鐵骨 半剛接 보-기둥 接合部의 回轉擧動에 관한 比較硏究

철골 구조물에서, 보-기둥 접합부의 설계와 구조해석은 건물 전체의 안정성 확보와 경계성에 큰 요인으로 작용한다. 일반적인 보-기둥 접합부의 해석은 완전한 강접합이나 핀 접합으로 가정하여 수행하고 있으나 실제적으로는 휨에 대하여 어느 정도의 강성을 갖고 있는 반강접 접합부가 자주 적용되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 비선형 구조해석 프로그램인 ADINA에 적용하여 반강접 접합부의 강성을 밝혀내며, 7가지 형태로 분류된 접합방법에 대해 강성을 비교 분석하고 실험결과로 검증하여 ADINA의 적용방법의 제시와 함께 그 타당성을 입증하였다. The conventional analysis and design of steel frameworks usually carried out under the assumption that the connections joining the beams to the columns are either fully rigid or ideally pinned. In practice, the most steel frames have been composed of the semi-rigid connections because the most connections exhibit a certain degree of flexibility under loads. In this research, the prediction of rotational stiffness of semi-rigid connection using common structural analysis program, ADINA(Automatic Dynamic Incremental Nonlinear Analysis) can be performed, without carrying out experiment or analytical model. The comparison of rotational rigidity about for seven types of connection was shown, also, the connection types using both angle and end-plate, are testified by test data and analytical model.

Citrin deficiency caused by the SLC25A13 gene mutations is associated with both neonatal-onset type II citrullinemia (CTLN2), also known as neonatal intrahepatic cholestasis caused by citrin deficiency and adult-onset CTLN2. Neonatal-onset CTLN2 is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by poor growth, intrahepatic cholestasis, and increased serum citrulline. A 16-days old infant with hyperammonemia was referred for evaluation of increased plasma citrulline diagnosed using tandem mass spectrometry. Blood amino acid analysis showed significant elevation of citrulline. Mild elevation in serum galactose levels had been found. DNA analysis of the SLC25A13 gene in this patient showed two novel compound heterozygous mutations, c.221C>T in exon4 and c.1645C in exon16 (p.[Ser74Phe]+[Gln549X]). We suggest that infants with a high serum citrulline level on a tandem mass screening test are candidates for gene analysis and blood amino acid analysis for neonatal-onset CTLN2.

Objectives: This study developed and validated reference materials (RMs) to analyze metal compounds in blood. Methods: We referred to KoNEHS (Korea National Environmental Health Survey) to estimate concentrations of blood metals (cadmium, Cd; lead, Pb; mercury, Hg) and applied analytical methods (inductively coupled plasma – mass spectroscopy, ICP-MS, for Cd and Pb; graphite furnace – atomic absorption spectrometry, GFAAS, for Cd and Pb; and direct mercury analyzer, DMA, for Hg). Homogeneity and stability tests were carried out. In addition, certified values and uncertainties of RMs were calculated through internal and external experiments. All RMs were developed and assessed in various forms according to element, analytical method, and two types of concentration levels high concentration for occupational exposure and low concentration for environmental exposure. Results: All samples showed acceptable homogeneity, except for low concentration of Cd in the GF-AAS method. Short- and long-term stabilities were satisfied by ANOVA testing. In the inter-laboratory comparison, robust medians were lower than the certified values of all RMs (robust median/reference value; 1.301/1.327 µg/L for Cd, ICP-MS, low concentration; 3.152/3.388 µg/L for Cd, ICP-MS, high concentration; 1.219/1.301 µg/L for Cd, GF-AAS, low concentration; 3.074/3.321 µg/L for Cd, GF-AAS, high concentration; 14.473/14.516 µg/L for Pb, ICP-MS, low concentration; 50.069/50.114 µg/L for Pb, ICP-MS, high concentration; 12.881/14.147 µg/L for Pb, GF-AAS, low concentration; 47.015/47.591 µg/L for Pb, GF-AAS, high concentration; 4.059/4.218 µg/L for Hg, DMA, low concentration; 11.474/11.181 µg/L for Hg, DMA, high concentration). Conclusion: This study demonstrates procedures for developing and validating RMs for biomonitoring in the field of the environmental health.

Objectives: Medical doctors require outstanding communication skills when meeting with their patients. Thus medical student need to education and training about medical communication skill. More attention is being given to the subject but not many studies have been done in the medical education field. As communication skills are provided to students as a subject in medical educational curriculum, the assessment of its effectiveness needs to be undertaken. Methods: In the year 2010 and 2011, first-year medical students at The Kosin University College of Medicine took 'Communication skills' course in total, 154 first-year medical students survey results was the modified and translated version of 'Beyer-Fetzer's Essential Elements of Communication Skills Assessment Sheet'. The assessment sheets were used as the pre-test and post-test to analyse the differences, which were put through the paired t-test. Results: All categories of communication skills showed an improvement. For year 2010, a statistically significant difference was shown into the 22 questions, whereas in 2011, improvements were shown in all questions. Conclusions: From the result, it is clear that in order to create an effective communication skills program, the content should be more structured and focused on the program objectives.

Background: Metformin is an effective oral antihyperglycaemic agent for type 2 diabetes mellitus, with a variety of metabolic effects. In addition to controlling blood glucose level, it has been appeared to decrease the long-period complications of diabetes, including macrovascular disease. Few reports have addressed the metabolite profiling of metformin. The study was to evaluate if targeted metabolic profiling approach is sensitive enough to predict the therapeutic effects of metformin after a single oral dose. Methods: A randomized, open-label, single-dose study was conducted in twenty eight healthy Korean male volunteers. To determine the concentrations of endogenous metabolites in their pre-dose and post-dose plasma samples, blood samples were collected before and at 2 and 6 h after a single oral dose of 500 mg metformin. Both Modular P/Modular D analyzer and ultra-performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS)-based metabolic profiling was performed. Results: We quantified pre-dose and post-dose creatinine, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), lactic acid, 7 amino acids (lysine, glutamic acid, alanine, valine, leucine, phenylalanine, tryptophan), and 5 lysophosphatidylcholines (14:0, 16:0, 17:0, 18:0, and 18:1) using autoanalyser and UPLC-MS/MS. The postdose levels of alanine, lactic acid, glutamic acid, lysine, valine, leucine, phenylalanine, tryptophan, and lysoPC (18:1) were slightly decreased with statistical significance, but there is no clinical significance. Conclusion: In order to explore the potential endogenous metabolites associated with the therapeutic effects of metformin, further study including non-targeted (global) metabolite profiling is needed.
