      • JND 시각 효과를 이용한 프랙탈 영상 부호화

        본 논문에서는 프랙탈 부호화를 효율적으로 수행하기 위해서 기존의 Jacquin방법에서 사용한 Ramamurthi와 Gersho의 분류 방법인 경사도. (gradient) 대신에 블럭의 분산값을 근사화된 JND로써 정규화한 JND(Just Noticeable Difference) 분류기(classifier)를 이용한 프랙탈 영상 부호화 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 프랙탈 부호화에서는 인간 시각의 특성에 적절히 부합되도록 하기위하여 JND 분류기를 이용하여 영상을 둔감한 블럭, 중간 블럭, 민감한 블럭으로 분류한 후 각각의 블록 특성에 따라 적응적으로 프랙탈 부호화를 수행하였다. 제안한 프랙탈 부호화 방법의 타당성을 확인하기 위하여 512×512 크기의 LENA 영상에 모의실험한 결과 0.37 bits/pel에서 기존의 Jacquin 방법에 비해 인간 시각적 특성에서 민감한 영역에서 블럭화 현상이 많이 줄어서 화질이 향상 되었다. We presented a classifier replaced Jacquin's classifier by normalized variance of the blocks by JND visual effect to reduce blocking effect. The classifier classify blocks into one of three classes such as low activity blocks, medium activity blocks, and high activity blocks. Experiments show that the presented fractal image coding reduced blocking effect at 0.37 bits/pel, also the PSNR impreoved 0.17 dB for LENA (512×512×8bpp) image.

      • 流動層 燒却盧에서 段階的 燒却法에 의한 都市下水슬러지의 燒却

        The characteristics of combustion and pollutant emission from a fluidized bed incinerator, in which waste activated sludge from municipal sewage treatment plant was burnt on the staged combustion modes, were investigated under the several operating conditions. The dried waste activated sludge with the moisture content of 4.5% and the heating value of about 4,200 kacal/kg dry solid was used in this study. With the variation of operating paramenters, such as bed temperature, superficial air velocity, and excess air ratio, temperature distributions in the incinerator and characteristics of ash drain rates and pollutant emission from the incinerator were measured. As the dried sludge had high volatile content, the maximum temperature appeared at upper region of fluidized bed surface in measured temperature distributions and the axial position of maximum temperature moved up with increase of superficial air velocity. The measured combustible contents of fly ash and bottom ash were lower than 3% and 0.4%, respectively. Thus, combustion efficiencies showed very high values of over 99.6% and were not severly affected by the variations of bed temperature and superficial air velocity. However, as the excess air ratio was increased, combustion efficiencies were decreased by the temperature drop in the freeboard region. The concentration of Co in exhausted gas was increased substantially with the increase of superficial air velocity which could reduce residence time of devolatilized gas in the freeboard. However, concentrations of SO₂and No?? were decreased slightly with the increase of superficial air velocity.

        The pension and fund raising institutions of our country has been growing rapidly in quantity. But in respect of quality, They loose asset management, inability in application of sophisticated financial skill, less flexibility in business operation, lack in entrepreneurship of top manager, and inapt handling of drastic environmental change which they are confronted cause thorn to be drowned in unstable financial status. People obliging tem be a member of these institutions regardless of theiy will expect to improve effective operation of pension and funcls So the performance of these institutions is closely related with the stabilization of livelihood and the welfare of their members. This article has suggested some financial schemes which would lead to the good performance of these institutions, particularly in their fund raising perspective.

      • 상악동에 발생한 국균증 2례

        국균증은 토양, 유기체 그리고 모든 형태의 유기물 잔사에 광범위하게 존재하는 국균 (Aspergillus) 속에 의하여 발병한다.이 균의 포자는 공기 중에서 전염될 수 있으므로 가장 흔한 감염 진균 중 하나이다.부비동에 발생한 국균증은 초기 임상 증상이 만성 부비동염과 유사하며, 방사선 사진 등을 이용한 검사상도 일반 세균성 감염과 구별하기가 매우 어렵다.대개는 병리조직학적 검사로 국균을 확인해서 확진을 내리게된다.국균증의 치료는 외과적으로 상악동내의 병소를 완전히 제거하고 비강에로 충분한 공기를 통기시키는 것이 가장 중요하며 보조적으로 전신적인 항진균제를 사용해야한다. 증례는 40세와 24세인 여자 환자들로서 전신적으로는 건강했으며 임상적 방사선적으로 만성 상악동 증세를 보였다.상악동 근치술을 시행하면서 국균종으로 여겨지는 암갈색 덩어리들이 관찰되었고 술 후 병리조직검사상 국균증으로 진단되었다.국균증으로 진단 후 보조적으로 전신적 항진균제를 투약하였으며 재발없이 치유되었다. Aspergillus is a fungus of the Acetomyces class that is most commonly encountered in the human environment.Aspergillosis of the maxillary sinus is not common and it requires special consideration to diagnose and eradicate. The disease is characterized by a wide range of initial symptoms, and should be considered as a possible diagnosis in sinusitis refractory to antibiotics and antral lavage. Generally the diagnosis of sinus aspergillosis can be confirmed by histologic examination, however, characteristic radiographic appearance such as coherene of radiodense sinus concretions can be found by careful examination of the radiograms. The choice of treatment of maxillary sinus aspergillosis is radical surgery with adjunctive systemic antifungal therapy. We experienced two cases of maxillary sinus aspergillosis, which initially diagnosed as chronic maxillary sinusitis and showed a necrotic mass intraoperatively and histologically diagnosed as aspergillosis.We reports theses cases with review of literature.

