Objectives: Ethylene oxide (EtO) is classified as a human carcinogen, but EtO is still widely used to sterilize heat-sensitive materials in hospitals. Employees working around sterilizers are exposed to EtO after sterilization. The aim of the present study was to assess the exposure of EtO level, coupled with occupationally induced micronuclei from hospital workers. The influence of genetic polymorphisms of detoxifying genes (GSTT1 and GSTM1) and DNA repair genes (XRCC1 and XRCC3) on the frequencies of micronuclei in relation to exposure of EtO was also investigated. Methods: The study population was composed of 35 occupationally exposed workers to EtO, 18 student controls and 44 unexposed hospital controls in Korea. Exposure to EtO is measured by passive personal samplers. We analyzed the frequencies of micronuclei by performing cytokinesis-block micronucleus assay (CBMN assay) and GSTM1, GSTT1, XRCC1, and XRCC3 were also genotyped by performing polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). Results: The frequencies of micronuclei in EtO exposure group, student controls and hospital controls were $18.00{\pm}7.73$, $10.47{\pm}7.96$ and $13.86{\pm}6.35$ respectively and their differences were statistically significant, but no significant differences according to the level of EtO were observed. There was a dose-response relationship between the frequencies of micronuclei and cumulative dose of EtO, but no significantly differences were observed. We also investigated the influence of genetic polymorphisms (GSTM1, GSTT1, XRCC1, and XRCC3) on the frequencies of micronuclei, but there were no differences in the frequencies of micronuclei by genetic polymorphisms. Conclusions: The frequencies of micronuclei in EtO exposure group was significantly higher than control groups. A dose-response relationship was found between the level of EtO exposure and the frequencies of micronuclei, but no statistically differences were observed. We also found that the frequencies of micronuclei were increased according to cumulative EtO level. There was no association of the genetic GSTM1, GSTT1, XRCC1, and XRCC3 state with the frequency of micronuclei induced by EtO exposure.

This study was conducted to evaluate the appropriate sowing method and mixture seeding rate on germination of Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.) and white clover (Trifolium repens L.). The experimental design includes two sowing methods and six mixed seeding per each method: BT<sub>1</sub>:BP<sub>0</sub> (broadcast seeding; B, Trifolium repens; T, Poa pratensis; P), BT<sub>1</sub>:BP<sub>2</sub>, BT<sub>1</sub>:BP<sub>3</sub>, BT<sub>3</sub>:BT<sub>1</sub>, BT<sub>2</sub>:BP<sub>1</sub>, BT<sub>0</sub>:BP<sub>1</sub> and ST<sub>1</sub>:SP<sub>0</sub> (spot seeding; S), ST<sub>1</sub>:SP<sub>2</sub>, ST<sub>1</sub>:SP<sub>3</sub>, ST<sub>3</sub>:ST<sub>1</sub>, ST<sub>2</sub>:SP<sub>1</sub>, ST<sub>0</sub>:SP<sub>1</sub>. The germination was the highest for both species when the seeding rate was higher than other species. In overall, the germination of white clover was higher and faster than Kentucky bluegrass. Two plots, BT<sub>2</sub>:BP<sub>1</sub>, ST<sub>1</sub>:ST<sub>2</sub>, were retained the balanced proportion of the germination rate. Therefore, It was suggested, for maintaining the balanced field, it is better to seed white clover twice Kentucky bluegrass on broadcast seeding and Kentucky bluegrass twice white clover on spot seeding. In regard of sowing method, broadcast seeding is better than spot seeding in terms of increasing the germination. It is necessary to supplement the result for real application by long-term monitoring.

Nanosized surface structures of Cu powders were investigated at the atomic scale by field-emission transmission electron microscope techniques. The nanoscale surface oxide layer on the Cu powder was analyzed to be the CU2O phase by electron diffraction pattern and electron energy-loss spectroscopy. In addition, it was found from high-resolution transmission electron microscopy study that there are formed no surface oxide layers on the surface of alkanethiol coated Cu powders.
EMG 신호 분석을 통한 컬-덤벨 운동의 연속/반복적인 근 수축 및 이완 동작 전환 시점 검출 모듈의 설계 및 구현

본 논문에서는 컬-덤벨 운동의 연속, 반복적인 근 수축/이완 동작에 대한 전환 시점을 검출하기 위한 EMG(Electromyogram) 신호 분석 모듈을 설계하였으며 이에 대한 안드로이드 플랫폼 기반의 테스트 프로그램을 구현하였다. 제안하는 모듈로는 무산소 운동 분석에의 활용도가 높은 EMG 신호를 기반으로 근 수축/이완의 전환 시점을 95% 검출하며, 이를 개선 및 확장함으로써 현재 상용화 및 보급화된 운동가이드 시스템에서 제공할 수 없었던 무산소 운동의 체계적 가이드를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

도심지 내 하천재생경관이 심리적 치유 및 안정에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자, 남학생 20명, 여학생 20명 총 40명의 대학생을 대상으로 실험을 실시하였다. 연구대상지는 복원된 하천으로서 큰 의의를 가지는 청계천을 선정하였으며 차량과 건물이 많은 인공건축물 밀집지역을 비교대상지로 선정하였다. 분석항목은 기분상태검사(POMS)와 의미분별법(SD)을 측정지표로 하여 기분개선상태를 측정하였다. 기분상태검사(POMS)는 인공경관에 비하여 하천경관에서 긴장-불안, 우울, 분노, 곤란, 피로의 항목이 낮아지고 활력의 항목 측정값이 상승하였다. 의미분별법(SD)의 결과, 대부분의 항목에서 하천경관이 긍정적 효과를 가지는 것으로 확인되었다. 특히, 여학생에 비해 남학생이 도시하천을 경험하였을 때 심리적 효과가 더 큰 것으로 밝혀졌으며 도시내에 위치한 하천을 방문하는 것만으로도 대학생의 심리적인 치유 및 안정에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. To evaluate the effect of river stream landscape on psychological healing and stabilizing, total 40 college students of 20 male students and 20 female students were enrolled in the experiment of this study. Possessing great significance as a restored river stream, Cheonggyecheon creek was selected as the target region for this study, and artificial area dense with many automobiles and buildings was selected as a comparing region. Mood improvement status was measured using validation of the Profile Mood States(POMS) and Semantic Differential(SD) method as the measurement indicators for analysis items. In POMS, items of tension-anxiety, depression, anger, distress, fatigue were decreased and vitality item was increased in river stream landscape compared to artificial landscape. As a result of SD, river stream landscape was confirmed to have positive effect in most items. Especially, male students had greater psychological effect than female students when experiencing river stream, and just visiting river stream located within the city appeared to give psychological healing and stabilizing effect.
NDN 환경에서 형태보존암호를 이용한 효과적인 라우터 자원 활용 기법 제안

일반적으로 네트워크를 통한 통신은 IP 주소 체계를 이용하고 있다. 그러나 네트워크 이용자의 증가로 인해 IP주소 활용에 대한 한계가 대두되고 있다. 따라서 IP 기반 네트워크가 갖는 문제점을 해결하고 기존의 통신 패러다임을 변경하기 위한 시도로 컨텐츠의 이름을 기반으로 한 NDN이 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 대량의 Interest가 중개 라우터를 통해 포워딩되는 과정에서 사용되는 라우터에 형태보존암호를 이용해 효과적인 라우터 자원을 활용하는 기법을 제안하였다.
