We present a pre processing system for the Atmospheric Infrared Sounder (AIRS) sounding suite onboard Aqua satellite. With its unprecedented 2378 channels in IR bands, AIRS aims at achieving the sounding accuracy [s1]of a radiosonde (1 K in 1-km layer for temperature and 10% in 2-km layer for humidity). The core of the pre p rocessor is the International MODIS/AIRS Processing Package (IMAPP) that performs the geometric and radiometric correction to compute the Earth's radiance. Then we remove spurious data and retrieve the brightness temperature (Tb). Since we process the direct-broadcast data almost for the first time among the AIRS directbroadcast community, special attention is needed to understand and verify the products. This includes the pixel-to-pixel verification of the direct-broadcast product with reference to the fullorbit product, which shows the difference of less than $10^{-3}$ K in IR Tb.

We know paranasal sinusitis is one of the most common disease in the field of otolaryngology. Especially in the case of chronic paranasal sinusitis, patient is sufferred from recurrence. So we prescribed Bojungikgitang(補中益氣湯) to the patients who were suffered from chronic paranasal sinusitis, and we witness some noticeable improvement. Here are the findings of my experience 1. The addition and subtraction temperament drugs of Bojungikgitang(補中益氣湯加減方) are effective to the patient of chronic and feeble paranasal sinusitis by the effect of removing wind(祛風), unnecessary metabolite(祛痰), and draining pus(排膿) and strengthening digestive organs(健碑) and enriching the lung yin(益肺陰) and alleviation of pain(止痛). 2. In the symptom of chronic paranasal siunutitis, nasal obstruction, postnasal drip, sputum, headache were quick to disappear, and dysosmia, internasal polyp, etc got better slower. 3. The most quick improvement appeared within two weeks and most symptoms improved within one month, and disappeared within two months.

This paper deals with the broadband electromagnetic emission test of a hybrid electric vehicle. The hybrid electric vehicle's powertrain system consists of an internal combustion engine and an EV traction motor. Depending on the SOC of the traction battery, these modes change automatically in the running state. The Korea electromagnetic compatibility regulations of KMVSS and UN WP.29 stipulated the evaluation method of hybrid electric vehicles. This study analyzes and compares two test results: internal combustion and electric motor mode. Some problems of test conditions are described and an improved test method is proposed for measuring broadband emissions of a hybrid electric vehicle. As a result, we expect this paper to be used as a consideration for improvement when test specifications are revised in the future.
생지황(生地黃)이 혈관신생, 세포생존 및 염증관련 단백질발현에 미치는 영향

Objective : Angiogenesis induced by hypoxia and inflammation are an essential process of solid tumors and psoriasis. We researched the HIF-1 ${\alpha}$ (hypoxia inducible factor 1 alpha), VEGF(Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor), survival related PI3K-Akt, and inflammation related COX-2 protein expressions to get the information of the mechanism and effects of Rehmannia glutinosa in HepG2 and HaCaT cell lines. Method : To investigate the roles of the Rehmannia glutinosa extract, we performed MTS assay and western blots using HaCaT cells and HepG2 cells. HaCaT cells and HepG2 cells were treated with $50{\mu}g/ml$ and $100{\mu}g/ml$ Rehmannia glutinosa extracts. After 4hrs, HaCaT cells were treated with IGF-II protein for 24hrs and HepG2 cells were treated with $CoCl_2$. Results : 1. We could ohserve that the reduction of the protein level of HIT-1 ${\alpha}$ induced by IGF-II in HaCaT cells. 2. We Could ohserve that the decreased PI3K-Akt and COX-2 expression level by Rehmannia glutinosa extracts treated in HaCaT cells independently ith ERK1/2. 3. We could observe that the reduction of the protein level of HIF-1 ${\alpha}$ induced by $CoCl_2$ in HepG2 cells. Conclusion : These results suggest that Rehmannia glutinosa extracts contributes to the anti-survival pathway and anti-inflammatory activities. Also, we could assume that Rehmannia glutinosa act as anti-inflanmmatory or anti-hypoxia agents via reduction of COX-2 and HIF-1 ${\alpha}$.

Cholera toxin, which has been frequently used as mucosal adjuvant, leads to an irreversible activation of adenylyl cyclase, thereby accumulating cAMP in target cells. Here, it was assumed that β2-adrenergic agonist salbutamol may have modulatory functions of immunity induced by DNA vaccine, since β2-adrenergic agonists induce a temporary cAMP accumulation. To test this assumption, the present study evaluated the modulatory functions of salbutamol co-administered with DNA vaccine expressing gB of herpes simplex virus (HSV) via intranasal (i.n.) route. We found that the i.n. co-administration of salbutamol enhanced gB-specific IgG and IgA responses in both systemic and mucosal tissues, but optimal dosages of co-administered salbutamol were required to induce maximal immune responses. Moreover, the mucosal co-delivery of salbutamol with HSV DNA vaccine induced Th2-biased immunity against HSV antigen, as evidenced by IgG isotypes and Th1/Th2-type cytokine production. The enhanced immune responses caused by co-administration of salbutamol provided effective and rapid responses to HSV mucosal challenge, thereby conferring prolonged survival and reduced inflammation against viral infection. Therefore, these results suggest that salbutamol may be an attractive adjuvant for mucosal genetic transfer of DNA vaccine.

Vertigo is one of the common symptoms that we can see often clinically. It is hallucination to motion of oneself or surroundings. Vertigo include not only simple whirling sensation but also leaning or falling down sensation. Particularly in benign paroxysmal positional vertigo(BPPV), the principal symptom is dizziness and accompanied by nausea, lightheadness, vomiting. They are induced by positional change which like shake ones head or lay down or turn over in one' s sleep. Cause of BPPV is otoconium fragments which are released from inner ear and stimulate ampulla of semicircular canal. So in treatment BPPV, we often using the Dix-hallpike maneuver that realignment otoconium fragments. A case of vertigo patient suggested BPPV who is diagnosed oriental medically as weakly dizziness showed prominent improvement by medicate Bojungikgi-tang and operate otoconium-realignmentation (improved Dix-hallpike maneuver) maneuver so we reported.

It is of considerable importance for tourism destination marketing organizations (DMOs) to understand the effects of various types of imagery-evoking stimuli on tourists’ visionary responses to advertising material. Accordingly, they face the need to evaluate the efficacy of advertising promotions. To date, however, there has been a paucity of research on the cognitive processes underlying the observed effects of ads featuring visuals and text versus audio mental imagery only within the context of the tourism field. This study explores how ads that include visuals and text compare with high imagery audio imagery in destination advertisements in affecting the allocation of processing resources to encode the message in memory. This study introduces a psychophysiology model?LC4MP?and a physiological measure (i.e., heart rate) that examines mental processing of tourism ads. The results indicate that high-imagery audio ads appear to lead people to invest more effort into committing the images to memory. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

BP 텍사스 시티의 석유정제소의 화재폭발은 2005년에 가장 많은 인명의 손실을 끼친 유동화자산의 화재폭발사고로서 15인의 생명을 앗아가고 200여 명의 사람을 다치게 하였다. 트럭 한 대의 역화(내연기관의 부정폭발)에서 시작된 점화원은 이성질체화시스템(ISOM) 대기암 통기구에서의 가연성 탄화수소 액체와 증발 기체를 발화시켰다. 화학안전위원회는 그 사고를 조사 및 검토한 후 BP사가 모든 면에서 기계적인 결함과 함께 안전성이 불완전하였음을 발견하였다. 본 고는 저자들이 미국화학안전위험조사위원회에 제출한 이들의 조사보고서를 번역 게재한 것이다.
