Hydrogen embrittlement cause decrease of it's mechanical properties during hydrogen dissolved in steels. Many mechanisms of hydrogen concentration researches have done, but it is not clearly known yet. In this study the effect of plastic deformation and external stress on mechanism of hydrogen concentration by high temperature hydro-genation treatment were investigated. The main results are as follow : 1)For short time fracture process, a defect rate of chemical potential energy is an important factor on hydrogen concentration for delayed fracture of steel processed with high temperature hydrogen. 2)For long time fracture process, the important element is long range diffusion of hydrogen due to the rate of effective hydrogen density and plastic deformation. 3)hydrogen concentration as plastic deformation vary in proportion to slope of plastic deformation. 4)Hydrogen concentration due to the effect of external stress, but this effect is limited in short range. 5)External stress is an acceleration element for delayed fracture of steel.

The paper deals with stress and deflection analyses for newly developed PP-pipe structures of LG-Caltex company. In order to calculate the values of stress and deflection, the elements of pipes and its hanger supports are discretized. Through the numerical simulations using commercial FEM code, stresses and deflections of pipes with two or more hanger supports are obtained, and the stability of pipes are checked. Finally, optimal numbers of hanger supports satisfying allowable bending stress is proposed.

This paper deals with the vibration and noise characteristics of three different kinds of pipe structures (PVC pipe, cast-iron pipe and newly developed pp pipe). In order to measure the structure born noise, an impact force generated by dropping a small ball was applied to three different kinds of pipes. It was confirmed that the structure born noise could be reduced by employing a high damping material. Also, transmission loss of a pipe was investigated for various frequency ranges by using a speaker as a sound source.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of heat application on the immune activities of the human body. To exam, furthermore, the immune effect from the healthy volunteer(male:15, female:15) by monitoring changes of immune substances such as various leukocytes[total white blood cell(WBC), eosinophil, neutrophil, basophil, monocyte, and lymphocyte], a comparative study with warm water immersion($40.8{\pm}0.3^{\circ}C$) and infrared(250W) was carried out. The plasma analysis showed that the count of white blood cell, eosinophil, and neutrophil were elevated in warm water immersion- or infrared. stimulated group compared with control group. However, the count of basophil was decreased in both warm water immersion- and infrared-stimulated group than control group. Therefore, these results suggest that the thermostimulation improved immune activity.
Catalytic enhancements in cytochrome P450 2C19 by cytochrome b5

Human cytochrome P450 2C19 catalyzes P450 enzyme reactions of various substrates, including steroids and clinical drugs. Recombinant P450 2C19 enzyme with histidine tag was successfully expressed in Escherichia coli and purified using affinity column chromatography. Ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass (UPLC-MS/MS) spectrometry showed that the purified P450 2C19 enzyme catalyzed 5-hydroxylation reaction of omeprazole. The purified enzyme displayed typical type I binding spectra to progesterone with a Kd value of 4.5 ± 0.2 μM, indicating a tight substrate binding. P450 2C19 catalyzed the hydroxylation of progesterone to produce 21-hydroxy (OH) as a major and 17-OH product as a minor product. Steady-state kinetic analysis of progesterone 21-hydroxylation indicated that the addition of cytochrome b5 stimulated a five-times catalytic turnover number of P450 2C19 with a kcat value of 1.07 ± 0.08 min− 1. The molecular docking model of progesterone in the active site of P450 2C19 displayed that the 21-carbon of progesterone was located close to the heme with a distance of 4.7 Å, suggesting 21-hydroxylation of progesterone is the optimal reaction of P450 2C19 enzyme for a productive orientation of the substrate. Our findings will help investigate the extent to which cytochrome b5 affects the metabolism of P450 2C19 to drugs and steroids.
Phytohormone profi les of ‘Seolhyang’ and ‘Maehyang’ strawberry fruits during ripening

The ripening pattern of strawberry ( Fragaria × ananassa ) is diff erent from other fruits, primarily because plant hormonesaff ect the fruit’s quality in a diff erent way than in other fruits. However, most studies on strawberries have focused on cultivationmethods, control of pests and diseases, and breeding, and considerably less research has been done on hormones thatdetermine strawberry internal quality. Even though strawberries have good indicators for gauging external quality, there isnot enough data to for it to be related to internal quality. As such, we sought to better understand quality as strawberry fruitin specifi c six progressive developmental stages: fl ower buds, fl owering, green fruits (GF), white fruits, pink fruits, andred fruits (RF). The internal quality and hormonal changes of ‘Seolhyang’ and ‘Maehyang’ cultivars were investigated onthe basis of these developmental stages. This report highlights the changes in plant hormones that aff ect fruit ripening of‘Seolhyang’ and ‘Maehyang’ cultivars. ABA, cytokinin, JA, and SA content increased gradually with maturity from the GFto the RF stage, while auxin content decreased gradually from GF to RF. Meanwhile, cytokinin and GA 3 content exhibitedfl uctuations and diff erences between ‘Seolhyang’ and ‘Maehyang’ cultivars. The quality of strawberries was highest at thesixth (RF) stage in the both cultivars. Our results reveal that plant hormones play a role in the maturation of strawberry fruitsand provide a foundation for their agricultural use in controlling the maturity of fruits.
만성신부전을 동반한 신장의 Oncocytomatosis 1예

Renal oncocytomas account for approximately 5% of renal parenchymal tumors. Usually it has unilateral solitary oncocytic nodule, but bilateral multifocal renal oncocytomasis is rare. The term renal oncocytoma should be used to characterize a well-differentiated renal epithelial tumor with eosinophilic granular cytoplasm that has benign behavior and favourable progress. Also, multiple oncocytoma distributed diffusely in both kidneys is termed renal oncocytomatosis. Because of the benign nature, multicentricity, possible bilaterality and absence of pathognomonic radiographic features, renal oncocytomas should be considered in differential diagnosis of solid masses, especially renal cell carcinoma. We report a patient with bilaleral multifocal renal oncocytomatosis, who had progressive renal failure. Renal oncocytomatosis was diagnosed pathologically after bilateral nephrectomy.
미국대학 구내식당에서 한식메뉴도입 가능성에 대한 탐색적연구

The purpose of this study is to explore, in the context of globalization of Korean food, the possibility of introducing Korean food for campus dining service in USA which has one of the biggest food markets. In-depth interview with 10 managerial level of staffs in campus dining service was conducted to investigate the possibility and challenges of adopting Korean menus in their campus dining service and provide helpful information for the globalization strategy of Korean food. This study found that the critical factors they consider for introduction of new menu are ‘profitability’, ‘easy and speedy cooking process’, ‘stable food display’, ‘customers’ ‘preference’, ‘food characteristics’, and ‘ingredients & equipment’. They indicated several positive aspects of Korean food for campus dining service: ‘existence of potential demand’, ‘high interest of American in new food’, ‘good for catering & buffet service’, and ‘variety and health of Korean food’. They also suggested several potential challenges: ‘uncertainty of student customers preference over Korean food’, ‘no information about marketing methods’, ‘different style of cooking process’, ‘time required for cooking & service’, ‘lack of information on Korean food’, and ‘consistent ingredient supply’.
