In this paper, we propose a system to detect spatial structures in land cover maps and to detect time-series spatial structure changes. At first, the proposed system detects patches in a certain area at different times and calculates their measures to analyse spatial structure patterns of the area. Then the system conducts patch mapping among the detected time-series patches and decides 6 types of patch changes such as keeping, creating, disappearing, splitting, merging, and changing in a mixed way. Also, the system stores the patch-based spatial structure patterns of time-series land cover maps in binary form to extract changes. This demonstrated that the proposed change detection system can be used as a basis for planning the reconstruction of the urban spatial structure by measuring the degree of urban sprawl.

본 증례에서 처럼 구강과 피부 또는 인두와 피부의 복합 결손은 내측 점막재건 및 피부의 외측부분을 함께 재건해야 하는데, 저자들이 사용한 진도서형의 양면 대흉근 피판이 아주 유용한 방법으로, 수술시간도 짧고 피판의 혈관경도 믿을 수 있어 대단히 안전한 피판으로 사료된다. Background and Objectives: Oro-and pharyngocutaneous fistula after irradiation can lead to extensive wound necrosis and fetal complication such as carotid rutpure. So, there is a need to clean and cover the wound rapidly in these compromised patients. Pectoralis major myocutaneous (PMMC) flap has been presented for reconstruction of complex defects in these irradiated patients. We applied the double paddle PMMC flap for the simultaneous reconstruction of above complex defects and evaluated the it's clinical efficacy. Material and Methods: Retrospective chart review of three cases of simultaneous head and neck reconstruction after irradiation with double paddle PMMC. All patients received prior radiotherpy before development of complications. The double paddle PMMC flap was used for mucosal lining of the oral cavity and epithelial lining of external skin in 2 cases, for mucosal lining of the pharynx and epithelial lining of external skin in 1 case. Results: Considerable complications such as major flap necrosis or fistula did not occur in any of the cases, and simultaneous reconstruction was achieved in all cases without reoperations. Conclusion: Many extended defects such as oro-and pharyngocutaneous fistula involving cover and lining about the head and neck after irradiation can be rehabilitated by the double paddle pectoralis major myocutaneous flap.
농심함양 프로그램 참여 청소년의 농업,농촌에 대한 인식 조사 연구

이 연구는 청소년들의 농업·농촌에 대한 인식 정도를 측정하고 향후 청소년들이 농업과 농촌에 대해 긍정적인 인식을 제고하기 위한 발전적 개선방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 4-H회에서 실시하고 있는 농심함양 프로그램 중 ``벼화분재배``와 ``그린프로그램``에 참여한 청소년들과 일반청소년들과의 인식의 차이를 검증하였다. 프로그램 참가 청소년들은 농업의 중요성과 수입개방, 농촌이 겪고 있는 어려움에 대해 대체로 잘 이해하고 있었으며, 농업과 농촌의 다원적 기능에 대해서도 식량안보와 환경보전 등에 대해 매우 중요하게 생각하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 일반 청소년들은 농업·농촌이 당면한 문제에 대해 관심이 없거나 잘 모르고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 외국산 농산물의 수입을 제한하는 것에 대해서도 반대하는 비율이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 조사를 바탕으로 청소년들의 농업·농촌에 대한 관심과 이해 확대와 4-H회 활동의 내실화를 위한 발전방안을 제시하면, 첫째, 일부 프로그램에 대한 이수제 확대와 제도적 정착, 둘째, 활동 프로그램 활성화를 위한 네트워크 구축, 셋째, 지도교사의 전문성 향상을 위한 지원 확대, 넷째, 일반 청소년들에 대한 농심함양 프로그램 확대 시행 등이 있다. The purpose of this study were to analyze the awareness about agriculture and rural community of youths and suggest the implications. The data were collected from 291 youths who are participated the agricultureunderstanding programs conducted by Korea 4-H Association. For the comparing with 182 non-participants survey were together. The following conclusions were drawn from this study, (1) the program participants were aware of importance and multifunctionality roles of agriculture. (2) on the other hand, non-participants did not recognize or had little interest of the agricultural issues. (3) youths participated programs were have positive consensus of agriculture and rural community compared to non-participants. Based on the conclusion of this study, some implications were summarized as followings: (1) some programs need to motivate youths to complete course, (2) establish network system for the better activities, (3) support to extension teachers` expertise, (4) the programs need to expended to non-4H members.

