Today, almost all families are quipped with computers. At the same time, we can find lots of side-effects because of computers. If young students, who tend to be unable to control their impulses once they are immersed in internet, the problem will be more serious. It could be happened that the young students can't distinguish the real from the image. Therefore, it is important to grasp the actual condition of juvenile Internet addicts and their practical life, and to come up with basic materials necessary for working out countermeasures. This study surveyed 339 high school students from three high schools in the area of Seoul. Data collection were collected from 22nd of December, 2003 to 27th of December 2003. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS program using T-test, ANAVA and Pearson correlation coefficient. The results were as follows: First, of the 333 respondents 9.61% of them were high-risk internet using group, 15.02% of them were potential-risk internet using group. 25% of then were identified as addicted group. Second, the more addicted the subjects are, the lower their level of school adjustment becomes. For the addicted group, it is difficult to adjust their school and to have a good relationship with friend. Third, the more addicted the subjects are, the lower their level of friendship becomes. The subordinate areas of friendship have same results as the level of Internet addiction and the extent of friendship. If students are addicted to Internet, it is difficult to find friends who can give them encouragement in practical life. Firth, there was a negative relationship between Internet addiction and school adjustment, and, there was a negative relationship between Internet addiction and friendship. Through this study we have seized the relationship between Internet addiction and school adjustment and friendship. As a result, the more addicted, the more difficult to adjust to school. And for the students who were addicted, it is difficult to make a friend.
Willingness-to-pay of patients with chronic skin diseases

Background: Chronic skin diseases have significant impacts on the quality of life (QoL) of the patients, although not life threatening. Recently, willingness-to-pay (WTP) questionnaire was developed to assess disease burden economically. Objectives: To evaluate WTP in patients with chronic skin diseases in Korea. Methods: We enrolled patients with 7 chronic skin diseases including atopic dermatitis (AD), psoriasis, vitiligo, alopecia areata (AA), chronic urticaria (CU), rosacea, and seborrheic dermatitis (SD). QoL was evaluated using the Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) questionnaire, and WTP was assessed from two aspects: monthly WTP for disease control and one-time WTP for disease cure. Results: A total of 477 patients (216 males; mean age: 41.6 years) were enrolled (AD: 85, psoriasis: 58, vitiligo: 93, AA: 47, CU: 82, rosacea: 58, and SD: 54). While the median DLQI score was highest in AD patients (13), the median monthly WTP control and one-time WTP cure were highest in vitiligo ($134 and $1891 each). WTP did not show a positive correlation with BSA in vitiligo, unlike AD and psoriasis. Conclusion: We demonstrate that WTP was the highest in vitiligo, although it had a lower DLQI score than others. It may imply that DLQI is not a critical indicator of patient’s treatment decision. Furthermore, vitiligo patients with small BSA (<1%) also have high WTP comparable to those with large BSA, unlike AD and psoriasis.

<P>New host molecules such as 9-(6-(9<I>H</I>-carbazol-9-yl)pyridin-3-yl)-6-(9<I>H</I>-carbazol-9-yl)-9<I>H</I>-pyrido[2,3-<I>b</I>]indole (pPCB2CZ) and 9-(6-(9<I>H</I>-carbazol-9-yl)pyridin-2-yl)-6-(9<I>H</I>-carbazol-9-yl)-9<I>H</I>-pyrido[2,3-<I>b</I>]indole (mPCB2CZ) were designed and synthesized for blue phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (PhOLEDs). The glass transition temperatures of two host molecules were measured higher than 120 °C, and the identical triplet energies were determined to be 2.92 eV for both molecules. The bis(3,5-difluoro-2-(2-pyridyl)phenyl-(2-carboxypyridyl)iridium(III) (FIrpic)-doped mPCB2CZ-based PhOLED exhibited practically useful driving voltage of 4.8 V in a simple organic three layer device configuration which has a smaller number of interfaces in conventional multilayer PhOLEDs. Gliotoxin은 Penicillium, Aspergillus, Gliocladium 및 Thermoascus와 같은 곰팡이들로부터 생성되며 여러 가지 곰팡이에 의한 질병이나 면역조절기능 같은 다양한 생리적 효과를 나타낸다. 최근에 다양한 세포주에서 gliotoxin에 의한 아폽토시스의 기전이 밝혀지고 있으며, Gliotoxin에 의한 아폽토시스 유도 시 칼슘의 농도가 증가하는 현상이 보고 되었다. 본 연구에서는 칼슘 및 칼슘과 상보적인 PKC를 전처리 한 세포에서 gliotoxin의 효과에 대하여 살펴보았다. Gliotoxin에 의한 세포의 손상에는 bcl-2 family인 bad의 발현이 증가하는 현상을 보였으며, 그와 반대로 bcl-2의 발현은 감소하였다. 또한 gliotoxin을 처리한 세포에서는 시간 의존적으로 caspase-3의 활성 증가와 DNA 분절현상이 관찰되었다. 칼슘과 PKC를 전 처리한 세포에서는 gliotoxin에 의한 세포의 손상을 억제하였으며, bcl-2의 발현이 대조군과 유사하였고 bad는 발현되지 않았다. 또한 caspase-3를 비활성화 시키고, DNA 분절을 억제시켰다. 이들 결과를 통하여 알 수 있는 것은, gliotoxin에 의한 세포의 죽음은 사립체에서 cytochrome c의 방출과 동시에 pro-apoptotic bcl-2 family의 발현을 통해서 caspase-3가 활성화되고, 그 결과 DNA 분절을 일으켜 아폽토시스를 유발시키는 것으로 추정된다. 칼슘 및 PKC를 전처리한 경우에는 사립체에서 bcl-2 family 부분에서 bad와 같은 pro-apoptotic bcl-2 family의 발현을 억제시킴으로써 그 후에 오는 caspase-3의 활성을 차단하는 것으로 사료된다. Aspergillus funigatus and other pathogenic fungi synthesize a toxic epidithi- odiopiperzine (ETP) metabolite, namely gliotoxin. Gliotoxin commonly react with sulfhydryl groups, and then, forms hydrogen peroxide. These fungal toxins induce apoptotic cell death in various cells. Apoptosis induced by gliotoxin need calcium. Effect of calcium preconditioning was not reported in gliotoxin-induced apoptosis. To examine the effect of protein kinase C (PKC) and calcium which was regulate caspase-3, PKC and calcium preconditioning before gliotoxin treatment, apoptotic agents such as bcl-2 family, caspase-3 and DNA fragmentation in A7r5 cell line from rat smooth muscle cell were studied. These results showed that gliotoxin induces the expression of bad of bcl-2 family, caspase-3 activation and DNA fragmentation in A7r5 cells. Gliotoxin treatment followed by calcium and PKC preconditioning suppress the Bad of bcl-2 family, and inhibited caspase-3 activation, respectively. These results suggest that PKC and calcium preconditioning protect the gliotoxin-induced apoptosis, through the protection of pro-apoptotic bcl-2 family in A7r5 cells.
‘동그라미(Cireles)’ 프로그램을 적용한 사회(Social)-성(Sexuality) 교육 프로그램이 지적장애아의 사회-성 행동에 미치는 효과

