Sixty Inscription(六十銘) is a piece of writing in which a young intellectual of Joseon(朝鮮) dynasty, at the most desperate moment of his life, had pledged to reflect on himself and take cautious attitude in order to refine his mind and restore his inner-piece. The author is Ki-Jun(奇遵) who was sacrificed in Kimyosahwa(己卯士禍). He was enclosed in a thorn hedge(圍籬安置) in Onseong(穩城), Hamkyong-do(咸鏡道) province, where he wrote inscriptions(銘) for almost everything he encountered in his daily life and used them as media for self-reflection. His life in exile was very miserable. According to his words, it was like a "living tomb" where there was no room for a needle, and no proper sunlight. At first, he was very disappointed and waited only for death, but he controled his mind and tried to do his best in his life again with determination. One of the methods he chose was to observe the objects surrounding him and reflect on himself through it(觀物察己), and the outcome is Sixty Inscription. The basic nature of ‘inscription’ has two concept, the one is ‘name(名)’ which means observing things, finding new values, inferring philosophical and ethical meanings, and embodying them in language(letters), and the other is ‘vigilance(警)’ which means reflecting on oneself through them. It was well matched with the intention of writing Sixty Inscription, in which he tried to reflect on himself through the objects surrounding him. There are 60 objects in total, so the name is called Sixty Inscription. Sixty Inscription covers a wide variety of materials, including fences, kitchens, ondol(Korean floor heating system), shelves, streets, eaves, chimneys, courtyards, vegetable gardens, bridges and even outhouses, which are rarely found in the ‘inscription’ of other writers in his time. It also captures the distinctive aspects of things and gives each object a unique name. By this naming, things came into his mind as both a companion to life and a mirror to examine him, and became teachers who alerted and aroused him nearly giving up his life out of desperation. 「六十銘」은 삶의 가장 절박한 순간, 조선의 한 젊은 지식인이 마음을 가다듬고 평정심을 회복하기 위해 자기를 성찰하고 경계하며 스스로에게 다짐했던 글이다. 지은이는 己卯士禍로 희생된 奇遵(1492~1521)이다. 그는 함경도 穩城에 圍籬安置되었는데, 그곳에서 일상으로 대하던 거의 모든 사물에 대한 銘을 짓고서 이것을 자기 성찰의 매개로 삼았다. 위리안치된 그의 생활은 매우 비참하였다. 그의 말에 따르면, 바늘 하나 들어갈 틈조차 없고, 햇빛도 제대로 들지 않는 ‘산 무덤’ 같은 곳이었다. 처음에 실의하여 죽음만 기다렸으나, 다시 의연하게 마음을 다잡고 자기의 삶에 최선을 다하려 하였다. 그 방법의 하나로 그가 선택한 것이, 자기를 둘러싼 주변 사물을 관찰하고 그것을 통해 다시 자신을 성찰하는 것(觀物察己)이었고, 그 결과물이 바로 「육십명」이다. 銘의 기본 성격이 사물을 관찰하여 새로운 가치를 찾아내고 그것에 철학적·윤리적 의미까지 유추하여 언어(문자)로 형상화하는 ‘名’과, 그것을 바탕으로 자기를 성찰하는 ‘警’의 두 개념인데, 이것이 자신을 둘러싼 주변 사물을 통해 자신을 성찰하고자 했던 「육십명」의 창작의도와 잘 부합하였다. 대상 사물은 모두 60가지이며, 그래서 이름도 「육십명」이라 하였다. 「육십명」에는 다른 문인들의 銘에서는 거의 찾아보기 어려운 울타리, 부엌, 온돌, 선반, 길, 처마, 굴뚝, 뜰, 텃밭, 다리(橋) 심지어는 측간까지도 소재로 다루고 있어 소재가 매우 다양하다. 또한 사물의 특징적인 면을 포착하여 사물마다 고유한 이름도 함께 붙였다. 이렇게 이름을 붙임으로써 사물들은 그의 마음속으로 들어와 삶의 동반자인 동시에 자신을 살피는 거울이 되었으며, 실의에 빠져 자포자기하려는 자신을 경계시키고 일깨우는 스승이 되기도 하였다.
운동시 비만아동의 심전도 ST segment 에 관한 연구

This study aims to reveal the physical changes of obese children as well as their ST segments and myocardial oxygen uptake during the bicycle ergometer exercise at 60% V˙O_2 max of the maximum work load. 14 elementary school boys were chosen: 7 for the obesity group(fat≥20%) and 7 for the control group(fat<20%). During the work load of 60% V˙O_2max in the exercise with a bicycle ergometer, aerobic capacity, oxygen uptake and the changes of ST segments were examined. The following are the conclusions : 1. Oxygen uptake was similar at rest in both groups, but the obesity group tended to show higher values 1 minute after the exercise. From 5 minutes after the bicycle ergometer exercise, the obesity group was significantly higher(p<.05). 2. The ST level showed no difference between the two groups at rest, while both groups tended to decrease during the 60% V˙O_2max exercise. 3. The ST slope indicated no significant difference at rest, but each group revealed a tendency of increase during the 60% V˙O_2max bicycle ergometer exercise. 4. The ST index in both groups tended to increase during the bicycle ergometer exercise at 60% V˙O_2max. As described above, fat children showed some significant changes in oxygen uptake during the 60% V˙O_2max bicycle ergometer exercise. Also, during the exercise, the ST level was lowered, while the ST slope grew up.

To determine if initial infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis changes the balance of cytokines between T cells and macrophages, we evaluated interferon (IFN)-${\gamma}$), interleukin-12 (IL)-12, and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-${\alpha}$ productions by peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) from 15 untreated active pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) patients and 12 healthy tuberculin reactors (HTR). Freshly isolated PBMC were stimulated with Triton X-100 solubilized protein (TSP), 30-kDa or purified protein derivatives (PPD) antigen for 6, 18 and 96 hours. IL-12 p40 production by antigen-stimulated PBMC from TB patients was significantly decreased compared with that in HTR. In addition, IFN-${\gamma}$ production was significantly depressed in TB patients than that in HTR at a 96-hr stimulation. However, TNF-${\alpha}$ production was significantly higher in antigen-stimulated PBMC from TB than that of HTR. A pronounced increase in IFN-${\gamma}$ protein followed neutralization of IL-10 in early TB patients. However, neutralization of TNF-${\alpha}$ did not significantly alter IFN-${\gamma}$ induction in PBMC from TB patients. There were no significantly differences in the cytokine productions among three proteins, TSP, 30-kDa or PPD antigen. These results indicate that development of TB may be strongly associated with dysregulated productions of IL-12, IFN-${\gamma}$ and TNF-${\alpha}$, during the initial immune responses to M. tuberculosis. Further understanding of operative cytokine networks during human immune cell responses to protein antigens of M. tuberculosis may improve strategies for vaccine development.
