지도 일반화를 지원하는 계층화된 공간 색인 기법

핸드폰의 화면 크기 때문에 핸드폰에서의 지도 서비스는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 핸드폰과 같은 작은 화면에서 효율적으로 지도 데이터를 표현하기 위해서는 첫째, 지도 일반화를 이용하여 상세한 지도 데이터를 간략하게 만드는 과정이 필요하며, 둘째, 간략화된 데이터를 계층화하여 사용자의 확대 축소 명령을 빠르게 수행할 수 있어야 한다. 그러나, 기존의 연구들은 일부의 지도 일반화만 지원하거나 실시간으로 처리하지 못하는 문제점들을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 LMG-tree는 계층화된 하나의 색인 트리를 사용함으로 저장 공간의 효율성을 가지고 있으며, 지도 일반화를 지원하여 실시간 지도 서비스가 가능하도록 하였다. Map services for cellular phone have problem for implementation, which are the limitation of a screen size. To effectively represent map data on screen of celluar phone, it need a process which translate a detailed map data into less detailed data using map generalization, and it should manipulate zoom in out quickly by leveling the generalized data. However, current spatial indexing methods supporting map generalization do not support all map generalization operations. In this paper, We propose a leveled spatial indexing method, LMG-tree, supporting map generalization and presents the results of performance evaluation.

HAWTHORNE의 단편소설에 나타난 극적 아이러니

To fully grasp what effects Nathaniel Hawthorne achieves in his works through the technique of irony, this paper will study the main characteristics of his irony, including the correlation between irony and his tragic works, and then its application to his works through three short tales: "The Man of Adamant: An Apologue," "The Gentle Boy," and "The Birth Mark." Then, his irony has close paralleles with his personal experiences and history. Born of a strict Puritan family, he had a thorough knowledge of his ancestors' gloomy history especially relating to the religious persecution directed at Quakerism. These circumstances and the Calvinistic influence gave Hawthorne a dualistic view of life and made him devote himself to write ironic works inseparably connected with Puritanism. Therefore, almost all of the characters in his tales are Puritans who are innocent American Adams striving to create an ideal world in their own way. But beyond their first intentions or expectations they come to be isolated from their normal societies, such that they become the heroes of tragic irony in the end. Their falls are brought about not merely by the religious prejudice or conceit like those of Richard Digby in "The Man of Adamant: An Apologue" and all the Puritans or the Quakers except the Tobias Pearsons and Ilbrahim in "The Gentle Boy," but also by the pursuit for the power of knowledge to gain the perfect world like that of Richard Aylmer in "The Birth Mark." Making good use of the technique of Dramatic irony, Hawthorne criticizes the dehumanization in Puritan society through the tragic development of his characters. But here it must be noted that his chief interest lies rather than in the transformation of the protagonists in "The Gentle Boy" than their sins. Even though among Hawthorne's characters there are such creatures as Digby or Aylmer facing a tragic fall without realizing his sin or transformation at all, they paradoxically show us the truth that real salvation is achieved by recovering magnetic chain of human relationships.

안정적인 멀티미디어 통신을 위한 Mobile IPv6 네트워크에서 진보된 고속 핸드오버 기법

IPv6기반에서 호스트 이동성 부여를 위해 Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) 에서 제안하고 표준화된 기술인 Mobile IPv6는 긴 핸드오버 지연시간과 그에 따른 패킷 손실 등의 단점으로 실제 상용망에서는 잘 쓰이지 않고 있다. 따라서 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위한 여러 연구가 진행 중이며 MIPv6 (Mobile IPv6) 의 단점을 보완한 Fast handover for Mobile IPv6 (FMIPv6) 가 제안되었지만 라우터 터널링을 이용하는 방법은 패킷 손실이나 순서 어긋남 문제등이 여전히 남아있다. 본 논문은 이러한 핸드오버 지연으로 인해 이동 단말이 여러 서브넷 사이를 빈번하게 움직여야하는 환경에서 핸드오버 지연시간을 단축시켜 기존 MIPv6의 성능을 향상시킨 Advanced Mobile IPv6 (AMIPv6) 프로토콜을 제안하고 기존 MIPv6와 같은 환경에서 핸드오버가 일어날 경우 지연시간을 비교 분석했다.

