        Performance Analysis of Group Recommendation Systems in TV Domains

        Although researchers have proposed various recommendation systems, most recommendation approaches are for single users and there are only a small number of recommendation approaches for groups. However, TV programs or movies are most often viewed by groups rather than by single users. Most recommendation approaches for groups assume that single users’ profiles are known and that group profiles consist of the single users’ profiles. However, because it is difficult to obtain group profiles, researchers have only used synthetic or limited datasets. In this paper, we report on various group recommendation approaches to a real large scale dataset in a TV domain, and evaluate the various group recommendation approaches. In addition, we provide some guidelines for group recommendation systems, focusing on home group users in a TV domain.

        Sentiment Analysis in Microblogs Using HMMs with Syntactic and Sentimental Information

        In this paper, we propose an approach for sentiment analysis in microblogs that learns patterns of syntactic and sentimental word transitions. Because sentences are sequences of words, we can more accurately analyze sentiments by properly modeling the sequential patterns of words in sentimental sentences. However, most previous research has focused on just extending feature sets using n-grams, POS tags, polarity lexicons, etc., without considering sequential patterns. Our proposed approach first identifies groups of words that have similar syntactic and sentimental roles, called SIGs (similar syntactic and sentimental information groups). We then build HMMs using the SIGs as hidden states for the initialization. The SIGs function as the prior knowledge of formative elements of sentimental sentences for HMMs. By using the SIGs, HMMs can start with informative hidden states and more precisely model the transition patterns of words in sentimental sentences with robust probability estimation. For the performance evaluation, we compare the proposed approach with existing ones using HCR dataset. The result shows that the proposed approach outperforms the previous ones in various performance measures.

        살아있는(in-vivo)실험체에서 여러 차례 획득된 영상의 관심영역 특성을 측정, 분석하기 위한 영상처리기법의 정확성은 동물을 희생시켜(in-vitro) 촬영한 영상과의 정량적 비교분석을 통해 검증할 수 있다. 하지만 육안검사에 의존한 기존 분석방법은 객관성이 떨어지는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 in-vivo영상인 PET 영상과, in-vitro영상인 Autoradiography 영상에서 관심영역 특성을 객관적, 정량적으로 비교하는 방법을 제안한다. 종양을 심은 누드마우스에 방사성 동위원소를 표지하여 획득한 이 두 영상에서 종양 조직 성장 지표가 되는 체적과 조직의 활성도를 나타내는 방사능섭취량(SUV)을 각각 측정하고 이를 비교하였다. 또한 두 영상획득의 시간차에 의해 방사성동위원소가 붕괴되어 영상 전체의 명암도가 감소하게 되므로 시간에 반비례하게 변하는 방사성동위원소의 양을 고려하여 영상명암도를 보정하였다.

        Ginsenoside Re inhibits pacemaker potentials via adenosine triphosphate-sensitive potassium channels and the cyclic guanosine monophosphate/nitric oxide-dependent pathway in cultured interstitial cells of Cajal from mouse small intestine

        Background: Ginseng belongs to the genus Panax. Its main active ingredients are the ginsenosides. Interstitial cells of Cajal (ICCs) are the pacemaker cells of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. To understand the effects of ginsenoside Re (GRe) on GI motility, the authors investigated its effects on the pacemaker activity of ICCs of the murine small intestine. Methods: Interstitial cells of Cajal were dissociated from mouse small intestines by enzymatic digestion. The whole-cell patch clamp configuration was used to record pacemaker potentials in cultured ICCs. Changes in cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) content induced by GRe were investigated. Results: Ginsenoside Re ($20-40{\mu}M$) decreased the amplitude and frequency of ICC pacemaker activity in a concentration-dependent manner. This action was blocked by guanosine 50-[${\beta}-thio$]diphosphate [a guanosine-5'-triphosphate (GTP)-binding protein inhibitor] and by glibenclamide [an adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-sensitive $K^{+}$ channel blocker]. To study the GRe-induced signaling pathway in ICCs, the effects of 1H-[1,2,4]oxadiazolo[4,3-a]quinoxalin-1-one (a guanylate cyclase inhibitor) and RP-8-CPT-cGMPS (a protein kinase G inhibitor) were examined. Both inhibitors blocked the inhibitory effect of GRe on ICC pacemaker activity. L-NG-nitroarginine methyl ester ($100{\mu}M$), which is a nonselective nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibitor, blocked the effects of GRe on ICC pacemaker activity and GRe-stimulated cGMP production in ICCs. Conclusion: In cultured murine ICCs, GRe inhibits the pacemaker activity of ICCs via the ATP-sensitive potassium ($K^{+}$) channel and the cGMP/NO-dependent pathway. Ginsenoside Re may be a basis for developing novel spasmolytic agents to prevent or alleviate GI motility dysfunction.

