경운시(耕耘時) 토양조건(土壤條件) 및 절삭조건(切削條件)에 따른 역토내의 응력분포(應力分布)를 파악(把握)한 목적(目的)으로 토양응력계(土壤應力計)를 시작(詩作)하여 소형토양조(小型土壤槽)을 사용(使用)한 실험(實驗)에서 얻어진 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 가. 절삭조건(切削條件) 및 토양조건(土壤條件)은 주응력(主應力)의 방향(方向)에 영향(影響)을 미치지 않는다. 나. 절삭조건(切削條件)에 따른 주응력(主應力)의 크기는 경심(耕深)이 클수록 최대(最大) 주응력(主應力)이 증대(增大)하는 경향(傾向)이 있으나 절삭각(切削角)의 변화(變化)에는 그 영향(影響)이 나타나지 않았다. 다. 토양조건(土壤條件)에 따른 주응력(主應力)의 크기는 토양수분(土壤水分) 함량(含量)이 많아질수록, 점토분(粘土分)이 많을수록 최대(最大) 주응력(主應力)이 증대(增大)하는 경향(傾向)이 있다. 라. 전단면상(剪斷面上)에서의 응력분포(應力分布)는 모래 성분(成分)이 많은 토양(土壤)일수록 상층(上層)의 응력(應力)이 0에 접근(接近)하고 점토성분(粘土成分)이 많은 토양(土壤)일수록 상층(上層)의 응력(應力)이 증가(增加)하여 상하층(上下層)의 응력(應力)이 같아진다. In order to identify the stress distribution on the furrow slice a small soil bin instrumented with soil stress meters was designed and constructed. From a series of experiments conducted in the soil bin the following results were obtained. 1) Neither the cutting conditions nor the soil conditions affected the direction of the principal stress. 2) The magnitude of the principal stress increased as the tillage depth increased. However, no effects due to lift angles were shown on the magnitude of the principal stresses. 3) The maximum principal stress increased with increase of the moisture and clay contents in the soil. 4) In the clay soil, the maximum principal stresses were distributed uniformly over the tillage depth. However, as the sand content increased, the maximum principal stresses decreased gradually on the top layer so that the distribution over the tillage depth became a trapezoidal shape.
디젤엔진의 콩기름연료(燃料)에 의(依)한 운전성능(運轉性能)에 관(關)한 시험(試驗)

This paper, is about the test on the operating performance of diesel engine by using of soybean oil which farmers could supply in their farm yard. The diesel engine used is a swirl-chamber type, four stroke cycle with single cylinder, air cooling and its rated horse power is 2 PS per 1300 rpm. Several results obtained are as follows; 1. The starting performance of diesel engine with soybean oil is almost the same as that with light oil. 2. The variation of engine speed according to various engine load is small when soybean oil is used compared with light oil. It is considered that soybean oil is desirable for the purpose of industerial power machine fuel. 3. The specific fuel consumption increases approximately 10 percent high in the condition of rated horse power and maximum horse power and shows less or same during the load test in low velocity, when soybean oil is used. 4. Though the brake thermal efficiency in the condition of rated horse power and maximum horse power is inclined to decrease when soybean oil is used compared during the load test in low velocityt shows good inclination.

N/A Silymarin and curcumin have been used for supportive treatment of liver disease of different etiology due to their hepatoprotective activities. The present study was carried out to investigate the hepatoprotective effects of silymarin and/or curcuma extract against hepatotoxins induced liver injury. To investigate hepatoprotective effects, the silymarin and/or curcuma extract were pre-treated orally to experimental animals. And thereafter a single dose of hepatotoxin, carbon tetrachloride (CCl_4) and acetaminophen were administered through oral or intraperitoneal route, respectively. Chronic liver damage was induced by subcutaneous injection of CCl_4 for 3 weeks (2 times/week). Hepatoprotective and therapeutic effects were monitored by estimating serum ALT and AST levels and by measuring hepatic glutathione (GSH) and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels. Collagen type 1 was detected with immunostaining to assess fibrosis. The results showed that the mixture of silymarin and curcuma extract significantly reduced serum biochemistry levels and MDA levels compared with those of control group in both acute and chronic animal models. In antifibrotic effect, the relative hepatic collagen content was significantly decreased by silymarin and/or curcuma extract treatment. It was concluded that the complex of silymarin and curcuma extract have a both hepatoprotective and therapeutic effect synergically in rat liver injury induced by heptotoxins.
