육성기의 체중과 체형관리 균일성의 중요성

산란계 사육에 있어 최대의 관심사는 뭐니뭐니 해도 산란율로 귀착된다. 육성계의 사양관리나 점등관리, 질병관리 등의 모든 것이 결국은 산란을 시키기 위한 준비이며, 훌륭한 산란계로 육성시키지 못하면 그동안의 숱한 노력이나 막대한 경비를 회수할 수 없게 된다. 따라서 무엇보다도 육성기의 사양관리가 채란업의 성패를 좌우하게 된다. 육성기의 사양관리에는 여러가지 고려되어야 할 중요한 점이 있지만, 그중에서도 체중과 정강이 길이 및 균일성은 그 계군의 능력발휘에 있어 가장 중요한 요소이므로 중점적으로 논의해 보도록 한다.

도계장에서의 수율제고와 닭고기의 품질향상

국제적인 큰 행사가 아니라도 우리도 이제는 서서히 도계품으로 유통이 되어 가고 있다. 아직 도계에 관한 역사가 짧고 기술 축적이 되어있지 않아 시간과 금전과 시설에서 많은 낭비가 이루어지고 있는 것이 사실이다. 충분한 조사와 면밀한 계획없이 너무 덤비기 때문에 불필요한 시행착오를 수없이 반복하였다. 우리는 지금까지 품질향상과 시설을 같은 의미로 착각하고 있었기 때문에 시설기준에만 관심을 가졌지 그 시설을 어떻게 이용하고 실제 중요한 작업과정에 대하여는 관심이 소홀하였었다. 냉동실 몇평 이상 작업실 몇평 이상 등 최저 규모를 정해서 획일적으로 규모의 대형화를 유도하여도 계장의 경영을 어렵게 할 필요는 없는 것이다. 이 글은 도계장에서 품질향상을 위해서 요구되는 부문을 외국의 예에서 발췌 소개하여 도계품의 품질과 수율향상에 이바지함으로써 슈퍼마? 및 도계품 판매업소에서 자신감과 긍지를 가지고 판매를 할 수 있도록 하고자 함이다. 양계협회가 지난해 미국 농무성의 도계검사관을 초빙해 국내도계장을 돌아본 보고서에서 지적했듯이 이제는 품질과 수율을 높이기 위한 세부적인 기준이 설정되어야 하며, 이 기준에 따라 작업이 시행될 수 있도록 효율적으로 기준이 고안되어야 할 것이다. 이 글이 앞으로 도계장에서의 작업기준 제정에 도움을 주고, 소비자에게 환영받는 닭고기를 생산하는데 도움이 되기를 바란다.

A Usage-based Phonology Approach to [the] Deletion in [The thing is (That)]

This paper attempts to explore the recently emerging [the] deletion in [the thing is] construction, which is in line with the current research trend in Usage-based theory (Boyland 1996, Bybee 2000, 2001, 2002, Krug 1998, 2001, Phillips 2001). This aims at exploring the frequency effects on phonological reduction, functional extension, and morphosyntactic re-analysis. Based on American spoken English corpus (SWITCHBOARD 1992), this paper observes that the phonological shortening coupled with the semantic changes demonstrate the syntactic changes of [(the) thing is], from the three-words into a single-word unit (univerbation). Building on Kim's postulation (2003a), this work could attest that the current [the] deletion is associated with recently emerging pragmatic functions (filler, hesitator) and deviant syntax (parenthetical particle). In the account presented here, a high token frequency of [the thing is] and type frequency of the definite article [the] in the determiner slot along with the general articulatory reduction via non-adjective context: [the+Ø+thing+is] have cumulative effects on our lexical representation. Therefore this reduced phonological variant [thing is] tends to acquire new functions and idiomatic status.

A Usage-based Phonology Approach to Recent Changes of [in fact] > [fact]

The issue addressed in this paper has to do with the ongoing development of the prepositional phrase [in fact] > [fact] based on American spoken corpus. In the Grammaticalization literature, the functional change of [in fact] has been well established: PP > epistemic adverbial(Traugott1999).Built on it, this paper reworks that observation via phonological approach within Usage-based framework (Bybee 2001). In particular, this paper first argues that the recent emergence of the [in] deletion, i.e. [fact] is directly associated with the syntactic and functional changes of [in fact]. On the account presented here, the [in] deletion data of [in fact] can support my claim that the phonological factors can provide critical evidence for the syntactic status of the unit. In particular, the claims observed here in the actual usages of [in fact] are: Due to the frequent usages, [in fact] has gradually undergone i) phonological changes through articulatory reduction -- /ɪn fǽkt/ (+stress) > /ǝ̃fækt/ (-stress) > /fækt/, ii) semantic changes -- contrastive truth > discourse elaboration > hedge/filler (pragmatic particle) and iii) syntactic changes -- the two word-sized unit > single word-sized unit (univerbation). 당뇨병에 기인한 허혈성 말초 혈관 질환에 대한 Cilostazol의 유효성 평가