α-SiO2 분말의 수열 결정화 특성

250-450℃에서 3시간 동안의 수열반응을 통해 1-10 ㎛의 평균입경을 갖는 능면체 모양의 α-SiO₂(α-quartz) 단결성 분말을 제조하였다. 실험 결과 광화제 농도를 증가시켜 결성 성장이 시작되는 수열합성온도를 낮출 수 있었으며, 입자의 크기가 작고 입도분포의 폭이 좁은 분할을 얻을 수 있었다. 한편, 성장기질의 농도나 반응시간을 증가시키면 입자의 크기 가 크며 입도분포의 폭이 넓은 분말을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 반응온도가 증가하면 핵생성이나 결정성장이 모무 빨라지고 입자의 크기도 커짐을 알 수 있었다. 위의 내용을 총괄적으로 표현하기 위하여 결정화 특성을 해석함으로서 평균입경 (S)에 관한 특성방정식, S◎1.57 exp(-E_a/RT)·t^(0.11)·C^(0.33)_M·C^(0.22)_M·C^(0.08)_S를 제안할 수 있었으며, 이 식에서 활성화에너지(E_a)는 8.15kJ/g㏖K였다. Powders of crystalline α-SiO₂(α-quartz), having the mean particle size of 1-10 ㎛with shapes of rhombohedron, were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis in the temperature range of 250-450 ℃ for a 3 h reaction. '1'he reaction temperature could be reduced as the concentration of a mineralizer increased. Experimental results showed that the particle size became smaller with its narrow distribution as the concentration of a mineralizer increased. However, the particle size became larger with its wide distribution as the concentration of nutrients and the reaction temperature increased. Both of the nucleation and the crystal growth rate also became faster and the particle size became larger as the reaction temperature increased. The above results were expressed as a characteristic equation for the weight mean particle diameter(S) of synthetic powders, such as S◎1.57 exp(-E_a/RT)·t^(0.11)·C^(0.33)_M·C^(0.22)_N·C^(0.08)_S with the activation energy, E_a was 8.15 kJ/g㏖K.

Lenticulostriate Artery Involvement is Predictive of Poor Outcomes in Superficial Middle Cerebral Artery Territory Infarction

Purpose: Patients with superficial middle cerebral artery (MCA) territory infarction may have concomitant lenticulostriate artery (LSA) territory infarction. We investigated the mechanisms thereof and the outcomes of patients with superficial MCA territory infarction according to the presence or absence of LSA involvement. Materials and Methods: Consecutive patients with first-ever infarction in the unilateral superficial MCA territory were included in this study. They were divided into the superficial MCA only (SM) group and the superficial MCA plus LSA (SM+L) group. Results: Of the 398 patients, 84 patients (21.1%) had LSA involvement (SM+L group). The SM+L group more frequently had significantstenosis of the proximal MCA or carotid artery and high-risk cardioembolic sources. Stroke severity and outcomes were remarkably different between the groups. The SM+L group showed more severe neurologic deficits (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale score 10.8±7.1 vs. 4.0±5.0, p<0.001) and larger infarct in the superficial MCA territory (40.8±62.6 cm3 vs. 10.8±21.8 cm3, p<0.001) than the SM group. A poor functional outcome (mRS >2) at 3 months was more common in the SM+L group (64.3% vs. 15.9%, p<0.001). During a mean follow-up of 26 months, 67 patients died. All-cause (hazard ratio, 2.246) and stroke (hazard ratio,9.193) mortalities were higher in the SM+L group than the SM group. In multivariate analyses, LSA involvement was an independentpredictor of poor functional outcomes and stroke mortality. Conclusion: LSA territory involvement is predictive of poor long-term outcomes in patients with superficial MCA territory infarction.

현실치료 적용 집단미술치료 프로그램이 아동의 책임감과 행복감에 미치는 효과

본 연구는 현실치료를 적용한 집단미술치료 프로그램으로 아동의 책임감과 행복감에 미치는 효과 를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 연구대상은 A시에 있는 면소재 초등학교 4, 5, 6학년 아동 74명으로 실험집단 37명과 통제집단 37 명이며, 실험집단에게는 2012년 5월 24일부터 7월 17일까지 주 2회, 40분씩 총 12회기에 걸쳐 현실치 료를 적용한 집단미술치료 프로그램을 실시하였다. 연구도구는 행복감척도와 책임감 척도를 사용하여 사전검사와 사후검사를 실시하고, SPSS프로그램 으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현실치료를 적용한 집단미술치료 프로그램을 실시한 결과, 실험집단의 책임감 점수가 통제집 단에 비해 유의하게 높았다. 이는 현실치료 집단미술치료 프로그램이 아동의 책임감 향상에 효과가 있음을 입증한 것이다. 둘째, 또한 실험집단의 행복감 점수가 통제집단에 비해 유의하게 높았다. 이는 현실치료를 적용한 집단미술치료 프로그램이 아동의 행복감 향상에 효과가 있음을 입증한 것이다. 본 연구는 아동을 대상으로 현실치료를 적용한 집단미술치료 프로그램을 실시하여 아동의 책임감 과 행복감 향상에 대한 효과성을 입증한 사례로, 학교 현장이나 다른 교육현장에서 아동을 지도하는 데 실질적으로 적용할 수 있는 실천적 통합 프로그램을 제시하였다는 점에 의의를 둘 수 있다.

In this paper, semiconducting shield specimens for a DC cable is fabricated and characterized by measurement of volume resistance, tensile strength, and the coefficient of expansion to show the electrical and mechanical characteristics of the semiconducting shield. Due to the PTC phenomenon, the volume resistance at $25^{\circ}C$ increases rapidly in comparison to the volume resistance at $90^{\circ}C$. Since the compounding ratio of carbon black is low, the tensile strength and density become lower and the coefficient of expansion is increased. As the general specification of the tensile strength and density is $0.8kgf/mm^2$ and 150%, respectively, the fabricated specimen in this paper has excellent mechanical characteristic.
