실감형콘텐츠를 활용한 과학수업이 초등학생들의 과학 개념 형성에 미치는 효과

이 연구의 목적은 실감형콘텐츠를 활용한 과학 수업이 초등학생들의 과학 지식 형성 정도, 과학개념의 구조화 정도에 미치는 영향과 과학 수업에 대한 만족도를 알아보는 데 있다. 연구결과 과학 지식의 형성 정도, 개념의 구조화 정도 모두 향상되었다. 실감형콘텐츠를 활용한 수업이 학생들의 수업에 대한 흥미와 즐거움으로 이어져 학생들이 수업에 더욱 집중하게 되고 스스로 콘텐츠를 조작하는 과정을 통해 과학 지식의 형성 정도, 개념의 구조화 정도가 높아졌다고 할 수 있다. 실감형콘텐츠를 활용한 과학 수업 만족도 조사 결과 과학 수업 및 과학에 대한 흥미도는 실감형콘텐츠를 활용하여 수업하였더니 대부분 학생이 흥미를 보였지만 과학에 대한 흥미가 변하지 않은 학생들도 있었다. 이는 이번 단원에만 실감형콘텐츠를 활용하여 이러한 결과가 나타났다고 보고 꾸준히 실감형콘텐츠를 활용한 수업을 진행한다면 과학 수업 및 과학에 대한 흥미도가 높아질 것으로 생각한다. The purpose of this study is to find out the impact of science classes using realistic content on the degree of scientific knowledge formation, the degree of structuralization of scientific concepts, and satisfaction with science classes. Research has shown that both the degree of scientific knowledge formation and the degree of conceptualization have been improved. Classes using realistic content have led to students interest and enjoyment in their classes, making students more focused on their classes, and the degree of formation of scientific knowledge and the structure of concepts has increased through the process of manipulating content on their own. According to a survey of satisfaction with science classes using realistic content, most students showed interest in science classes and science, but some students did not change their interest in science. This is based on the results of using realistic content only in this unit, and if classes using realistic content are steadily conducted, I think interest in science classes and science will increase.

Benign tumors of the middle ear cavity have wide spectrum of diseases. Facial nerve Schwannomas which arise along the facial nerve course are rare benign neoplasms that can be found in the middle ear cavity. Ipsilateral facial palsy and hearing impairment are the most common presentations. But because of the diversity of symptoms ranging from asymptomatic to atypical manifestations, the exact diagnosis of facial nerve Schwannoma may be difficult and the treatment can be delayed. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment strategies are essential to preserve audiologic, vestibular and facial nerve function. We report a case of the facial nerve Schwannoma in intratemproal area masquerading as other benign tumors of middle ear cavity such as tympanic paraganglioma in a 58-year-old man presenting with left earfullness and hearing impairment without presenting facial palsy. We describe the diagnosis and the treatment strategies of facial nerve Schwannoma.
Homogeneity of XEN Cells Is Critical for Generation of Chemically Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells

In induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), pluripotency is induced artificially by introducing the transcription factors Oct4, Sox2, Klf4, and c-Myc. When a transgene is introduced using a viral vector, the transgene may be integrated into the host genome and cause a mutation and cancer. No integration occurs when an episomal vector is used, but this method has a limitation in that remnants of the virus or vector remain in the cell, which limits the use of such iPSCs in therapeutic applications. Chemical reprogramming, which relies on treatment with small-molecule compounds to induce pluripotency, can overcome this problem. In this method, reprogramming is induced according to the gene expression pattern of extra-embryonic endoderm (XEN) cells, which are used as an intermediate stage in pluripotency induction. Therefore, iPSCs can be induced only from established XEN cells. We induced XEN cells using small molecules that modulate a signaling pathway and affect epigenetic modifications, and devised a culture method which can produce homogeneous XEN cells. At least 4 passages were required to establish morphologically homogeneous chemically induced XEN (CiXEN) cells, whose properties were similar to those of XEN cells, as revealed through cellular and molecular characterization. Chemically iPSCs derived from CiXEN cells showed characteristics similar to those of mouse embryonic stem cells. Our results show that the homogeneity of CiXEN cells is critical for the efficient induction of pluripotency by chemicals.
실감형 콘텐츠를 활용한 초등 과학 수업 프로그램 개발 및 적용

최근 다양한 실감형 콘텐츠(VR, AR)를 활용한 학습 방법 및 수업 자료의 개발이 지속해서 이루어지고 있다. 실감형 콘텐츠는 인간의 오감을 극대화하여 실제와 유사한 경험을 제공하는 차세대 콘텐츠로서, 실감형 콘텐츠를 활용한다면 과학 교과에서 직접 관찰하기 어렵거나, 텍스트나 2D 자료로만 설명하기 어려운 정보들을 증강 현실·가상 현실 속에서 볼 수 있고, 그 효과도 높을 것으로 보인다. 그러나 실제 현장에서는 실감형 콘텐츠를 활용한 다양한 프로그램의 부족으로 실감형 콘텐츠를 활용한 수업이 활발하게 이루어지지 않고 있다. 이 연구의 목적은 실감형 콘텐츠를 활용한 초등 과학 수업 프로그램을 개발하고, 학생들에게 어떠한 영향력을 미치는지 알아보기 위한 연구이다. 이를 위해 6학년 2학기 ‘우리 몸의 구조와 기능’ 단원을 중심으로 실감형 콘텐츠를 활용한 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하였다.

This study surveyed mushrooms as part of the Hallasan Natural Reserve Basic Academic Survey, which was conducted for the purposes of securing basic data on the Hallasan Mountain Natural Reserve; our study targeted the area between Seongpanak Trail and Donnaeko Trail from April to October 2018. A total of 392 species from 184 genera in 65 families were investigated. Among them, 187 mushrooms were wood-decaying species. The greatest diversity in mushroom species was recorded in July (206 species) at an altitude of 600-800 m above sea level. Among the mushrooms investigated, five were climate-sensitive biological indicator species and two were potential candidates for that classification. Of these, 163 species were biological resources that require approval for overseas export.
