meloxicam, piroxicam, diclofenac potassium, etodolac, indomethacin, and sulindac, and 9 groups of female Wister rats. Each group of rats was fed with one kind of NSAID (2 mg/mL) for three consecutive days. Thereafter, one mL of blood and one gram of pelvic floor muscle were taken to measure drug pharmacokinetics, including partition coefficient, lipophilicity, elimination of half-life (T1/2) and muscle/plasma converting ratio (Css, muscle/Css, plasma). Results: Diclofenacpotassium had the lowest T1/2 and the highest mean Css, muscle/Css, plasma (1.9 hours and 0.85±0.53, respectively). The mean Css, muscle/Css, plasma of sulindac, naproxen and ibuprofen were lower than other experimental NSAIDs. Conclusion: Diclofenac potassium had the highest disposition in pelvic floor muscle in a rat model. The finding implies that diclofenac potassium might be the choice for pain relief in pelvicmuscle.
Learning Curve Of Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES) hysterectomy

Background: Natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (NOTES) hysterectomy is an advanced minimally invasive procedure with less complications and better perioperative outcomes. However, it is more technically challenging, when compared to conventional laparoscopic procedures, and predisposed to require additional training period to ensure technical proficiency. This study aims to analyze the learning curve for NOTES hysterectomy. Methods: From April 2011 to December 2015, 240 NOTES hysterectomies were performed by a single surgeon. Data including preoperative, perioperative and postoperative variables were consecutively collected and analyzed. The learning curve was analyzed with cumulative sum method by taking operative time into account. Results: Mean operative time was 76 minutes (range 35-150) and mean intraoperative blood loss was 167 ml (range 20-900). The learning curve based on operative time for NOTES hysterectomy was categorized into 4 phases: Phase I as the initial learning period (cases 1-20), phase II as the technical competence period (cases 21-100), phase III (101-180) as the trough period and phase IV as the challenging period (cases 180-240). The operative time reached a low trough at phase II after its significant decrease within phase I, while it was observed to rise along with uterine weight in phase III. There were no significant differences in postoperative complications or hospitalization among the four phases. Conclusions: Our study suggested that the learning curve of NOTES hysterectomy consisted of four phases. Experience of 20 cases would be required to achieve technical competence to perform NOTES hysterectomy.

본 논문은 대형(MW 급) LNG 전기추진선박 시스템의 동적 · 정적 특성에 대해 다룬다. 특히, 선박 항해 시와 LNG Unloading시에 대해 전력조류해석(정특성 해석)으로 시스템 모델링의 타당성을 검증하였다. 아울러, LNG Unloading에 대한 Cargo Pump 기동시 시스템의 전압변동률 및 발전기의 주파수(속도)변화를 관찰하였으며, PID제어기로 구성된 발전기 Governor의 파라미터를 설계하기 위해 실제 항해시 발생할 수 있는 몇 가지 상황(발전기 및 추진전동기 Trip)의 과도안정도해석을 수행하였다. 따라서 전동기 기동해석 및 과도안정도해석(동특성 해석)으로 발전기 및 추진전동기의 전압안정성을 관찰하였다.

Basically, we perform to verify the adequacy of system modeling on the sea going mode and LNG unloading mode based on load flow analysis. And then, we observe thε dynamic characteristic of system to perform motor starting analysis and transient stability analysis. Particularly, this paper examine analysis results in comparison with the IEEE standard 141 and the class rule. Hence, this paper has evaluated stability of the electric ship propulsion system at static and dynamic conditions.