      • 신뢰성에 기초한 PC빔교의 내하력 평가

        In most countries road bridges are subjected to increasingly heavy freight traffic with a number of exceptional truck loads. This has made it necessary to devote particular attention to the evaluation of safety and load-carrying capacity of bridges, which is a vital process in the decision-making for maintenance, repair, strengthening, or even replacement of existing road bridges. However, most countries including Korea do not have a comprehensive rating system or rating code. Furthermore, the current methods of rating of road bridges are dependent on the conventional design concepts and the safety parameters of the current bridge design codes. A practical reliability model for the safety assessment and rating of existing PC beam bridges are developed by explicitly incorporating the degree of deterioration and damages based on available inspection or field test data. AFOSM methods are used for the reliability analysis of the proposed models. The proposed reliability model and methods are applied to the safety assessment of existing PC beam bridges in Korea.

      • 자기공명영상용 라디오주파수 코일의 제작에 있어서 동조 및 매칭에 영향을 미치는 전기 용량 값들의 실험적 측정

        Radio frequency coil which is capable of transmit and receive the signal has been used for image production in magnetic resonance imaging(MRI). Tuning and matching characteristic of radio frequency coil is major factor determining the image quality. In experiment the used coil was called a staircase type coil which is simplified the birdcage coil and referred to a simple LC resonant circuit. Because the inductance values of the coils are fixed coil performance was examined by changing of the capacitance values. In this study capacitance values were experimentally determined to increase of-tuning and matching effect in junction of the coil between coil endring and BNC cable to obtain the high quality of image.

      • 본태성 고혈압이 동반된 당뇨병환자의 혈중 인슐린 농도

        Multiple lines of evidence link elevated blood pressure with diabetes mellitus. Specifically, it has been proposed that resistance to insulin-stimulated glucose uptake and hyperinsulinemia may play a central role in the cause and clinical course of hypertension. In diabetes mellitus, insulin resistance and/or hyperinsulinemia is an common finding and it is interesting whether the hyperinsulinemia may play a signigicant role in hypertension with DM in the same way as in essential hypertension without diabetes mellitus. The object of this study was to compare insulin and c-peptide levels between age, sex, and obesity matched two groups(DM with DM without hypertension). Method The study group consisted of 55 male diabetes mellitus patients, aged between 45-55 (years). Patients with obesity (body mass index · 30 ㎏/m2), renal disease (proteinuria · 300 ㎎/24hr urine), and secondary hypertension were excluded. Insulin and c-peptide were measured in overnight fasting state and after oral administration of glucose(75 gm). In the fasting, venous plasma glucose levels were similar in the hypertensive and control group(132 ±7 ㎎/dl vs 135 ±8 ㎎/dl). In the fasting, venous plasma insulin levels were higher in the hypertensive than in the control group (10.9 ±5.3 μIU/ml vs 5.5 ±3.9 μIU/ml, p = 0.0001). After loading with 75 gm glucose, venous plasma insulin level seems to be higher in the hypertensive patients than in the control patients, but the difference was not signigicant statistically (27.2 ±17.5 μIU/ml vs 19.9 ±18.9 μIU/ml, p = 0.1297). The mean insulin concentration of the essential hypertensive patients with diabetes mellitus was twice that of the normotensive patients with diabetes mellitus. In control group, there was a direct relations between insulin level and c-peptide, in both fasting state (R = 0.617, p = 0.0001) and glucose-loaded state (R = 0.531, p = 0.001). But in hypertensive group, there was no relations between insulin level and c-peptide, in both fasting state (R = 0.257, p = 0.2738) and glucose-loaded state (R = 0.307, p = 0.1885).

      • 보리새우, Penaeus japonicus의 中腸에서의 Glycine Transport

        Glycine transport through mucosal border of the columnar epithelium on the marin shrimp, P. japonicus midgut has been investigated with particular emphasis on the interaction to Na^+. The transmural fluxes of the amino acid across the midgut wall were also determined. 1. Mucosal glycine uptake occurred via Na^+-dependent and Na^+-independent carrier processes, and the passive movement of glycine. 2. Mucosal and serosal glycine uptakes in normal saline were higher than those in Na^+-free medium, but lower than those in Cl^--free medium. 3. L-alanine was acted like a competitive inhibitor of mucosal glycine entry process. 4. Exit process of glycine across the mucosal membrane was accelerated by the presence of L-alanine in the medium. 5. Prediction equation of saturable glycine uptake was derived from experimental data. 6. Turning point and regression coefficients of segmented linear regression for the high affinity and low affinity components of glycine carrier were determined by using computer. 7. Ultrastructural changes of mucosal epithelial cells related to the experimental treatments were observed through transmission and scanning electron microscope.