        Nomological Network를 통한 자기조절학습동기의 구인타당화

        본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 중학생들의 자기조절학습을 촉진시키는 동기적 측면의 개인차를 이해하기 위해 동기의 인지론적 관점을 기반으로 하여 자기조절학습동기 구인을 탐색하고 이를 측정할 수 있는 척도를 개발하여 타당성을 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 선행연구 및 문헌고찰을 토대로 자기조절학습동기 구인을 탐색하여 기대×가치이론으로부터 체계화한 자기효능감, 학업가치, 목표지향성의 3가지 차원을 구성요인으로 한 척도를 개발하였다. 척도에 대한 내적 타당성 검증을 위해 탐색적, 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였고, 외적타당성 검증을 위해 준거타당도를 검증하였다. 뿐만 아니라 자기조절학습동기와 가정환경, 자기조절학습 및 학교생활적응과의 관계구조모형을 분석함으로써 nomological network를 통한 구인타당도 검증을 실시하였다. 앞으로 개발된 자기조절학습동기 척도를 통해 자기조절학습을 비롯한 성공적인 학교생활적응을 촉진시키는 학습동기의 특성을 통합적으로 측정할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a self-regulated learning motivation scale based on cognitive motivation theory and previous studies to understand individual variation of motivational aspects between Korean middle school students. For this purpose, the preliminary scale of self-regulated learning motivation was investigated and developed based on the previous studies and theories related to them. It included three dimensional constructs of self-efficacy, academic value and goal orientation based on expectancy×value theory. After the exploratory factor analysis and the confirmatory factor analysis for the test of internal validity, the researcher conducted the criterion validity for the test of external validity. Also, the researcher conducted the correlation analysis and structural equation analysis among home environment, self-regulation learning and school adjustment within nomological network for the validity. These results indicated that the self-regulated learning motivation scale would measure student`s integrative learning motivation to improve successful school adjustment as well as self-regulation learning.

      • '쫄' 교복이 인체에 미치는 영향

        목적 : 최근 학생들 사이에서 교복을 줄여서 꽉 끼게 입는 현상을 흔히 관찰 할 수 있다. 일반적으로 ‘쫄’ 교복 착용이 건강재해를 유발할 것이라는 생각은 많지만 관련된 연구는 드물다. 본 연구는 ‘쫄’ 교복 착용이 소화기계에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 시행하게 되었다. 대상 및 방법: ‘쫄’ 교복 착용에 의한 행동의 부자유도와 옆터짐 정도를 본 연구진이 개발한 INDEX 조사를 통하여 측정하였다. 00여고 2학년 198명에 대해 ‘쫄 교복 착용군 89명, 미착용군 109명을 설문조사하였다. 결과 : 일개 여고생들에게 ‘쫄’ 교복 착용률은 44.9%이었으며 조기 포만감과 상복부 이물감 호소율이 ‘쫄’ 교보 착용군에서 미착용군 보다 유의하게 높았다(P<0.05). 소화기계 증상 발생의 위험 요인에 대한 다중 로지스틱회귀분석에서 줄여 입은 군의 줄여 이비 않은 군에 대한 교차비는 2.01(95% CI 1.05-3.83), 아침을 먹은 군이 먹지 않은 군에 대한 교차비는 0.32(95% CI 0.10-0.99), 스트레스가 있는 군이 없는 군에 대한 교차비는 2.65(95% CI 1.31-5.38)로 조사되었다. 결론 : 여고생에서 ‘쫄’ 착용은 소화기계의 건강장해를 유발한다고 조사되었다. 단순한 유행의 하나로 '쫄‘ 교복을 착용할 수는 있지만 이로 인한 건강장해가 발생한다면 이는 청소년들에서 중요한 문제를 유발할 수 있다. ’쫄‘ 교복착용의 부작용에 대한 다양하고 심도있는 연구가 필요하며 일선 학교에서도 홍보와 계도가 필요하다. Objectives : This study was carried out to evaluate the health effects of a tight school uniform in high school girls. Of the health effects, we focused gastrointestinal disorders. Methods : We conducted a questionnaire survey of 198 students at a girls' high school in Gyeongju. One hundred ninety eight students were divided into two groups by wearing on a tight school uniform(TSU) and a loose school uniform(LSU). We have measured the extent of discomfort related to motion and a garment rips through tightness INDEX developed by the authors. Results : The proportion of students wearing TSU was 44.9%. TSU group complained significantly more early gastric satiety and epigastric foreign body sensation than LSU group (P<0.05). Multiple logistic regression, TSU(OR=2.01, 95% CI:1.05-3.83), regular breakfast(OR=0.32, 95% CI:0.10-0.99), and stress (OR=2.65, 95% CI:1.31-5.38) were significantly associated with gastrointestinal symptoms. Conclusions : The results of this study indicate that the clothing pressure from a tight school uniform has some effects on the gastrointestinal disorder. More extensive epidemiological studies and public activities for adverse effects of a TSU is needed.
