In this paper, we fabricated optical telemetry IC chip using CMOS process. The telemetering IC with the size of 4 ×4㎟ has the following functions: receiving of command signals, initialization of internal state of all functional blocks, decoding of subject-selection signal, time multiplexing of 4-channel modulated physiological signals, transmission of telemetry signal to extemal system, and auto power down control. The designed synchronous oscillator with low supply voltage dependence operates at a supply voltage from 4.6V-6.0V. And the nonlinearity error of PIM modulator was less than 1.2%FS. In order to demonstrate the principle operations of the implemented CMOSIC chip, the experiments of biotelemetry was performed by telemeter unit and external unit. Main features of this system are to select one of the 4 subjects, to enable measurement of biological signals using the same optical signal, and transmit them back to the extemal unit.

선속 변화에 의한 능동형 횡 동요감쇠장치의 효과

제주대학교 실습선 아라호에 장착된 능동형 횡 동요 감쇠장치의 성능이 선박의 속력과의 관계를 파악 하기 위하여 선박을 정지, 미속, 중속, 전속으로 구분하여 횡 동요 감쇠장치를 정지(Passive A.R.T), 작동(Active A.R.T)을 했을 때 경사계에 의한 횡 동요각 및 종 동요각, 풍속계에 의한 풍속의 변화에 의한 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 선박이 정지했을 때가 능동형 횡 동요 감쇠장치의 1/3, 1/10 횡 동요각 유의 진폭에서 감소률이 가장 높아 47.2%, 50.3%를 나타냈으며, 반면에 중속인 경우 가장 낮은7.1%, 7.4% 나타내므로, 이 장치는 선속의 변화에 차이가 있는 것으로 판단된다. 2. 선속의 변화에 따라 그 효율이 많은 차이가 있으므로 이 장치를 장착한 선박의 운항자는 이를 감안하여 작동하여야 할 것으로 생각되며, 통계분석 결과에 의해서 선속과 감소률의 관계를 회귀분석식으로 나타내어 보면 다음과 같았다. 즉, 횡동요각 유의 진폭 (Amplitude of and significant roll (φ_(1/3)) : y= -3.233χ + 45.613 횡동요각 유의 진폭 (Amplitude of and significant roll (φ_(1/10)) : y= -3.157χ + 46.840을 각각 얻을 수 있었다. This experimental paper deals with the performance of tanks that are turned the active A.R.T(Anti-Rolling Tank) when the fluid transfers from wing tanks to the opposite tank by the power developed by the automatic control system (INTERING Stabilizer), which was installed in the fishery training ship T/S. A - RA (G/T : 990 tons) of Cheju National University. In this paper, the author has tested the performance of INTERING Stabilizer from the signals obtained by the inclinometer in irregular waves and compared with the results obtained in passive mode operation at stop and at various ship speeds. The performances of the system were confirmed the results as follows through the tests : 1. The Rates of reduction in significant roll(φ_(1/3)) of performance of Active-Rolling Tank at stop. dead slow ahead, half ahead, full ahead were obtained 47.2%, 26.3%, 7.7% 9.7%, respectively. 2. The operators had to consider to be different to change according to the various ship speeds for working. and the author could get the linea regressions about the rates of reduction at the results of a statistical analysis through the time histories of rolling angles in A.R.T. in irregular waves using various ship's speeds. In order to inhibit the growth of the malignant tumor, the development of various drugs against the malignant tumors has been archived. The combination of these drugs made the tumor therapy possible, but in many cases, secondary matastasis of the tumor to the other organs after its removal has been frequently reported. The angiostain, recently purified and cloned, not only promtes the angiogenesis of the tumor itself in the primary tumor but also inhibits the angiogenesis and metastasis of the secondary tumors. In this study, the nucleic acid sequences of the angiostatin was investigated. And the angiostain gene was expressed in a prokayotic expression system(E. coli) and a eukayotic expression system(Pichia pastoris). The angiostain gene was futher subcloned into 6 clones to characterize its biological activity. In the near future the biological activity and the biochemical property of the protein encoded by each clone will be elucidated.

77K에서 SC(NH₂)₂의 ¹⁴N 핵사중극 공명연구

강유전체 질소화합물 thiourea [SC(NH₂)₂]분말시료의 ??plused NQR 실험을 77K 에서 실행하여 공명진동수와 핵사중극 결합상수, 비대칭인자, 완화시간등을 측정했으며, 4개의 공명선이 관측되었다. 결정내에는 주위 환경이 다른 두 종류의 질소 N₁,N₂가 존재함을 알 수 있었다. N₁에 관한 공명진동수는 ??(1)=2.6487㎒, ??(1)=2.032㎒, N₂에 대하여는 ??(2)=3.1852㎑, ??(2)=2.0183㎒이고, 공명선폭은 ??(1)=2.6752㎑, ??(1)=3.1852㎑, ??(2)=3.2618㎑, ??(2)=3.5448㎑ 임을 보였다. 한편 e²qQ/h의 값은 ν(1)에서 3.1205㎒, η는 0.3953이었으며, ν(2)에서는 3.0279㎒, 0.3939이었다. 이는 이미 보고된 결과와 일치하였다. 그리고, FID(Free Induction Decay)와 spin-echo실험을 통하여 얻은 스핀-격자 완화시간 T₁은 ??(1)에서 7.143 s, ??(2)에서 5.88 s이었으며, 스핀-스핀 완화시간 T₂는 ??(1)에서 25㎳, ??(2)에서 33.3㎳, ??(2)에서 33.3㎳의 값을 얻었다. We have measured ??N NQR frequencies, nuclear quadroupole coupling constants, asymmetric parameters and relaxation times in ferroelectric nitrogen thiourea [SC(NH2)2] at 77K, and four NQR resonance lines were observed. The results of measurements show that there are two kinds of nitrogen site, N1 and N2, with different environments in the crystal. The resonance frequencies were found to be ν+(l)=2.64 87MHz, ν_(1)=2.032 MHz for N1 and ν+(2)=2.6285MHz, ν_(2) =2.0183MHz for N2 respectively. The corresponding linewidths were ν+(1)= 2.6752kHz, Δν_(l) =3.1852kHz, ν+(2) =3.2618kHz and Δν_(2) =3.5448kHz, respectively. For N1, e2Q/h is 3.1205 MHz and η is 0.3953, and for N2, these are 3.0979MHz and 0.3939. These results are in agreement with those reported previously. The spin-lattice relaxation time (Ti) and the spin-spin relaxation time (T2) by FID and spin-echo experiments are as follows : T1(ν+(1)) is 7.143 s and T1(ν+(2)) is 5.88 s. T2(ν+(1)) is 25 ms, T2(ν_(1)) is 25 ms, T2(ν+(2)) is 33.3 ms and T2(ν_(2)) is 33.3 ms.

