Background : To assess the influencing factors of patients satisfaction on service of diagnostic radiology and to recommend for the improving method of patients satisfaction on service of diagnostic radiology. Methods : We conducted a SERVQUAL questionnaire survey during the period from January 2008 till August 2008. The data was collected from questionnaires filled out by 289 patients visiting at 4 tertiary and 5 secondary hospitals located in Busan Metropolis City. Collected data were analyzed descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis using SAS Win(ver 9.0k) program. Results : The mean score of patient's satisfaction on diagnostic radiology was -0.01±0.50 and empathy as subcategory of SERVQUAL was only positive satisfaction(0.10±0.72). Patient's satisfaction on diagnostic radiology was high in admission experienced group, operation experienced group and medical administration satisfaction group, respectively. Patient's satisfaction on diagnostic radiology was influenced by appointment of diagnostic radiology examination and satisfaction of medical administration. Conclusion : This study show that patient of diagnostic radiology experienced dissatisfaction and the influencing factors of patient's satisfaction on diagnostic radiology were appointment and satisfaction of medical administration. In order to improve patient's satisfaction of diagnostic radiology, more exact appointment system and advanced medical administration support were needed in the hospital organization.
Tuning the Stiffness of Dermal Fibroblast-Encapsulating Collagen Gel by Sequential Cross-linking

The hydrogel has been studied for various applications. In this study, we prepared sequential cross-linked collagen gels with collagen as a biomaterial, and acrylamide as a synthetic monomer. The elastic moduli (E) of cross-linked collagen gels were increased from 1.5 to 3.0 kPa by varying of acrylamide concentration. In addition, human dermal fibroblasts were encapsulated into the porous pores introduced into the gels, and cell growth and behavior were investigated. Increasing E of the gel led to decreases in cell growth rate, while the cellular GAG (glycosaminoglycan) production level was elevated. Overall, the growth and cellular activity of skin cells were influenced by the extracellular matrix properties of the collagen gels, and the results of this study will be highly useful for designing reconstructive skins, and further various tissue engineering researches.
베타시트 구조가 도입된 폴리아미노산 유도체의 피부활성에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 발린분자가 접목된 고차구조 폴리아미노산 자기조립체를 활용하여 피부성장인자의 피부활성에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. 친수성 폴리아미노산 유도체에 베타-시트를 형성할 수 있는 발린 분자를 접목하여, 접목도(degree of substitutes)와 중합도(degree of polymerization)가 조절된 양친성 폴리 아미노산을 합성하였다. 고차구조 폴리아미노산과 함께 자기조립 되었을 때 상피세포성장인자는 프로콜라겐 생합성이 20% 향상되었고 티로시나아제 활성 저해능은 6.5배 증가함을 확인하였다. 고차구조 폴리아미 노산 자기조립체를 활용하면 다양한 단백질 성장인자의 구조 안정성을 확보하여 효과적인 피부개선이 가능한 기능성 화장품 물질뿐만 아니라 나아가 의약품으로도 사용 가능하리라 기대된다. In this study, a synthesized poly(amino acid) self-assembly grafted with valine molecules was investigated on the skin activity of skin growth factors. The amphiphilic grafted poly(amino acid) derivatives were successfully synthesized by varying of degree of substitutes(DS) and polymerization(DP) with valine molecules forming a β-sheet structure. Then, the pro-collagen biosynthesis of EGF(epidermal growth factor) was improved by 20%, and the inhibitory ability of tyrosinase activity was increased by 6.5 times by self-assembling of EGF with the poly(amino acid)s having β-sheet structures. This strategy of preparing protein self-assembly with poly(amino acid) derivatives will help improve the stability of protein growth factors and use it in medicals as well as cosmeceuticals through skin improvement.

본 연구는 IP 카세트를 이용하는 이동촬영 장비의 세균오염도를 조사하여 이동촬영으로 인한 병원 감염을 예방하고 감염교육의 기초자료를 제공하고자 실시하였다. 결과는 IP Cassette 1번에서 CNS, VRE가 검출되었다. 2번에서는 CNS, 3번에서는 CNS, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, 4번에서는 CNS, 5번에서는 CNS, Bacillussp., 6번에서는 Enterococcus faecium이 검출되었다. 영상판독기에서는 Enterococcus faecium, Bacillus sp., 장비 이동 손잡이에서 Acinetobacter baumannii, 조작버튼에서는 Bacillus sp., 조사야 조절 손잡이에서는 CNS, Bacillus sp., X-선 발생 스위치에서는 Acinetobacter baumannii, 바코드기 에서는 CNS가 검출되었다. IP Cassette 이동테이블에서는 Bacillus sp. Acinetobacter baumannii, 납 앞치마에서는 CNS, Bacillus sp.가 검출되었다. 방사선사가 촬영 중 착용한 의료용 장갑에서는 Acinetobacter baumannii, CNS가 검출 되었다. 따라서 IP Cassette는 사용 후에는 반드시 소독하고 재사용하며, 영상판독기, IP 이동테이블은 오염된 IP Cassette를 통해 세균이 전파될 수 있으므로 사용 후에는 소독을 실시해야 한다. 환자와 직접 접촉하는 의료용 장갑도 1회 사용 후 교체하고 촬영 시 접촉이 많은 X-발생 스위치, 납 앞치마도 철저히 소독하여 이동촬영으로 인한 감염을 예방하여야 한다. The purpose of this study is to prevent infection in the hospital by computed radiography portable and to provide basic data on infection-related education by investigating bacterial contamination level of computed radiography portable equipment using IP cassette. The results suggest that IP cassette No. 1 is infected with CNS and VRE, no. 2 with CNS, No. 3 with CNS and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, No. 4 with CNS, No. 5 with CNS and Bacillus sp., and No. 6 with enterococcus faecium. Enterococcus faecium and bacillus sp. were detected from the IP reader and Acinetobacter baumannii was detected on the mobile handle; Bacillus sp. on the control buttons, CNS and Bacillus sp. from the irradiation control handle, Acinetobacter baumannii on the x-ray generation switch, and CNS on the barcode scanner. In addition, Bacillus sp. Acinetobacter baumannii was found on the IP cassette mobile table and CNS and bacillus sp. were found on the lead apron. Acinetobacter baumannii and CNS were detected from the medical gloves worn by a radiological technologist during radiography. This suggests that IP cassette should be sterilized after use as it can hand over bacteria to IP reader and IP mobile table. Medical gloves that are in direct contact with patients should also be replaced after using them once and other supplies such as x-ray generation switch and lead apron should thoroughly be sterilized to prevent infection due to radiography as they are in a lot of contact with patients.