This study was to examine to the CNS(Central Nervous System) responses of elderly drivers at the green, yellow, and red signal types. To examine this result, the older adults over age 65 who has more than 5 years of driving experience participated this experiment. In addition, we used audio-visual film clips as the stimulus than driving simulator, because the CNS reponses are sensitive to movement such as steering wheel. While subjects were watching one car's driving among green, yellow, or red signal types at the intersection, we measured their EEG(electroencephalogram) using monopolar electrodes from Fz, Cz and Pz sites. As a result, relative sizes of beta waves were changed due to the signal type conditions, and pre- and post-time of entering the intersection at the measured sites, separately. It suggests that the elderly drivers' CNS responses were different by the signal types.
Characteristics of woodland changes in an agricultural landscape - The case of Gwangju

Recent landscape changes from human activities, such as agricultural development and urbanisation frequently result in the loss of habitats, the reduction in habitat patch size and an increasing isolation of habitat patches. However, there is little information on woodland changes in agricultural landscapes. Therefore, the aim of this research was to assess spatial characteristics and changes of woodland in an agricultural landscape and how these may have had an impact on ecological process for 33 years. One of the agricultural landscape character units was analysed based on aerial photographs from 1976, 1983, 1994, 2002 and 2009 in Gwangju city. The results indicated that landscape ecological metrics clearly showed that they could be used to monitor changes of woodland ecological conditions during the past 33 years. The results imply that particularly human activities have been leading to the decrease of the mean size of woodland patches and finally result in woodland isolation. These changes may have a negative impact on woodland bird species in the study area. This woodland information can be used to identify the potential and specific needs for setting priorities for conservation planning.

Two spice models are proposed to design a competitive SOC chip using sub-65㎚ CMOS technology. We proposed the nitride stress effect model to solve accuracy problems in the conventional model that happen by single stress liner step in process. We also analyzed new statistical process variances affect the circuit performance and yield using the Monte Carlo model and proposed the new worst case comer model to characterize standard cell libraries and analog circuits. The method to characterize the timing OCV(On Chip Variance) is presented to remove the timing violation.

N/A Background: Vitiligo is a skin disease that is characterized by the loss of cutaneous pigmentation. α-Melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH) is a neuroimmunomodulating peptide derived from proopiomelanocortin, and melanocortin-1 receptor (MCIR) is a surface receptor which is expressed by several other cutaneous cells including melanocyte and keratinocyte. Both of them have been known to be the main physiologic regulator for integumental pigmentation. Objective : To evaluate the expression pattern of α-MSH and MCIR in the epidermis of vitiligo patients. Methods : Specimens were obtained in lesional, perilesional and non-lesional skin in 10 patients with vitiligo and from 3 normal persons by the punch biopsy. And then, indirect immunofluorescence was done to show the pattern of expression of α-MSH and MCIR. Results: 1. Pattern of expression between α-MSH and MCIR was nearly the same. 2. In vitiligo patients with stable disease state (7 of 10), the expression of α-MSH and MCIR in the non-lesional skin was more prominent than that in lesional area. 3. In vitiligo patients with active disease state (3 of 10), the expression of α-MSH and MCIR in the lesional skin was more prominent than that in non-lesional area. Conclusion: Between the stable and active vitiligo patients, there was a different pattern of expression of α-MSH and MCIR in the lesional skin. (Korean J Dermatol 2003;41(6) : 690~695)
지역 어메니티 촉진을 위한 마을만들기 운영사례 비교연구

The aim of the research was to analyze programs, outcomes, promotion process, and operation methods of neighbourhood making to provide basic information for progressive improvement directions in the future. Buk-gu in Gwanju city, samdeok-dong in Daegu city and dongpirang in Tongyeong city were selected for a comparative analysis. The main bodies of neighbourhood making for promoting a local amenity were analysed for this research. The results indicated that a voluntary and continuous participation of residents was expected in the case of neighbourhood making led by the residents. However, a steady budget support from the outside was necessary for the continuous management and improvement of neighbourhood organization. For this, a voluntary agreement was required through the consultative group and committee formation. The member of civil organization has a limitation in the ability to develop and maintain continuos activities in the case of neighbourhood making led by a civil organization. This research found that operation methods including the constant checking, the search for new ideas through assessment of the resident``s participation, local festivals for a community formation and real satisfactions of residents`` desires were needed in the neighbourhood making led by a civil organization. A participation rate in neighbourhood making was low in the case of neighbourhood making led by administrative bodies. This result indicated that the long-term strategics for space renewal and community revitalization were important. Various easy ways of residents`` participation to reflect their interests and operation systems were also needed. Finally, current local issues, active residents`` participation and residents`` opinions would be included in the process of neighbour making in the future.