본 연구는‘동그라미" 프로그램을 적용하여 지적장애아의 부적절한 사회-성 행동에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자, 개별사례연구(single subject study)의 중재비교 설계를 하였다. 연구 기간은 2015년 10월 5일부터 2015년 12월 18일까지 12주, 총 26회기로, 중재는 주 2회, 회기당 40분씩, 일대일로 진행하였다. 부적절한 사회-성 행동 빈도에 대한 측정은 작업치료사와 주 양육자인 어머니가 관찰하여 기록하였다. 대상자들의 부적절한 사회-성 행동의 변화는 기술통계 및 그래프를 이용한 시각적 분석법을 사용하였다. 연구 결과,‘동그라미" 프로그램 적용은 성교육비디오 시청보다 대상자들의 부적절한 사회-성 행동을 효과적으로 감소시켰고, 실제 지역사회에서 적절한 성-행동의 전이를 가능하게 하였다. 색깔 ‘동그라미"의 시각적 단서 및 메시지는 대상자들을 가치 있는 성적 존재로 인식하게 하였고, 다양한 사회적 관계와 상황을 구분하게 하여 적합한 사회-성 행동을 구조화할 수 있게 촉진하였다. 또한 어머니와 작업치료사에 의해 제공되는 적극적이고 일관성 있는 피드백과 실제 환경에서 필요한 사회성-행동에 대한 지도는 전이를 유발시키는데 조직적 지원이었다고 사료된다. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of "Circles" program on inappropriate social-sexuality behaviors of the children with intellectual disability. For this, treatment comparison design of single subject study was used. The study period was 12 weeks with 26 sessions, from October 5 to December 18, 2015. All subjects were provided the intervention for 40 minutes, two times a week, man to man. An occupational therapist and subject’s mother, main caregiver of a subject, observed and recorded frequency of the target sexual behaviors. Descriptive statistic and visual analysis using graph was used for change of the target sexual behaviors. As a result, their inappropriate target sexual behaviors were decreased by the "Circles" program effectively more than watching sex education video. Besides, the program enabled transition of the appropriate sexual behavior to real community. The subjects were able to realize that they are worthy sexual being and classify various social relationships and situations through visual cues and messages of the colored circles. This facilitates structuralization of appropriate social-sexual behaviors. Also, it was considered that active and consistent feedback and guidance about actually needed social-sexual behavior provided by occupational therapist and mother were organizational support triggering transition.

Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)-producing strains were isolated from four edible insects and subjected to 16S rRNA sequence analysis. Among the four GABA-producing bacteria, Enterococcus avium JS-N6B4 exhibited the highest GABA-production, while cultivation temperature, initial pH, aerobic condition, and mono-sodium glutamate (MSG) feeding were found to be the key factors affecting GABA production rate. The culture condition was optimized in terms of glucose, yeast extract, and MSG concentrations using response surface methodology (RSM). GABA production up to 16.64 g/l was obtained under the conditions of 7 g/l glucose, 45 g/l yeast extract, and 62 g/l MSG through the optimization of medium composition by RSM. Experimental GABA production was 13.68 g/l, which was close to the predicted value (16.64 g/l) calculated from the analysis of variance, and 2.79-fold higher than the production achieved with basic medium. Therefore, GABA-producing strains may help improve the GABA production in edible insects, and provide a new approach to the use of edible insects as effective food biomaterials.