Objectives : Diabetic peripheral neuropathies are one of the most frequent complications of diabetes, and multiple metabolic and vascular disturbances are involved in the pathogenetic mechanisms of diabetic neuropathies. Methods : Thirty patients with diabetic neuropathies from ischemic peripheral vascular disease were received cilostazol, an antithrombotic and vasodilating drug, 200mg a day in two divided doses for eight weeks at the Ewha Womans University Hospital. We analysed the eff-ects between before and efter treatment with cilostazol. Results : 1) Total 30 patients were studied : 21 patients wre female and 9 patients were male. Their mean age was 60.2±9.9 years, and mean duration of diabetes was 8.0±4.9years. As comp-lications, 47% of them had retinopathy and 30% of them nephropathy. 2) No significant difference was found in physical findings, metabolic control states, CBC, blood chemistry and lipid levels before and after cilostazol treatment. 3) The score of resting pain and numbness were significantly decreased, and cold sensation and claudication were decreased after cilostazol treatment. 4) The score of arterial pulsation and Doppler wave was decreased, and the ankle pressure index was increased from 1.04±0.07 to 1.08±0.13 after cilostazol treatment, but there was no statistical significance. 5) Adverse effects were noted in 20% of cilostazol treated patients, 3 cases of headache, 2 facial flush and palpitation and 1 rash and urticaria, respectively. 6) The assessment of overall improvement of the disease, including "markedly improved", "improved" and "slightly improved" amounted to 63%. The assessment of overall safety of the drug, including "safe" and "almost safe" amounted to 80%. The assessment of overall utility of the drug, including "very useful","useful" and "slightly useful" amounted to 63%.

정상 성인의 연령에 따른 좌심실 이완기 기능 평가

To determine the effect of aging on left ventricular filling mitral valve flow was evaluatedwith conventional pulsed Doppler echocardiography in 100 normal subjects, aged 20 to 76years, who had no evidence of cardiovascular disease. The subjects were classified into the5 groups, according to the age, with 20 subjects in each groups : 20-29 years(group I), 30-39years(group Ⅱ), 40-49 years(group Ⅲ), 50-59 years(group Ⅳ) and 60-76 years(group Ⅴ). The results were as follows : 1) The LVEDD(Left Ventricular End Diastolic Diameter) and left ventricular mass indexwere significantly increased with aging(r=0.50, r=0.60) and the ejection fraction showed nosignificant differences among these groups. 2) With aging, the peak early velocity(Peak E) was decreased(r=-0.36) and the peak atrialvelocity(Peak A) was increased(r=0.43). The E/A ratio and atrial diastolic velocity were decreased significantly with aging and showed a negative correlation with aging(r=-0.70). 3) The deceleration time of early diastolic flow was increased with aging(r=0.29) but withoutsignificance. 4) The isovolumetric relaxation time was significantly increased with aging(r=0.75). In conclusion, as myocardial stiffness increases with aging, nonuniformity of myocardialrelaxation is frequently associated in older age group. Thus, a certain echocardiographic parameter shows abnormal value with normal aging process : the IVRT and DT are prolonged, PeakE is decreased and E/A ratio increased. For correct evaluation of the left ventricular diastolicfunction, age should be considere, along with the other factors such as loading conditionsof the heant heart rate and the contractile status of the heart.

The Curriculum for the English Motion Verb in Korean ESL Context

Hi-JeanThis paper focuses on instructional strategies of English motion verbs in Korean ESL contexts. Of significance is the application of the form-focused instruction to the classroom. More specifically, this study attempts to develop effective curriculum on the English come/go usage among Korean ESL learners. By adopting Harley's principles (1992, 1993) of WHAT, WHEN and HOW in the form-focused L2 instructions, this study examines whether the come/go contrast can be the area where explicit analytic L2 teaching or negative evidence can lead to great improvements (WHAT) in SLA, when is the right time for teaching (WHEN) and how it can be taught (HOW). The picture describing test carried out to twenty graduate students supports the claim that the lexical contrast come/go constitutes a problematic L2 area where positive evidence alone does not guarantee the acquisition of the correct use of them and because of this, the explicit code-focused teaching or negative evidence can have facilitative effect on the acquisition of these motion verbs. The misanalyses of the come/go system can block the entry to a frequently used subsystem of the L2 code. To help prevent long lasting confusion or fossilization, in the English motion verbs, the first step toward learning suggested here is to get Korean learners sensitized to the code differences between the L1 and L2. Also presented is the three stage instructional curriculum for the come/go use which integrates analytic instructions with the content teaching through personal experiences of students.<Korean Bible University>
