The purpose of this study was to evaluate the degree of wear of periodontal curet's cutting edges made by three different manufacturers. In the first case of the experiment, this study was done with each new curett in the following three experiment. Twelve new double-ended No. 11/12 Gracy curettes from three different manufacturers (A, B and C) was randomly selected from our stock at first test. They were weared by wear tester with fixed pressure and limited distance. This study measured the width of worn curettes'cutting edge. The results were as follows ; 1)In 50 times experiment, this study discoverd that each manufacturer's curette was appeared with different degree of wear (p<0.01) 2)In 100 times experiment, this study result similarly to the 50 times experiment(p<0.01). 3)In 150 times experiment, the result of this study were alike as the X50 experiment and X100 experiment. In the second case of the experiment, the study was done with a curett of a manufacturer in the following three experiment. Two double-ended No. 11/12 Gracy curette from three different manufactures (A, B and C) was randomly selected from our stock at second test. 1)In 50 times experiment, this study discovered that each manufacturer's curette was appeared with different degree of wear (p<0.05). 2)In 100 times experiment, the result was same, compared with the 50 times experiment. 3)In 150 times experiment, this study also discovered that the result was same with the result of the upper two cases. In conclusion, this study discovered that the two cases of experimental were shown with a same result.
고도처리용 MBR의 막오염 저감을 위한 막분리 침전조에 대한 연구

본 연구에서는 고도처리를 위한 BNR 공정에 사용되는 MBR (Membrane Bioreactor)의 막 오염(membrane fouling)을 저감시키기 위해 분리막을 침지시킨 침전조를 상하로 나누어 상부는 폭기조로, 하부는 침전조의 역할을 수행하게 하는 새로운 형태의 막분리 침전조 (aerated settler)의 성능을 평가 하였다. 막분리 침전조는 상하로 구분하기 위해서 baffle을 설치하였다. 파일럿 규모 (Q=50㎥/d)의 MBR 공정은 실제 오수를 유입수로 사용하였으며 약 6개월간 운전하였다. 탈질을 위하여 막분리 침전조 하부에서 무산소조로 반송되는 반송수의 DO를 크게 줄어들게 함으로써 무산조에서의 탈질효율이 증가되었다. 처리수의 총 TN 제거율은 75%이었다. 또한 막분리침전조 상·하부의 MLSS 농도 차에 의해 상부에 침지된 막 모듈은 기존의 MBR 공정보다 막 오염 저감 효과가 있어서 세정주기가 증가하였다. 운전 개시 후 4개월째 되는 시점에 TMP가 40cmHg에 도달하여 1회 화학적 약품세정만이 필요하였다.
두부규격 방사선 사진을 이용한 미소 시의 중안면부 연조직의 변화량 측정

Purpose: The aim of this study is to compare the soft tissue changes of the midfacial area at the repose position and the natural smiling position for the improvement of evaluation and planning in the orthognathic surgery. Methods: The total of 30 subjects, 15 male and 15 female, were included in this study. The metal point landmarks were placed at the cheek, orbital rim, subpupil, and nasal base. The movements of the landmarks were evaluated at the repose position and smiling position in the lateral and posteroanterior cephalograms. Paired t test and correlation analysis were used for the evaluation of the soft tissue changes statistically. Results: In the lateral cephalograms, the cheek point (4.49 mm in female, 4.87 mm in male) showed the most distant movement. All points presented significant movements, except the orbital rim and nasal base point in male. Cheek point presented significant positive correlation between the horizontal and vertical change in male. Subpupil point presented significant positive correlation between horizontal and vertical change in both male and female. In the posteroanterior cephalograms, the nasal base point (5.41 mm in female, 6.30 mm in male) showed the most distant movement. Subpupil point and nasal base point presented significant movements in both female and male. Nasal base point presented significant negative correlation between the horizontal and vertical change in both male and female. In the lateral and posteroanterior cephalograms, the positional changes of all points presented significant positive correlation with each other in both female and male. Conclusion: The cheek point in the sagittal view and the nasal base point in the frontal view showed the most distant movement on smile. In the sagittal view, the subpupil point and cheek point moved anteriorsuperiorly on smile. In the frontal view, the nasal base points moved laterosuperiorly on smile. In both the sagittal and frontal view, the positional changes of all point were highly correlated to each other. These results may be used in the soft tissue references for the treatment planning of the dentofacial deformity patients.

본 논문에서는 광대역 특성을 갖는 이동통신 RF 모듈의 수동혼변조왜곡신호를 측정할 수 있는 시스템을 개발 하였다. 광대역 특성을 나타내기 위하여 RF 수신단에서 저 잡음 특성과 광대역 특성을 만족하는 수신기를 설계 하였으며 RF 수신 단에서 넓은 동적영역(high dynamic range)을 나타내도록 하였다. 설계된 수동혼변조왜곡 측 정시스템에서 FPGA/DSP를 적용하여 측정된 PIMD신호를 PC에 기록하도록 프로그램 하였다. 650MHz-2700MHz 까지 가변하여 PIMD3를 측정하여 최고 –138dBc를 나타내었다. In this paper, we developed a system for measuring a passive intermodulation distortion signal of the mobile communication RF module having a wide band characteristic. The Broadband was designed to represent the characteristics of the receiver to meet the low noise characteristics and wideband characteristics in the RF receiver were to represent a wide dynamic range(high dynamic range)from the RF receiving end. PIMD designed passive intermodulation distortion signal measured by applying the FPGA / DSP in the system was measured to record the program on the PC. Variable up to 650MHz-2700MHz showed up to-138dBc measured PIMD3.

Wegener`s granulomatosis (WG) is a multisystemic inflammatory disease characterized by necrotizing granulomatous inflammation and vasculitis of unknown etiology which classically affects the upper airway, lung, and kidney. Subglottic stenosis (SGS) is rare and occurs independently of other features of active WG. SGS can be a life-threatening manifestation of disease, and prompt diagnosis is essential. Since the presenting symptoms of SGS can be nonspecific, SGS should be considered in the differential diagnosis of any patient with WG who has increasing dyspnea, voice change, or cough. Although both surgical and medical treatments have been utilized, the optimal therapeutic approach to SGS in patients with WG has not been determined. So far, a case of WG with SGS has not been reported in Korea. Recently, we experienced a case of 59-year-old woman with SGS in WG. She responded to prednisolone and methotrexate therapy and did not require surgical intervention. So we report this case with a review of literatures.
저탄장 시설에 설치된 방풍벽 높이에 따른 비산탄진 확산특성에 관한 수치해석

This study reports numerically the characteristics of dust scattering around the coal storage pile yards, substantially affected by the windbreak wall height. The dust scattering is closely associated with the frictional effect of wind flows as well as the pressure variation that consequently affect the dust particle behavior. In the present study, with the use of the commercial code of FLUENT, the distribution of wind velocity and pressure are predicted around coal storage pile yard for four different heights of the wind break wall. From the results, it was found that for the case 1 with the outer windbreak wall height of 3 m and inner windbreak wall height of 6 m, the amount of scattering dust for a year was estimated to be 1451 kg, whereas for the case 4 where a height of outer windbreak wall is 10 m and a height of inner windbreak wall is 16 m, the amount of scattering dust for a year was 358 kg. It shows that the dust scattering can be reduced by 75%, indicating important role of windbreak wall height on particle scattering. The numerical results would be useful in decision of the appropriate height of windbreak wall for decreasing the amount of scattering dust under various environmental conditions.