스쿠알렌 합성 유전자를 도입한 형질전환 가시오가피

The enzyme, squalene synthase, represents a branch point in the isoprenoid pathway capable of diverting carbon flow specifically to the biosynthesis of phytosterol and Triterpenoid. Transgenic Eleutherococcus senticosus plants were prepared by introducing the genes for squalene synthase derived from Panax ginseng (PgSS1), hygromycin phosphotransferase (HPT) and green fluorescent protein (GFP) through Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. Establishment of transgenic plantlets were confirmed by the presence of PgSS1 and HPT bands in the genomic DNA preparation using a PCR method and a Southern blotting. In addition, expression of the introduced GFP DNA was confirmed by observing green fluorescence of GFP from the embroyos. In the in vitro analysis of the PgSS1 enzymatic activities the transgenic plants showed to have 1.5 to 3 times higher than wild type plant, indicating that the PgSS1 genes was well over-expressed in the transgenic plants. Especially the PgSS1 acivities of embroyogenic cell was 120 times higher than those of plantlet.

退行性關節炎 韓方治療에 對한 最近 硏究 動向 : 臨床硏究 方法論을 中心으로 Herbal Medicines in the Treatment of Osteoarthritis in Pubmed and Chinese Medical Journals

Objective : The aim of this study was to review systemically clinical trials on the effectiveness and safety of herbal medicines in the treatment of osteoarthritis. Methods : Computerized literature searches were carried out on seven electronic databases, and hand-searching on some chinese medical journals in library of Kyung Hee Medical Center. Trial data were extracted in a standardized, predefined manner and assessed independently. Results : 1. Thirty reports of clinical trials and two reports of meta-analyses concerning herbal medicine were collected and reviewed Among these reports three medical herbs were applied as topical medicine and others as internal medicine. 2. The western studies established NSAIDs or placebo as their control group. Five chinese reports established formulated herb pill(Ruanshnagshenjin pill) as their control group and Six did not establish a control group at all. 3. ACR was the most highly used diagnostic criteria in the western studies while the Chinese used their official criteria established by their government or the criteria of their text books. 4. 20 reports chose the Lequesne functional index, SHAQ, WOMAC OA index, AIMS, and their own unique scoring system as the criteria of analysing the effect. Others chose clinical symptoms, articular functions, and lab finding as their criteria. 5. 7 single herbs and 19 formulated herbs were studied. Among the formulated herbs, Achyranthes japonica was studied in 10 of the studies and Angelica gigantis Radix in 8, making them the most often studied herbs among the studies.

관상동맥 누공에 의한 급성 심근 경색 1예

관상동맥 동정맥루 기형은 매우 드문 질환으로 치료가 불필요한 경우가 대부분이나 coronary steal 현상으로 인해 증상이 발생하거나 합병증이 발생한 환자에 대해선 치료를 요한다. 최근에는 시술에 적합한 누공을 가진 선택된 환자군을 대상으로 카테터를 이용한 중재적 시술이 시행되어 수술적 치료와 유사한 결과를 얻고 있다. 저자들은 젊은 남자에서 관상동맥 동정맥루 기형과 동반된 급성 심근 경색증을 진단하여 비 수술적 방법인 카테타 코일 색전술로 성공적 치료 후 증상 및 심근 재관류에 호전을 보인 증례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. We report a case of coronary fistula between the left anterior descending and main pulmonary artery complicating acute non-Q wave myocardial infarction. A 27-year-old man visited emergency department because of severe chest pain lasting two hours. The electrocardiogram showed ST segment elevation in precordial leads V3~6. Cardiac enzymes were as follows;CK-MB:36.44 IU/L T-T:0.489 ng/mL, CPK:542 IU/L, and LDH:475 IU/L. The thallium-201 dipyridamole stress perfusion scan showed perfusion defect and reversed redistribution in the anteroseptal wall. The coronary angiogram revealed coronary artery fistula between the proximal left anterior descending artery and main pulmonary artery without significant stenoses of coronary arteries. The result of ergonovine test was negative. After micro-coil embolization to the coronary fistula, symptoms were improved. Follow-up thallium-201 scan showed normalized blood flow in the left anteroseptal wall.
