Purpose: Continuous irrigation method is an important step in managing wound infection. V.A.C. devices have been used in intractable wounds for reducing discharge, improving local blood flow, and promoting healthy granulation tissue. We expect synergistic effects of reduced infection and more satisfactory, accelerated wound healing when using both methods simultaneously. This study evaluated continuous irrigation combined with V.A.C. appliance for treatment of infected chronic wounds. Methods: We reviewed data from 17 patients with infected intractable chronic wounds. V.A.C. device (Group A) was used in 9 patients, and V.A.C. with antibiotics irrigation (Group B) was used in 8 patients. We placed Mepitel$^{(R)}$ on the surface of wound and placed an irrigation and aspiration tube on each side. A sponge was placed on the Mepitel$^{(R)}$ and covered with film dressing. The wound was irrigated continuously with mixed antibiotics solution at the speed of 200 cc/hr and aspirated through the wall suction at the pressure of -125 mmHg. V.A.C. applied time, wound culture and wound size were compared between the two groups. Results: No complication were seen in two groups. Compared with Group A, in the Group B, V.A.C. applied time was shortened from 32.7 days to 25.6 days and showed efficacy in the reduction rate of wound size. No statistical differences were shown in bacterial reversion. Conclusion: V.A.C. appliance with continuous irrigation is an effective new method of managing infected chronic wounds and useful to reduce treatment duration and decrease wound size. Moreover it could be applied more widely to infected wound.

The storage sac of U. unicinctus can be divided into two parts morphologically as well as functionally ; one is proximal and the other distal storage sac. It is because of the seasonal morphological change of the storage sac caused by sperm accumulation in the storage sac. The proximal storage sac contains the mature sperm with the dumbbell-shaped acrosome and well developed one or two mitochondria in the middle piece, whilst the sperm of hemispherical acrosome associate closely with an accessory cell in the distal storage sac. This means that the sperm do not perform the synchronous development in a storage sac, which is not the case of sperm development in the coelomic cytophorus. In addition, the basal membrane of the distal storage sac is different from that of the proximal storage sac in term of tissue formation. Connective tissues, acces-sory cells and small lumen develop on the basal membrane of the distal sto-rage sac, which is well contrasted with the thin basal membrane of the proximal storage sac. The function of the storage sac is discussed in rela-tion of the sperm development and the seasonal change.

To enhance the viscosity and thermal resistance of DGEBA epoxy resin, a phenol novolac-type epoxy resin was added to a hot melt-type epoxy prepreg. The mixtures of DGEBA solid and liquid epoxy resin, and phenol novolac epoxy resin were prepared with different mixing ratios. The effect of the mixing ratio on the curing behavior, thermal stability and viscosity of the blended epoxy resin was investigated. The curing behavior did not vary significantly with the mixing ratio. The activation energy increased as the content of phenol novolac-type epoxy resin was increased up to 40 wt%. The thermal resistance and viscosity of the mixed epoxy resin increased significantly when the phenol novolac-type epoxy resin and solid epoxy resin occupied more than 20 wt%.

Carbon fiber/polyamide 6 (CF/PA6) composites were prepared via film melt impregnation and their crystallization and mechanical properties were studied. The non-isothermal crystallization behavior and mechanical properties of polyamide 6 and CF/PA6 were investigated at different cooling rates. The crystallization time of CF/PA6 decreased depending on the cooling rate compared to that of polyamide 6. The carbon fibers likely acted as nucleating agents in the polyamide 6 matrix. The flexural strength of the composites increased when manufactured at lower cooling rates due to the effects of increased crystallinity as the crystallization continued for a long time. In addition, as the cooling rate increased, the impact resistance increased.

이 논문은 유교 내에서 신체에 대한 관념이 어떻게 표현될 수 있는지를 조선 중기의 학자인 여헌 장현광의 철학을 통해서 궁구해 보고자 하였다. 여헌은 성리학의 이기론에 있어서 경위설과 같은 독창적인 이론을 통해서 이기(理氣)의 관계를 그 일체적 측면에서 고찰하고 있는데 신체관에 있어서도 이러한 모습을 잘 보여 주고 있다. 여헌은 현상세계를 사물과 사건의 연속으로 보면서 그 가운데 리(理)와 기(氣)가 스스로 그러하지 않음이 없다고 생각하였다. 리와 기는 현상세계를 설명하는 두 가지 보편적인 개념인데 리는 현상세계를 유기적인 전체로 만드는 형이상적 실체로서 현상세계의 온갖 조화와 변화의 근거가 되는 것이며 기는 리에서 나와서 사물과 사건을 만들어 내는 질료이다. 신체는 사물의 하나로서 리가 기를 내어서 이루어진 최종적인 산물이라고 할 수 있다. 리가 기를 낳아서 처음 만들어낸 사물은 하늘과 땅인데 하늘은 기를 형체로 하고 땅은 질을 형체로 하고 있으며 신체는 기와 질을 모두 받아서 형체로 갖는 것이다. 인간의 신체는 이러한 형체를 바탕으로 감각 작용, 호흡, 혈기, 정신, 혼백과 같은 기적 요소와 감각기관, 내장기관이나 사지와 같은 질적 요소가 대소, 내외, 상하의 구조를 이루고 있다. 특히 심장에는 신(神)이 있어서 신명과 지각의 작용을 하는데 이것이 형체가 갖는 마음이라고 할 수 있으며 다른 신체 기관을 바탕으로 한 몸을 통관하고 주재하는 역할을 한다. 이러한 신체의 궁극적인 실체는 리이며 리는 신체를 유기적인 하나로 작용하게 하는 것이다. 여헌은 이렇게 신체에 부여된 리를 성이라고 부르는데 특히 리가 신체를 통해서 행해지는 것을 도라고 하였다. 인간은 신체를 가짐으로써 타고난 분수를 갖게 된다. 도는 형기의 분수를 다하는 것이라고 할 수 있는데 특히 인간에 있어서는 언행으로 드러난다고 한다. 여헌의 신체관은 신체와 마음뿐만 아니라 형이상적 실체인 리와의 일체성을 잘 보여 주고 있으며 리가 몸에서 실현되는 것을 도라고 하여 가치론적 해석을 내린다고 말할 수 있다. The study in this paper is how the human body can be represented in the Confucian idea, especially through the philosophy of Yeoheon Jang Hyeon-Gwang, mid-Joseon scholar. Yeoheon`s study in Neo-Confucian theory of li(理) and gi(氣), called gyeongwiseol(經緯說), shows the inseparable relationship of li and gi, and his views of the human body are thought in same idea. Yeoheon thinks the phenomenal world is the sequence of things and events and li and gi make so for themselves in that. Li and gi are two universal concepts to explain the phenomenal world, and li is a metaphysical entity to make the phenomenal world an organic whole and is the basis of creation and change of the phenomenal world, and gi originates in li and becomes a matter to create things and events. The body is one of the things and can be thought of the final product what is made up by li and gi. The first group made ??up by li and gi is heaven and earth, and heaven has the shape of gi and earth has the shape of zil(質) and the human body has the shape of gi and zil. In the human body, factors having the shape of gi are sensory activity, respiration, blood force, jeong(精), syn(神), hon(魂), vag(魄) and so on, and factors having the shape of zil are sense organs, internal organs, extremities and so on, and they make big, small, inner, outer, top, and bottom structure. In particular, there is syn in heart, which works as a deity and makes perception, and this is spirit in shape, which relates and supervises all the body. The human body` ultimate entity is li and it makes the body is a organic one. Yeoheon calls li given to the body seong(性), and especially calls li realized in the body tao(道). By having the body human have one`s lot. Tao can be thought that one`s lot is realized, and especially one`s lot of human beings can be realized by words and actions. Yeoheon`s views of the human body show the consubstantiality of the human body, spirit, and li as metaphysical entity, and that he thinks tao is realization of li in the human body seems to be an interpretation from a point of view of the theory of value.
Analysis of Scout images for Dose modulation

목적: 본 연구의 목적은 Scout 영상이 Dose modulation에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 효과적인 Scout영상의 획득방법을 제시 하고자 한다. 대상 및 방법: Anthropomorphic phantom을 서로 다른 4가지 장비(1.GE; Discovery HD750, 2.Philips; Ingenuity, 3.SIEMENS; Definition, 4.Toshiba; Aquillion) 를 이용하여 다양한 노출 조건(80~140kvp, 10~50mA)을 설정하여 Scout 영상을 얻어 각각의 dose modulation의 특징을 분석하였다. 또한 임상에서 Scout 영상을 획득할 때 나타날 수 있는 여러 가지 상황(Tube position, Table위치, 환자 위치, foreign body, Scan direction, Scout lack)을 고려하여 시나리오를 구성하고 이에 따른 변화를 분석하였다. 결과: G사의 경우 Scout 영상의 80kVp와 10mA를 사용시 불안정 하여 선량이 증가 되었고120kVp와 30mA에서 안정적인 Dose modulation을 나타냈다. P, S, T사의 경우 kVp와 mA변화에 따른 영향이 없었고 120kVp에서 안정적인 Dose modulation을 나타냈다. 또한 4가지 장비 모두 Scout kVp와 Scan kVp와의 연관성은 없었다. Scout scenario는 G사의 경우 Bismuth포함, Table up-down, Tube position에서 차이를 보였고 P사의 경우 Tube position, Scout lack 6.6cm, 환자 중심이동에서 차이를 보였다. S사의 경우 Table 4cm updown, Tube position, Scan direction에서 차이가 나타났고 T사의 경우 Bismuth포함, Table 4cm up-down, Tube position(bottom, Lat), 환자 중심이동을 제외한 이외의 항목에서는 큰 변화는 없었다. 결론: CT scout 촬영의 검사 조건에 따라 dose modulation은 다양한 변화가 있으며 각 장비 회사 별로 특징을 파악하고 검사 목적에 따라 세부적인 Scout protocol 관리가 필요하다. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze scout images for dose modulation by using anthropomorphic chest phantom and plan to establish an effective guideline for CT scout images. Materials and methods: Four different MDCT: GE(Discovery), Philips(Ingenuity), Siemens(Definition), Toshiba(Aquillion) were used for this study. Anthropomorphic chest phantom was scanned at various kVp, mA (80~140kVp and 10~50mA) with dose modulation for scout images. Also various scenarios (Tube position, table level, patient position, scan direction, scout lack, and foreign body) were planned considering clinical circumstance and obtained analyzed dose modulation data. Results: Despite a no significant difference in dose modulation by using variety of scout energy ranging from 80kvp~140kVp to 10mA~50mA excepting GE (80kvp and 10mA), we can find 120kVp scout is much better stable than the others during phantom experiments. The results of scenarios, GE: bismuth, table up-down, tube position showed significantly different dose modulation others were not. Philips: scout lack and patient position showed differences. Siemens: table up- down, tube position, scan direction showed differences. In Toshiba bismuth table up- down, tube position (bottom, Lat), patient position showed differences Conclusion: According to CT Scout scan conditions, Dose modulation show wide variation. Therefore we recommend research characteristics of each machines and scout protocol management is required.
